  1. Does Jaller really count toward this total as being revived by the RS? Sure, he passed on, but he technically wasn't inside the MU. He was on Mata Nui, which is outside the MU... ...Anyone with me on this?
  2. Well, as far as I know about the Biotube that was, I believe that it won't happen again. I've seen a lot of groups come and go on there. Currently, the main groups are TTV, The Cliffhorse Crew, and Bionicle Comedy Central. I can see all three of these group channels going places. I'm also on YouTube (shameless plug). If you want to check out my stuff, see my signature (shameless plug).
  3. So, a Tahu mask design video just went up.
  4. Very nice job on all of these. I really like the double sided coin, and the stylized Kakama coin really suits you.
  5. Gali and Kopaka Tuyet and Nidhiki Hewkii and Macku
  6. Nidhiki is my favorite. I always find it interesting when a character who is supposed to play the part of a hero ends up being a villain.
  7. I think they look great! You got the character designs down, which is all that really matters (at least to me) in the end. I'm also not the type who likes a lot of needless detail, even though sometimes I don't mind detail, either. I wouldn't say the designs are too simple; you pretty much nailed it.
  8. I like the gold on Onua. As I understand it the gold seems to be an acquired taste, as some people have gone and replaced the gold with silver. I like the gold because it doesn't stand out so much on him after a while. It even brings out the gold on his gold mask once you put it on, which looks great imo. He also has gold on his chest stickers, but I guess some people missed out on that because they don't like stickers. The gold ties together with the decoration on the chest without making the figure look cluttered. Tahu is, color-wise, very well balanced. Red and gold always seem to go together, and the trans orange completes the package. I'm not even mad that his hands and feet are silver; the silver breaks up the monotony of the color scheme. As for Kopaka, I LOVE his color scheme. Gold has always paired well with white, and Kopaka does the color pairing justice. His muscular shape makes him embody the strength of ice, but his thin shape in the middle torso sort of shows the "thin ice" (Get it? I'm so funny... )
  9. I'm going to have to mildly disagree here. G2 is mystical with a lot of unanswered questions, like "What happened to the Ancient City? What is the origin of the Skull Spiders? Is Makuta awake? Is the MoUP alive?" etc. Plus also mystical prophecies and destiny and all that. If any thing, it's almost MORE mystical than G1 at its beginning. But I'd say it's comparable. What G2 is missing is the latter thing - the action and adventure. The journey to the Golden Masks is glossed over. Tahu busts the Skull Spiders in one Fire blast, and the LoSS is defeated quite easily with the whole team. The pacing takes away from action, adventure, and suspense. Exactly. There are still several questions that can be found if you look for them. Such as who made the Mask Makers' masks? Or who made the pedestals for the masks? What's up with that "Mask Graveyard"? Or the "Arena" in the Ancient City? Hopefully we find out in due time, but at least I am intrigued enough to follow the story for answers.
  10. I think that was Smitty or Prowl (could be wrong, though, so don't quote me on that. ). On the other hand, Fordian, why not convince your sister to make an account? Unless she's just really young, in which case, you most likely can post it so long as you say that it was your sister's work. My sister is two years older than me, actually. I was thinking of just posting it and giving her credit for making it, while I gave the initial idea. I just want to get an opinion from the staff before proceeding, as previously mentioned as well as why I made this topic in the first place.
  11. I have a picture of something Bionicle related that I would like to post in the General Art forum, but I did not make it; my sister made it with minor input from me. I would still like to show it, but am I allowed to do so using my account if my sister was the creator of the item featured in the picture?
  12. Work begins on Bionicle: The Vlog Series Episode 8 very soon.

Sorry, my computer hasn't been doing Youtube lately.

      What happened?

  13. Yesterday I started on a parody of the Nostalgia Critic focusing on "Bionicle: The Legend Reborn". I'm about a third of the way through the movie, and I've been writing the script as I go along watching the movie. Man, there are a TON of things wrong with this movie now that I've been watching it after so long. Don't get me wrong, I admire the film's effort, and I know a lot of people like the movie, but I'm the critic, so I have to find the nitty gritty in the film.
  14. I was just thinking the same thing. Weird...Are you reading my mind? I was thinking of making Ekimu one notch taller than he is, standing to the relative height of PoJ, PoW, or PoS.
  15. Also, who's that "Windrider" he was talking about? A mod? Sorry, the only mod I know by name is Makaru. Windrider? She's retired staff, so not actually a mod or admin. You can check out her profile here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/user/5071-windrider/ Now I remember her. She's the one who typed those topics for helping out people on this site. She's also the one who gets real on others' topics. I mean, it scares me sometimes, especially when on a topic that I have made. But I digress. I appreciate what this reboot has to offer, which is something that people seem to be forgetting when trying to link the past and present together in some convoluted head canon. The reason I like the reboot so much is because it offers the chance to tell new stories with a fresh starting point while still using the characters of old (or at least head canons deem them to be "old"). I am curious to experience these new stories and what they have to offer.
  16. Before I download this, I'd like to know whether or not this works on Mac OS.
  17. I'm a big fan of the music from MNOG, especially the music that plays in Le-Wahi. The Le-Koro Band victory theme song is the best confidence boosting song I've listened to in a while.
  18. Nice job on getting featured on the BZP front page! The work you're doing here is excellent!
  19. Steady arms, as in without floppy shoulders that allow him to dance. Zaktan
  20. It's actually at the very end of episode 6, when Kopaka's skiing downhill. -snip- I always thought that was a "WHOOSH" more than a "WEEEE", like a fast and loud car passing by.
  21. I should be starting on the filming process for the next episode in my series pretty soon. Click on my sig to find out more and help me out if you can!
  22. Moderators, please have mercy on my profile. Allow me to start off by asking a question: How much detail does a character need in order to define who they are? It’s been a debate for a while now in the Bionicle community that detailing in sets is of some sort of importance. I’d like to go in depth of how I feel about this debate, and hopefully gain some understanding. I’m not asking you to change your mind about something; I’m not trying to be persuasive in any way: I just want to give you my perception of both sides, as well as my own. Let’s start off with the sets themselves. A lot of people in the Bionicle community feel that the new sets (2015, for those unaware) are not as good as the old sets (from 2001-’10) on the basis of small detailing. Older Bionicle parts had small, intricate details, and many believe that the resurrection of the characters in CCBS, the newer system, sacrifices those details and overall makes the sets look bad. To me, bad and hate are such strong words (especially now that I have taken a Developmental Psychology course, so… back on topic! he he). Why must we throw these words around like nothing today? I digress. The point I am trying to make is that characters truly are not defined by small details, but sometimes small details can be distracting. Some people dislike the keetorange on Lewa’s chest plate. I’m okay with that; sometimes it bothers my eyes, too. When some say that small details made the characters better is where I have a problem. Take, for example, the new picture of Jared Leto as “The Joker”. The picture reveals that the new iteration of the villain has several tattoos and markings while keeping the same green hair and white makeup from the original design. What is distracting to me, you ask? Answer: the teeth. When I look at a picture of a character, I usually look at their eyes first, but on the picture in question, I began at the teeth. Not the best first impression in my opinion. I digress. Again. The new Toa bring something great to the table: they pull off the character designs with no need for small, insignificant details. Just look at Onua. You can tell without reading his biography that he looks strong and heavy. A similar response can come for any of the other characters introduced thus far. Then there are the summer sets. There are even complaints about those sets not being detailed. Because apparently the bone aesthetic parts (being the ribcage, printed chest plate, skulls, and “bones” on arms/legs) aren’t enough. To me, they get the point across that they are the villains in the world just by overall design alone. Even LOSS gets the point across. After all, spiders are more often than not the villains. So what are your thoughts? Are small details necessary to define a character in most cases? Let me know!
  23. Again, it's been a while... Be happy to know that now that the month of May is upon us, I am now done my first year of college. Also be happy to know that I will finally get back to making Episode 8! I'm excited to finally start filming it now that I have most of what I need for it already done. However, I've decided to make some changes to the ending of the episode. Let's just say that even my guest star may or may not be surprised... I wouldn't expect the episode to come out soon, though. I'm still gathering my bearings and resting after a long week of due dates and finals. Remember: NO OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE AT THE MOMENT.
  24. I still need to see AoU... Great comic, btw. The ending was priceless.
