  1. IC: Ra’lhen – Cemetery The sun gave a deep red glow as it began to converge with the western horizon. During this time of day, the shadows of the stone that sat before Ra’lhen were so elongated that they quadrupled the height of the sculpture. No headstone’s design came close to the wonder that towered over Hafu’s resting place. What stood, likely defiantly, before Ra’lhen was an ornate sculpture of the late carver, bore with a skillful precision that no being with any claim to culture could look upon without awe. Veins pumped along with biceps of the Matoran’s humongous arms. Dents and scratches the side of cloth strands decorated the statues noble Kanohi Ruru, dulled just enough from nature that Ra’lhen could that tell that they had once been much more defined, and were clearly intentional. The level of detail even extended to the pickaxe that the Po-Matoran held before him with both hands, orienting the pickaxe towards the ground the same way that most guards with hold a sword. The ends, despite being exposed to the elements for who knows how long, looked sharp enough to pose some practical use in an Onu-Wahi mine. Ra’lhen finally looked back at the Ruru, and the eyes that sat behind it. In typical Hafu fashion that even Ra’lhen remembered from his days before he became a Toa, the master carver had his head tilted slightly upwards, as if he was looking above the heads of most Matoran. The eyes despite being of inorganic rock, had a life to them that spoke of pride, but also of kindness and bravery. Ra’lhen then cocked his head, wondering how a sculptor was even able to envision that without a live reference to work off of. On the pedestal that Hafu stood upon, there was an inscription. Ra’lhen looked down to read it, but found that his vision seemed to be timorous, or maybe just tired. Actually, they felt a little wet. Kneeling to one knee, Ra’lhen blinked twice to read the inscription. “Here lies Hafu, taken by the shadows all too soon, but his works will watch over Po-Koro forever” A wide smile stretched Ra’lhen face as his throat swelled and his cheeks began to dampen. The Toa couldn’t help but give a rough, staggered chuckle. “This… beautiful tribute to Hafu… I engendered this,” Ra’lhen wheezed softly before his tone turned icy, “Go me” Ra’lhen then hung his head and stifled two sobs. “I’m so sorry, carver. My duty was to protect you, but you became one of many whom I’ve failed” OOC: feel free to bug Ra'lhen if you want. We can mope together! Also, credit to Ghosthands for the inscription.
  2. IC: Wokiya – Ta-Koro Hospital “I’ll take one more piece,” Wokiya said, bouncing back into a cheerful disposition, “I really should get going though. The sooner I can show the rest of Mata Nui’s residents eyewitness testimonies of the horrors that took place here, the sooner other villages may send us their sympathies, and donations” After finishing the cake, she rose from her chair and smiled warmly to the two Toa. “You two have been great hosts, and great eyewitnesses. Your stories need to be heard,” Wokiya said, “Is there anything you wanna know of me before I go?”
  3. Congratulations to Ghosthands and Krayzikk! You all have been around for so long and are so knowledgeable that you were close to being staff anyway. Basically, just keep doing what you're doing, but more! Also welcome back Friar. I knew you wouldn't be gone forever. And EW, you're gone, but still kinda here actually. At any rate, thanks for sticking around. I'm glad to see everyone excited for the new chapter! Let's keep this enthusiasm going.
  4. IC: Wokiya – Ta-Koro Hospital But we weren’t the ones to let the milk spill. Had there been adequate security in the first place, we wouldn’t have had all these crimes today to begin with, Wokiya snarked in her head. She dared not speak to the Skakdi this way though. Being less oppositional – while requiring a lot of effort on her part – did come easier when faced against a Skakdi. “I got nothin’,” Wokiya answered, “Sorry”

    I'm a Dad!

Well, it wouldn't have been very considerate of me to make a Tomodachi Life reference at first, now would it? (yeah, it was a 50/50 chance. Erred on a the side of caution) Congrats all the same.

    I'm a Dad!

Nooo come back! Congratulations though! It looks like things are really on track for you!
  7. MNOLG 2 and VNOG MNOLG 2 I might set aside enough time (and patience) to finish, but VNOG? Criss-crossing that entire island for every little quest? Forget about it.
  8. IC: Wokiya – Ta-Koro Hospital “I can’t say that I have,” Wokiya replied. “Did something happen there?” Wokiya doubted that the Suva had any connection to the Piraka attack, but she was curious. To her, the Suva was just a reverent landmark.
  9. In front of their computers. With their eyes reading these words. (including yours!)
  10. Have fun! I had an amazing time last year, and considering you all are getting an extra day this year.... yeah I'm kinda jealous.
  11. I voted for entry 7 again. I really love entries 4 and 10, but entry 7 just looks the most... right (which I know is odd considering this is art we're talking about and what can really be 'right'?) I dunno. #7's just my favorite.
  12. I had considered starting this on my membership anniversary, but decided that no one really does these anymore. This is why I'm not in the stock market. Anyway, you know the drill? What is something you've always wanted to know about me? Ask away!
  13. 1) Yes! 2) I am nowhere near a giraffe, so it makes no sound. 3) Have you not heard? It was my understanding that everyone had heard.
  14. Most people might guess Bionicle RPG, but Fan Created Media is still kinda my baby and I would make it a point to visit it first (I helped found half of it!) Bionicle RPG would be a very close second.
  15. IC: Wokiya – Ta-Koro Hospital Wokiya smiled at the Toa’s wit. She then looked back to Bohrei. “So Bohrei, I didn't properly introduce myself. I'm Wokiya, a reporter for the Mata Nui Daily. What exactly would you like to know?”
  16. Nice! You're definitely a better organizer than I am! I'm glad to see you're getting settled in and finding places for your collections.
  17. I sometimes count sheep, but dream? No sir. I don't know. Have I? (Well, maybe if you ask nicely...)
  18. IC: Wokiya - Ta-Koro Hospital The Ga-Matoran looked up and down the Onu-Skakdi quizzically, and then squinted her left eye, a tick that also meant distrust. At first, Wokiya had feared that this one had come to kick her out. But as she looked at the visitor, Wokiya calmed down and took a more logical path of reasoning. "I was just about to leave, but I suppose I can stay a bit," Wokiya said, "This isn't my room though, so I don't have the final say" She looked towards Mekana.

    Spaceship!

I definitely like the detail of everything in here, especially the lighting for Benny himself. The bigger planet behind him makes for excellent contrast as well. The space background also works since it doesn't blend into Benny. It perhaps could have been darker, but honestly, Benny was the first thing I noticed so I can hardly say it's an issue. Awesome work! I expect for this to get lots of bids.
  20. This is a nice little generator you have, Akavakaku. When I'm RPing in the BZPRPG, I typically just recycle names I've been using for the last 10+ years, but otherwise, I could see this being useful for those wanting to create new characters on the fly in the RPG forum. I also have nothing but praise for the 50/50 gender ratio. Nice work!
  21. Six years already. Time flies, huh? Congrats on the tenure, Gatanui! I'm glad you're really liking what you're doing now.
  22. When I joined BZPower, I twelve years old. And today marks the twelfth anniversary of that late night decision (I had joined shortly after midnight after my folks were asleep. Still remember that, lol) to join the site I had been lurking for so long. Had it not been for this site, I honestly cannot imagine what kind of person I would have become. It was BZPower that formally introduced me to the glorious geek culture, and made me feel like that was an okay culture to be a part of (actually, it made me feel like it was the best culture to be a part of). All the best to both the veterans and the newbies. I still can't believe I've been a member of this community for almost as long as I had been alive when I joined.
  23. These are some really good performances you're rolling out, Oroki. I especially like #7, very varied and it keeps my attention. Can't wait to hear your future works. You certainly have your work cut out for you!

    RTX Pictures

I know right... but I suppose it could have been a lot worse. And hey, if you're around next year I'm all for meeting up & hanging out at RTX.
  25. I used to have a common theme of scheming with a side of dubious/subversive personalities, but that was awhile ago back when villains were my MO. Now, I honestly can't think of any common archetypes that my characters share. If there's anyone who can, then feel free to point them out.
