  1. Today be me birthday! Had a quiet, relaxing day with my parents 'n' grandparents after that terrific chemistry exam -- got a 10, which I believe equals a B. Second highest grade anyway, so I'm flabbergasted! Lotsa nice presents, too. No LEGO, yet plenty o' moolah to buy it with -- shall be saving it for my trip to Legoland in a few weeks. Just a German exam left, then 'tis SUMMER! And to me friends, I love y'all! -Ikk

    Inactivity

To whom it may concern -- there are 11 days of exams left, and my schedule is somewhat crammed. Come July, things should ease up, so until that, please excuse any late replies and lack of activity. My outer life needs priority. Thank you for your time. -Ikk
  3. Love your mask names -- not in the least because I fully agree with your reasoning behind them. Being a bit of a Tolkien / linguistic fan (freak) myself, I always take the time needed to make a fictive name fit the mood and occasion. Just as those up there do. Especially Tanau and Araho are delicious! -Ikk
  4. Don't you just love the MNOG? Not just playing it -- there are so many clues to decipher, so many gorgeous little details, and a LOT of stuff to recreate, MOC-wise. Of course, building Matoran from this game is always a fun thing, but it's a problem if they don't look quite right. Tamaru just looks best with lime green legs, Makuta is at his greatest with complete body infection (*nudge nudge*), and then there's Takua. I won't bother listing all the versions of Takua we've seen throughout the years -- but no matter how you build him, he'll still need something to look perfect. Guessed what I'm getting at yet? Of course you did! The rucksack! Now, my version maybe not be a 100% accurate to the MNOG version, contrary to my ramblings before. But what it lacks in authenticity, it makes up for with versatility! Now, ye behold -- Parts needed to build this awesome li'l critter Step one Step Two Step Three Step f-- oh, wait, it's already done and ready for use! Ya want one? Rucksack parteh! And all that just because the word 'rucksack' sounds so much better than its cousin 'backpack' -Ikk
  5. Almost fell asleep outside in the backyard, simply watching the flickering fires and its dancing shadows. Above were the glowingly dark blue sky behind soft clouds, and all was serene and quiet. Really brought forth memories just lying there... That's what summer is. -Ikk
  6. High five to BR and to you. Now, spend that thinking time... thinking. -Ikk
  7. Ain't Tohunga just the greatest? I'm personally contemplating building all 39 or so MNOGHunga, what with the 50+ ones I have... but we'll see. [/braggin'] And best of luck with your exams. Mine are not nearly as tough, but then again, neither am I. I'm sure you'll do great! -Ikk
  8. I'll be watching At World's End tomorrow morning for the second time -- first time ever I've watched a movie twice while it was in theathers! Furthermore, I am, like last time, watching it in the cinema with the supposedly largest screen in all of Northen Europe -- the Imperial. I don't know if that's true, but it sure is big, and seeing any movie there rocks. Just gonna kill some time while waiting for my Danish exam this Thursday. What with the terrific weather here, I'll just walk in to the cinema; a 30-minutes' walk underneath the baking sun is the best way to enjoy summer, aside from ice cream. And I still miss school. -Ikk

    Well Then.

This friggin' crazy. I miss school already! I need to watch AWE again. And again, and again, and again. Puh-leese? -Ikk

    Over

No more school. Just four exams in June. Otherwise, nothing 'til August. Hooray. -Ikk
  11. A yey and a toast to Jack Sparrow's story never ending! -Ikk
  12. So, after watching At World's End, Pirates of the Caribbean has replaced BIONICLE as my favorite fictive universe. Not to say my interest in BIONICLE is wading, quite the contrary; I feel this year's story and sets has bought back a lot of the creativity, mood, and potential that I was sorely missing in 2006. Especially the underwater-themed series of 2007 -- BIONICLE, Aqua Raiders -- gives room for a vast amount of MOCing / building when having just recently watched the Flying Dutchman's sea creature crew. Already I miss the LEGO Pirates series of yesteryear, but thankfully several of the best -- Red Beard Runner, Enchanted Island, and Armada Flagship, just to mention a few, are in my posession. Watching AWE deeply inspired me to start playing around with some of these old sets, and who knows, I may just be able to gain a few more through lucky means! But enough of LEGO; exams are coming up this June, and with Danish, English, German, and Chemistry -- the latter taking place June 21, my birthday! -- I am not too worried. I will need to read over a lot of the subjects we have worked with this year, and try to form some sort of coherent understand, but I got a month for that. Last three school days of this year are quite absurd -- three hours Wednesday and Thursday, and one hour Friday. But hey, why not, when we aren't really doing anything too important these last days, I may as well just be there to give a proper goodbye to the friends I won't be seeing again until August. Need to finish my last speck of homework, as well, which is a math assignment. I'll work it in somewhere, somehow. Back to the subject of Pirates, I definitely need to watch AWE again, and as soon as at all possible -- hopefully, this Saturday. You'll miss some of the big picture when seeing it the first time, and there are some details I'd like to get cleared up -- and of course, it's just plain awesome! Barbossa really steals the picture (as well as some maps), Jack is at his best, maddeningly, cunningly, and heroicly. If you have not seen this one yet, or worse, have not seen any POTC movie, ever, go do so the second you get the chance. There never was a pirate like Captain Jack Sparrow, and there never was a trilogy like POTC. And of course, who would willingly miss Keith Richards starring as Captain Teague, Jack's father?! Ah well, hoping it see it again at first coming chance; and someday, I'll need to get my hands on a bottle of that Tortuga Rum -- see previous entry for that. But currently, I'm just thoroughly enjoying the AWE soundtrack. With tracks like Up Is Down, What Shall We Die For, and Drink Up Me Hearties, it'll stick in your heart as long as you live! Beckett: "And you can do all that?" Jack: "You may threaten me, but you may never insult me! Who am I? (Beckett looks confused) Jack: "... 'm Cap'n Jack Sparrow!" (Booya, Tesseract ) -Ikk

    Pm I Got Today

We all have a choice, even if we are brainwashed, threatened, or forced. I can see where the person is coming from, yet I am certain he has not discussed these things thoroughly with his brother, nor with his parents; that is where the problem should be solved. An interesting thought, p'raps -- which is more painful: A. Being physically hurt, bullied, and looked down upon by a small group of individuals who claim their opinions are superior to your own. B. Being bereaved of what you love, in this case, an intriguing, mind-challenging series of stories and models, so as to avoid being attacked by thoughtless persons. Not an easy decision, and if this person's brother is becoming a reclusive due to his hobbies, that is a subject to take up in their family. But living in fear of threats and and violence will only serve to further said matters, and only the person involved can redeem himself. Believe me -- I did that. Complicated indeed. -Ikk

    It's A Map!

Well, no major rips, cuts, or any other damage of the like... readable, as well, but minor marks and such don't matter. -Ikk

    2008 Book Schedule

Very nice titles, Greg, sounds promising! Although, I'm wondering, is there still time for a large enough increase in book sales to convince Scholastic to add another book to the 2008 schedule? And have you heard any word of how the recent books have been selling? Most curious... BTW, sorry 'bout the last PM convo some time ago being cut off -- I think my last reply got lost in the server. -Ikk
