  1. Chapter One Part One“Anyone up for a game session? You scurvy knave, do you pertain to challengeth the great Dungeon Master?” asked Gray a grin.George snorted. “Do you have to speak that freaking poncy?” he said scathingly. “We’re not playing D&D-or did you have tucked in one of shelves somewhere?”They were all gathered at Gray’s house for a gaming session of Shotguns and Zombies. Although Gray insisted on acting like it was somehow Dungeons and Dragons, he was quite a good gamemaster, albeit a short-tempered, dramatic one, with an inclination of sending out hordes of zombies at the most inopportune moments. He also was a mutant of the speed persuasion.Gray laughed and replied, “No. I just do it to annoy the heck out of you.” He brought out the large gamemaster (although he called it “Director’s Notes”) book. “Now,” he said, heaving the book onto the table with an ‘umph’, “Who’s up for a session?”Sylvia came in, carrying a mug filled with a foul-smelling concoction of some sort. “What’s the quarrel?” she asked and downed it in one gulp. She shuddered. “Ugh.”George replied, “No, just a minor disagreement.”Sylvia was a teacher about twenty years old. She preferred to be called Silly by her friends and students, as she believed that old age was partly influenced by psychology. So far, it wasn’t working quite as well as she would like it to be.Annie followed Silly out from the kitchen, munching something. She herself was a plump girl of six years old, with above average intelligence. She was Ben's younger sister. Ben took her along to the game one evening when his parents couldn't get a babysitter for the night. So that she wouldn’t get bored, Dray quickly generated a new character for her to play.“So, are we playing?” asked Silly.“Ben’s still not here, so we can’t-” Gray said.He was interrupted by the yowling of a cat and the screeching of a car’s brakes.“That’ll be him.” said Gray, satisfied. “Why’s your brother late these days?”“His patience?” was Annie’s mathematical reply.“What?” Gray asked, confused.“The other kind, dummy.” was her reply.“Oh.”Ben burst into the room, still wearing his doctor’s coat. “Sorry, there was this…huh…gigantic boil on…”A cough from Gray stopped him. “er…too much information…”. He really said it like that. Somehow it was cut through everyone else’s chatter. “Well, who’s up for a session?”Everyone’s hands went up.“Great. Dice, now.” he said.“Wait a mo,” muttered George, digging in his pockets. “ I've got something for little Annie here… Where did I put it?”The others stared while George shook out his pockets in an effort to find what he was looking for.“Ah, here it is.” He drew out a pair of dice from a pocket. “Here, Annie.”The others looked curiously at what he had in his hand. They were a pair of dice.“Hey, they’re silver!” yelled out Silly. “Where’d you get them?”“They’re handcrafted, aren’t they?” asked Gray as he picked one up for closer scrutiny.“Yup. Smith made them. I don’t know where he got the silver from, though.”Ben muttered something about disappearing instruments. George pretended not to hear.“So, how do you like them, Annie?”Annie stood up on her stool and leaned forward to pick them up. “Thank you, George!”Gray gave a dry cough. “Can we start now?”“Sorry!” chorused everyone.“Well then,” said Gray looking around the table. “Dice.”Five pairs of hand stretched out, each holding a pair of dice. Gray’s was a pair of dice made out of wood. Numbers were inscribed on it in ink.Annie had the pair of dice given to her by George.George’s was whimsically gothic.Silly’s was a pair that looked like something out of a sci-fi game.Ben’s was a pair of dice that looked like vats of poison.“OK, since we’re all here, and not replaced by brainwashed clones of ourselves,” grinned Gray, “Let’s start.”
  2. IC:"I don't think we really want to know. Possibly it's very bloody." said Amaterasu, calmly."Glrmph." escaped from Sara's mouth as she inhaled everything Rosalina put in front of her then tried to suppress a burp. "I mean, wow." She paused for some time, then said to Rosalina, "Quicksilver's your uncle?! No wonder that scary lady was like so...mean! I'm sorry if I offended you, but it must be so fricking awesome to have someone like your uncle as your uncle! If you know what I mean!"IC:Michael leaped back, having nothing to do here. She had escaped and that probably meant punishment of some sort.Who the heck cares? He didn't want to have a messy death anyway, but it seemed to be inevitable, no matter what he did.Madness meanwhile sat motionless in his cell. He had somehow fallen asleep.OOC: Ohmigoshwhathashappened.I mean, the server has been buggy with me yesterday, so can someone bring up to date on anything important?
  3. IC:Sara said, waving a hand, "You know, the scary woman who told you to kill me if I lied about me not being Weapon X?""I'm not, by the way."OOC: She means Amaterasu.
  4. You become insane from the mental strength needed to use it and you eventually destroy yourself.I wish I could control space-time with no disadvantages.
  5. They do, and the main character comes to your house for revenge.I wish....that I could think of more stories and I can write them down AND publish them and become rich and famous. With no illegal means
  6. It's raining cats and dogs here.

  7. IC:Sara looked like she was about to drool, the fish smelled delicious. Even better than some of the food in the institute. At the thought about the institute, she started worrying about Madness. "Thanks! I hadn't had Mac and cheese in a long time!" She paused for a moment, thinking."By the way, who was the woman that...you know...found me on the roof?"
  8. I can ace a lot of tests with just a glance of what I need to study.I cannot get fat, although I eat a lot.
  9. All right. So this is the review topic for the Madness and Mayhem epic.EDIT: Due to my absent mindedness, I forgot the crucial words. Can someone edit it for me?OK, so this may be seen as me trying to hang on to someone's coattails, but this was already written some time ago in a fit of boredom. And it's set in an alternate universe, although some basic mechanics are the same. So, here's the main epic.First chapter, part one is up.
  10. PrologueIt was strangely appropriate that Madness was born in a time of chaos. At the time he was born, the world was in turmoil. Here is a sampling of what had happened. China had reclaimed Hong Kong, which voiced its opinions on the matter very loudly. Err…The USSR had broken up some years ago, leaving Captain America depressed and suicidal. Oops.About half of the world had professed atheism, sapping the strength and powers of the Æsir–Vanir gods in Asgard. Ouch. But most important of all, For some reason, people decided to blame mutants for everything, causing them to be the bogeypeople. Even the other, non-mutant heroes did that. Oh dear. That didn’t really affect Madness’ life yet, anyway. However, the first obstacle he ever had in his life was surviving the first few hours of his life. You see, the government of his country also decided to jump the bandwagon and blame the mutants for every problem that they faced. Eventually, they implemented a policy that stated mutants were to be killed, regardless of age or ability. Either that or it was to join the army for life. There was a lot of opposition to this, of course, and people protested, but the people protested soon disappeared or changed their minds quickly. The hospital in which Madness was born was run by moderate thinking people who didn't like the new mutant policy. They believed that everyone was equal, so they did not kill any mutant babies and falsified records concerning them. When Madness was born, he didn't display any untoward unusual baby traits (although he did have a more than average large head). He didn't speak complete sentences or fly around. In fact, he was a peaceful, quiet baby.Or so it seemed.Mutations ran in the Walker family, and Madness was no exception. (His father could program anything, his mother could sing enchantingly) When he eventually started crawling, his parents were delighted and amazed and slightly bit puzzled when they found he could traverse walls and ceilings without any help. All was peachy in the family, but it was not to last. Here's the review topic.
  11. I can write extremely good stories on paper, started to play the erhu at Grade 2, read too many books, aim too high and listens to weird music and etc.etc.
  12. IC: Witch"Thank you! By the way, who was the woman that...you know..."OOC: Meaning Amaterasu (Ammy)
  13. Oh my. What an epic epic. (That's deliberate.)I am impressed, and wondered why I didn't pick up the courage to post mine. And thanks for making me wanting to post one too.
  14. OOC: Flex, I think you may have got my characters' powers mixed up. Madness (as in insanity) was muttering something intelligible and possibly rude. Michael was the one using the shadows.IC: Michael cursed. Shadow had somehow avoided his attack, so he decided to jump back and sent a hailstorm of needles at her.IC: Madness muttered something even more ruder and unintelligible. Too many mad people around here. He walked back to his cell room and just collapsed on the bed. He then noticed he was still holding the staff."Oh." Well, since no one was looking...He started to swing the staff, and began fighting with the air, weaving a potentially dangerous pattern around him. When he had enough and was tired, he placed the staff somewhere on the side of the wall. And he started to laugh. It was a glad laugh, as he now knew something about himself. He could fight extremely well. Especially with a staff. Maybe that would tell him who he was.
  15. IC:"Suprise me. Just don't throw it in my face. " she replied with a cheeky grin.
  16. IC:"Cook it?"OOC: Problem? :troll face:
  17. OOC: LOOK. Can we all just calm down, swallow our egos and admit that all of us are wrong and right at the same time? That goes for me too, so I'm sorry for posting this possibly nonsense rant.IC:Sara's smile dropped open into a black gap when she saw the insides of the fridge. "Wow...I mean....I think I would like...um...do you have any salmon?"
  18. IC: Sara and Amaterasu"Did that toaster just....talk?" asked Sara asked she followed Rosalina to the fridge.Amaterasu went to another corner of the room and started to meditate. She had no time for snobbish children, although she didn't blame the girl for being that way. After all, it's hard having a descendant of Magneto as your uncle and attempting to remain humble. IC: Madness and Michael Madness muttered something intelligible and possibly very rude. The guy who ran this place was obviously insane and gigantically sadistic to force other people to risk getting everyone killed.Michael, having no wish of looking like a possible pinata after a horde of children had descended on him, ran and leapt through the hole, avoiding the flame bursts. He sent two tendrils of darkness at Shadow, attempting trip her up.
  19. To get the golden mask, why not do a sacrificial pool to get it? I'm sure with the correct coding, instead of getting it unretrieveable like lava, it would actually transform the mask.
  20. I believe at BZPower would be a gigantic space station. As for my city, I would try to be everywhere but my home base would be somewhere in the CoT.
  21. IC:"I'm Sara," smiled her. "Nice to meet you. So, what can you do? I can take away pain and give it to other people!" She was recovering from the attack quickly.Amaterasu walked off, saying, "You will have to be a bit more ruthless to take up your uncle's mantle, child."
  22. IC: Madness (752)Madness backtracked and came up behind the crowd, who were facing off with the girl. "Shoot."The flamethrower was still blasting at her, as far as he knew, so he asked a nearby mutant. "What's happening?"IC: Witch and Amaterasu"Excuse me." asked Amaterasu, tapping Rosalina's shoulder. "Can you children help me with this girl?", she asked, pushing Sara forward. "I'm not good with children, that's why."She added, "Kill her if she actually lied to us all, about not being with Weapon X."IC: MichaelHe went downstairs. That moron of a colonel had asked, (more like demanded and threatened) everyone to bring in Shadow. Who had escaped.Maybe....If he got her, he could ask for her help.He ran and skidded to a halt, hearing the words, "bombs" and "trigger".
  23. Sounds a bit like the End to me. Also, why not soething like the Codex, a room that immediately kills you if you enter immediately, and his weapons are based on your weapons? Also, if on a server, you can have up to six people to access the Lair, or if that's impossible, AIs.I'm sorry that I can't do anything practical, I really want to help.I do think it's a good idea, ToV. Or maybe Makoki Stones as a key?
  24. IC:"Your....beloved. Does he have a name exactly?" asked Madness.Atlanteans...how he wished that Jocasta was here. Where was she now?IC:Meanwhile in New York."I need sanctuary, I'm telling you! There's this ****** who's trying to kill me?"The hero was one of those people that loved to deny other people things."And who is the person exactly?" he asked, lounging in the swivel chair and placing his feet on the desk.Ugh. He didn't wash his shoes. There was something white on them, and it didn't look like chewing gum, much less smell like it."She's not on your database, so what can I tell you? She has a lot of resources and she wants to kill me!"
  25. IC:"At the Institute." She talked to the lady holding her. Although she seemed scary, the man talking to her was even more scary and looked like a puppy eater. "They almost got me, but I hid in the ceiling and used the service elevators to get into the garage."Amaterasu looked at her, one eyebrow raised. "At the Institute? ""You're not going to kill me, aren't you?" asked Sara.Amaterasu's response to that was a curt "Not yet."IC:After smashing the last of the dummies, Madness (752) ran out, hearing the Colonel's voice on a loudspeaker. At least, he knew one thing. He was a Weapon, whatever that was, and that he was at the beck and call of the owner of that voice. He rushed out and hid at an alcove, as a bunch of guards, a bipedal wolf, and two girls passed by, headed to the inner sanctums of this place. He hadn't ditched the staff, but held on to it.He ran to intercept, but shrank back to avoid the sudden burst of flame. He had to find another way around. He ran to the cells. Maybe there was a corridor leading to the other way...He went in and was greeted by the silent, imploring stares of some people.
