  1. That's what I've always thought, but all of the relationships I've been in have been toxic with me being used. They always dump me at bad times too. My first girlfriend dumped me at a dance, and the other after that on our anniversary. Hopefully my luck changes and I can find someone who views things as though we're equals instead of treating me as a slave to her whims. Anyway, that's a quite personal and off-topic matter. I plan on keeping my BIONICLE sets and at some point giving them to my future children. That sucks, well good luck to you. I haven't had a problem with my partners knowing I have Bionicles. They actually ask me to narrate the main story for them too.
  2. Wow! It looks great Thank you ♥ I'll save the image and search for the parts on Bricklink once I can afford them. Again, Thank you!
  3. *hugs Forgets* Only paint the CCBS pieces if it's absolutely necessary. And I suggest only buying from Bricklink if you have money to spare. (Which is why I don't buy from Bricklink yet. I only get $40 per two weeks to spend freely. Which I mainly use on Bionicles, or shaman clothes.)
  4. Yay, happy birthday! *birthday hugs*
  5. Currently revamping my self-Moc now that I have green shells. I have the main base, staff, and reworked tools done. I'll be adding shamanic pieces before posting it. A cloak, scarf, etc. And debating on painting runes on the shell pieces or not.
  6. The very last entry of Takanuva's Blog mentioned that a group of Ta-Matoran had escaped from Teridax controlled Metru Nui, were travelling to Mata Nui, and were supposed to send word back, but never did. Greg later confirmed that these Matoran had died. Oh, that. I thought you said they were trying to escape Mata Nui, and that it was some obscure thing mentioned in the encyclopedia or something. Did he say how they died? If they did escape they either A) fell to their deaths from the robot's face, or B) if Teridax already took off, and they suffocated in the vacuum of space. Most likely B. The matoran would've stayed clung to Mata Nui. It has a center of gravity to itself so the matoran would have had no trouble walking around outside.
  7. Uh oh. Here come the "religion = no gays" debates ag-Wait.. Sorry. Forgot this wasn't a YouTube comments section. In response to the full post... Yeah, absolutely right. Good job, Carum. Thanks. I only said monotheistic religions because every polytheistic religion does support gays for one reason or another. I won't say what two religions caused the suppression, but feel free to google the holy crusades if you're curious. Anyway, back on topic. I'm starting to see Pohatu x Kopaka a lot more. Especially since I decided to try catching up on the story. I like to think that during Hewkii's time as a toa, he kept the plushie of Macku with him at all times. The thought of being with her motivated him to keep moving forward.
  8. That would be pretty unwieldy. Plus, I'm not a metalsmith, so I really have no way of doing that. By curved pick, do you mean like a pickaxe or like a hammer with the two prongs? Another thing to put on the other side would be a hockey stick-like paddle to just dribble the ball. I might just look up how to make a wooden mallet and stick it on the other end of the shaft. I'm not afraid of a wooden club breaking or anything, since wooden golf clubs work very well. As for the scoop, I was thinking of getting a relatively strong piece of metal (maybe a cylindrical rod) and bending it into shape, and then laying one strip of nice thick sheet metal across the bottom. Not only would it make the scoop lighter, but it would allow air to pass through. Alright, so not iron or steel. I mean like a pickaxe. But the underside curved. Also dribbling the ball isn't really something done in kolhii. The scoop sounds like a nice idea, I approve
  9. Mixels for a current set Spongebob for an old set
  10. Assuming the ball is a little heavier than your typical soccer ball, then there will likely need to be standard soccer attire (cleats, shin guards, ect.). Usually goal-keepers don't wear that much more protection than the players (aside from padded gloves), however since the mass of the object flying at them will be greater, they'll probably need some sort of chest padding that protects the upper and lower torso. They might need a facemask, but that would depend on how heavy the ball is (if it was closer to a bowling ball then yes, but more like a soccer ball then no). But remember, the heavier the object means that the shorter distance that it will be kicked. So if the ball is really heavy then that doesn't necessarily mean that the goal-keeper will need to be heavily armored, as it might hinder their mobility and thus their ability to block shots. I guess you're right if you're playing soccer-style Koli. In my mind, I'm imagining playing this with a soccerball-sized medicine ball, so it's probably going to remain groundbound for the most part. So yeah, basically standard soccer gear. When I was talking about the gear, though, I was referring to lacrosse-style Kolhii in which the ball is probably pretty heavy and about the size of a softball. The goalie would definitely want some full body protection if they're going to have softballs flung at them. In a couple weeks, I'll have a lot of time (summer vacation and all) so I might actually work on developing a Kolhii staff and shield. I'll be sure to hang around this thread, I can't wait to see what they look like! Totally gonna keep checking up here to see the progress. Does anyone here have suggestions on stuff? My biggest problem I think is going to be the hammer/club part. What would be practical to use for that? Right now I'm thinking just a refined block of wood, a la croquet mallet.I would say iron would work best. Iron or steel. Hammer shaped. One side flat for direct shots. The other side a curved pick so the ball can be redirected mid-air by using the curve in the pick.
  11. "Gay personality" what is a... "gay" personality? and what are the signs of such a personality? can only people with "gay personalities" be gay? is there a "Bi personality" too? is it impossible to be anything but straight without the "gay personality"? but really, with that horridly skewed gender ratio, there's a pretty decent chance of somebody in Bionicle being gay, if not most of them. :0 1st) You can still have a romantic relationship without sexual interaction. I have many partners who I only go as far as kissing and close cuddling. 2nd) The characters have shown a need to care for eachother, which means they also rely on companionship. If two characters rely heavily on each other to an extent, it CAN evolve into a romantic relationship. 3rd) It's a world where 90% of the known characters are male. And the gender identity is only through their thought process (AI). If they choose to love another of the same gender, it wouldn't seem like a big deal to them. They don't face the same social pressure we have from decades of suppression from monotheistic religions. So being gay would not bother them one bit. Onua x Lewa forever
  12. I'm sure it will. Kolhii was a staple of Bionicle when it first started.
  13. So you mean a part of the RPG forum or under the events forum? :3Events. Since it involves actual meetups. RPG would cause debate on if it's real or just for roleplay. Oki, just wanted clarification. :3 No problem

  15. And that's one reason a Kolhii section is a must. So the rules are easier to access. The section would allow people to host local teams and plan matches with other teams. Things such as discussions on kolhii rules and what standards to use for tournaments.
  16. I'd say most likely 4... Check my post on the Kolhii rules
  17. Well it's a temporary measure for gameplay. Until the sport is officialized. Once then, community members can vote on how the official ball should be made.
  18. The staff is the only off point that's off. Otherwise it's amazing Great job.
  19. The point you make about destiny is a very good point, it actually plays a far greater role here. Matoro was destined to revive the Great Spirit and the Toa Inika were destined to assist him, so I'm not so sure we can say they wouldn't have gone to Voya Nui if Jaller hadn't been there to persuade them. Destiny would have made it so that one way or another they made their way to the Kanohi Ignika. Of course the question that remains is whether they would've rescued the Nuva along the way in this alternate scenario the way they rescued them in the actual timeline, but what's important there is that the Makuta wanted the Nuva to survive until they could awaken the Great Spirit and he essentially was in control of what was going on on Voya Nui.And yeah I don't know how serious SPIRIT's post was intended to be, but I think essentially destiny and the Makuta would've made it so the Nuva wouldn't die before they were supposed to awaken the Great Spirit. At the risk of getting embroiled in another destiny vs. fate discussion, destiny can change, otherwise how else would there be parallel universes? What's the difference between the two? They have about the same meaning, just like fate and luck (though destiny and luck are not the same thing; my definition for fate and luck go off of my understanding of the Roman goddess Fortuna, so maybe the definition has changed a bit since two thousand years ago).Destiny is what you will become Fate is what will become of you
  20. Thank you so much! I planned on a minifig, not a doll. So I'll get one of the freckled faces, and look for a skin tone tone, which I'll paint completely. Stripes is okay. I can debate on if to paint on the scarf or knit a small one. For the legs, I'll probably use a dress brick. Not sure what size they are.
  21. If we do start condoning the use of bootlegs and third parties, I strongly suggest they be community tested first. Have members get the products and test them out, then post reviews. If they're bad, make sure no one else buys them. I have third parties and knock off bricks with my Lego's, but if they're too brittle or misshapen I throw them in a "sin box" for my little brothers and sisters to play with.
  22. Hey, I want to design a minifig of myself. Getting parts from BrickLink or Amazon and painting (or using printing) on what I need necessary. For reference: http://i.imgur.com/aOyfGUV.jpg Can I get help? Thank you <3 ♥
  23. I'll still be playing with mine for hundreds of years. Or at least until they break down.
