  1. My only concern is that their first real exclusive for switch is still a little ways out. I have no doubt they still have stuff for e3. Hopefully something good. the last two years have been... Well... Yeah.
  2. Those correspond with your post count, they show up on premier members posts, so not everyone has them. They progress based on how much you post, but I don't know the actual numbers for any of them.
  3. Wow, that final boss was.... not good... The entire game led up to that fight, made a massive deal of it, and it happens, and it's just basically another blight type fight. Plus, if you actually do the blight fights, half his health gets taken out before you even touch him. (Apparently if you don't do those fights, you have to fight them at the end). Meaning it makes it way easier. I mean, the entire game led up to this, every npc told me how flattened I would be if I took Ganon on. And it was just. Not worth it. I'm torn. I really like parts of this game, no, most of this game, but some if the design choices are just *so* baffling. Weapon fragility, which makes a bit of sense at the beginning, far overstays it's welcome, and than appears to be completely null in the last fight. (Or it was just too short to break the sword). The stamina bar being used for *everything* was just so annoying, and it had to be almost removed to make one of the fights playable, so I think saying it needs to be dialed back a lot is not unreasonable. The world building was top notch though. Exploring the world was so much fun and the way the game just let's you mess around aimlessly was extremely refreshing. And I actually enjoyed the story elements, they gave a lot of personality to the world. Which makes Ganon being little more than a faceless shadow kind of disappointing. I'm really torn. I want to say I liked it, but I feel like some huge mistakes where made. I'm really wondering how it got so many perfect scores.
  4. Path A of NieR Automata has been cleared! (Along with W and... S? I think it's S, but that's because I was a bit awful at the game.) I still have no clue what's going on and have started the next story path. But I'm really, really, loving this game.
  5. But the main issue I have with the stamina bar is that it's far too limiting. It's hard to judge how far I can go up and more tines than us care to admit I end up at the very top and run out of stamina and fall off. This seems needlessly frustrating. I find myself avoiding combat whenever possible, it's lethal far too often and I'm likely to trade weapons for monster parts and worse weapons. It's just not worth it. I have weapons I'm not going to use because by doing so I'll lose them, so I end up pulling out the master sword and using that since it won't ever break. To me, this is pretty terrible, a game that likes to tell you how much freedom it has is keeping me from doing something with it's design.
  6. I'm really enjoying this game, I haven't enjoyed a Zelda game this much since I played Windwaker. But... The problems I have with it are starting to grate on me. The weapon "durability" system is getting extremely annoying. And the stamina meter really, *really* needs to not ever be used again. It serves no purpose other than allowing me to get so very close to the top before I fall off of whatever I was climbing Bonus points if I fall into water and immediately drown. And god help you if you need to do anything while it's raining. Still really like the game, but I'd really like a conversation with whoever thought all of that was a good idea.
  7. On the contrary, a really good ending can right a lot of wrongs for me. I have my issues with Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, but their final battles and endings where just so outstandingly fantastic I hardly care about any of my complaints. Though it helps that I liked those games to begin with. Though Xenoblade x's ending is an almost unforgivable cliffhanger after everything seemed to be wrapped up nicely. Hopefully we actually get a sequel...
  8. I will! The wait for Zelda may kill me though. Bomberman goes for $50. I think that may be a bit much for what it offers, but multi-player is fun, even with only 2 people. But it runs smooth as butter and looks pretty. And supports up to 8 local players and can do wireless local play. I tried to find an online game earlier with no luck.
  9. Woo! I must say, first impressions are pretty strong. It feels like a really well built console. Hopefully BOTW comes early tomorrow....

    merry switchmas

I'm hoping they do less of that now due to being region free. I guess we'll see.

I'm betting on a delay honestly.

    Space is cool

Does that include the stars over the moon?
  13. *Frustrated screaming* *Clears throat*
  14. Blizzard, why do you do this to me?
  15. My friend has a site he uses to plan out builds, not sure what it is but it allows you to pick parts and see what it will likely cost. My dad works on computers for a living so I got a full rig for not that much and swapped parts out as I saw fit. I would highly recommend building it yourself, most if the steps are fairly simple. But what you need to do is decide how much you are willing to drop right now, and start picking parts based on that. Most of that money is going to go to your CPU and GPU, next is your power supply and motherboard. You really don't want to cheap out on those as you could risk frying things. If you want to play Skyrim you don't need much really, even at ultra. Loading times aren't really an issue, but if you're concerned about it you probably want an SSD which will improve loading tines, but not by much for games really, they're nice, but I don't think they're worth the current asking price. If you want to spend less I'd recommend going with an AMD build. You'll spend less and AMD has a better cost/performance ratio than the other CPU/GPU manufacturers, but it also means you have a lower performance ceiling, but that shouldn't be a problem for Skyrim.
  16. It certainly looks like they are. One of them appears to be a Rouge One set copy. But I haven't been keeping the best eye on that stuff so I don't know about that. Okay, wow, no, these are straight up lifted off the current Lego sets. And they are also more expensive? Weird... I'm gonna have to disagree with that. What this site appears to be doing (Siphoning off another companies work and selling it) should not be tolerated. Lego may be used as a generic term, but even if it's become one, opening that floodgate would be the exact opposite of a solution. I think a brand saying it's "off brand _____" is a good sign. Carbon copying a well known entities work usually isn't a good idea.
  17. So, I was browsing facebook and came across an ad for a site called connectbloks.com. they apparently have been in business since 2016 (!) And claim to offer discounted off brand Lego sets. I'm guessing this isn't legal, and they seem awfully excited about it. Just curious what you all think.
  18. I like how in Xenoblade X they tell you very specifically not go and murder every living thing you find because this is a new planet and we don't want to kill it. But than basically forces you to via missions and general grinding. I still like Spec Ops: The Line's way of doing it in that you aren't old you're making a choice and do so just by interacting with the game.
  19. Monolith's symbol came up and it was very hard to not absolutely lose it and wake everyone in my house up.
  20. Well, NieR is coming to PC so I have one platinum game to look forward to. So there's that. Fingers crossed for some good games announced with the switch, because at this point there aren't many good exclusives to look forward to.

    oh, RWBY

They seem to be trying way to hard to keep everything so secretive. They have interesting plot threads but they never seem to want to actually follow through with them. Not to mention that there's just so many different things happening in different places, and nothing is resolving.
  22. Hm... I've got a fairly decent library of assorted stories across all different forms of media and I'm having trouble thinking of anything. Closest I can think is maybe the Percy Jackson books. and that's probably pushing it. It's been quite a long time since I've read them, but all of the main characters are demigods and sort of don't fit iin with the human world and can't live with the gods so maybe? I dunno, probably pushing it.
