  1. I like it mostly for the lime green. I'm used to just seeing a lot of red and golds everywhere. The minifig style is also something unique to the line up.
  2. It's been awhile since I've thrown out my steam name. Add me as a friend: WTexVisionary

  3. I was googling "bionicle music" in 2002 for some reason (probably to find copies of the MNOLG music). Naturally, I found nothing, but I did stumble upon both Kanohi Power and BZCommunity. I continued lurking on those forums until the merger.
  4. This MOC was nothing like what I had expected and then I read this: Keeping what I had read in mind, this MOC captures all those characterizations spot on. My favorite parts are the hands and feet. The hands are just the right size that you'd expect from a tree climber like Lewa, and for the feet, I agree with what Paleo said: tree frog-esque. I really like this MOC.
  5. This is a really crisp piece you've composed, Reznas. It's mastered pretty well. I'm also not sure how many would have thought to use trance for an Onu-Koro theme, so that makes your work stand out. Good job!
  6. What's up, bostwuk! I noticed that the combined file size of your avatar and signature is over 100 KB. Please read the Signature and Avatar Guidelines carefully and change your signature accordingly: http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=2

  7. IC: Ra’lhen – Po-Koro Oh well, it was worth a shot, Ra’lhen thought. He smiled in gratitude regardless. “Thanks anyway, Rannin. I want to be headed that way before the sun sets, so it’s best I that I go,” the Vo-Toa said, “It was great meeting you, Toa of Iron. I’ll see you around”
  8. IC: Wokiya – Ta-Koro Hospital The Ga-Matoran smiled warmly, despite slight disappointment in the testimonies she was hearing. Did she really live in a world where six (seemingly) ordinary Skakdi could destroy an inn? It had reminded her of the days of Makuta’s rule, where normal looking creatures around every corner were capable of performing extraordinary – almost paranormal – feats. Perhaps this attack was only a precursor? Whether it is or not, I need to find more survivors and listen to their stories, Wokiya thought, It will take more than just two mouths to have the rock solid truth in hand. “Thanks so very much for speaking with me, and for the cake,” Wokiya said to the two Toa, “I know that the people of Mata Nui will benefit from what you two have seen, and Ta-Koro will benefit once everyone knows that they really did do everything they could to protect this village. That makes it all the more important to get this story out there so that every village can work together to bring these Skakdi to justice. “I’m afraid I must be on my way,” Wokiya said to Mekana with remorse, “But is there anything you would like to say before I go? Feel free to give me your words as well, Ophaim”
  9. IC: Ra'lhen -- Po-Koro Ra'lhen nodded his farewell to Farzan and Lenat, then he left with Rannin. It was at that moment when Ra'lhen had remembered what had gotten him into this impromptu act of manual labor. "Say, Rannin, would you happen to know where Hafu's... resting place is?" Ra'lhen asked the Iron Toa, "Last I was here in Po-Koro, the master carver was still with us. I want to pay my respects"

    RTX Pictures

Hi everyone. For those who wanted to see those pictures, here is the URL. www.dropbox.com/sh/oza1yocyjnd769a/AADApUVE9tMPKoHZnnO5cgaXa . Sorry there aren't that many, I'm no master photographer by any stretch. I had a blast at that convention, and being able to sleep in my own bed was so worth going alone. I do really need to find people to go with next year. I also still need to go watch that other stream with the Game Grumps, since I decided to go see the RWBY Vol. 1 screening instead.

I second this. I still feel bad that I forgot to bring mine last year. Anyway, it was great meeting you at Brickfair and I hope you have an awesome birthday, Sumiki!
  12. Not as weird as other stuff I've come across but still kinda weird (in the best possible way!)
  13. Let's go with Akilini star. If their sports industry is anything like ours, I'd be making bank!

    RTX / Fourth of July

So the links still to work... Don't know how everyone's going to see my pictures then. I guess I'll think of something. Anyway, the fire alarm went off, so all however-many-thousand people in the building had to evacuate. It was chaotic, but the people I walked with still cracked jokes and weren't too ticked off. That's RT community for ya. And yeah, going alone had a big impact, more than I personally would have liked, to be honest. I had to much fun at PAX East and I didn't realize how much of that was due to Black Six, Than, WaWa. and the rest of our group until I waited in those lines (about 2 to 3 hours on average). Still, I'm most likely going to RTX again next year, whether or not I have people to go with. Sorry, I didn't make it to that panel. Thanks! I'm mostly just glad I don't have to travel far to go to a PAX-esque convention. RTX has definitely established itself as a worthy venture.
  15. IC: Ra’lhen – Farzan's Workshop in Po-Koro Ra’lhen turned to Rannin after hearing the Iron Toa’s answer. “That’s awful!” Ra’lhen said sincerely, “Was it on the job? I certainly hope they compensated you well if so”
  16. IC: Wokiya – Ta-Koro Hospital “Oh, I’d love to but I really shouldn’t. I’ve worked too hard for this body to throw it all away” Wokiya finished off the piece of cake.
  17. I can only judge from my own hands-on experience, but I have to say the Rhotuka launchers are up there, tied with the original Matoran arms. The arms had the best accuracy to complexity of use ratio IMO. Rhotuka was easier to use, but it was difficult to get it where you wanted to go. Despite that, there's very little negative things I can say about those little spinners.
  18. IC: Wokiya – Ta-Koro Hospital The report nodded in assent. However, there was more that bothered her than simply the intent. “I believe that,” Wokiya said, “I suppose I’m more bothered by the fact that these Skakdi could destroy an inn, and a very popular one at that.” Wokiya then took another bite of the cake. The dessert had a perfect composition of taste and texture. Some cakes were too sweet for the Matoran’s liking, but this one tasted… practical. Wokiya shook her head as she realized that thought made so sense. Looking back at Mekana, she decided to continue with the Toa’s interview. “All I really have left is this,” Wokiya said as she prepared her last question in her head, “What should the Guard do now? Something needs to change if we still live in a world where six bumbling Skakdi and destroy a landmark. Do you think more security would help? Or perhaps better lighting? What do you think the Akiri, the Captain, and his Guard should learn from this?” Wokiya took another bite of the cake. Relishing herself in the perfection that was offered to her on this glass plate.
  19. First off, I want to wish everyone a happy Fourth of July. Even if that date means nothing to you, it's still a Friday. Go out and party it up tonight! Next up. There were some... unfortunate complications with RTX today. Thus, I'm home earlier than expected. This means I get to talk about my first day at the convention. I woke up bright and early since I regrettably could not get off work early enough for the pre-registration. How they arranged the process was a little complicated, but the (very kind and helpful) Guardians were posted everywhere to direct people and answer questions, so I'm very grateful for that. While in line for registration, I caught a glimpse of Gus rushing by. This was only within like 15 minutes of walking into the convention center. I would have been ready to enter the con proper at about 9 -- only an hour after the registration opened. Only issue was that the con starts at 12, so I had some waiting to do in that regard (but I at least was near the front of the line to enter the exhibit hall). Unfortunately, I missed the call for people waiting for the exhibit hall to open to leave the line to go to the RWBY panel waiting hall. They had apparently announced it at about 10 am. The panel was at 1 pm. One thing that definitely stands out is how much earlier I have to get in line for things as opposed to PAX East. Attendance has doubled this year at RTX, which means rooms fill up faster than you would think humanly possible. So yeah, I can't talk about RWBY because the hall was filled up long before I even made it to the correct line. A positive thing from this is that I had plenty of time to explore the exhibit hall and some lunch at one of the few Austin food trucks open on 4th of July. I learned my lesson for the RTAA panel (which was at 3pm) and got in line at about 1:30pm. RTAA isn't quite as popular as RWBY, so I got to sit near the front for that one. Saw Gus Bot, and chuckled at the some of the very ... awkward questions con-goers asked Jordan, Gus, and Burnie (nothing I'm not used to at this point). After the RTAA panel, I went back to the exhibit hall and picked up Munchkin: Apocalypse. I've been wanting to pick up one of the Munchkin games for awhile and when the lady and the booth talked about it, I knew Apocalypse was the one I wanted. I went back up to where the main hall was at about 5:30 just to make sure I could get a good seat for the Game Grumps event (which was to be at 8 pm). Line was already packed and I think the Guardians had prepare the waiting room earlier than anticipated, but yeah. I was about in the center of the waiting room The next highlight was going to be see the Game Grumps play Cards Against Humanity, but then the unfortunate complication happened. All in all, I had a great time, but no lie: it's really not the same going to a convention yourself unless you're the life-of-the-party type. I talked to plenty of people, but it was clear that a lot of us were overextending ourselves to be talkative, and it's just so much effort when you're a huge introvert (coming up with something to talk about is hard). The events and booths are cool, but at every con, the true draw is really just hanging out with your friends. That's enough rambling. Here are the few pictures I managed to take. Looking forward to tomorrow (which will be boosted by a good night's sleep tonight!)
  20. Hey everyone, As you may or may not have been aware. I'll be attending RTX this year -- starting tonight. Even though I won't be traveling for this, I don't see myself sitting down and writing any posts until Monday. This could potentially be the first time going to a convention well-rested for every day of it, and I can't afford to pass up this chance. I'll still be keeping an eye on things, though. See you guys Monday!
  21. IC: Wokiya -- Ta-Koro Hospital Wokiya hesitated. She had been given tips on multiple occasions to never accept unverified food or drink from interviewees or witnesses on the fly. Freedom of the press wasn't a universally accepted notion and she had heard some frightful stories in the past. She then mused over the context of this situation. Neither Mekana nor Ophaim were shifty or nervous in the slightest. They just went through an ordeal, and they welcomed the reporter. I'm overreacting, Wokiya concluded. She then leaned forward and graciously took the plate with her right hand. "I certainly can't turn down cake," Wokiya said gleefully, "Thanks Ohphaim" Before bringing a piece of cake to her mouth, Wokiya felt the needed to expand upon what Mekana had said. "Give me your thoughts, Mekana. If Ta-Koro has been so well guarded these past few months, how did an entire Inn manage to get blown up?" She then took a bite of the cake.
  22. IC: Ra'lhen -- Farzan's Hut, Po-Koro Ra'lhen frowned. He had heard stories like that from passer-bys, but the confirmation from this man that the villages, bound by the Three Virtues, would become so competitive that they would truly turn against one another brought pain to Ra'lhen heart. Still, he was hardly quality to pass any judgement; especially after the things he did. "That's insane. Praise the Great Spirit for guiding the Akiri and their people back to their senses. I had missed all of this, personally. I had spent that time in the wilderness, just getting a sense of myself and-" Ra'lhen cut himself off. Here he was, in a hut with three people who, for once, knew nothing of his past identity. Why in the name of Mata Nui was he about to screw that up? The Toa chuckled, "Basically, one could make the claim that I was living under a rock during this time -- some times literally"
  23. IC: Ra'lhen -- Farzan's Hut, Po-Koro "Getting even a few of your ideas into the hands of Po-Koro's premier defense force sounds like an accomplishment worthy of glory to me," Ra'lhen insisted. He tried to think back to the times before that Akiri summit, the time that he assumed Lenat was referring to. The truth was, the Toa of Electricity had stayed clear of most of the villages for a long time after Toa Joske rescued him from the infection. "What were times... like back then?" He said, looking at Lenat's visage. He was also interested in the reason behind the Vortixx's expression.
  24. IC: Wokiya -- Ta-Koro Hospital Wokiya's ears perked at the mention of Skakdi. She had no idea Skakdi might have been involved. Even though she had yet to hear any confirmed visual of Skakdi which would implicate them in the bombing, the inquiries that surrounded these often stereotyped beings would make this a hot story. Suspicious looking Skakdi, Wokiya echoed, chiseling the tidbit onto her stone tablet, And usual amount of guards While that was hardly a specific number, the point of the question was whether there were enough guards present for the average citizen to feel safe. Mekana's answer implied that there wasn't a noticeable shortage. Despite this, Wokiya felt the need to pry some more. "Mekana, have you noticed any... thinning of the Guard in the last few months?"
  25. IC: Ra'lhen -- Farzan's Workshop in Po-Koro Ra'lhen smiled with approval at Lenat. "Sounds like you're quite the busy man," the Sentinel said, "It's a high honor to run the Engineering DIvision of this village. The farthest I've ever gotten is a weaponsmith"
