  1. IC: Anguish - Wailing Cliffs. The cultist howled in pain as he fell backwards, clutching at the mangled stump of his foot. "Kill it!" he snarled, calling on his powers and sending blades of shadow flying at the Baterra from every direction. IC: Hive - Containment Centre. "Most definitely not a servant of Tuoni," he mused, wondering how the Toa intended to hit him with that hammer when he was still a half-dozen bio away - well out of her range. "You have made a grave mistake, Toa." I have a hard time believing that Anguish would be able to manage such a complex elemental feat when his foot just got blown off.
  2. Um.... if Selox is firing his force blaster at something almost point-blank range, he's not going to be able to just get up, since he'd get caught up in the blast as well. And while Anguish could potentially lose a foot from this, Selox is probably going to take a lot more damage, since he's smaller, and more of his body is closer to the blast. Gotcha. Editing.
  3. Name: Therex Species: Modified Glatorian Faction: Prisoner. Power/Weapon 1: Due to mega-extensive training (And maybe some GB implants/genetic manipulation) Therex has the abilities of the Kanohi Calix Power/Weapon 2: His armor contains advanced metamaterials that dampen kinetic energy. This mainly protects him from his own shockwaves, but it will also greatly dampen punches, kicks, etc. It does not protect him from sharp objects any more then regular armor would. Power/Weapon 3: Implants by the Great Beings allow him to emit high-power shockwaves from his hands and feet. His special armor prevents him from being significantly harmed by these. He can change the power level at will. Appearance: Therex is a Water Glatorian who is basically at absolute peak for the species. He is tall, but not big. His helmet looks like this Bio: On an alt SM, the Shattering never happened. A faction of Great Beings stopped the EP from going boom.... But then tried to take over the planet on the basis that they saved it. They got about halfway, before the remaining GBs banded together with teh remaining Agori and Glatorian, creating a rival empire. A war started. Therex was created as a symbol of hope. He fought for a long time, until he was critically injured in battle and placed in cyrogenic stasis until a way to fix his injury could be found. When he awoke, the GBs having developed Protodermis and by extension Makuta and by extension Quick Healing Rahkshi, the world around him had changed. One of the principle changes was interdimensional TV. He was sent as an ambassador to another dimension, but was abducted by the cultists in transit. Personality/Other: Therex is male, and has strong morals. He is an experienced leader and brilliant tactician
  4. IC: Anguish - Wailing Cliffs. His tendril wasn't a mere whip - it was a part of his arm, under his complete control. He twisted it away from the buzzsaw, the whirling blades ripping the tips off some of the bony spikes but failing to damage the flesh and muscle beneath, and then sent it curling around - attempting to entangle the baterra's arm. As he did, he stepped forwards, clawed foot raised, and stomped down at the baterra as it slid across the ground towards him. His superior size and strength, combined with the creature's slim chance of avoiding the stomp, meant he was almost guaranteed to do some serious damage. IC: Falcon - Knowledge Sector. "Nothing," I sighed, turning towards the stranger. "Two weeks, and still nothing." IC: Scriva - Muaka's Den. "What the...." she frowned, trying to figure why a rahi would be in a prison. IC: Dayeth - City of Fear. While her awareness of her surroundings was all but nonexistent thanks to whatever the unknown Fear being was doing to her, she was very aware of the searing ball of liquid heat that came flashing out of nowhere, slicing across her shoulder. She cried out, and fell to the ground, reaching up with her other hand to blast her shoulder with Dark Fire, cooling the lava and preventing it from burning her further. She was beginning to regret coming here.... IC Selox: Selox's buzzsaw arm shapeshifted into a sharp blade, which should cut the arm. At the same time, he blasted an explosive blast, high power, at Anquish's foot. The shockwave should have done some damage, and it blasted Selox away at high speed. He shapeshifted into the ball from from earlier, but was too late. He was sent flying, smashing into a stone as his legs unshifted, the mechanism damaged. Getting shakily to his feet, his mechanical voice crackled, "U-unit d-damaged. R-r-retreating." Selox attempted to run away, though not at full speed due to damage.
  5. IC Velix: Velix continued to draw closer to Xara and Virse.
  6. IC Velix: AS he bounded from rock to rock, Velix paused for a moment to catch his breath. His EE was running low, so he needed to replenish it. Then he became aware of voices, behind him to the right, some distance away. Running behind a boulder, he peeked. Dang. Too far away to see. And so he began to approach, taking cover wherever he could find it. IC Lefia: Lefia continued to travel through the City of Fear, this time slinking in the shadows to improve her Occlusion's effect. \ OOC: Selox post coming soon; Sorry for delay. IC Selox: Selox did a baseball slide, attempting to slash the tendril arm's tip off. Even if he could not completely cut through it, that buzzsaw would leave a nasty cut.
  7. IC Selox: Selox returned to normal form just in time to dodge. HIs armor was cracked in several places, and he charged at Anguish, firing volleys of explosive shots while revving up his buzzsaw. IC Velix: Velix took a running jump, manipulating his speed as he did so to land on a higher point on the Spine. He continued to trot, a disk in his launcher.
  8. Does this mean he's repeating the trick from earlier and firing a blast, or is he just shooting a blast?
  9. IC Selox: Selox quickly assumed a small, tough shape. He still recieved damage, but it was nowhere near as severe as it could have been.
  10. IC Selox: Selox's energy gun retracted, and turning his left arm into a sturdy shield structure, Selox deflected the blast.
  11. IC Selox: Selox stopped. His gun stopped charging, the baseline Baterra programming recognizing the lack of weapons. Then Selox's conciousness overrode the defualt programming. The skill with which the other had dodged suggested a combatant, and Selox had no data on this person: Must be a cultist. Selox opened fire again, in a pattern that would make dodging nigh-impossible.
  12. IC Selox: Suddenly, Selox burst from seemingly nowhere nearby Anguish, letting off several explosive shots.
  13. IC Lefia: AS she walked, Lefia felt her mental shielding fade away. Concerned, she paused until she felt another familiar power seep into her consciousness in its place. She grinned. Activating her power of Occlusion, she became obscure, and incredibly hard to notice.
  14. Velix's change is Approved, he can find those skates somewhere in the facility post-crash (They ended up there and were waiting for him after War Games, for example, but...well, yeah.) Lefia's change is not approved, as it makes it sound like she is nearly impossible to hit during a fight. Clarification on the extent of how much it makes fighting her difficult would be good - I know it wouldn't be on the same level as if she wasn't fighting someone, but the "much harder to see and respond quickly" makes me wary of approving it. @Velix: Okay. Thanks! @Lefia: I think I'll just remove that part altogether. The idea was that it would be harder for the opponent to focus on her. But as I learned with the Charisma power, saying 'harder to do etc' is unspecific and a bad idea in general. To sum up, I'll just say that when a being focuses on her, the Occlusion stops working until they stop focusing.
  15. She's not just sliding down the path in plain view. She's wary of Cultists and trying to remain unseen. Just let me get up a post, and you'll see what I mean. Ah. In that case he definitely wouldn't notice her.
  16. Virse is currently on her way out, but she would be near to the Muaka's Den, deep into the Spine. She's currently in her sand form, so it's doubtful Velix would notice her until she shifts near the facility. Velix would probably notice moving sand, considering mountains don't have much sand. Dayeth is the only one that will be effected by this "breath". Someone else might notice the Matoran, but what Dayeth is experiencing is just for her. For now. I meant the conversation and such. Also, not trying to be annoying, but did you see my above post about teh charecter changes I submitted before the war games but never got approved? Profile approvals are handled by Blade, Xaeraz, and Ehks for the duration of Landfall. Oh. Sorry.
  17. Dayeth is the only one that will be effected by this "breath". Someone else might notice the Matoran, but what Dayeth is experiencing is just for her. For now. 18. Where on teh Spine are Virse and the Puppetmaster? Are they far in or closer to teh facility? I want to know if Velix might concievably encounter them. Likewise, would Lefia be able to hear what's going on with Dayeth and the Matoran?
  19. IC Feraz: Feraz sighed. Dismissing FIDAT's screen with a wave of his hand and unplugging the USB, he walked off toward teh Host's office.
  20. IC Selox: There. Possible combatant. Selox watched the large being.
  21. Changes for Lefia and Velix. If approved, Velix's changes will take effect after the War Games. Lefia's will take effect immediately. I kinda need these changes looked at before too long. These got buried a long time ago. Would it be possible to somehow retcon them in, or have Velix find the skates in a forgotten package or something? I really want to use the changes, but don't see how to do that what with Landfall
  22. IC Selox: In desperation, nihilism, and the complete and total refusal to risk assimilation into the Cult, Selox had reverted to his defualt Baterra programming: Destroy all that have weapons. Melting into the shape of a headstone, he waited, his sapience protocols only active below the surface of his normal programming. IC Velix: Velix had become a scout over the last two weeks, walking around and looking for resources and the like. Favoring the Spine, as his elemental abilities were a large asset there, he was currently wandering, every now and then carving a marker into the stone. IC Feraz: Feraz, also, had been keeping busy. His extensive knowledge of computer systems and hardware had led him to help out in Engineering, attempting to get the computers used by teh Facility functional again. At teh moment he had plugged FIDAT into one of the Knowledge Sector's computers, and was typing madly on FIDAT's holographic keyboard as he began restoring corrupted files. IC Lefia: Lefia knew several things: FIrst of all, she was no good at scouting and the like, and second of all, she wanted to get home. Third of all, she knew there were a lot of people around, and if she was good at anything, it was getting what she wanted from people. SHe walked off toward the CIty of Fear, feeling that she was more likely to find people she could bribe/manipulate/steal from there. OOC: All open for interaction.
  23. As far as I know, the axe's power is active for the duration of the swing. But the force he used to catch it was absorbed and redirected. You realise Tarakava doesn't suck the energy out of what it hits, right? It equals the resistance it faces, it doesn't absorb it. And the resistance faced from Grim catching it wouldn't have been too great since Mar'jik was just flailing at the edge of unconsciousness, so wouldn't have added too much to the swing Higher. Level seven kraata are more powerful than level six, and Makuta are on par with them at the very least (I had the impression that it did, actually. But if apparently it doesn't, okay. I'm fine with that.)
