  1. IC:[Green Tornado (Cy), Vorok, Ko-Koro]Cy followed the Toa of Plasma leaping from rooftop to rooftop. His Mask of Flight was now on, and he followed at higher altitude. "Why on the run?" shouted Cy.Below, Vorok followed along the main streets, his Calix allowing him to keep up with Cy and the rooftop leaper.
  2. IC:As the team walked to the walls of Ta-Koro, where Miraul planned to show them some of the equipment he had bought, Vilak turned to Divan, and showed him his foot, revealing a slight hole in the armor where he had taken an iron spike in an earlier fight with a crazy crossbowmen."You mind fixing that, Divan?""No problem." Divan reached down and placed his hand on the foot. A tiny bit of metal, much stronger than usual, formed over the gap before a layer of orange metallic protodermis covered that. Divan has experimented with making a tiny bit of protosteel.-----Arriving at the wall, Miraul passed out six launchers, keeping one to himself. He spoke loud enough for all the Toa and Bijackal to hear. "Meet the Volo Lutu launcher, the latest addition to your arsenals. It functions as a grappling hook, which can pull you up a surface such as a cliff. Or, in this case a wall. Watch."Miraul spun, grabbing the Volo Lutu launcher, and pointed it at the top of the wall. He then pulled the trigger. It shot up a cable, a hook at the end taking hold of Ta-Koro's battlements. Tugging thrice to check the line's security, Miraul then pressed a button as it reeled him up to the top of wall."Your turn," he shouted to his team below him.Six grappling hooks shot up from the walls below. Miraul smiled.
  3. OOC:AuRon, sorry, but I'm tired of waiting for you. You can say that I called a member of the Sanctum Guard to deal with Velan, and Cy requested that the offer he made still stand-agree to buy the items you need and go unpunished, or get arrested. You can always fight your way out, of course.IC:[Green Tornado (Cy), Vorok]Cy turned to Vorok, the two having continued to walk through the village after calling the Guard to deal with the Toa of Water. They bought three cloaks, one which they would give to Kivar later, to protect against the cold. As they continued to wander, they spotted a Toa standing on a roof. Cy shouted, "Hey, what are you doing up there?" OOC: Good to see you back, Raz.
  4. IC: MeviMevi looked at the being next to her with something akin to disgust."We know little more than what you just witnessed," she said. "He controls shadows, obviously. Vile spawn of Makuta, that Toa. I already said I don't know his name, and if you want details I suggest you go ask him yourself."The Ta-Matoran hefted her spear and shield and began to distance herself from her conversational partner."Excuse me," she said quietly, "but we have a body to bury."IC: Noticing the disgust, "As my employers are against Makuta, intelligence on his elite servants is most pleasing to them. But I doubt I will be making any inquiry of the Toa himself. No need to risk my life. Now, on to more pleasant matters. On the ILS of this village...can you tell me about them? They are a potential ally, after all. I will assist with the burial, by the way." Ziraul commented, following Mevi. He transmitted more audio to TIrax as he did so. The Toa controls shadows, and I observed him turn the ground against his foe-perhaps his Kanohi is like the Garai, allowing him to control earth much as the Kanohi controls gravity. Report this information to Vilor at once and return here.Tirax got up and left the village.OOC: Tirax to Xa-Koro.
  5. IC:"Thank you for this useful...information. I have friends who would be-most happy to hear this. Before you inquire of my name, it is Vilorus.Yours? And what of his weapons, element, and mask? He seemed to turn shadows and the earth against his victim." The "Vortixx" before Mevi,, really Ziraul, answered. As he said this, he scanned the village with one eye, looking for Tirax. Spotting him, he manipulated the sounds around Tirax to send him a message, targeted so that only he could hear it."Prepare to report to Vilor. Inform him that we have entered Pala-Koro to look for recruits and gather information on the ILS. I am gathering more information on the murderer who simply walked right in and will send you as soon as I have it."
  6. IC:Vilak and Takamaz returned to the meeting point, at the same time as Divan and Bijackal. It was Takamaz who spoke first,"Since we were both assigned to gather information, what did you find?'"Any Toa criminal meeting that description would belong to the Black Inferno, an organization that operates out of Xa-Koro. ""We were told to check Xa-koro as well. I guess we know our destination, then.""After we resupply our widget count." Miraul interjected. He had just arrived. "Where's Axana and Hikari? I have some new equipment that might be of use. I think I should teach you all how to use it."-----Axana and Hikari had spent the better part of an hour getting something to eat and debating the merits of finding a new Kanohi. Hikari had decided to wait and keep thinking about it. They returned to the meeting point last. After Miraul explained to them what they had found, he suggested that he show them the newest weapon in the team's arsenal.
  7. IC: Ziraul turned to Mevi, and said,"Do you have any idea whom that was?" He spoke of the Toa of Shadow who had seemingly appeared from nowhere and slaughtered a Toa of Earth. As he did this, Ziraul considered that it might be time to send a report to Vilor on his recent doings with whatever other news he could muster.
  8. IC:Ziraul, seeing that the being was awake, pointed towards the hut that he had seen people taken into for medical treatment. "Over there, I persume?" This was more of a question directed at Mevi, but it was intended to help none-the-less.Tirax, meanwhile, sat in boredom within Pala-Koro.
  9. IC:Miraul continued his conversation with the Vortixx weapon vendor. With an extra payment, he was able to get a copy of the mixture for the paralyzing poison that the shuriken were covered in. Miraul noted that the team was going to run low on widgets unless they did something soon. "Time to take up the role of traveling blacksmiths and lightstone vendors, I guess."He thought to himself.Purchasing seven paralyzing shuriken, a tablet with the poision mixing instructions, and seven Volo Lutu, Miraul turned, headed for the point where the team had split.----Divan had spent the past hour or so with Bijackal, gathering information from local restaurants. He had learned some recent news, such as the destruction of the hive by the ILS, and their rescue of the Turaga, which surprised him. "Guess they can do some good after all." He though to himself. As Divan began to head back to the meeting spot, he noted a blade of unusual quality for sale among others at a nearby weapons stall. "Excuse me, but what is this made of?" he inquired of the vendor."Protosteel, something I suggest you familiarize yourself with. Perhaps the strongest metal on the island." Bijackal answered before the vendor got a chance.Divan picked up the blade and began to examine it. He closed his eyes and focused, feeling the metal with his mind rather than his hands, learning of it's structure by his elemental abilities. "Thank you." Divan told the vendor as he placed the weapon down.As Divan and Bijackal walked away, a lump of strong metal formed in Divan's hands, which began to change shape as he willed it.
  10. OOC:I think, in the future, Constructman, you should actually write out what you send in your letters. That way you write with what your characters know and it becomes much harder to meta-game etc. by accident. It can also help the develop your characters.IC: Ziraul, seeing the Ta-Matoran he had tried talking to earlier call for help, went over to aid her. Perhaps he could get some answers this way. He moved to check the heartlight of the being she was tending.
  11. IC:Ziraul, seeing the Ta-matoran he had inquired of was busy talking with others, turned to the village at large and shouted,"Would someone mind giving me a few more details on the ILS and this village?" His sonic powers boosted the volume slightly, making his voice more noticible.
  12. That aforementioned army (See Benluke's post) has been planning to attack the ILS, who took down the Rama Hive. Also, the Turaga were kidnapped, and equipped with creatures called Parakuka by Makuta. The Island Liberation Squad recovered them from the Rama Hive, has them at Pala-Koro and is seeking to remove the Parakuka (Parasites who provide the powers of Kakama, Pakari and Calix, all in one.)
  13. IC: "You have come as close to an apology as I think you might-and you are right that Makuta holds the greater blame for all the evil that is seen in the Rahi Kingdom on this island. Thank you. I will help you with the hostages. As I said, I can target anyone who causes trouble with sound." OOC: Deflecting the blame to Makuta-an excellent leader's tactic. Kivar's doubts about you will be eased by it.
  14. IC:Kivar said,"Your lack of care for the Nui-Rama concerns me. They tormented you without choice. Did they deserve to suffer for it, even if their deaths were the only way? I will help you with the hostages, none-the-less. I can take on any troublesome groups of Hapaka with my element." Cy whispered to Vorok, "Float the prisioner." Velan rose into the air. "I can let you go if you agree to leave the items you stole and go buy them from a proper store. Agreed? Any other course of action would have to be your imprisonment."
  15. I think the hiring group was the black inferno, wasn't it?Vilor's Black Inferno is hiring-if you can pass the trials. Posters went up in every Wahi-just go to my profile, click "find content" and select the filter "only posts" to see it.Remember that the Black Inferno is open to everyone-so long as you haven't befreinded one of their enemies. Come on down to Xa-koro and try out.
  16. OOC:I think the ILS is the answer to those who were once Companions and want to fight Makuta. Plus, we need more carpenters down in Pala-Koro. We even happen to be stopping in the same Wahi!IC: Kivar continued to wait with the ILS for a response, humming a beautiful tune akin to an orchestra. Even as he did so, he shivered. Adding to the tune, he sang a brief comment, "The help with the cold would be appreciated, along with an apology on behalf of the Nui-Rama."OOC:You might as well apologize for the Nui-Rama. It means you get to keep a guy with a Mask of Summoning around, which would be handy sometimes-and not so others. On a Rahi side note, we really gotta figure out that Muaka like to eat Rahkshi and capture a few. Their use would be so worth it.
  17. IC: Ziraul began to wander around the village after entering the unopened gate, followed closely by Tirax. He began to observe, familarizing himself with the village of Pala-Koro. Huts stood in mostly ordered rows, and he heard hammering coming from what he presumed to be a forge, not audible to anyone else at this distance. He also noted a two larger buildings, which he noted to inquire of.As he continued to wander the village, Ziraul came across a Ta-Matoran wearing an Akaku. "Excuse me, but what is your name? And can you inform me more on the nature of the ILS?" OOC: Katuko, that's Mevi.
  18. IC:Miraul smiled as he talked to the Vortixx."Mind if I test the paralyzing shuriken?""Go ahead."Miraul grabbed two off a shelf. The weight of the weapons seemed familiar and natural in his hands, and the throwing motion was something he seemed to recall. He zig-zagged at Kakama speed, and released the shuriken. They flew from his hands, embedding them in the wall. They found themselves an inch apart, and in deep, perhaps halfway into the brick wall. "Can I trade in a few throwing knives?"
  19. This announcement about Mark Bearers could not have come at a worse time, when I was just considering giving some upcoming chars one! Oh well...
  20. Depends on if I need more chars. I don't have time to manage more than the ones I have planned. I tend to keep them in teams so that I have enough time to manage them already. If you can pair it with my Black Inferno arc, all the better. Send me a PM with some more detail.
  21. IC:"If you want to fight Makuta, you've come to the right place. From what I know, this place is home to the Island Liberation Squad, which is known for it's efforts against him." Ziraul answered, lowing his hands.
  22. I know a little bit about the Kahn dynasty, but not to much. They had great horse archers, I think. Why?
  23. OOC:That part of the message is more relevant for Benluke, but Ziraul's form is that of Vortixx who he has named Vilorus. He appears to have speakers embedded into his hands, which help him convincingly use his sonics without giving away his identity.IC: Ziraul spun, a speaker-hand pointed at the source of the voice. His apparent alarm was faked, and very well so-in truth he had heard the being coming a long way off thanks to his element."Who are you and what is your alleigence? Excuse my suspiscion, but this village was just attacked by several beings."
  24. OOC:Construct, for your information, the Island Liberation Squad, which operates this Pala-koro, destroyed the Nui-Rama hive, though the Rahi still exist. (Remember that you will have to find this out IC.) Parakuka are slug-like Makuta-made parasites that offer their hosts Pakari-level strength, Kakama-level speed and Calix-like agility for short durations. IC:Ziraul shouted at Voriki, "Hey, you, what's your name? And can you let us in the gate?"OOC: Remember, Ziraul has shape-shifted, so recognizing him would not be easy for Voriki. Not likely with Tirax either, since he rarely played an active role in his captures.
