  1. Those are great, perfectly swashbuckling! Thank ye, Jack!

Now, having just freed myself from the grasp of Deathly Hallows -- yep, finished it, tantalizing read -- I figured the lot of us could p'raps get back on topic. Although, as it seems, by the sheer amount of supporters of that particular direction, I'll be writin' somethin' that includes, in one way or another, somethin' piratey. Aye, that's the plan.

Suggestions and debate still be most welcome, though, but keep it human, or ye'll all be keelhauled.

  2. Not an unlikely suggestion, which inevitably leads directly to the fact that my sign-off is, in obvious fact, not without total and utter correctness.

And furthermore, any written, as in 'not yet written' work, takes unquestionable priority over any proposed sort of game for the time being, which is now.

    Savvy?

  3. You win.

On the subject of death, take a look at the MNOG -- Jala states he lost many warriors at the Tren Krom Break and the North March, with Kopeke fearing the latter ones may've been led into the ice by Makuta. So while death was not shown there, it was certainly indicated.

    What entry's next? :P

  4. Funny thing is, without Legoland, Billund would be a practically dead town -- most people who live are in some way affiliated with LEGO. :) Glad to hear it's a popular place, that means activity and life, which should be good.

And I'm savagely drooling over those news of the complicated sets! Count on me in supporting LEGO's direction that way!

  5. Love your mask names -- not in the least because I fully agree with your reasoning behind them. Being a bit of a Tolkien / linguistic fan (freak) myself, I always take the time needed to make a fictive name fit the mood and occasion. Just as those up there do. ^_^

Especially Tanau and Araho are delicious!

  6. We all have a choice, even if we are brainwashed, threatened, or forced. I can see where the person is coming from, yet I am certain he has not discussed these things thoroughly with his brother, nor with his parents; that is where the problem should be solved.

An interesting thought, p'raps -- which is more painful:

    A. Being physically hurt, bullied, and looked down upon by a small group of individuals who claim their opinions are superior to your own.

    B. Being bereaved of what you love, in this case, an intriguing, mind-challenging series of stories and models, so as to avoid being attacked by thoughtless persons.

Not an easy decision, and if this person's brother is becoming a reclusive due to his hobbies, that is a subject to take up in their family. But living in fear of threats and and violence will only serve to further said matters, and only the person involved can redeem himself. Believe me -- I did that.

    Complicated indeed.

  7. Very nice titles, Greg, sounds promising! Although, I'm wondering, is there still time for a large enough increase in book sales to convince Scholastic to add another book to the 2008 schedule? And have you heard any word of how the recent books have been selling? Most curious...

BTW, sorry 'bout the last PM convo some time ago being cut off -- I think my last reply got lost in the server.

  8. To add to my replies to bones' post above (hope ya don't mind :P ), I don't see why the TFBGS (traveling far by going slow) skill could not be worked into a story. Assuming Greg even has space for it, which I personally doubt, the intention of the MNOG creators are not needed. Greg could either come up with his own reason for it, or simply leave any deeper messages out. Besides, it is official, so why not? ^_^
