  1. I believe that he was just supposed to be a promotional polybag, but if he were to be given a canon role, he would most certainly be a Voya Nui matoran, or even one in Karzahni, judging by his maskless head. And yet, in the Bionicle fanbase, he has risen above his humble stature to become the absolute best-remembered promotional set of all time.
  2. The 'they' referenced appears to be Makuta, but I'm not quite sure.
  3. Unbelievably, this site has weird, ridiculous emoticons like a smiley with an afro, and some weird paddling people, and rubber hammers, and mighty morphing smilies, but no hugs. So I had to resort to outside sources. I apologize for the delay.
  4. Greg added the Red Star's revival function because he wanted to do a "zombies in a space station" story, or so the tale is told. I remember something on BSO1 about matoran on Mata-Nui not being able to be revived on the Red Star because it was outside the Matoran Universe.
  5. No problem! It's always better to be safe than sorry. (In regards to the review topic.) This story reminds me of a poem in Lord of the Rings called the Song of Durin.
  6. As this is a short story, it doesn't really need a differentiated review topic, but I'll use it anyway. It was a rather interesting story. A more apt title might be "Legacy of the Toa," since that is mostly what's being dealt with. It does leave several questions unanswered, however. How did Kopaka and Pohatu get off of the Red Star, for example, and another is how the Toa dealt with Marendar, who at the end of the story seemed the greatest threat. It does seem to be a very final and hopeful ending that seems fitting with the rest of the story and the G2 canon you based it off of. Congratulations on posting this, and if you feel you want a grammar check, then please feel free to ask.
  7. Since the mask was known as a legend before its creation, perhaps it was just the shape known by its legend, if there were ever pictures made of it. Or maybe if the shape had never been theorized, Vakama just made it however he wanted to, if there was no preset guideline on how it should look. The Vahi attempts likely kept breaking because he wasn't using the right disks, not because of the shape. But why would the mask break, instead of becoming a Vahi shaped mask with the capabilities of say, a Hau?
  8. The name is not capitalized.P.S. How do quotes work? Thanks for letting me know! Looks like that matches what I'd decided to go with, which is nice to see. Where'd you find that, out of curiosity? It was on Brickipedia. They keep all the original set descriptions in their articles.
  9. G2 was interesting. It may not have been the best it could have been, but the set design and animation quality were both excellent. I, as I'm sure many people did, collected the entire first year. Granted, all my Toa are in a lego box in shards because I mad Akaimi and Wairuha and never had the ambition to put them back together. I watched the first episode of Journey to One, and I got so excited, because I thought that we might have gotten a different animation of the first year. Possibly in 3D, with different voices, the possibilities were great! But that didn't happen. We got the same flash style animations as 2015. But that was alright. Money doesn't grow on trees, so reusing footage makes sense. Another thing that was kind of missed was the Lord of Skull Spiders. His catalog description told me more about him than the animations. He was just a screaming monster to be defeated in two seconds. He sounds epic. Who put him there? Why is he guarding the city? Against what? I'm not sure if this was my brain from three years ago talking, but it sounds like he has a much greater purpose than "Destroy." It almost sounds like he was placed to make sure that the best heroes get to Ekimu. The golden mask of skull spiders was amazing, and seemed like the perfect goal for Season One: free all the Okotans! In reality, though, it was never even mentioned. I'm not even going to say anything about the dangling, person sized web cocoon that I'm fairly sure I noticed under the bridge. Wait! There! Can you see them? https://biosector01.com/wiki/Gallery:Okoto#/media/File%3AOkoto_City.png
  10. Given that you've issued an ultimatum on the subject, I assume it is no longer important, but here is Iruini's set description: The name is not capitalized. P.S. How do quotes work?
  11. It's possible that the movie's producers or animators needed to make sure that the audience recognized that the Toa Metru were recognizably the same as their previous Matoran states. A mask is essentially their face, or what will be recognizably their face, for the entire movie. It wouldn't be the best if the main characters are unrecognizable so soon into the movie. Another curious facet of mask making: Vakama's attempts to create the Vahi failed, and the resulting masks broken, because he wasn't working with the best disks. How did he know what the mask was supposed to look like, as well as the disk combination? And why did the Vahi keep breaking, presumably due to disk purity, if mask shape doesn't matter?
  12. I believe that it came with all the boxes, the ones that came with the masks. I don't know if those are starter packs or not.
  13. The moderators don't usually like people bringing back threads this old that haven't been commented on in a while. Not sure how it would go though, seeing as how how you finally solved the mystery of who built these awesome things! Gotta say, your Takanuva and Teridax are amazing! Real shame you couldn't get an avohkii on the Takanuva, and if I were to ever try to remake it, id probably conisder getting a custom "G2 Avohkii" 3D printed (probably wasn't an option for you though since you needed to advertise actual Legos). Regardless though Im glad you revived the topic, since otherwise I wouldn't have been able to see this! It's even more impressive after hearing the backstory! And if it's even half as good as this building,is i'd love to read the story you mentioned. The topic limit is usually a month, I believe. Generally, though, a topic that retains purpose, and not just a single comment, seems to remain open, such as the Bionicle Alternate Model Database. I don't quite know, though. In any case, Takanuva and Teradix are indeed impressive mocs. I poked around Shapeways, and though I was regrettably unable to locate an Avohkii, I did find a G2 connected Kraahkan. That can be located here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/ZGNFE8SQZ/kraahkan-g2?optionId=60728338&li=more-from-shop More information about Teridax can be found here: https://biosector01.com/wiki/Teridax (Unfortunately it doesn't link straight to the Kingdom's section, but it is in there.) And finally, the entire Kingdom serial can be found here: http://biomediaproject.com/bmp/files/txt/The%20Kingdom.pdf Best of luck with your epic!
  14. Are you sure you're looking for the story booklet? Because this doesn't come in a PC box. This was for a packet of trading cards. And as far as I know, there was never a GameCube port, or a plan of one, for the Legend of Mata Nui.
  15. Hmm... Your post presents an unique conundrum. Can the mask, which is essentially the essence of this topic, ever be removed from it? The only thing truly anchoring this topic together was the Ignika itself, because this area has no set location, or even a single universe. So it seems that it cannot be removed, since the topic follows the mask, or indeed, masks that players throw at it. I'll leave you to reconcile with yourself how you appeared to remove the mask. As the mask is unable to be removed from this topic, the previous post in invalid. Therefore, My Mask.
  16. This is completely unrelated to most things going on in this topic currently, but were there ever any instructions made for the 2005 alternate playset builds?
  17. BMP got a music archive update!

  18. Maybe the product descriptions for the Hagah would help? Although, they would be presented as a play-type feature, and that means that they would be capitalized as they were important parts. It seems likely that they would be capitalized, though, as they seem to be an important tool. I noticed all of your examples for capitalization appeared after 2002. Does that have anything to do with it?
  19. It was an established storyline previously that Onaku was the mask, but nice try. We keep falling, and it's still... My Mask.
  20. I am insulted. Of course I had a breathing apparatus. Did I have it on? No. Was I in the water when it existed? No. So obviously, that is not me drowning in air. Now we all fall into Karda Nui since there is now a hole in the ocean.I catch the mask while falling. I am concerned about whoever was drowning, though. My Mask.
  21. I use a fire extinguisher. And call the fire department. And a marine wildlife society. And Smokey the Bear. An a legion of toa of water and ice. The fire stands no chance, and you are arrested by the wildlife society for removing habitat. My Mask.
  22. What mountain? Oh. Ow. That really hurt. Can I share that medicine? While you were busy moving mountains, I swiped the mask and gave it to TTL by way of apology.
  23. Sorry. Right off of the top of my head. I give you some medicine and take the mask back.
  24. Finally. I almost thought things would never escalate past page 299. I had a plan... but what was it? Hmm...... Ah well. I suppose I can remember it with time. But, for now, it is page 300, so I might be able to cross the timelines now... SUCESS. ENJOY YOUR TRIP. Yes. I enter the timeline, and TTL gets a migraine, so I can remove the mask from his body. My Mask. At last.
