  1. IC / Following Vertak / Flying: Brother stayed hovering a short distance away, hidden in a deep shadow cast by a nearby building. It seemed the tank-like vehicle had stopped. Where was this Matoran going? The Matoran had just left the others and now he was stopping already? Actually, the Matoran might be able to feel or read when powers were exerted or being used. But he hadn’t noticed Brother before, so the equipment had to be in the vehicle. Still, that was a guess, Vertak was probably just stopped to get something to eat or whatever it was Matoran did all the time.

  2. IC / Following Vertak / Flying: Brother’s eyes narrowed. It seemed the Matoran was the one with the most information here, or the sword was. Either way, both had just left in almost a tank like vehicle. Flying low to the ground and from shadow to shadow, with shadows still surrounding him, he followed.

  3. IC / The Arena Tunnels / Fighting Kairan: Swerv mentally rolled his eyes. It wouldn’t be much of a trap if he just stepped out and engaged Kairan. In fact, Kairan just might be able to do something big. If that Toa was still hanging on, there was a reason for it. As Kairan went farther down the main hallway, the crackling sound intensified. It definitely was around the next right corner.

  4. IC / The Arena Tunnels / Fighting Kairan: The hallway appeared empty and the tunnel did not branch off for a considerable distance. It appeared Swerv was not there. A quick scan would reveal that the dust from the debris hadn’t even been disturbed down the tunnel Kairan had stepped into. Meanwhile, the crackling energy remained the same. IC / Warehouse / Eavesdropping on Vertak and Co.: Gods. The undead. The Brotherhood getting involved. It seemed Brother had missed something major in the past year, no thanks to Swerv, Draxion, and that rotten Toa of Iron. At least now he was able to glean information. It seemed that Lyxek was indeed making a large power play. Brother would have none of that. Brooding in his corner, he let his mind wander with ideas as he continued to listen in, cloaked in deep shadows.

  5. IC / KNPD HQ / Just outside: Waiter nodded at Alan after he had dragged Roen down the same alley, “Sounds good. I’ll meet you there.” Glancing at Slate, Waiter flipped Roen and slid his arm underneath. Rolling the body onto his shoulder, he had the metal of his armor take the weight off of his shoulder as he stood up by growing beams, supporting Roen. Turning on his Volitak, he also began the speed walk to the Day Run.

  6. OOC: Ah, yes, big bodies to carry. Don't worry, Waiter is much stronger than he appears, hence no speed lost in dragging a large body than in dragging a normal Toa dragging a normal body. Ok, I don't even understand what I just said. :P And I wasn't doing anymore metal bending, btw. Although you might have just been speaking about that generally. I don't even know how you can negate natural powers, but meh. It's cool nonetheless that the Director can do that. And have Kairan step a little closer, Blade. :vampire: IC / The Arena Tunnels / Fighting Kairan: Finally, Kairan was near. The Toa rounded a corner to reveal a long hallway with three separate intersections with tunnels branching off to the left and the right. It basically yelled out “Trap”. Still, one tunnel, at the first intersection and on Kairan’s left, was caved in, where Alan had ambushed Swerv’s body when his mist was out floating. Down the hallway at the second intersection a crackling sound could be heard, but it was muffled, as if energy were being contained. IC / Warehouse / Where the Sword had just been: Brother landed, cloaked in the shadows. It felt as if there had been power over here just recently. At least more than was there now. Hidden from view, he watched the Tumbler and the beings around it. IC / KNPD HQ / With Alan: Waiter grunted at the blow but it didn’t concern him much at the moment. He had endured much much worse. After the Director’s last comment, he saw no more reason for concern and so dragged Roen with one hand out of the KNPD HQ. The other hand was grabbing his emergency medical equipment that he kept in a small pack strapped to his back. At a reasonable distance, Waiter dropped Roen and administered to his wound the best that he could. Well, at least he managed to stop the bleeding. The Toa was standing in a pool of his own blood. Nevertheless, he put away the equipment and looked up to see if Alan had come as well.

  7. IC / South District / Listening: Brother stood there, taking in his surroundings. Feeling the shadows of the island, he was able to observe much. Like the struggle for a powerful object in a certain warehouse. Snapping open his eyes, he went into flight mode and soared off. IC / KNPD HQ / With Alan: Waiter smirked as they rounded the next corner, “Name, well… I am called Waiter. It’s more of a title actually. And it’s as in patience, not restaurant.” They were halfway through the lobby when the Toa glanced back as Slate joined them, but he remained silent. It was not in his interest to meet a lot of beings. Greeting Elithes and Illuxio and then Brother had already been pushing it for one day.

  8. OOC: Ugh, I move too fast when I get an idea on the spot. Sorry about that. =/ IC / KNPD HQ / With Alan: Waiter glanced up from his search. He thought something didn’t feel right. The door was already reopening. Grabbing both bodies by their back armor, the Toa started to drag them away. Looking at Alan he said, “Scratch that. We need to move.”

  9. IC / The Arena Tunnels / Fighting Kairan: Kairan had finally entered the tunnel system. Swerv could tell from his pulses that the Toa still had a ways to go before reaching him. But he would be waiting. What if Kairan got lost? The robot hadn’t even thought of that. It was a maze down here. Without perfect memory it would be hard to navigate. It was a good thing that he couldn’t be ambushed though, he had picked the perfect intersection. IC / KNPD HQ / Surprising Alan: “Except that he’s not alone.” The cables closest to Alan were cut by a flurry of attacks as Waiter shut off his Volitak. He grabbed Alan’s arm and pulled and then pushed him back out of the door while still cutting cables with the protosteel sword he had crafted out of his special handle. Unseen, as Waiter backed out of the room, two iron hands grabbed the two dead bounty hunter bodies in the room and dragged them out as well. Waiter help up his hand, and several of the attacking cables meshed together. Finally, when everyone was out, the Toa of Protosteel filled the doorway with iron. Turning to the bodies, he started searching Roen first as he spoke to Alan, “Sorry about that. I’m sure you wanted to get out on your own. Anyway, isn’t that the good guy in there? I didn’t get to eavesdrop on much.”

  10. OOC: You can only hit them if Swerv's standing sideways. Don't worry about them though, according to your posts, Kairan should be ready to faint with any step. :) IC / The Arena Tunnels / Fighting Kairan: With his faint magnetic pulse letting him know that Kairan wasn’t even in the tunnel system yet, Swerv took the time to set up several magnetic spheres filled with electricity. They were definitely not as strong as the lightning ball had been, but they were meant to distract, not attack. IC / KNPD HQ / Arriving: Waiter’s eyes widened in surprise as he rounded the last corner and saw that the front of the KNPD HQ was blasted inwards. The HQ itself! Not taking a moment to break stride, the Toa of Protosteel ran up the steps and through the debris of the main lobby. Now to look for who could have caused this.

  11. IC / South District / Running: Waiter dodged a few unknowing Matoran on the street and ducked under a flying vehicle. He was heading to the KNPD first to see if he could eavesdrop on where the explosion had taken place. He shook his head and rolled his eyes as he looked up. Or he could just follow the smoke.

  12. IC / South District / Forgetting Delta 51: Waiter had his head to the ground. Something had just exploded. Somewhere north, if he guessed correctly. What could be going on? There never seemed to be a dull moment on this island. Well, whatever it was, he was going to find out. He activated his Volitak and headed north in a flat out run.

  13. //EDIT: Oh, just remembered something I was thinking about last night... Was my actual gun affected by the EMP? Or not? Just curious, because it's been shown to just be a normal gun, so theoretically, it wouldn't have anything that would be affected. =P

You don't even mention the gun in the profile. So, meh. If it's a laser gun, then yes, it'd be dead. Or like a plasma gun which needs fancy smancy electronicals to run it. If it's a normal ballistics gun, then it would be unaffected. I didn't know what type it was when you were using it, so I couldn't say what happened exactly.
  14. OOC: Sort of. I had Draxion use a ball of lightning in Night Ride, so I'm slightly familiar with it. Spare Cordak being revealed... NOW! IC / The Arena / Fighting Kairan: Two Cordak left. Both hidden by the “ornamental” short swords he wore on his shoulder along with the mandatory armor there. He might have to use those now, with Kairan still up, and with the fire in the grass barely there. The ball of lightning had done a lot less than he thought it would have. The Toa must have powered it down or not made it that strong in the first place. Or both. Except for during that final attack with the lightning ball, Swerv’s other systems had still been getting enough power to run all the normal systems in his body that weren’t motor functions or some such other important factors that couldn’t be shut off. This meant… Yep, Swerv crouched up and down a couple of times. His legs had been given time to repair themselves. And while he still wasn’t his agile self, he could move with some type of speed again that did not involve explosions or concussion blasts. This was good. It meant he didn’t have to hunker down behind his almost full body shield anymore, even if he could see through it. And it meant that he could finally move from this area of where Elithes’ ice still stood. Backing up rather quickly now while Kairan was still just getting up, Swerv finally turned around, stuck his shield on his back, and sprinted back into the cave opening, which he had not really ventured far from. And from his fight with Alan, he was able to memorize the routes he had taken. He knew the perfect place to ambush Kairan. That is when the Toa of Lightning finally limped out of grass, trying to focus his eyes. When they finally did focus, he would realize he had just seen Swerv retreating. Nay, advancing in another direction. It would confuse him at first, since Swerv’s shield was on his back, and because it covered most of the robot’s body, Kairan wouldn’t be able to tell which way Swerv was facing anyway.

  15. OOC: As of right now, I wasn't planning on having him use them. But then again, Kairan might surprise Swerv. Oh, and please note that while I did not say it exploded yet, it is basically happening a second after this post. I just wanted to give Kairan some room to try anything. IC / The Arena / Fighting Kairan: No. Such. Luck. The magnetic sphere was a compressed form of what the lightning ball used to be, with the power tightly packed in. Although Kairan tried his hardest to straighten it out, there was too much lightning inside and not enough room to straighten anything out. In fact, the lightning was racing around inside of the sphere so fast, that to all outside appearances, it seemed to be a solid ball of white energy. And it had finally reached Kairan. There was no dodging it now. Swerv couldn’t see where it hit, but he knew what was happening. Upon coming upon contact with either the ground, or Kairan, the lightning ball would burst in an explosion more powerful than his Cordak. An explosion of energy that would drain all its electricity into the ground or whatever was closest. In fact, balls of lightning were known to set things ablaze. And in all the tall grass, that seemed very likely. And all of this would take just a second to happen. In fact, Swerv was glad Kairan had kept backing up. Now he was actually a safe-ish distance away.

  16. OOC: Your wish is my command. *bows* And yes, I'd say Kairan has full control over the lightning inside of the magnetic sphere. Since he told it to explode, and Swerv has just barely managed to stop it, it'd definately be hard, but I would say Kairan might be able to greatly reduce the explosive force when it does explode. Or you could surround it in another lightning ball and tell it not to explode. But then again the ball primed to explode inside might just make the shield explode as well. Hmmm... An explosion of electricity. That wouldn't feel good. :P Then again, the ball is so close that Kairan might not have time to do anything. I'd say it's about to hit him. IC / The Arena / Fighting Kairan: The lightning blast hit the magnetic sphere and bounced right off, redirected back to the ground. At the same time, Swerv’s shield was hit with the other lightning bolt. The shield thudded into the robot and sent him stumbling back a few feet, but he was able to use the electricity gained from the bolt to power up the magnetism in his shield, which happened at precisely the right moment, because the lightning bolt that was redirected hit the hidden Cordak right on. The ensuing explosion didn’t touch Kairan, who was too far away at the moment, and it didn’t hurt Swerv, who was once again safe behind his shield. Although the concussive blast did force him to back up again or he would have lost his balance and toppled over, since he wasn’t magnetized to the ground. All it really accomplished was that it looked cool. And hopefully it would distract the Toa of Lightning from the ball of lightning that was once again heading his way, which wasn’t too far away at all. Although in the confusion of the explosion, Swerv couldn’t be sure if it would hit Kairan or just the ground around the Toa, but did it really matter when it would probably knock him out anyway?

  17. OOC: Sorry, not today. :P IC / The Arena / Fighting Kairan: Unfortunately for Kairan, the Toa must not have noticed that the thrown Cordak was already descending upon where he had been on the ground, which, because of its flight pattern, it would have come down on him from straight above. That means that the Cordak had almost reached him when it had begun descending. When it was destroyed, it would not be causing the other Cordak to explode. In fact, Kairan struck it with lightning when the Toa himself was rising up to it, and it was going to be a nasty surprise when he realized it was much closer than appeared. Swerv simply lifted up his shield, directing the ball of magnetism to change its pattern to hit Kairan dead on, but hopefully not literally.
