  1. I'm going to agree with Nikira here. The book sounds pretty good, even with its anti-Christian themes, but I couldn't get into it. I've tried again and again, but I can never finish it.

And I'm not one of those kids who reads a book or two a year. I read a lot. I read hundreds of books a year. And yet, The Golden Compass is the one of the very few that I can't get into. :|

  2. I think it has something to do with what version of Windows you're running, if anyone knows what I'm trying to say :P

    I know what you're trying to say ... I think. :P

Problem is, I don't know of any versions that can only handle up to 3GB of memory. I always thought it was 2GB, 4GB, and 64GB.

  3. If your computer is claiming you only have 3GB, it may mean that your system can only recognize up to that amount of space. So no matter how much you put in, it'll only recognize 3GB of it.

I may be wrong, because I'm definitely not a computer expert, but that's what I know, so I'm just puttin' it out there. :)

  4. Hey, I was going to say this in the PM you sent me but I'll kill two birds with one stone so everyone else can hear this:

I don't mind judging, and I think this is a cool idea to do with friends, but I hope you are aware this is sort of like what someone did once with this art voting, to see who was "the best". I'm not very fond of this, because every writer has their own style. You could judge a story on the plot, or the writing talent, or the characterization...it's very hard to judge this sort of stuff, because when someone is good in one thing, another person may be better in another.

This is more like a contest, so that's okay, I just wanted to state that.

Lady K totally has to be a judge. Not just because I know she's a great reviewer, but look at that post! She's obviously very smart!

BTW, awesome title, NM. Very epic. B)

And in response to your post, Lady K, I'm not taking this as a serious "who's the best" sort of contest. Personally, I'm really proud of the story I wrote, and I don't really care if I win or not. To me, this is all done in fun, so ... yeah. This is just a friendly rivalry thing for me. :)
