  1. IC:Ziraul and Tirax started to drag several of the captured Toa back to the gates. Ziraul shouted, "Someone care to let us in?'
  2. OOC: In this case, your last post is allowable, but would be considered meta-gaming if not for the existance of the posters. You should reference reading things like that for the sake of avoiding such. IC: While Takari continued to wait in the tavern, Makkan made a landing on the beach. "Report?" asked Vilor. "Posters up in all Wahi I was assigned."
  3. IC:"Well, I'll be going, then." Miraul turned and left the sword forge to itself. He turned to another weapons shop, across the street, run by a Vortixx. He inspected the arsenal to be found within. A selection of weapons with paralyzing venom caught his eye, as did the Volo Lutu launchers. ----"Both Masks have their ups and downs. The Mask of Growth makes you a bigger target, but harder to hurt. The Kualsi gives you agility and could help us in ways the Kakama couldn't. Plus, it means Miraul doesn't have to carry you on the run anymore. Pakari and Healing would also be ones to look into." Axana answered Hikari's question about changing Kanohi."The problem I see with the Mask of Growth is that you need to remove any embedded weapons to shrink, or the damage worsens with those. Not something I want to deal with, I'll admit, even if I like the idea of being able to stomp on anyone in our way. Healing is useable, but it requires more work to learn-you could help me study medical processes with that mask of yours, though. Pakari would require a bolder fighting style on my part, but it has it's uses and requires little effort to learn. Kualsi would take a bit of work, though." Hikari replied.
  4. OOC:Time skipping by a day. Walking into the same tavern as you, Constructman.IC: Two days had passed since the posters had been put up in Xa-Koro advertising the Black Inferno. It was then that Takari returned from his trip, his duties complete. After speaking to Vilor and discovering that no one in Xa-Koro had taken an interest, he decided it was time to go and recruit the old fashioned way. Takari headed out on the streets, stopping in one of Xa-Koro's taverns. He strode in confidently, and shouted, "Hey, folks, big news! The Black Inferno is now holding open recruitment trials!"OOC:Takari very open for interaction. Benluke, if you'd be interested in Black Inferno, feel free to talk to us as well. Vilor would pay a good price for information on the League of Shades, and would be more than willing to accept a new recruit.
  5. IC:"If that's all you make, then you won't be getting my buisness, I'm afraid. Diversifying your inventory is highly recommended." Miraul turned to leave.
  6. IC:"Then who's Soli? Anyway, I'm here looking for weapons and equipment. I'm most likely just to take a look around. I deal mostly with throwing weapons, but various members of my work with different things. Some of them might like some tools to work with, I suspect." Miraul answered.OOC:Note that getting actual business from Miraul is going to be hard. He's looking more for ideas, since Divan and Axana can make things for free. You'll have to surpass their quality by a lot to justify a good price.
  7. IC: A Toa of Lightning passed through Le-Koro, putting up several of the following as he went. Now Recruiting The Black Inferno Hate Makuta? Looking for profit? Want to cause destruction? On the run from the law? The Black Inferno may be for you. Open trails will be held on the beach south of Xa-Koro. All welcome. Specially seeking Kakama wearers, Toa of Lightning with Kanohi Matatu. OOC:Takari returning to Xa-Koro, in a day or two.
  8. IC:A Toa of Lightning passed through Ga-Koro, putting up several copies of the following.
  9. IC: "The name's Miraul, Toa of Magnetism. And you are?"Elsewhere in the Koro, a Toa of Stone passed through. He put up several copies of the following poster. OOC:Makkan returning to Xa-koro in a day or two.
  10. IC: A Toa of Stone passed through Po-Koro, and put up the following notice.
  11. Hm, just to spite you we'll probably keep them all alive. Interrogation is in order, after all. The Parakuka-user will probably die by "accident" after some testing to check how removal of those slugs might work, though.Katuko, just to make sure you know, Jazz has two Parakuka users. So that's twice the chances to (figure out how to) free the Turaga. Also, the following notice is going up in all Koros except Pala. Yup, this is part of what I was alluding to the other day. Other parts are still in the works with Nuju.
  12. IC: A Toa of Lightning passed through Ko-Koro. As he did so, he left behind several posters.
  13. IC: A Toa of Stone passed through Onu-Koro. As he did so, he put up several posters.
  14. IC: Vilor looked annoyed and mad. That wasn't at all atypical, of course, but today there was a valid reason for it. He was trying to solve a perplexing problem. For the longest time, the Black Inferno had been on a closed recruitment policy. This ensured that only the best of the best worked for him. But recent recruiting efforts had been failures, and betrayals had reduced their numbers as well. Ziraul had failed his attempt to recruit an elite Kakama squad and several other Toa, and Tirax had gotten into a dispute with his brother. The only advantage this gave him was that he would not have to bend the morals of these Toa to his will, and from what Ziraul had sent word of, they happened to be very devoted to the Toa Code, especially this Miraul in paticular. At least, this gave him grounds to torture Ziraul and Tirax for some time-not that Vilor often bothered with grounds for such anyways. Perhaps worse was the recent defection of Dovorachk. One of his best marksmen, the Toa of Gravity had been useful. He would pay the price of death for his crimes. But not until he could be located. The Toa who had brought him to serve Mata Nui, Cyclonis, would pay the same price. One of his three elite had already been lost to that Toa of Gravity. However, now shorthanded on "employees", Vilor was forced to consider open trails. It might not produce anything, but Vilor's need for new criminals to expand the enterprise prompted him to consider this for the first time in a while. Eventually, he made up his mind. Open trials would be held near Xa-Koro. Summoning Takari and Makkan, he issued his orders. Several hours were spent drafting up posters. Takari and Makkan were dispatched to Xa-Koro and the rest of Koros to deliver them. They read as follows: Now Recruiting The Black Inferno Hate Makuta? Looking for profit? Want to cause destruction? On the run from the law? The Black Inferno may be for you. Open trails will be held on the beach south of Xa-Koro. All welcome. Specially seeking Kakama wearers, Toa of Lightning with Kanohi Matatu. A short trip by boat later, Vilor and Matatu arrived on the beach south of Xa-Koro. They were ready for whoever might come their way.OOC: Posters now up in Xa-Koro. Takari, Makkan, now dispatched to all koros to place posters.
  15. IC:"Hmm..." The look of puzzlement returned to Miraul's face, "I wonder what's sparking those memories." He continued to think, but decided to hold onto the names and work with his team to figure out the puzzle in a bit. "Thanks for your help. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get some supplies." He turned toward's a nearby weapons shop, and strode in the door.OOC:Hu, Stronin works in a blacksmith shop, doesn't he? If, so Miraul just entered it. I'm looking for shuriken.IC:Divan turned to the Skakdi he and Bijackal were talking with, "The Black Inferno, you say? In Xa-Koro?" The Skakdi growled, "Yeah. Now go away."
  16. IC:" Excuse me for asking, but what species are you, and do you know anyone by the names of Thykius, Akami, Dekai or something about something called an Anzaros? My apologies for bombarding you with strange questions, but you seem to have sparked some kind of memory in my limited knowledge about my past." Miraul continued, his puzzlement still continuing when he asked the questions, but disappearing from his face when he made the apology. ----Hikari turned to Axana, and said, "I've been thinking-I haven't really been well informed of the Rahi on this island, and taking the time to get to know them would be time consuming. It might be more practical to change my Kanohi to something easier to use. I'm thinking that a Mask of Growth or a Mask of Quick Travel might work well. Do you have any ideas?"----Takamaz inquired of a Guard member if any Toa of Lightning like he mentioned had caused trouble here in the past few months. The answer was that at least one had attacked the Matoran seemingly at random before making off with several valuable items and a large quantity of stolen widgets. The Guard had failed to fight him off or track him down, but believed that he might have fled to Xa-Koro.
  17. Speaking of plots, I have something in the works, though it is flexible and I soon will be looking for people to join. Check out my latest post in Ta-koro-it has a few hints.
  18. IC: Miraul turned to his team, and said,"Now that we've taken care of the crazy crossbowman, I think we ought to split up to resupply and gather information. Takamaz, Vilak check with the guard and see if they know anything about the Matatu. Divan, your calm head makes you good for checking around with the shadier locals. I'll go see about some equipment-maybe we can find something useful around here. Axana, Hikari, see if you can find us a place to eat.Meet me back here in about an hour. Divan, take your time if you need it. Those shady types work on their own timetables." ----Miraul was heading over towards an weapons shop when he noticed a gold-armored being walking around. The armor color was insignifigant, but something else was. Four arms-it made names pop into Miraul's head. Ironically, there were four of them. Thykius. Akami. Dekai. Anzaros. The last one sounds more like something other than a person's name, though.Miraul turned to the being, and said,"Excuse me, but what's your name?" The look on his face was one of puzzlement, trying to figure out what was bringing back the memories.
  19. IC: Feeling that he had enough elemental power, Ziraul unleashed a sonics blast at the Toa of Fire on the battlefeild. He smiled with the cold hatred of a criminal, letting out a malevolent laugh.
  20. IC :Tirax swung at the bladed-staff with tremendous force, using his battle axe to try and knock it away.. As he did this, a burst of impact vision shot out of his eyes, aimed for his foe's neck. The impact vision had more than enough force to break it.Ziraul's elemental recharge was continuing, and he was nearing perhaps two-thirds of full power. He supposed he would fight now. Seeing Tirax and Voriki's battle, he triggered his mask and created a illusionary cloak of darkness around the head of their enemy-Kotok. He continued absorbing any sound that touched him, making him perfectly silent.
  21. OOC:You'll probably want to edit that, since Ziraul already knocked him out with sonics. Try ganging up on whoever Tirax winds up charging- It may make things easier.IC: Ziraul's elemental energies were nearing halfway now-still not enough to comfortably fight head on. So he waited. Feeling a slight headache, he moved further away from the gate.Tirax meanwhile, took action into his own hands. He charged one of the Toa on the battlefeild.OOC:Letting Jazz pick which Toa.
  22. OOC:And come to think of it, to be clear, Ziraul and Tirax were targeting Turok, not Tuaka. Two Parakuka users make things confusing when I had only seen Turok mentioned so far. Also, Jazz, Anthros and Tuaka need weaknesses in their profiles, or they are not legal to play. Beyond that, you should really develop your characters in this group more in depth and get inside their heads. I should do the same a little with same of my supporting characters, but the plot I hope to start today will hopefully help me out there.IC:Ziraul's element was slowly recharging, and he extended the range of his silence feild. Not caring to risk fighting on low power, he he began to analyze his foes. At least two were Matoran with strange slugs on there backs. One, whom Ziraul had targeted with a shadow feild, which he continued to maintain, seemed quite strong and fast for a Matoran. Ziraul also noted that there were at least three Toa left on the feild. Beyond that, just a Skakdi and a Vortixx stood on the feild. Of course, there was also a Toa of Stone whom he had just knocked out.
  23. OOC:You missed the throwing knife Ziraul sent at the Parakuka user. IC: Tirax responded by hurling another burst of impact vision. "Shoot til you hit" was not the best tactic, but Tirax was a brawler, not a tactician. He drew his axe, moving in closer. Ziraul attempted to blind the Parakuka user with a shadow illusion.
  24. OOC: I'm still wondering how you can have Sonics, a Mahiki and Impact Vision at the same time?OOC: Repeating what I said earlier, Tirax, Ziraul's Skakdi assistant, has Impact Vision. Ziraul, a Toa of Sonics, wears a Mahiki and is currently in the form of a Vortixx. Tirax is more of a supporting character, so I don't have him do quite as much. That's probably why you didn't notice him. I'll take more effort to specifically attribute the impact vision bolts in the future.IC: Figuring his foe had blacked out by now, Ziraul strode forward and dropped the illusionary shadow cloak. Seeing this to be the case, he raised his katana, and swung, hoping to finish his foe. He did not take time to look and see if his attack had been successful, as time was of the essence on the battlefield. Knowing that he must keep his elemental power charged, he created a small silence field around himself to recharge. As he did this, he aimed a throwing knife at the Parakuka user, masking it's existence with his Kanohi Mahiki.Tirax aimed a burst of impact vision at the Parakuka user's legs, acting on his battle instincts and trying to break them. One couldn't move too well with broken legs, after all.
  25. OOC:No way for you to see the Vortixx with the illusion cloak now. Plus, you forgot the impact vision. I suggest you just take the hit from the sonics, as it's somewhat unrealistic to remain completely unaffected by such a constant attack.IC:Ziraul upped the volume even further, to the point where his foe should black out with ease. The next stone went wide, flying at the Parakuka user since there was no way to aim inside the Mahiki-powered illusion cloak.
