  1. And once again Elisabeth's return to staff is paired with a fresh promotion. (Nicely done, Black Six and co! ) I'm really glad to see you back, Windrider. Not every staffer makes it back after a leave of absence. Congratulations Eyru! You're an excellent choice for the ol' FA team and I know you'll enjoy it. I really appreciate you stepping up to the plate! To everyone else: I may never be as active as I once was, but let's face it y'all -- I can't leave BZPower. I post. I lurk. I post again.
  2. Coffee cake sounds delicious. Um, I mean happy birthday man! Have an awesome time this weekend!
  3. It has been an absolute pleasure. :)

      -Windrider-

It's been good working with you all these years, even if I disappeared for a few of them, lol. Come visit often?

  4. Hi everyone. Sorry for the wait. I'm starting the much needed sprucing up right now. It has been added. Thanks! I've added it. Thanks! Good catch. I've removed the link.
  5. March 8th of last year, I'm afraid. Remember, only the topic starter can revive a topic: Topic closed.
  6. We'll miss you Windrider. I appreciate the time and effort you have put in to keep this site awesome. And talk about flying up the ranks. I know you'll do great at your new position Nate. Congratulations!
  7. If I can find a store that has them I'll definitely make the attempt!
  8. Why are people here so well-dressed?? Or maybe I'm just a sucker for the whole slim-winter-coat-and-scarf look. This is the last night of my vacation though. Tomorrow I fly back to the states. It's really fun though. My Instagram only tells a very small story. It's too bad I won't be doing something like this again for a long time (if ever), but hey -- that's kinda the point right? Once is better than never.

    RTX Bound

Awesome man! I'll be attending RTX as well (bought a weekend pass). Hopefully, there'll be a little more space at the center this time.
  10. Hey what's up! Who's been to Munich? Any must-sees/must-eats I should try? Reubens and beer are on already on the list, as is (most likely) which ever attraction you believe is the #1 result on TripAdvisor. Got any tips?

    BricksCascade peeps.

Yeah, Canada did roll deep this year didn't they? I'm awesome that we got to meet, Letagi! I'm glad you had a good time.
  12. It's a Bionicle video so... yeah. Go on and post it!

    Special Pi Day

Happy 3-14-15 everyone! Enjoy whatever type of pie that you'll undoubtedly be eating.

    Portland

It would very much appear so.

    Portland

Hey! Remember me? Just sitting here on the MAX right now. There's nothing quite like spending some time on a city where the hills and trees are taller, but it otherwise rather similar to home. Looking forward to seeing all the new and old faces at Bricks Cascade!
  16. Welcome to the 25+ club, man. Have an awesome birthday!

    Cascade

I can't believe it's been a year already. Look forward you seeing you there!
  18. Unfortunately, since you are not the topic starter, this instance of revival is not allowed. From the FCM Rules: Topic closed.
  19. This is a nice little intro that you have here, KopakaFan116. I'm glad that in most of the voice over, there is some inflection and it wasn't too monotone. The title card was well-made as well. Only thing I can suggest here is to turn up the mic or speak a little louder into it so that the music doesn't muffle the words. I think speaking louder will also make your voice overs even less monotone and more engaging. Also, there were some background noises in some parts (like at 1:40), but they weren't prevalent. Small things. I hope you decide to pursue this project further!
  20. I know Krayzikk already talked to you all (thanks, Krayzikk!) but this needs to be reiterated I think: please try to be better about the off-topic tangents and excessive one word posts. This isn't Skype. The forum staff haven't been able to maintain the greatest presence in the last couple months, but we're still watching (just that in most cases, it's after the fact). Thanks! (also s/o to the rest of the BZPRPG staff for holding things together!)
  21. This is a great project that you and the team has been working on. I love the simple and consistent style (even if some of the models low-poly, they look good. That's what matters). I also appreciate that there's isn't too much complexity gameplay-wise. I mention that because some players may ask for that later on (if they haven't already). Don't give in! Don't make a MNOG-esque game complex. I know MNOG3D is on hiatus currently but I hope you all can find the time and the interest to start it back up once Life starts to lighten up. Best of luck!

    Brick Fiesta

I've been to Brick Fiesta twice, and I plan on going again this year! The first year was the best, IMO, because it was in Austin and I feel that the venue there was the most fun (thanks to the many things to check out and do outside of the convention). Since it's going to be in Austin again this year, I'm hoping that this will be the best and biggest Fiesta yet. The best way I can describe it is that it's like all the pictures you see of Brickfair VA or BrickCon, but the venue's going to be smaller (so I guess more like Cascade or the newer cons). Less MOCs and less vendors (though if this would be your first LEGO con experience I think that's perfect. Brickfair VA was my first and it was kind of overwhelming). I think the key question to consider is how interested you are in seeing many MOCs in person and interested you are in buying custom pieces and other cool stuff from vendors. Not to mention the free sets (can't forget about those!) For the two times I was able to attend (Austin and Dallas), I loved the MOCs and displays. Kevin Hinkle was also there (both times), hosting a panel for AFOLs to ask all sort of wonderful questions (monorail?). Here's a short wrap-up post with pictures you want an idea of what kind of MOCs to expect. I talked about it on a BZPowercast episode too, but I'm not gonna dig around to find that -- I basically said what I just wrote here I think. I'll be honest though: I mostly go to LEGO cons just to hang with people like DeeVee, Nukaya, Black Six, etc. I'm going to Brick Fiesta this year mostly because it's only like 15 minutes away. Overall, it's no Brickfair VA, but Fiesta is a decent con. I'd recommend attending.
  23. Congratulations Veef! I hope the first few months aren't too challenging for you. Best of luck!
  24. I've been watching the numbers the last few months and was astonished to see how quickly the member count was rising. This is quite an achievement, and clearly shows that the forums aren't stagnant.
