  1. AoD should remain in it's own topic. This topic is for the timeline, as well as miscellaneous info about the story, and general UCS information.
  2. The Ru-Beings came from the Origin Realm (Original timeline), were separated (our comic timelines), then brought back together into the central one in AoD. Then, we continue onwards till the end of AoD, and eventually a possible less-serious MAS. Around that time, alternate universes may be created if we want to make comics at that point that are separate from the main story/timeline.
  3. Allright. I'll switch around the labels, will likely show up later today.
  4. Exactly.Due to events in D3, Leraku and Soran get their powers first. The others will likely unlock theirs in AoD.Also: Prototypes is an alternate timeline. I had personally used "TNG's Comics" as the TNG/Axilus timeline, but I can swap them around in the image file if necessary.
  5. Personally, I believe that most of the Chosen had their memories somewhat removed, in that they have a slight tinge of something feeling familiar to plot-related things, but most of them did not know much when they were launched. Such obvious exceptions are Leraku and Rahsilon, though everyone will likely gain their memories back later. What this means is, that possibly in AoD, Axilus doesn't entirely know whether he's a Toa or not, but due to his similar appearance/size, most have referred to him as such and he accepts it.
  6. OFFICIAL UNITED COMIC SOCIETY TOPIC Welcome to the official topic of the United Comic Society, where we list information regarding the group in general, as well as our overall FAQ. This post in it's entirety may be edited over time. Table of Contents: 1. Members 2. Member Links 3. Timeline Info 4. FAQ 5. UCS Cameos <MORE TO COME> Members Terren Soran Toa Zyglak Leraku Axilus Reznas Felinuva Dr. Giggles Member Links Terra Nuva's Comics (Terren) Soran's Comic Emporium (Soran) Pursuit of Justice (Toa Zyglak) Dents, Dings and Disasters (Leraku) Prototypes (Axilus) Reznas' Comics (Reznas) The Feline Chronicles (Felinuva) Noobicorn Inc. (Dr. Giggles) Timeline This multiverse works much more simply than the original AOD-centric multiverse. TIMELINE SHEET To explain, everyone in the UCS exists within a specific multiverse focusing on a single converging point. The fact that their timelines converge at this point does not mean as it ends there, as it's technically infinite in both directions. Everyone also has split potions of their timelines for alternates, such as DoD, LTSL and so on. Due to the converging point amidst the timelines, there are often similarities between people's dimensions, most often seen as representations of the other timelines' members. Some have understood this timeline and are working on how to harness it for dimensional hopping, while others have already mastered it, bringing me to my next point: The Observers The observers are technically the "author" representations of members of the timelines - incredibly powerful and knowledgable beings that know quite a lot about the multiverse, and have powers in turn. They often dwell at the converging point where the timelines meet, so as to meet up with other observers, since most of the time they restrict themselves to their own timelines. Their other rules are to try to never directly interfere with a dimension/timeline to a point where the mortal beings are aware of them, although there are sometimes subtle exceptions. However, observers can have small parts in changing the course of a timeline for better or for worse, depending on the circumstance. Occasionally, observers can 'timeline hop' to other timelines in the multiverse, but in these circumstances they are prohibited from interfering with the dimension in question. Notable Observers: Vee [Leraku's Timelines] Toa Zyglak [TZ himself's Timelines] Terren [Terren/Terra Nuva's Timelines] Geo [soran's Timelines] FAQ Q: Can I join the UCS? A: No. The UCS is currently a closed society, as we believe any more members would make things too complicated. Q: Can I PGS/GS in UCS comics? A: That's up to the comic's author. This does not mean you can ask to be an official UCS PGS/GS, as that would infer everyone would have to include you in their comics. Cameos, on the other hand, can be sent to Terren, the leader, or the creator of the comic you wish to cameo in. If you send it to Terren, he will ask us all to vote, and we can all decide en masse whether or not to include you in our comics. Q: What's a cameo? A: Cameos are either somewhat like recurring GSes, or background characters. Q: Can my comics be added to the timeline? A: No. The timeline is currently for UCS members only. Q: Can I submit fanart for the UCS? A: Yes. You can feel free to send UCS art, be it banners, fancomics, or otherwise, to me, via PM. That way, I can post it in a fanart link section once we start getting some. Current UCS Cameos: Loganto Zyke
  7. Still me. I'm going to be talking out a theory for the UCS universe with Zyglak/Ro/...Whoever now. Otherwise, I'm going to be working on an AoD comic for this.
  8. Oh! I thought I had looked at this awhile ago, and someone else was up. Good to know. I'll try to get some work done on this, although I may first present my personal large summary of the UCS universe. It's going to take some time to piece together, however, as I have recently thought of an incredibly large backstory for it that, hopefully, will work.
  9. ---------- No explanation on the second panel. Even if you think you know who it is, no one - and I mean no one - say anything about it. It's for your own thoughts only. ---------- First panel - Yes, I'm revising Doppler so he's not just a red, ragey version of Miles. Actually giving him some better purpose, and plot pointing. Also, sorry I haven't updated much. Been really busy, as well as dealing with my whole computer situation. Oh well!
  10. Hmm... The second comic looks allright, albeit a bit strange. For starters, the perspective on the dead soldiers looks strange, as if they were flattened by a steamroller - Which, albeit his size, I doubt Axilus could do. Keep working on that though, you'll get better. Then there's his heated sword. It looks too small on the last panel - more like a 'heated dagger' if anything. You might want to make it fit him by resizing it.
  11. It's okay, but the characters are a bit strange - for instance the 'Enemy soldier' things being so bloodthirsty then suddenly screaming and running 'WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE' - It doesn't quite seem to fit. I'd suggest you try to figure something out with that. Then there's the 'capsule' scenes, It looks a bit strange, more like an explosion than just a fire from a crashed pod. It's a bit strange, partially due to the sparks being copypasted and the fire is darker inside of it, which messes with the eyes.
  12. Here's something to adress your concern:DoD is currently under development as I don't have access to all of my resources for D3, since my computer with all of that stuff on it unexpectedly broke.DoD is a side comic, author-based (My ideas) to differ from D3's more community-dependent ideals. PGSing/GSing will be adressed as needed for the moment.
  13. You know... I just thought of something kind of silly, since your character is using a Faxon."I was using Faxons before they were cool."...Man, that sounds kind of stupid after I say it. Anyways, nice work, and it should be interesting to see another observer character. Perhaps they'd meet up and have hot chocolate or something, maybe discuss the siliness in the dimensions they've been observing.
  14. Sorry about that. It was really late and I was tired when I did that, I'll fix it now. Cherise is Miles' closest friend on board - There's some development that'd make her reject pretty much anyone else. But hey, at least it's likely there will be another female at some point.
  15. There you go. A comic giving some character development, and introducing a few new characters. Other info: Cherise and Miles have been good friends ever since training camp, and Cherise volunteered to join his crew when he was promoted to captain. She's usually very optimistic and friendly, and is Miles' closest friend. Other info: Soran is very logical and tends to be one of the more serious members of the crew. He does have his mysterious tendencies, however... Other info: Axilos is the bulkiest member of the crew and tends to be very handy in combat situations, often being deployed as the primary combatant due to his high damage-causing capabilities, and the fact that he can take plenty of damage as well. Soran D. Skies: Soran Axilos Prius: TNG (He changed his name to Axilus now, I guess? Hm. Lots of name changes for him.) Cherise Linowe: For a friend of mine, and to actually add a female character to the cast. Might make another to add some variety to the crew.
  16. Time for a random comic to introduce two new characters - This isn't exactly what happened, or exactly what their personality archetypes are, but I decided to make it funny for the sake of humor and also to test out some special effects. For starters: Demyan was submitted by Facade. Second of all: This little robo-copy of our protagonist is named Doppler, and his personality protocals conflicted a bit, making him very erratic, sporadic, and has frequent mood swings, though he's usually pretty handy around the ship.
  17. Name, rank, affilation, preferred/primary weapons, Innate Power, helmet type (We can discuss certain things like this via PM), training, etc etc. No rank higher than Captain if you wish to be involved more frequently. Sectors still need to be planned out, so where they hail from isn't important yet.
  18. Other information: Phaseblades: Phaseblades are a form of energy weapon that have a solid conductive base that emits an energy that allows it to have varying effects depending on the user's preference. Phaseblade katanas in particular are set to heat up when swung, and emit in a particular way to cut down on air resistance, thus allowing the user to swing faster and more precisely. Helmets: Helmets are... well, helmets. Bio-being heads are not quite masks - they vary in appearance from being to being, but there are many common ones. Helmets can have different settings according to what the user wants - Master Vision in this case gives the user all forms of altered vision. Thermal vision, night vision, x-ray vision - Call it a version of Arkham's 'detective mode' if you'd like, although I've never played the games. I'd prefer that you check in first before making up a random helmet power. Also: Helmets are typically shaped like the user's head, with varying kinds of visors depending on the user's preference. Perhaps a simple horizontal visor, a visor that has eyeholes - Maybe decorative. Again, it is up to the user. The visors can be in varying colors, and amplify the eyes of the user to be seen through. Mouths are not typically seen through so far. Most helmets come equipped with special headlamps. V4H1 Overclocker: The V4H1 Overclocker is a small handblaster with special capabilities. It uses a specially modified time energy capsule to effectively reload itself instantly - or freeze it's firing for a few seconds, then release a rapid burst of all of the fired shots in that time. It has nearly infinite ammunition due to this, and as such has only one heat sink. Unfortunately, the rapid-fire cannot be abused for a long period of time as the heat sink can only absorb so much heat. A skilled user can use the Overclocker almost to a firing rate of a gatling gun. (Note: The V4H1 isn't quite done yet, the sprite is subject to change.) Innate Power: Innate powers are something that most Bio-beings have. Usually something that sets them apart form others, though some common ones are notable. Miles' is Energy - It gives him power over raw energy, allowing him to redirect and absorb it. Codename basis: Miles received his codename based on a legend that Nova had overheard. Most likely from Vee, the Interloper. This legend is about D3, thus giving him the codename Leraku. More info on Miles to be announced.
  19. Pretty much anyone can make an alternate version of their character with name and data for DoD, provided they send in a sheet in Xanis. I won't always have time to make sheets for everyone.Answering Soran's question about D3 universe i missed: In a way, I suppose. The name 'Leraku' is important in DoD, as it is a legend that Nova heard of during his lifetime - likely from Vee or another interloper who deemed him fit to visit. He was the last one around after all, so what bad could he do with a conversation? Otherwise, that's about it.I'm hoping to be able to whip up a pretty good explanation for the main character if anyone asks about him.
  20. Well, since someone finally asked, I'll explain ?.???'s real name is Vee - he's an artificial being, an interloper if you will, who does not directly effect the storyline but observes certain specific universes. He does have power to change things - not massively, but he's there to keep a small flaw from spiraling out of control, effectively destroying the specific universe. I personally see him as if he observes over the UCS dimensions. He may or may not have part in DoD. Fun fact: Vee's name is a reference to CTRL+V.Notable figures. The first one is Nova. Nova was a being (Most likely a human) who had escaped an apocalypse and sealed himself away, essentially the last living person on earth. He created a bio-organic being known as the Shepherd. Eventually, as he neared death of old age, he sacrificed himself to give life to a bio-organic race, his life's end powering the bio-organic beings. These bio-organic beings are all of the characters, including Shepherd. Nova may or may not be his real name, but it is all that anyone knows of him. Shepherd was created to, indeed, act as a 'shepherd' to this race and is currently the leader of the main populace and is the second notable character - however, he was already explained.Unnamed villain: This other notable character is the leader of the Usurper force. His name is still being developed. Usurpers will be explained if the question is asked. The main character will be explained in a seperate post with a specialized format if a question is asked about him. Factions:ImperiumUsurpersThe ImperiumThe Imperium is the main faction in DoD, being the government of the main populace and the military force. The main character works for the Imperium, similar as Ler did in D3. However, in this case, Ler joined by choice and is, in fact, not unhappy about it as in this case the Imperium is a protagonistic faction. The Shepherd is the leader of this faction. The UsurpersThe Usurpers are a rebellious group bent on taking over this universe. They are bio-beings that have broken away from the main populace and strive to break down the Imperium. They are very cruel and ruthless, and, if things really were under their control, this would be terrible for a few reasons:For starters, the leaders simply want to be in charge and deal with things as they see fit. Corrupt as they are, this essentially will create a ruthless dictatorship. The leaders also might eventually tire of things and simply go on rampage whenever they like. The Unnamed villain and his underlings are the leaders of this faction.
  21. Ignore what I said about the q/a thing, I thought up of a possible series taking place after D3, but in an alternate universe. It would have not happened in this alternate universe, but timeline-wise it'd occur after D3 ended in the main universe. It's called Dawn of Disasters - an homage to D3's true name. It's a sci-fi based series, and to keep things going, you guys can specify what you'd like to learn about it next, either in post or PM, and I will post it. For instance, here's a few example things to learn about: The main character Items Timeline Story Factions Notable figures Other character involvement It will be made in Xanis for the sake of flexibility with poses.
  22. The problem is - well, let me explain. My laptop is an IBM Thinkpad (Making it pretty... bad. Really bad.), and we had gotten two. One for my sister, one for me. My sister's hard drive ended up getting fried, so when my first laptop got the fan error(Explaining that in a bit) We just took out my hard drive and slapped it into hers. Now hers has the same error, most common in(And seems to only happen in)IBM thinkpads. The 'fan error' - When I start it up, it loads, then makes two beeping noises, says 'Fan error' in DOS print (Like a command prompt) and shuts down. The fan error is an internal fail-safe to keep itself from overheating. The failsafe activates when the fan is malfunctioning.I've been attempting to preform 'laptop surgery' to open up the fan and clean it off, but no success so far. Mostly because the first time I tried, I had to quickly re-insert the screws to take care of something else.Anyways, I do have a plan for the comic - and it might be something to look at/do while my main computer isn't working.Sort of a Q/A thing with an alternate character. Not mr. "??? pong face" since his sheet is on the laptop, but someone else.
  23. Hey.Got some bad news.My laptop's fan died, so I'm not going to be able to post comics for awhile, since all of my spritesheets were on there. However, it doesn't mean my topic needs to be closed, as I will still be trying to keep up with you guys comic-wise. It will likely take ages, but I might be able to scrounge back up some sheets.
  24. His close-ups have been made with RZ as well. Just heavily applied effects.
  25. Leraku is not exactly seperate personalities - those are simply embodiments of his 'red' and 'blue' sides - Chaos and Logic respectively. I believe I mentioned it before, but, oh well. I'll add the full to their names. For instance, Chaos is - well, an embodiment of destructive chaos. Logic is very calm, collected, and, indeed, logical. Leraku himself chooses which to use more depending on the situation - by default, he is neutral in between. As he is technically sealed away and in stasis at this point, his personality is not in the 'argument' going on, so his two other sides are there instead. When he awakens, he might have a burst of each, but he will soon come back to himself.
