Is the general consensus that aside from Umarak and Onua, the 2016 sets are generally worse than their 2015 sets until you add their respective Creatures?

Since the prices in the US stayed the same, and the GB prices are now closer to straight conversions of the US prices, I imagine it has more to do with LEGO just trying to smooth out some of their international pricing discrepancies than anything that changed about the set designs themselves. Nah, things are generally more expensive in the U.K., so British consumers are (comparatively) more willing to pay more than their U.S. counterparts. It's all about price discrimination; a profit-maximizing firm will maximize profit separately in each market.

I'm sure Bionicle's stellar animations clearly lead LEGO to the top.

Is G2 Kopaka 2016 (from the Kopaka and Melum Unity set) supposed to be a $15 or $20 type of figure?

I only had one Glatorian as a kid - Malum. Now, I'm trying to hunt them down - I've added Skrall, Strakk, and Vorox. I adore them. They are arguably the best, most advanced, evolved use of the Inika/Piraka build that Bionicle has ever seen. They went back to classic colors, had unique weapons and armor, and even custom builds (Strakk and Skrall had custom torsos, Vorox has a tail). It was Bionicle's final years, so the designers had all the previous years of experience to make the some of the best canister sets we'd ever seen. TL;DR. They're simply some of the most unique and best Inika-build sets in Bionicle.

Nothing at my local B&N either. EDIT: December 26th. My local TRU had all the canister sets except Lewa. TRU also had all creatures except Earth and Water. Came home with Umarak and Onua.

When I was at MoA's Lego store during the summer, an employee flat out told me that they don't get new sets until they're supposed to - and it was just a couple days before the summer wave hit stores, so he wasn't lying.

What sets do you think are overrated? Those sets that everyone loved, but you never really caught on to the hype for? Why?

I love the EV9, but I feel like the 2-1B doesn't look very much like a 2-1B. Granted, part of that might be a result of the imperfections of available LEGO pieces.

To be honest, I think the Mask of Creation has more pizazz.

It's an arm-cloth? An oversized armband?

Is this a joke? My own headcanons: Korgot is a dude. He's black, not blue. Protector of Water is a girl. She is blue. Great Spirit Robot is still around somewhere. The little Fire villager is Takua. Romance exists. There's an actual in-depth story/plot/fleshed-out lore somewhere. Skull spiders are some kind of joke. Like, they're just spiders. I just can't imagine them being a serious threat, even in huge numbers. So this is G1 again in CCBS is basically your headcanon. Yes.

To everyone saying they'd like to live in the jungle, you do realize that pretty much everything in the jungle can kill you?

I just think that the original Bionicle masks were so unique and iconic that anything that followed would be a little disappointing.

I feel like you should at least comment on the exorbitant prices of the new sets.

Most games have enough cut content to fill another whole game or two. Also, this is super cool stuff. How precisely did you find it?

Any actual physicists or physics majors (chemists too?) around to weigh in on this?

I'm so grateful for this post. It really reflects some of my own views on the flaws of G2, but in a very comprehensible and non-confrontational manner.

I want to love these, but LEGO seems keen on doing everything to stop that...
