  1. I have an annoucement to make. I am introducing a custom species known as the Anzaros (approved by Nuju.) and a plot to go with them.AnzarosPower Equivalent: ToaPhysical Appearance/abilities:The primary physical difference from Toa is the presence of four arms rather than two.The placement of these arms is variable. They may be on the shoulders or slightly beneath them, even on the hips or back. All hands have retractable claws.Anzaros do have difficulty performing too many tasks with their arms. They can easily use two arms for complex tasks or carry four items, but performing complex tasks with all four requires strong focus. Using both powers at the same time requires equal focus. In terms of color, Anzaros can have any color scheme, usually two-toned. Anzaros with elements usually have colors linked to their element, but not always.Anzaros can wear Kanohi, but cannot use them. The first Anzaros power will shut off without a powerless Kanohi, and the second set of arms will cease to function, becoming completely paralyzed. Going for a week or more without a Kanohi will make an Anzaros very tired, and several weeks will result in a coma.Anzaros have a high degree of spatial awareness, and their culture and brain structure lead them to adopt what might be considered the philosophy of a squirrel: Try, Adapt, and Repeat. Anzaros try to solve problems, and if they fail, they change their approach and try again. Anzaros are incredibly persistent and find it difficult to give up. Like a squirrel, Anzaros are skilled acrobats and leapers, and excellent climbers. In addition to the weaknesses provided by any power, and the relation of Anzaros to powerless Kanohi, they are more vulnerable to electric shock. Anzaros with Lightning, Magnetic, or Vertigo powers have normal resistance in comparison with other species. Their homeland is also tropical, and Anzaros thus suffer from extreme cold. Anzaros of Ice have average resistance to cold, in comparison with non-Ice elementals of other species. All Anzaros also have a set of pressure points that can disable their limbs. When struck, these points will trigger nerves in the associated arm(s) that cause extreme pain, basically disabling those arms for about two minutes. Each armpit has a pressure point that disables the associated arm. In between the four arms on the back is a pressure point that disables all four limbs at once.Possible Powers:First Power:One legal elemental power. Anzaros have 50% of a Toa’s elemental power, and cannot absorb elemental energy to recharge an element or block an attack.Second Power:Elemental Absortion- On physical contact, elemental energy can be absorbed from a being that has access to it. (So this power does not apply to Matoran, and only applies to Skakdi if you can get hold of two.) This elemental energy becomes physical energy for the user. In order to drain, one needs to maintain physical contact with the victim.Acid: User can fire blasts of acid. Acid cannot eat through protosteel. Users tend to have a nasty personality. An Anzaros can hurt themselves with this power.Magma Control: This power allows the user to control existing supplies of magma or lava. Bringing up lava from beneath the ground is difficult in environments beyond Ta-Wahi. This makes users of this power somewhat helpless away from Ta-Wahi. The best technique to over-come this is to carry a special backpack with tanks made of lava rock that can safely contain a small amount of Magma. Lava can also be kept hot by adding heatstone to these tanks. Typically best to use by firing over the shoulder like a bazooka after removing the lid. Note that Magma Control applies to molten rock that is in a liquid state, nothing else like fire or stone.Force Field Creation: User can create force-fields in any shape, with certain strength limits. These begin to break like glass when exposed to the strength of a Pakari or the weight of three Toa. A field will only last for three minutes underwater, and continual exposure to water can cause parts of field to dissolve. Limit one field at a time, requiring some energy to maintain and complete focus.Bezerk-When angered, users of this power gain incredible Pakari-like strength and lose the ability to feel pain in battle. However, in battle rage, the Anzaros has no clue how much damage they have taken, and can think of nothing but destroying their enemies. Fighting tactically is next to impossible with this power.Numb- Temporarily robs target of a sense of touch. Requires physical contact to activate. Longer duration of contact will increase numbness duration. Target can still move, though it is difficult to do so, since they cannot feel their own movements. The sense of touch returns gradually over time.Seismic Sphere: Anzaros can make and charge a seismic sphere that releases it’s energy on contact, often strong enough to shatter stone or damage armor. Charging one takes at least two hands and requires some physical energy. A sphere takes at least a few seconds to charge to the point where it can cause damage, and reaches maximum charge at three minutes, at which point it must be used or it will hurt the user. The sphere can be thrown or plunged directly into the targeted object, the second being the more risky of the two. A fully charged sphere is enough to break a standard stone wall, and it’s creator will generally collapse from exhaustion.Vertigo-User can fire green energy blasts that induce vertigo in targets when struck. Power requires physical energy. Target can recover faster by focusing on their sense of balance.Kinetic Immunity: Melee strikes and projectiles without special abilities have no effect on the user. This does not effect elemental attacks or Kanohi Matatu. User must be aware of attacks for power to function.Charging: On contact, the user can charge others to enhance a physical attribute such as strength, speed, agility, reflexes, hearing and smell temporarily. This can be used on allies to assist them. The longer the charge contact, the greater the increase. User loses proportionate amount of energy. Sight cannot be enhanced beyond what a telescope can provide. Max one enhancement and one target at a time.Rules on Parakuka:Parakuka function normally, providing boosts in exchange for energy and preventing the user from utilizing their powers.Culture: The most significant note on Anzaros culture is, perhaps, about a Toa called “The Silver Hawk.” The Anzaros hold this Toa in high esteem, and believe that he is a direct servant of Mata Nui (Or Makuta, depending upon the allegiances of an Anzaros.) It is said that he leads a team of six, and that he and his team could make all of nature bend to their will when they worked together. Legends indicate that this Toa created the first of them when he was a Matoran, and that he was of the element of Magnetism. The hawk and other birds of prey were symbols of particular importance to him and his people. These legends are exaggerations in some ways, but they do contain kernels of truth. The Anzaros actually think there homeland to be the island of Mata Nui in the time before time. The Anzaros have maintained their factions since the time when they were at war.The Thunderflash are in search of the long-lost Silver Hawk. Seeing the grave danger that Makuta may pose to the life of their legend, if he is even still alive, those Anzaros who support Mata Nui have loosely banded together to defend the island, under the leadership of an Anzaros named Akami, and her unofficial deputy , the Keeper of Legends, Thykius, who is the first Anzaros. These Anzaros form a loose faction called the Thunderflash. This name rises from another symbol of significance in Anzaros culture, thunder, considered important, as their home island was often stormy, and lightning was often the only source of illumination. These Anzaros have taken high morals, following the Toa Code. They are quite compassionate.Other Anzaros, however, have come to believe that Makuta must have created and taught the Silver Hawk, because Makuta has been seen to actively bend nature where Mata Nui has not. These Anzaros also are prone to believe that Mata Nui is dead or has abandoned the Matoran, much as Brutaka once did. Makuta promised that he would eventually reveal to them the Silver Hawk in exchange for their service. Thus, these Anzaros have formed a loose organization known as the Darkcloud to serve Makuta. The name arises from a mysterious cave on their homeland which a stream of thunderclouds constantly streams forth, producing the storms that plague their land. This cave may once have been a lair of Makuta. These Anzaros are the darkest in terms of morals, and are known to actively oppose the other two factions, going so far as to attack them. They will still listen to Thykius, however, though they may not obey his commands. The Leader of this faction is currently unknown, (so I am taking applications to do it.)The third and final Anzaros tribe is known as the Black Inferno. They are the second darkest of the Anzaros tribes, but they are rather selfish-though they respect Mata Nui enough to serve him to a certain extent, they are still liars, thieves, murderers and the like. The name of their tribe also comes from their home as well, referring to a volcano where fire burns black and cold, leaving behind ice-like coals. The leader of this faction is the Toa of Plasma Vilor. This faction respects Thykius well enough to obey him-if they see it to their benefit.Note that each faction should have a Keeper of Legends and that posisition is open to players in Darkcloud and Black Inferno. The following information is told from the perspective of Thykius, Thunderflash Keeper of Legends, and First of the Anzaros:Long ago in Lands of Legends in the Time of the Time Before Time, existed a Matoran of Magnetism known as the Silver Hawk, once, he was but a simple locksmith and silversmith, but he began to master other arts, until he was the finest craftsman in Land of Legend after Artahka himself. He could make anything, and his part of the Land of Legend were full of craftsmen, who were also among the best of the best. These craftsmen were protected by a Toa of Magnetism, myself, Thykius. I was among the greatest of heros, and the power of the Great Lightstone ran in my blood, keeping me strong. I protected the villages of the craftsmen alone, having come after hearing of there need for a Toa, which had resulted in some of the craftsmen committing great atrocities to their own kind in an attempt to make heroes of their own.One day in a great battle I was wounded and fell ill. The only way to cure this illness was to change my body greatly and replace my damaged tissues.* The Silver Hawk saw fit to do this himself, and so I was changed from my Toa form into that of an Anzaros-the very first of our kind. Though I became an Anzaros, I had expected to die, and I had forseen the battle in which I was too be injured. I hid a Toa Stone for the Hawk to find, as I saw within him the potential to become a great hero. He found the stone shortly after my operation and accidentally triggered it with a device intended to test the properties of minerals. Thus he became a Toa as well. I trained him in the use of his powers and lead him to become a great warrior like myself, even beyond my retirement. The Hawk was indeed a great warrior. He even helped the Toa in wars alongside Cyclonis, legendary Toa of Air, and assembled under his wing a team of Toa Craftsmen like himself, the Akiru, whom he lead into battle against creations gone wrong-Cordakis, the famed “bringers of desolation.”After the Hawk lead these wars, the Hawksmith became disillusioned with the constant violence of the Land of Legends, and this grieved him and brought great pain to his heart. So began a personal quest that brought him great hope, though that is another legend in itself. While the Hawk was on this quest, in another part of the Land of Legends trouble brewed. Toa and many others gathered to wage war with those monsters who had wounded me and others they loved on their behalf, and in battle many became wounded themselves. It was Destiny that Hawk was close by, and many more Anzaros came to be during the days of those battles. They took the island where they had been wounded as their home, and I became their Keeper of Legend, so that we might not forget our past and that great anger at those who wounded us only brought more pain and sorrow. But more darkness and destruction came to the Land of Legend, when the one known as the Dark Lord came. He altered the land of the Anzaros, and twisted in many ways that ought not to be spoken of. I will mention only a few to spare the listener’s sanity. Mountains began to spew clouds of storm and darkness, and the sky of the island became that of a terrible dark and stormy night. Only Thunder ever lit the night, and Lightstones were few and far between. A mountain that held Great Fire grew cold and began to spew Great Cold instead. Even the ashes of that mountain were frozen, darker than the darkest of black ice. These are only some of the perversions that the Dark Lord released on the land, and the rest of the things he did to our tropical paradise will not be said, other than this:In the center of the land a Great Tree was planted, and this tree had fruit of power that held much energy. The tree was named Vuata Muaca, and so it became much sought after. The Anzaros wished to have the tree for themselves, and three factions emerged to battle for it.One faction became loyal to the Dark Lord himself, believing that he might show them the secrets of the tree, and they named themselves the Darkcloud after the storms spewed out by the mountains. They were the darkest of the tribes and more brutal than words could say.As the Darkcloud began the wars, another Toa came to the Land of Legend, Vilor, Toa Who Betrayed All Toa. His plasma was bright, but his heart bore great darkness and shadows. Within him was a volcano of rage, and it would destroy those who opposed him. He cared for none but himself and treated only those useful to him well. He tought a third of the Anzaros his ways of selfisheness. He became known as the Orange Vulture, a mockery of the Silver Hawk and one of his greatest enemies. They called themselves the Black Inferno for the Mount of Cold Lava. These Anzaros became just like Vilor, the brute who lead them in battle, selfish and uncaring. Finally, a small group of Anzaros clung to what little light there was, and named themselves the Thunderflash, since the power of Lightning was all that ever lit the night. I, Thykius, became their Keeper of Legends because they were the only tribe which I could call home. They were led by the power of Akami, Queen of the Waves, who was mighty with the power of the sea. Many who were not ‘strong’ enough to live in the other tribes, with their ‘mighty’ brutality, found refuge in us. In truth, this refuge brought them greater strength in Unity. Though we were not strong in number, our united forces though to better and care for one another, and so we were stronger than our foes.In our continual turmoil, there was but one path to peace, one being that all the Anzaros might listen too and obey- the Silver Hawk. The wars raged on and on, and many great battles ensued. The worst of them was about to ensue when something happened-The Great Tree glowed with Great Light and a voice spoke-‘Your battle is not meant to continue here. You must go elsewhere. The Anzaros will fight again, but must not finish the battle here.’ Then followed a great flash and power flowed out of the tree, and the Anzaros found themselves scattered. This is the last of our story that I remember, until I, Thykius, Akami, Queen of the Waves, and the noble soldier Dekai came to this land. Tell me-what Legends have transpired in the Land of Legends while I was gone?Anzaros base profile[Fill in and remove brackets](Parenthesis provide guidelines to follow.)[Name][Gender] Anzaros of [Element]Second Power: (Copy paste description here, and add any relevant tendancies, like details on magma canisters or skill level details, in a second paragraph here.)Weapons: (Anything normal goes, but spears and shields are recommended-one of their organized military tactics is a phalanx. Making the fullest use of four arms is encouraged.)Appearance: (Include color scheme, eye color, mask shape, and most importantly, clearly describe the positioning of your arms.)History: (Only go in-depth on pre-island history with review from Tabby: Toa of Cats, please.)Personality: (Anything goes)Weaknesses: (In addition to species weaknesses, list at least one individual weakness.)Feel free to add additional segments as needed. That should be most of the information you need to create an Anzaros. Feel free to ask me questions. I plan for the Black Inferno and Thunderflash to start finding their way to the battle in Pala-Koro. Some political tensions will emerge after the battle that will make things interesting. Note that both factions would probably fight for the ILF, because they are anti-Makuta, even if they are total opposites.Darkcloud can meet anywhere.Note, also that the Anzaros think (or soon will) that they have been transported forward in time to a future version of the Land of Legends. In the words of Thykius, "Let legends begin anew." (In other words, go make some Anzaros, and please PM if you do.)
  2. OOC:If I recall correctly, Cy was standing on a roof. I'll work that to my advantage.IC:Cy felt his weight increase, and at the same time heard a creaking below. A Toa was flying at him, intending to slash him. Stomping, he dropped his vaccums and crashed through the roof. His Kadin allowed him to slow his fall slightly. When he landed, Cy placed something on the ground beneath the hole. It was one of the Madu Cabolo he had flown out for earlier. If his opponent jumped through the hole, chances were that he would land on the fruit. It was a very good trick for such a short time-in the dark, the chances of seeing the fruit in time were extremely low. The hut was even darker than the surrounding village. With that, Cy triggered his mask, managing a leap to the door that he had to lean on afterwords with his weight. He let out a groan of pain against the heated armor-he would have to resist the urge to take it off. He shouted "Kivar!" at the top of his lungs. Even with the noise of battle, it would not be impossible for the Toa of Sonics to hear him.OOC:Constructman, can you break off gravity and heat, since you can't see Cy? Gone till monday.
  3. OOC:Not certain a Toa of Fire could directly heat armor without air to move heat through, since creation of an element is generally done from the hands, but I don't feel like arguing too much. IC: Cy felt another sudden burst of heat, and raised a vaccum by instinct. This protected him from bursting into flames, for they could not burn without oxygen, but he found his armor was still increasing in heat, to the point where it was uncomfortable. Cy then dropped his other vaccums to deal with the Toa of Fire, absorbing the air from around him instead. Without air to breathe, and heat to absorb, Cy could force a quick cut-off of the fire attack. He already intended to follow his foe with the vaccum, cutting off escape.
  4. IC:"You will be happy to know that I keep my employees quite busy with my little Black Inferno. However, our job interview tend to be rather atypical. They open with a combat test. To be clear, no kills until we're in the field." Vilor wasted no time, raising a hand and opening with a plasma hand that flew towards his foe. From behind came impact vision, a sonics blast and a burst of lightning.---Matatu, Vilor's ever observant guard, tossed the head of a Vortixx into a nearby pile that contained four limbs-and no torso. It was the result of the last being who had undergone Inferno testing. He observed the newcomer carefully, looking for a weakness.
  5. OOC:Wrong, Kal. Vaccum is the absorbtion of air, meaning that Cy will get more powerful the more he uses the vaccums. The only thing this taxes is his focus. Firing stone arrows and running inside a vaccum is not recommended. It really drains your oxygen supply.IC: Cy felt the air heat up around him, long experience in the art of combat telling him that this was often a precursor to fire attacks. Covering everything but his mouth in vaccum, Cy protected himself from the fire by cutting off the air it needed to burn.Spotting stone arrows flying at him from below, Cy breifly dropped his vaccum around Skaaraa to focus on a different tactic-a very brief but powerful cyclone returned the arrows to the ground with twice the force. (OOC:Yes, look out for these and dodge on both sides.) Feeling a stationary posistion from which he had a better view of projectiles might be better when expending this much focus, Cy landed on a nearby roof. He dropped the vaccum around himself, figuring the Toa of Fire might realize that his element was useless against Toa of Air.He noticed that the one who had shot stone at him was attempting to run. With the vaccum tracking him all the way and the deliberate attempt to escape, Cy figured this Toa was likely to overexert himself and finish off his oxygen supply very quickly.Cy then returned his focus to Skaaraa, adding another vaccum around him.
  6. OOC:I don't think Skaaraa escaped the vaccum IC, but to save time debating, I'll just realign it.IC:Ira's attack fell short due to Cy's constant Kadin movement.Cy found himself annoyed by the tactics of the Mahiki users. Previous experience with Ziraul had taught him how annoying the Mahiki could be, however, and these were nowhere near the limit. Thankfully, experience with Ziraul had also taught him to detect them. He dropped his vaccums A weak wind blew across the battlefield, revealing the locations of those who were hiding behind their masks to Cy, as he focused on disruptions in the air current. Locating Skaaraa, Kuhrun and KuLaNo, Cy targeted them with larger vaccums-slipping out of them would take more time, and he would cause the vaccums to follow his foes this time.
  7. IC:It was not long before the party of three emerged onto the beach. Vilor inquired, "Now who is this?"Makkan moved his stone platform behind, cutting off any escape routes, while Takari answered, "I believe he wants to discuss business." Ziraul, Matatu, and Tirax moved into place as well, creating a circle around Heulrak with Vilor at the head. "Go ahead. Talk." Vilor's voice boomed, an intimidating noise.
  8. IC:Cy spotted Madrihk going two on one with Makuta followers. Time for a little surprise. He targeted both with vaccum, cutting off their hearing and breath, threatening to make both Skaaraa and Kuhrin pass out. He shouted to Madrihk, "I have them in vaccum. Fight or flee!"Cy circled around in the air, weaving in patterns that would make him very tricky to hit. With his foes struggling for breath anyways, it was unlikely they could spare much energy to shoot him anyways.
  9. IC:Takari noted that the two Toa of Crystal seemed to be faring well. Takari could...sympathsize with Mirehu's situation, being that his own was not too far away. Recruiting a fairly innocent Toa was something that he simply couldn't do. So he turned away to check Makkan's luck. "Although," Heulrak added, "I would like to meet your boss before I turn down such a gracious offer.""Then come with us. We'll lead you to Vilor. You should be pleased to meet the Black Inferno."With that taken care of, Takari led the way towards the south beach.
  10. OOC:I want to note this for Parakuka users-remember that your Parakuka has a ten minute limit. Eventually you have to deactivate. With how long this fight has been going, it could (and probably should) happen soon for many of you.Earlier in the fight...IC: Cy was surprised when the wall exploded beneath him, and instinctively rode the pressure wave up with his Kadin. Even long after it had dissipated, Cy continued to fly higher, vanishing into the dark skies.Turning around and flying above the village, he surveyed what damage he could. Whatever had caused the walls to explode must have done so from within. That meant that someone-one of the workers-must have betrayed them. But the explosion gave Cy an idea-one he considered a risk worth taking. Remembering a Madu tree grove used by the Gukko Force on occasion, not far from Lake Pala, he flew off. Landing in the middle, he emptied both his dust bag , and partially his sling bag. He placed the contents of both in a hollow tree. Then he turned his attention to the fruit around him, and picked eight Madu Cabolo. Not fully grown and easier to fit in his bags, they were also more explosive-a tactical advantage. Slipping the fruit into his pack, he flew over Pala-Koro, circling and looking for targets.OOC:If you would like a Madu grenade targeted at a Makuta follower, say so.
  11. OOC:Previous post edited.IC: Makkan and Takari observed the two Toa of Crystal and Toa of Earth. The comment on Heulrak's nature caught Makkan's attention-as much as he disliked bringing one in, it sounded like he might make a good recruit or ally for the Inferno. If nothing else, he was obviously wealthy-a potential target. Makkan followed him on a floating stone platform. "How would you like to make those widgets back-and more? Because, from the description I caught of you, you sound like my boss's type."
  12. IC:The broadsword missed it's target as Makkan directed the stone platform to his left. A second later, a stone wall erupted in the path of the Earth Toa.Takari asked, "Are you sure you don't want any help?"
  13. IC:With the Black Inferno reorganized, Takari and Makkan were "free" to go and look for some trouble. Or, more accurately, ordered to. When they spotted the being chasing the thief, they followed for several streets, leaping from rooftop to rooftop with the aid of their Kanohi."New recruit? Or recruits?""Slaves or targets if nothing else. I'll take Goldie. You take the runner," Makkan grumbled."On it. No one outruns me."Takari leaped, and carried himself higher with his Matatu, using his increased momentum to land in front of Mirehu with an impressive mid-air twist . "Would you care for some help getting out of here?----Why do I do this job? Because Vilor will...do bad things if you don't.Makkan leaped into the air, creating a stone platform and making it hover with his Kanohi. Flying in front of the Toa of Earth, he asked, "Where are you going?"
  14. IC: Vorok felt the yank, and used his Calix in an expert move. The power of the yank brought him forward, and he used the momentum to flip over his foe, landing upright on the other side. The problem with one-handed grips was that they had a weak point-the thumb. Even a brute could have difficulty with this. Vorok activated his Calix again, twisted his arm so the narrow part was angled to slip past the thumb, and grabbed his fist and blade with his other hand. With all his might, he yanked, and slipped past the thumb. This brought a flash of pain, however-though Vorok did not take the time to look, the natural claws of a Parakuka user had damaged his wrist.Leaping away, Vorok increased the power of gravity on his foe's limbs well past the point where he might move them, and transferred his blade to the other hand. His blade came down in a repeat of his earlier move, but it would be more difficult to block this time.Worse, Kivar, freed of his foe, spotted Vorok, and added a sonics blast to the fray.
  15. IC:Seeking a task, Cy mounted the wall, and loaded a weapon he had not used in a while. His sling. Whirling a rock above his head, Cy unleashed it against one of the attackers outside the wall-Echelon. He ducked behind one of the battlements, unsure as to how many projectiles might be lobbed back at him. In preparation, he loaded another stone.
  16. Mahiki, under game rules, cannot do an illusionary version of the Pehkui. Physical shapeshifting is banned, and total invisibility via Mahiki (going to small to see) is also banned. So that's distinctly beyond the limits. Also note that the Mahiki cannot blind. I'm really sorry Tabby, but could you edit this? Kughii and I have already agreed what will happen to Zadron next so I'd really appreciate it if you left him alone for the time being...I suppose, yes. That means he needs something else to do, though...
  17. OOC:Tyrana users, don't forget the dead ash bear. Ghosthands, note that Cy's blast was intended to only send Zadron parallel to the ground, but as multiple posts were based on upward directionality, I'll let it slide.EDIT:Cy's orgional action nulled by request of Ghosthands, due to plot plans.IC: Losing track of the Vortixx, Cy began looking for other foes.
  18. IC: In the darkness of the night, Kivar's new-found foe had failed to notice his shield. The enemy's blade slammed right into it, and Kivar opened with an omnidirectional attack, blasting sound out in all directions so that no approach was safe for the teleporter. The sound was loud enough to severely disrupt focus, making teleportation, elemental powers or blade-work more difficult to use. Kivar's hearing was not affected by this, it seemed: his powers allowed him to create a zone of silence around his head.Vorok spotted the movement of his foe in an attempt to tackle him. His Calix let him leap over his enemy as he drew his blade, completely unscathed by the move. Coming from behind, and slightly to the side, Vorok attempted to use his sword pommel to deliver a mighty blow to the head, his Calix fully behind the enhanced weight of the descending sword handle. The ash bear, intent on charging at Echelon, found itself slammed by the force of the axe, killing it.
  19. Technically, this isn't quite correct. You've lessened the weight of the tree, not its mass; consequently, the tree's not going to be much easier to swing; air resistance and inertia will slow it down thanks to its large mass and volume. Besides that, the force of the blow really depends on how strong the wielding Toa is.IC (Echelon)Echelon advanced with the rest of the Makuta-Followers at a brisk walk, flanked by his Skakdi Juggernauts. As they approached the gate, it was blocked by several defenders. One of them appeared to be using some sort of power to slow down the front-runners of the assault.Echelon could deal with that.Summoning his magnetic powers, he sent a wave of force, which rippled above the heads of the Makuta-Followers, but quickly moved downwards at the gate-defenders. The repulsive magnetic force was totally invisible, and wide enough to cover the whole gate. Unless the group had a very effective way to counter magnetism, it would send them flying out of the way, and clear the path for the army to advance.OOC:As somebody mentioned before, Echelon needs to remember the elemental dampening field. Also, he needs to watch out, because there's an ash bear charging at the gate. Don't you love the Kanohi Zatth?IC:(Ash Bear, NPC) The ash bear summoned by Kivar soon found it's mark, charging Echelon from behind and leaping at his back. Unless Echelon had his Skakdi brawlers in the rear, then the only thing that could protect him from teeth and claws was perhaps himself. OOC: I forgot to have Vorok increase the weight of the tree as it came down, which would have more than equalized the blow, perhaps reversed your response. Oh well. IC: [Vorok]Vorok increased the weight of the tree so suddenly and sharply that it dropped to the ground, creating a snapping sound as limbs broke off and rustling noises from the movement of the jungle leaves. Even a Pakari user would have been unable to move the tree now that it weighed so much. The follow-through of the swipe continued to move it along the ground for several seconds, and Vorok used his Calix to vault over the tree as it passed by. Finally, he pushed the weight up even further, to the point where he crushed the tree under it's own gravity, rendering it a pile of twisted splinters. With that taken care of, Vorok turned to his foe's second worst weapon, his obvious Pakari-level strength. No one could lift a tree so easily without that, or at least his element. Right now, he was glad that his element had time to recharge since the deal with Ziraul. Unleashing a grunt, Vorok finally targeted his foe's weight, attempting to increase his mass well beyond the point where someone of his strength ought to have been able to move. Confident in his element, Vorok strode forward at a casual pace, intending to take advantage of the likely immobilization to deliver one of his favorite gifts. If one really wanted to be precise, that happened to be a concussion. ---Kivar looked for something he could help with, and spotted someone attacking Alfon near a lightstone. Noticing a gleam of crystal, he figured that the foe was trying to attack with something like a crystal dagger. Nothing he couldn't take care of. A stream of high intensity sound targeted the crystal as well as the general area for several seconds, more than powerful enough to crack it and unleash the chemicals within upon the attacker's own hand. Even if it didn't accomplish that, there was the chance that it might disorient the attacker-and perhaps Alfon with him.Cy looked around for a fight to join in. It would be prudent to keep back somewhat, in case an attacker came from the skies, but helping everyone was also wise to him. Spotting a Vortixx, one unknown to him, attacking a Toa of Sonics, he targeted him with a sequence of two air pressure waves.**OOC:That's Zadron, Ghosthands. Note that Cy's technique is basically the same one used by Jedi to deliver a force push.
  20. IC:Cy, Kivar and Vorok were alerted to the battle when a tree crashed over the wall. This resulted in quick action from Vorok, who moved over, and picked it up. This was no challenge for him, as he simply lightened the weight to where it was no longer an issue for his Calix. Spotting a being hefting a smaller tree, likely the thrower of the one that just went over the wall, Vorok rose from the ground and came down in a powerful move, swinging the tree to smash the foe beneath it.Cy readied himself, two invisible zones of increased air pressure charging in his hands. He readied himself for combat, as did Kivar next to him. His mask glowed briefly, and an ash bear charged towards whoever happened to be at the gate. With the number of Makuta followers currently entering, there was a chance someone was going to get mauled. Kivar kept a close eye on it, ready to control it with his knowledge of the Rahi languages if it attempted to harm someone in the newly named ILF.OOC:Cy open for dueling, w/Kivar for backup. The tree wielding Parakuka user is under attack by Vorok, who also happens to be using the previous tree. Ash bear brought by Zatth attacking gate. PM if you attack me.
  21. IC:"Green Tornado, unofficial assistant of the Gukko Force. This is Vorok, a Toa of Gravity and marksmen who happens to be a friend of mine, and Kivar, a naturalist." He pointed to both the Toa behind him. "Madrihk, do you have a quill and ink?"
  22. IC: Madrihk"Sounds good," Madrihk said. "We'll talk more about it tomorrow, though. For now, let's just get those lights up and then get some rest. Make sure to have guards out. This place doesn't feel as safe as it did during the hive attack anymore, for some reason."The Toa of Ice gazed silently over the village. A lot of the workers were quieting down already, and sun had long since vanished under the horizon. "I blame the recent, consecutive attacks. We'll have to increase security for certain. Once these new badges are handed out to our members, everyone else will have to be checked both once and twice before they are allowed in. It might slow traffic to our village, but if we are to hang on we'll need it. We've got at least three imposters so far. That shape-shifting Toa of Fire, your shape-shifting assassin, and that Toa of Stone who was absolutely not Sanctum Guard by any definition. I should not have entertained him as long as I did. When he attacked me, I realized I should have had some of the warriors here scrutinize him properly before he even got inside."OOC:Visaru, BioBeast, I might have a place for Verak and Ankt. Check out the Black Inferno in Xa-Koro. Recruitment posters can be found in the six elemental Koros and Xa-Koro, and they are recruiting on the south beach. Perfect for fighters and mercinaries.Benluke, you should have Kethrye tell Cy and Vorok about the deal with Ziraul, and Madrihk, as no one but you knows. (Also, perhaps prepare to take out Echelon in this fight, since you could turn his corpses into our weapons. Cy and Vorok could help you with that if we don't run into Rahkshi, which he would consider first priority. I doubt Echelon can resist a vaccum and increased weight.)Katuko, where are we getting lightstones? We can't just pull them out of thin air, and really need to purchase a shipment from Onu-Koro to get some.IC: Cy answered "Fine by me-My freinds and I will alternate on night guard since we can fly, and you wanted guards who could fight by sky-jumping. However, two questions-how does one officially join the ILS? My friends and I have been meaning to do it for a while now, but something else always seems to pop up. Secondly, where is that lightstone supply, so we can help?"
  23. OOC: I knew who they were searching for, OOC. But if that works for you after they find Kohra....IC:"I wouldn't advise threatening my friend. Not when he's got a whole Toa Team on his side. Who are you searching for? Perhaps Bijackal's tracking vision could help you, if you can tell us why you need to find them," Hikari answered from in front of Jilsud. The being was certainly irritated, but knowing what he was doing here might help with the investigation."And why you're searching for them in a place that was just attacked by a terrorist," Axana added, slightly off to Jilsud's right."Speaking of that attack, it looks like whoever did it jammed the gears." Takamaz turned from the ruins of the cable car station he had been examining. Bijackal turned to the ruins and surrounding area, and began scanning with his tracking vision. Most trails and traces here were those of Ta-Matoran.
  24. IC: A Skakdi turned to Jilsud and Vinathil upon their arrival at the scene of the cable car, and asked, "What are you doing here?"OOC:Since these two are mercinaries, you might want them to check out the Black Inferno in Xa-koro. Recruiting on the south beach, by me. Amaris, to, if that applies to her. Bijackal (whom just talked to you) can tell you about them because he's hunting them down, or you can find posters on the recruiting in any koro.
