  1. IC: (Blake Raynkin) "Oh, those? It was this morning. I came into the area a few days ago and I've been staying at a tavern motel type place. I have to go through the suburbs to get to the outer part of the city."
  2. IC: (Blake Raynkin) Which ones? the ones out west, or up in the east around D.C?" Blake asked.
  3. IC: (Blake Raynkin) "I have no idea who that even is. Didn't bother to keep up with politics of the wastes." Blake answered.
  4. IC: (Blake Raynkin) Blake followed the Lt. "So, what just might this job, and the pay, be?" Blake asked as he stepped outside. A good merc asked what his pay and job was first, then took the job, and Blake was a very good merc.
  5. IC: (Sanglunar Infiltrator-class outside of inhabited world) The captain set the scanners to look for a spot big enough to set down on the planet. Finding a clear spot, the ship began to descend, going through the reentry heat. After a bumpy ride, the corvette landed, and the science teams unloaded, followed by the on-board diplomat and the two marines the captain had selected.
  6. IC: (Blake Raynkin) "alright then." Blake said as he walked up to the indicated tent. The guard at the tent stopped him. "I'm here to see the colonel. The guys at the front radioed ahead." Blake said, being calm. No need to tick these guys off when i'm in the middle of their camp. "The colonel will see you." The guard said as he let Blake through.
  7. IC: (Carli) The fighting didn't stop. they just kept coming. feeling like she was being overwhelmed, Carli started to fall back, looking for anyone that wasn't Hydra. Turning a corner, she saw Vincent. Finally, a friendly face. Running up to him, she stopped just out of his swing range. seeing this place being swarmed, Carli opened fire, having swapped to a .44 revolver sometime ago. "Back to back?" she said. it would give them a bit more time.
  8. IC: (Lone) Hearing the gun cocking, Lone turned, SMG raised to where a normal person's head should be. OCC: as i don't know if it's the Coronle or not, I leave it to you Adders
  9. IC: (Blake Raynkin) "Name's Blake Raynkin. came over to see if you could use a merc, and looks like i guessed right. I take it you'll be leading the way?" Blake said. He wasn't intimidated by the Heavies. They were slow, and even with two of them to make it a hay day ao bullets, Blake had learned how to run.very, very fast.
  10. (Blake Raynkin) Walking up to sun light and a slight breeze, Blake was up and out of the small motel he stayed in before most anyone else could get up. Heading out into the wastes, Blake went looking. Looking for what, he didn't know. Fate seemed to just throw him into some things. Checking his weapons as he crossed the praises and seeing they were fine, Blake looked up, only to see the NCR army's flag sticking out over the horizion. Well then, let's see if I can strike up a deal. Might want to be a bit stealthy about this. Moving to his left, Blake found a good out croping of rocks, and moved form cover to cover. Once he neared the perimeter of the NCR camp, Blake walked out form be hind cover his hands on his head, hoping he looked like he wasn't wanting to shot the place up.
  11. IC: (Carli: Hecate) With the Carrier going down, Carli did the most viable thing in her mind. Spawn a jump jet and go over the side. With the order to evacuate the Carrier given, it was time to leave. getting top side, she saw a skyscraper coming close as the ship fell. Getting a running start, she jumped of at an angle opposite of the building the Carrier was about to smash into. Jumping off of a falling Helicarrier was not easy, and she had to time the thrust of her jump jet or she'd hit the ground pretty hard. Luck and some skill played in her favor, as she hit just right, hitting the ground running and despawning the pack. Summoning her armor and weapons, Carli looked around for another SHEILD members. or friendlies for that matter.
  12. Ok. That helps me enough to at least figure out how to get a few characters into the fray. EDIT: one last thing, whats going on at the mansion? and the brotherhood PCs?

  16. Up for approval Username: thelonewander Name: Blake Raynkin Appearance: Blake stands at around 5'7”, and looks slim. Is well muscled, they are just small. Has chestnut brown hair, with a navy blue streak in it caused by some low level radiation exposure. His eyes are a deep navy blue, just about the same color as the streak in his hair. He doesn't know what caused it, but he thinks its due to radiation. His armor is a dark color, somewhere between gray and black. Affiliation: Is not affiliated with any group, unless they have paid for his services Age: 25 Specialization: Blake is a professional mercenary, doing what ever job pays the best. Blake is also very well versed in weapons, how to use them, how to fix them, keep them working, and at least 30 different ways to kill you with a rock, and then hide the body in a few creative ways. Equipment: wears reinforced lightweight leather armor, and a medium sized gear bag. Weapon wise, carries a 10mm pistol, a .44 magnum revolver, a combat shotgun, and an assault rifle. He also has at least 5-7 clips worth of ammo for each gun,and it's all kept withing easy reach for him. Bio: Blake grew up in the East, out in the Capital Wasteland. There, he comes from a long line of mercenaries. With a family history that went back to the time when the Lone Wanderer was still kicking, Blake had to carve a name out for himself in the Capital. Joining a small merc group that guarded water caravans from the Jefferson memorial, it was dull job. By this point, most people left the caravans alone, but the occasional crazy did try to attack. They were put down quite quickly. After half a year, Blake went with a group out west, to the shining city of New Vegas. There, he fell in working as yet again a caravan guard. This time thought, it was protecting Gun Runner supply shipments. This proved to be a lot more exciting, and Blake stuck with them for a few years. As time passed, he took one last trip, collected his caps at the other end, and then headed down south to Austin. Seeing as how things were getting tense between the NCR and the Texas Union, a Mercenary like Blake could make a good bit of money out there, and the possibility of whatever loot he could fine exploring the area around the main town. So, setting off, Blake was only arrived recently, having spent only a day or two in Austin.
  17. IC: (Vilote, on Omega) The news of Humanity declaring war on the Council was all over the news. The time for war was here, and all would be dragged into this. Leaving the bar, Vilote made his way back to the Arkile. It was time he went to the Unity. Hopefully he could run across a few others there.
  18. IC: (Sangluni Infiltrator ship, middle of System 12) After moving closer, the scanners showed the planets in the systems. The captain was stunned. Their had system had lucked out compared to here. Moving closer to the terrestrial world, the scans picked up signs of activity that wasn't normal. Seeing these signs of possibly other intelligent life was, to the captain, almost terrifying, yet he felt calm. This was the shining moment of the Sangluni. First contact. Patching through to the barracks where the marines where at, he called up the two he trusted most. “Thell and Jul Vadme report to the armory. Order will be give there.” Cutting the comm over to the science team, he told them to suit up and get ready for some field work. It was time to see what other life their was out in the cosmos. May Lunar look over us all
  19. IC: (Sangluni Scout ship, outer edge of system 12) The Hyper-drive worked. It was miracle of science to the most of the crew, with the engineers being the only ones not surprised it worked. Having arrived at the system's edge, they startred up the scanners, trying to see what was around. They a few objects big enough to be planets but not what kind until they got closer.
  20. IC: (System 16, just outside of Sanglunar orbit) They had done it. they had finally done it. After almost 3 years, the first manned ship with FTL abilities had finally broken orbit. The crew were quite. let the people back home celebrate. They had work to do, which was to visit the closet system to them, which was system 12 The crew was composed of only a handful of people. the needed officers, pilots, and engineers, along with a small squad of soldiers, and two diplomats. The on board AI gave notice that they would take about three hours to reach a spot safe enough to use the Hyper-drive. -3 hours later- "Sir, we are in position to activate the hyper drive. It will take us approximately 4 hours to reach the next system. Do you want to activate the drive now? " the AI asked, ready to activate the drive. "Yes, give the crew a a mintue to find their seats." The captain said. Pressing the button for the intercom, the captain cleared his throat, and spoke clearly and quickly. "Crew, time to find your seats. we will jump in a few seconds." He cut the link. A few seconds after everyone was seated, they jumped, heading for system 12.
  21. OCC: User-name: thelonewander Species Name: Sangluni Biology: The Sangluni are bipedal creatures, standing at around 6 feet tall. Evolution was at work here, as the Sangluni over time grew fur to survive the slightly colder climate of Sanlunar. Their legs are oddly designed, as the thigh goes out, then the calf bends back on a joint, and then another segment is what connects the ankle to the rest of the leg. The head is also most odd. The mouth is split into four mandibles, giving them a wider range of sound. The bottom two can lock together, letting Sangluni use the normal type mouth. They also sport a set of short claws on each hand, and move much faster. They also have fur. There is anywhere from pitch black to pure white for fur colors. They will also have spots of some sort depending on where they grew up in. Their hearing is also heightened by a good degree, being on par with most wolves/canines. Their life spans are about the same as a human, and are built on the same DNA/chemical make-up as humans. Government: The Sangluni use something akin to a democratic theocracy. The democratic part works basically like how America's does. The catch is that the priest from each of the divine beings the Sangluni believe in have huge sway with the government. This system has been in place for over 3 centuries, and is unlikely to change short of an uprising. Psychology: The Sangluni believe in two ways of thought. The first is that of the blade, and those that follow Zoltan, their god of war, fighting, vengeance, and violence in general. They believe that must fight for what they want if someone else has it, and to take it into their own hands should someone wrong them. Those under the fellowship of Talven, the goddess of peace, diplomacy, and things of that nature, are much more calm, and less likely to rip your throat out. Talven's followers are the diplomats and traders of the race. They also play a much more supportive role in combat situations then those under Zoltan. Of course they all believe in Lunar, their god of above all gods. Lunar is said to be the father of both Zoltan and Talven, so Lunar is mostly referred to as the Alpha, as he is the leader, and highest of high beings. Lunar himself has no priests, for he doesn't need them, at least that is what most will tell you. One last detail. All Sangluni hold honor up very high. To lose one's honor is a good enough reason to kill yourself. Dis-honorable acts would be things like war crimes, and putting your own survival before your crew or squad. Doctors till about three hundred years ago were considered dis-honorable men, as they took your blood, which was what most back then considered their honor. Now, most only become doctors if they can't serve in the military, or they become politicians and diplomats. History: The history of the Sangluni is long, and very drawn out. So this will be the crash course version of it. The Sangluni started out as nomadic tribes, wandering all over the snow cover lands of Sanglunar. As time passed, the tribes interacted, came together, sometimes peacefully, sometimes with extra amounts of blood and guts. During this time, the ones who became warriors were given much respect, and it even played over into the more modern times to follow. About a hundred years, and wandering tribes are no longer existent. They had all formed villages, and a few large towns. This was the time known as the age of growth, as industry and services both increased, so to did education. Of course, as things of that nature grow, so do weapons, and military tech. With expanding military, cities were getting afraid of each other. Countries were formed by alliances made with neighbors. Now fast forward about 25 years, and things really get interesting in the southern countries. One country, Genshia, had been developing nuclear weapons. They went to war with a neighboring country, and dropped the first atomic bomb. This sent shock-waves throughout the planet, in the political sense, as the devastation was seen by all. This lead to a ban on use of any and all nuclear ordinance on the home-world. To pay for their crimes, Genshia as a whole country, nuked it's self, just before the treaty could be signed by all. Now, fast forward to about three centuries ago, and the rise of a unified world is seen. Deciding on a government took ages, and when one was pick for good, it stayed, as it was able to appeal to both the monks and priest of the religious temples, and the politicians who wanted to have a government and not a bunch of raving priests. Now, fast forward one more time to the modern day, and the Sangluni are now launching themselves beyond the home system, to explore what ever may be out there. Homeworld Name: Sanglunar. 22. I'll be there soon enough, just need to finish a few things up
  23. (Vilote) With the wreak thoroughly looted, Vilote head back to his own ship. Attaching tow cables to the wreak, he brought it back to Omega. He knew a few guys who would buy the the thing for a good bit of money. Lets see, a new cannon to add on at a later time, some Paladins, which are always nice to have, and a soon to be nice sum of credits. All in all, a nice day of work for this Quarian. I say a trip to Afterlife is in order. After stopping off at the trader, and picking up 10,000 credits, Vilote was making his way to Afterlife. He could use a drink, and maybe pick up some crewmates for the Arkile. Walking in, Vilote went up to the bar, and ordered a drink.
  24. I works now, but i had to sing up for a google account to see them, and that mess up a few things for me, mainly my account on that video site we all know
