  1. "Hello darkness my old friend..." Oh boy. That's it again. At least I now have a solid plan for my budget: EVERYTHING THAT REMAINS.
  2. Wow! Thanks everybody! I might actually be down to making more MOCs like this... I'll pick something up
  3. Thanks for the positive comments! I thought that I could also do the helmet design from Civil War, but that might just get silently updated to the gallery
  4. Watching movies is a dangerous way to get inspiration for MOCing. Here's Scott Lang as Ant-Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe: "Woo, superhero landing!" "Okay, tiny dude's big now!" Link to gallery Replies are always appreciated!
  5. Oh man. I just watched the prologue and both episodes, and I already adore the series. All the Toa got their fair share of screentime, and nothing in the dialogue seemed too cheesy. Can't wait the upcoming episodes and finding these on disc! I need Ketar.
  6. I really should get the Stone sets.

  7. Major Finnish retailers seem to be carrying almost the whole winter wave, with the intriguing exception of Uxar and Ketar. They don't even show up iin online catalogues, only on TLG's page. I would have really liked to buy the Stone sets in a single trip.
  8. The Wonderful 101 has a special place in my heart, so I wanted to make a MOC from the game. This one is an advanced infantry unit of the alien invaders called GEATHJERK, capable of moving so fast that the human eyes can not perceive it. Highly lethal for human civilization, these high-tech mechs can only be countered with the Unite Bomb technique, slowing time around them. There are three variations: the normal golden Doora with claws, purple Surey Doora equipped with magnetic shurikens and Gurry Doora, dark grey and armed with two huge drills. Link to gallery. In-game enemy file image. Image credit to IGN. Also, I unofficially confess my love towards Exo-Force robot arms. Secondly, yes, my "lightbox" is a folded A2 paper. Thirdly, images have been changed to some better lit ones. Old ones are in the gallery linked above. Criticism, comments, insults, all is welcomed! - RoS
  9. Gah! So close! Congratulations to the top 3, I'll be there someday...
  10. I have one of those banners used to advertise the line back in 2009, it has Mata Nui on Bara Magna background. Got it for free from a store that still had it on display on 2014, and they were trying to get rid of it. something something right place, right time (actually pm me if you want it)
  11. Oh my. Last time I was in the final poll, I was left voteless. Glad that's not the case now thanks everyone!
  12. Watch out for those pesky, ridiculously large trees! This is by far one of the largest MOCs I've made, and I almost ran out of time! Episode VI is my all-time favourite Star Wars movie, so this was only natural. Haha. Gallery, when public: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=560922 Criticism, comments, insults, all is welcomed! - RoS
  13. what are you making? Well, it's a secret, but I can tell it's from Episode VI.
  14. Gah, time is getting short and I still keep tweaking and tweaking and tweaking my entry... I've never built anything that's so large and detailed.
  15. Hah, gonna buy a duplicate of someone with a trans-green eyestalk and release the Master of Jungle from his pains.
  16. woohoo Congrats to the winner! I got a lot of inspiration for MOCs during this contest, and might start posting them here soon. Never thought I could get on a final poll, let alone receive unreal results!
  17. Oh my oh my My Patient made it here! Good luck for all contestants, I'm keeping my vote as a secret... This contest really got people's minds flowing with the spoopiest of MOCs.
  18. "14/06/201X - explorers have retrieved a muscle tissue sample from an underground complex 07/07/201X - parasite recognized. Currently in a passive state, adjusting temperature may trigger activation 25/10/201X - subject grown to the dimensions of 5cm x 5cm x 5cm. Physical injections possible 27/10/201X - muscle mass increasing, displaying aggressive behaviour 29/10/201X - research aborted, subject in quarantine 30/10/201X - contact with Dr. Pumpkin in safesuit. Shoot upon sight" Welcome to my entry-topic for BBC # 71! This is my second time attending, and let's meet the contestant... Patient Zero Dr. Pumpkin underwent major physical renovations, and is now in control of an ancient mind-controlling parasite on his back. Will the infection stop here or will give the Doctor the honour of being the first case of a horrifying pandemic? More pics: Larger version of above Crawling Head close-up Tearing clothes Back view, showing the parasite Screaming Critique is welcome, and spook in peace! - RoS
  19. I really should get the Skull sets.

  20. Personal nitpicks include: • Lack of wildlife. This is pretty important to me, and it would flesh out Okoto neatly. There's a nice topic on BBC about the subject. • Website. From Onya to incorrect picture on a section, you name it. Something serious should be done. The map's cool though. • Lewa's neck, Pohatu's piece count, PoS's lack of back-armour and a few other set problems. That's all for now.
  21. Yeah, that should probably be fixed. I got 13 votes on my first ever public MOC, which is enough victory for now. Top 3 were the best of the best. Looking forward to new contests!
  22. This will be my last post here as well: Way to ignore everything else on my post. I read the TFW thread above after seeing AOE, and I only visit the Movieverse section. I suggest you at least read the last paragraph in my post. Yes, real life is not happiness and triumph all the time, and it should be told to children by their parents, not bluntly by toyline overkill. Happiness and triumph is, after all, what everyone deserves, and that should be taught by everyday life of children.(which happens to include toys.)
  23. Is this the same dude that dubs Movieverse Autobots as "Slaughterbots?" For, you know, actually participating the war by killing Decepticons? I don't see how that's too OOC. The point is, it's hard to think what is or is not grim enough for you to enjoy. Bionicle G1 was already pretty rough considering that it had no previous fanbase that the previously mentioned roughness would've attracted, unlike Transformers, at least the Movieverse. I have gone through different threads all over BZP, EB and TFW2005: Every thread I've seen you post in you seem to always disagree with the context, whether it be "the best CCBS set", "Bionicle G2 is fun" or "good things about the Movies". I think it's pretty sad that if I see a thread like those above, with a post of yours in, I can pretty much already read it with select buzzwords without even seeing it. I, along with others, would like to be friends with everyone, but you could pay attention to the proverb "if you can't say anything good, say nothing." Especially if it's a topic dedicated to a subject you've expressed your opinion on rather many times.
