We also added Marcum and still have Gallardo. Our rotation looks a lot better than it has in the past few years (and most analysts seem to think that we now boast one of the best rotations in the NL Central and even in the entire NL, outside of Philly of course). Not to mention we still have the bats to do damage offensively (Fielder, Braun, Hart, and McGehee when he's feeling it). We are positioned to be more than just "semi-suckey" this upcoming season. And trust me, we do care up here. You should have seen my uncle's face yesterday when I told him we pulled in Grienke. He was this close to jumping out of his seat with joy. I personally can't wait to get to some games next season.

Our member population isn't exactly the highest these days so the number of members wouldn't be a much of a factor. Our old, decrepit server may be though. That said, we will never implement it due to high difficulty of moderation.

It's 18 here right now. With freezing rain and snow forecasted just in time for me to drive up to my aunt's for Thanksgiving break.

Yes. Seriously, my old high school would never close unless it was greater than 6 inches of snow falling and it had to be overnight and continuing to snow into the morning. My university has only closed once for snow and that was last year after a record setting blizzard where the governor declared a state of emergency for most of the state and it was mandated that all state run institutions had to close in affected areas.

He also posted in late October. Jeez, where have you been.

Hah! An inch of snow? That's like, not even enough to stop people from driving 10 over the speed limit here. Call me when you get a real amount of snow (I say as we have yet to have a significant snow fall this year).

Completely agree on the watered down npc interactions. I don't like that it boiled down to "do I be good or evil or just stupid to them." I feel almost like that may have been where they were going to shoehorn in Kinect functionality and it wasn't quite coming together so they scrapped it at the last moment for this instead. Otherwise I generally find the game enjoyable. I don't mind the leveling system too much, and it does throw some tough choices at you after you become king (assuming you hadn't fully abused the economy through the property market yet). I haven't totally beaten it yet, but I'm working my way there.

What do they win?

It would be a lot more splintered and fractured than it was/is. Look, BZP's no advertising rules didn't prevent other sites from cropping up or existing. I participated in a handful of smaller forums from time to time and they all did fairly well despite BZP's rules. Ultimately though there is always going to be that one site in a fanbase/community with tons of smaller ones. It just happens that in Bionicle fanbase's case that the smaller forums rarely top 100 members because the Bionicle fanbase just isn't that large. BZPower's rules did help keep discussion focused in a singular place for better or for worse, whether you agree with the rule or not.

I say this every time someone mentions Tie Fighter. That game was, and is still, amazing.

I think there's a lot of strategy that goes into baseball that someone who doesn't follow it regularly wouldn't notice and in turn maybe wouldn't enjoy it is as much. I don't know, I used to feel the same way, but once I started paying more attention I got into it a little more. I still don't really care that much about the playoffs if my team isn't there (which is 99% of the time) but I enjoy watching the home team and going to games and rooting them on. Oh, and sports aren't boring.

Tornado cells can often be very isolated storms. It doesn't have to be raining or even gusty by you and yet there could be a tornado spinning up 2 miles away.

The wind killed my umbrella when I walked to class today. Also super killed my face cause it's only 42* with a wind chill of 32* while it's raining. What a terrible day.
