IC: Kavok Quake
The situation was getting bad. In a panic he shot the nuclear waste in three different directions, hoping for the best.

GM IC 78 EAST
"I'm trying to get him to come with me so we can go home." 78 said, walking out to the main floor and gesturing to Kavok Quake. "C'mon Kavok. Boss is done here and we're waiting on you. Let's go."
IC: Kavok Quake
"Ah reinforcements"
He said to the officer above him
"Once again the benefits of you letting me go are many"

Ninjago has been full of continuity issues since 2012. The biggest being Lloyd's existence (Lloyd is 14 but it's made very clear by Sensei Wu's age that decades had gone by since Garmadon went evil. But Garmadon was supposedly in a relationship with Lloyd's mother prior to going evil which means Lloyd must have been born decades earlier). Lego seem to handle Ninjago's story very differently to bionicle. With bionicle Greg would write some big complicated story to tie everything together whilst with ninjago the writers just ignore the plot holes and continue going.

IC: Kavok QuakeOOC: I... I guess Thumper's punch hits...?
IC: Eloise Thumper - Secret Tunnel
Thumper didn't expect the villain to shout in her face, but it was his loss. Her fist connected with his face, with enough force to send him flying. She stomped after him. "You are under arrest! Give up now and we won't have to take this fight further."
Just barely seeing he reached for one of his bombs
"Listen, let me go and it will be at yours, mine, and the universes benefit.."
OOC: Sorry, I just want to clarify what's happening in this post so I don't misunderstand. Quake is, I guess, lying on the floor, and his vision is damaged from Thumper's strike? Have I got that right?
Additionally, you still haven't replied to Fishers, who asked about the police officers' laser fire. Or, more specifically, if any of the shots hit.
OOC: Yes you are correct and I'm just gonna say that the shots missed due to the darkness.

Well that's good. More jobs for Europe and more lego. Nothing bad here.

IC: Kavok Quake
Realizing he was surrounded he could only think to do one thing
"Alright protectors of your own oppression, come out and face me!"

Pretty nice. I'll probably never get it but this is still pretty cool to see. I just kinda wish there were more gadgets.

IC: Mara Quiver - I Assume Thumper's Doing Some Kind Of Cool Slow Motion Walk Over
OOC: masterchirox, you have 24 hours to respond to Thumper's recent attack. You also need to consider getting Kavok Quake back to the spaceport and out of there.
If you don't respond, I will write an IC to get your character out of there. You may not like it.
OOC: Did not notice that post.
IC: Kavok Quake
Believing he heard a sound he turned around and threw one of the gun powder bombs into the dark, hoping it hit whatever was there.

If anyone else is having issues with the link just remove the apostrophe after the project number in the URL. Pretty impressive, very unique compared to lego's other Christmas sets. I'm pretty sure this will pass, not many new molds required, kid-friendly. Can't see any reason why it wouldn't pass.

My brother got a sort of messed up Terak today, with a wobbly beast foot, AND a Purple spike that is a slightly different shade of purple than the other ones.
Make sure to keep those pieces, they could become collectors items.

Much better then last year. The Bios for the smaller characters actually tell us something about them. It also seems to be delving into the world a bit more. Just one problem, where did the last webisode go?

So Umarak is born from shadows? I thought Makuta would have created him, I mean why else is he looking for the mask of control? Unless he existed independent of Makuta and then Makuta just talked to him somehow. And for that matter where is Makuta anyway (as in where is his body on Okoto)?

This summer, I want a HUGE villain. I just think it would be awesome to have an enemy that looks impressive and can't be defeated by just one of the Toa. I also want some soup and soda.
After seeing what was done with general Grievous I'd say that's a good possibility.

That thing just screams Greg Farshtey. Sounds like it could have made for some great side stories.

I'm still a little disappointed with the creatures. A lot of them don't feel very rahi like which is what I was hoping for them. Only Uxar and Akida really scream rahi to me and even then I wish they had unique heads to better represent the animal they're supposed to be.

Geez... some harsh opinions in this topic.
For my part, I've barely played Angry Birds, but from what I have played, it's a solid game that seems at least on-par with a lot of classic arcade hits. So already I'm skeptical of the idea that it is just a "fad" when the franchise has seemingly had more great games in the past decade than more positively regarded franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog. And I've watched one of the trailers for the movie, and it seemed decent (it was a better-looking trailer than I've seen for a lot of animated kids' movies, that's for sure). People have criticized the idea of making a movie based on something with such a basic story, but then, people were saying the same thing about making a movie about Lego two years ago. The light story outline of the game seems to actually be doing the movie some favors, since it frees up the writers to really flesh out the story and develop some interesting themes.
These sets look great, and as I'd hoped since the initial announcement of the theme, they seem to have incorporated a lot of the kinetic aspect of the game into the sets' functions. The sets are all wonderfully, unrepentently cartoony in their appearance. The pig vehicles all look amazingly ramshackle (while still looking like sturdy builds), and all the figures look cute and diverse. There are all sorts of fantastic-looking parts, too—from printed boards and TNT crates to hot dog buns, eggs, and all sorts of amazing recolors like green feathers, pink seaweed, and azure window frames.
I think that as long as the movie is decently successful, these sets are likely to be a hit. A lot of the criticisms of this theme (that it's years too late or that the "fad" has passed) seem quite similar to AFOLs' predictions of doom and gloom for the Minecraft theme, and look how that's turned out.
You could compare it to the minecraft theme but the difference between the two in terms of popularity is very different. Rovio has since had to lay off over 30% of it's workforce, whilst minecraft (whilst not quite as big as it was back in 2012) still has relevance and Mojang are doing fine. I can still find minecraft merchandise quite easily, whilst recently I saw a kid in an angry birds T-shirt... that was first time I'd seen anything angry birds in a long time. Plus at my local video game store I've seen copies of angry birds for PS3 going for quite a low price and still not selling. And it's not just where I live I've heard similar things said by many others online.

These things are just... weird. I don't really see much point in their existence. Most of the sets are vehicles that already exist (and have been done much better). The pig city thing looks like it was created for one function. The ship looks awkward and doesn't look like it can hold many minifigures. The castle look kinda interesting but there's just far better out there. The film itself looks like your average cliched animated family film (and once again I don't see the point of it's existence). The minifigures look like a mutated version of the rock monsters and does not translate well into lego. I don't expect this to last beyond one wave.

So has anyone noticed that when you look into the background of the kopaka + Melum set you can see some shadow traps. They look the same as the one you get with Ikir but they have blue legs instead of orange. So is this just for the box or are we getting more shadow traps this year?

I got a set of mismolded feet with my terak. The bottoms aren't flat and the set wobbles back and forth.
All these mistakes are making me worry about my sets. Hopefully mine will be fine.

I think the yellow submarine will pass as it would be the easiest to make with an affordable price and is very iconic.

OOC: masterchirox and Luroka, I get the feeling you two should technically be waiting on Fishers posts. Kavok Quake should be face to face with some police officers pretty soon if not now, and no one has offered any posts to suggest resistance to Breaker because we are waiting on Fishers to return so she can have Zib notice the intrusion, or IC some automatic security systems.
Sorry, guys. I know you've both only got one character each and it can be a pain to wait. Fishers should be coming back soon, though. Oh and don't feel like you have to null or change your posts just yet- you can wait and see what she thinks of he situation, and see if she renders it able to be played along with.
OOC: Alright. I thought my objective may be over with what with the mission ending. I've edited up the post.

This sounds like it could have been interesting. I probably didn't notice it as I didn't go on the website much. You might be able to find it on the wayback machine.

IC: Kavok Quake
"Wait, I have what I need, what do I owe those criminals? No I'll go for the heroes directly"
He started to walk back to where he came hoping no one would notice him.
What do you do with your older sets?

I stored mine in a plastic box. I will do the same with 2016.
