  1. Last book I finished reading was The Hobbit. Currently reading The Lord of the Rings from beginning to end.
  2. In order from most popular to least: Green (apparently. Seeing as how these sets are always low in stock) Red White Black Blue Brown Green probably doesn't seem like a popular color, but it actually is. Green means optimism and creativity. Kids, though see red as an eye catcher, also see green as a happy color. Even stores know this! They put the green toys on lower shelves more often. I actually have a hard time finding green Lego sets because they're sold out so quickly.
  3. "I couldn't find water if I fell out of a canoe." -Takua I even use this quote myself.
  4. And what I said about Metru Nui. The first half is good, the second half...eh... It would've been good leaving it with the first half. The Hordika stuff seemed too choppy, like it was made only to fill loose plot holes and not make a story.
  5. I now have the 2015 Pohatu. It actually is quite impressive. The design itself says a lot about the character, which lacked in the other three. As a writer, this is something I love to see. However, the 2001 is still most iconic. Despite being less posable. So I am tying 2001 and 2015 with an equal score.
  6. This is completely opinionated, if you don't like what I say it's totally okay. What I like about the new story: The overall plot is well planned. It's basic which is good for younger fans. The designs and the themes of the story are well placed too. However, there are a couple ticks. The personalities are a bit off. The toa were tasked to protect the villages from the spiders. So that should have been it. They didn't even defeat the lord of skull spiders. They just knocked it off a cliff. What. The protectors were doing all the fighting. Especially Tahu's. Tahu is a hothead. Why did he run away?? Agh, hopefully the August continuation will pay off. I think the issue is Lego spent too much effort in developing the toys and not the story. Like what happened with the Metru Nui arc. They need to find a balance. I think that's what will get Bionicle a big name.
  7. Mata were the first toas I ever owned. I was still young at the time and that was good enough. I was fine with playing with them without posing. The Nuva were good as well, I liked the weapons and especially toa Lewa. I didn't like though that Kopakas mask was mirrored from the original. Otherwise it was alright. AA I never had. I was going through a rough patch and was unable to purchase any sets at all. However, from seeing them, they looked unpleasing. They had no action and were much too thin. I wish they stayed close to the metru designs. I plan on getting the 2015 models. They interest me and I plan to reuse the parts later for future projects of mine. Some I won't say. However, what I don't like about the new sets is the inequality of dedication placed into each toa. Tahu has the most effort while Lewa has the least. (Only Tahu's mask has inner detailing while Lewa is very vague) My choice is tied for all four.
  8. Well I created my own moc that creates figures similar to the new ones. Except with no gear box. I have yet to figure that out. So far they're just poseable. I made one of Hewkii, I have pictures but I don't know how to post them... I'm on a droid. I have my toa character. Using a few modifications such as the arms staying in place and poseable legs and neck. It is on a Toa Mata base. Plus a few scattered projects here and there, mainly testing elements.
  9. Oh okay, thank you. This theory had been lingering in my mind since I was little.
  10. I always had this theory that some of the Metru-Matoran were inadvertently left behind and were transformed into the creatures we now know as Bohrok. Note that both the Bohrok and Metru Matoran have similar limbs and feet. The masks of the matoran are faded at the top, like the Bohrok faces. The Bohrok krana even appeared similar to the masks the matoran wore. The bohroks came out of pods, much similar to the ones the matorans were put in. Perhaps the matoran were even infected with hordika venom which is what changed them.
  11. Well, regarding the location of the masks. Each of the three masks follows a cultural theme that matches two of the elements. The mask of shadow is regarding medieval Gothic. So would be located between the areas for Earth and Fire. The mask of creation, however, is more tribal. Regarding ancient Incan society. So as such it is most likely between the areas of Jungle and Water. Whether the clouds are intentionally obscuring potential locations is most unlikely. Though I think it more so is used to cover locations to be later seen in a future add-on.
  12. Hello there, my name is Carum. I'm a shaman, though I do play with Lego's, and especially Bionicle, in my spare time. I enjoy the Bionicle series, old and new. Preferably old. And I do like the new figures. Just... Not the new story. Anyway, its nice to meet you all. I'll be on Kik if you need me. Otherwise expect me to be slow on replying.
