I never thought I'd actually like a movie design, but you've made me do it.

I always liked Carapar because he seemed the least bestial. I like my Bionicles more robotic than organic.

These are gorgeous and simple. Please make more.

As much as I may dislike LEGO, I applaud this initiative. More toy companies should look into environmentally friendly (or friendlier) alternatives to their petroleum-based products.

Iron Giant didn't make it? Shame. That would have been my first LEGO Ideas set.

The ones in the rain actually look really good, very intense and reminiscent of the Inika promotional material.

Happy anniversary, BZPower! For all my grievances and complaints and inactivity... I still hope that we will see many more anniversaries in the years to come.

Looks great, very accurate to the in-game model, though it's a shame people still play Destiny with all its flaws and shady business practices.

I think part of the issue is LEGO's refusal to release sales figures; we don't know exactly how poorly it did to conclude whether the brand name BIONICLE is necessary.

Yeah, they'd never dive into a brand new system incompatible with other LEGO bricks. Oh wait, that was what Bionicle was.

I find it frankly quite impressive that you are criticizing LEGO for G2's flaws on BZPower and not being descended upon by flocks of apologists. Yeah, you folks have generally hit it on the nose. G2 just missed out on some huge things that made G1 big, like major marketing campaigns, collectibles, a strong story, etc.

When/what was this "downfall" you speak of?

I'm back after being mostly and totally inactive for over a year and half a year, respectively. The Legend Continues brought me back.

Most of those look like scanned pen-and-paper, but what did you color them with?

I knew I wasn't gonna make it to the finals, but it still hurts. This is really only a contest between 1, 3, 5, and 8. I guess I'll try to reason things out. I'll never vote for the more streamlined organic Bionicles, so Demi's straight out of the question. 5 is beautiful and I love the concept, but the actual execution just does not match up to the skillful detail of 1 and 8. Here I am really torn. I think 8 shows the greatest artistic ability, but it's also incredibly derivative and generic. It's just a Witcher/LoTR-ified Ekimu and Mata Nui. 1 was much truer to the contest, in my opinion, showing the artist's lovely take on the Toa Inika and Piraka. I think it comes down to the following. I would vote for Number 1, but nobody in the comments has supported 1 - at the same time, in order to deny Number 3, it would make more sense to swing my vote to Number 8, as it already has a solid following. Actually, that feels petty, so I'm going to follow my heart. Number 1, baby. Side note: This has been by far the most productive and engaging contest BZP has put on to date.

I voted for Number 1. While I don't think it's the most complex, the most well-designed, the most interesting of the MOCs, or even the best in any way, I think it embodies the sort of down-to-Earth, unique creativity of Bionicle's early years. Where all the other MOCs are these massive, intricate monstrosities, Number 1 honestly tries to emulate a simpler time, and I like it.

Crunchbite, I remember seeing some of your first sketches you posted here... now this. Your skills have improved and I think your style here is very reminiscent of a lot of the G2 character concept art.

This is absolutely incredible. The amount of detail in the image is simply astounding. My new favorite to win this contest.
