  1. And now I'm rereading the old Kini-Nui topic. Man, I'm never gonna get to make that kind of epic, story-driven, emotionally charged posts, am I? T_T
  2. (several thread-hops and one misplaced post later...) Okay, I just took a stroll through the archives and stumbled upon Emotia's death. You guys are seriously messed up, y'know that? *is very much not kidding about this* ...I feel the need to have Joskander snap a few necks right now. Seriously.
  3. EDIT: wait dangit I knew something weird was up here ignore this post please
  4. I would have something constructive to add to this thread, but I'm too busy laughing hysterically and shaking my head. XD
  5. EDIT: Yeah, what he said. By the way, would the winner of this contest be provided with relevant info on Stannis's history and prior interactions with certain characters if they become relevant again, or would we have to do all that research ourselves for the contest?
  6. Ooh, a chance to be relevant! I'd probably screw up horribly, but I might as well check this out...
  7. So, random thing. I was looking through some old Expanded Multiverse stuff and I couldn't help thinking, "Hey, these guys look kinda cool." Would any of the species in that link be usable for characters in the RPG? Like, say, the Levoctus?
  8. Sure you can put them out. Just stuff them in a drawer.
  9. Why lightbulbs? Don't lightstones work just as well, if not better?
  10. IC: Joskander gasped in pain as he rolled onto his side, his muscles seizing up as the wound on his abdomen continued its protest. The Skakdi moved as well, preparing his axe for a swing- but not at him. Out of the corner of his eye, the Toa noticed another figure running towards them. One of his teammates- the Toa of Ice. Oh, no. As fast as his injuries would allow him, Joskander raised his free hand and let loose with the largest gust of wind he was able to muster on a split-second basis. He didn't expect it to do much; all he needed was a distraction.
  11. The first rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club.
  12. Toss-up between four and five for me. I went with five in the end, though, mostly because the Lurker is really just a well-made critter in the end (albeit one of the best-made critters I've ever seen).
  13. IC: Joskander grunted as he hit the snow. Again. Muttering a zhongwen curse learned during one of his earlier travels, he tried to push himself to his knees, only for a jolt of pain from his injured ribcage to cause his arms to give out.
  14. IC: Joskander let out a short gasp of pain as laser fire and a heavy shield slammed into his torso, piercing his armor and cutting into the flesh beneath. The momentum his Kanohi had given him, however, was enough to keep him moving even as his legs faltered, and his injured body continued towards the Skakdi. OOC: So yeah. That hurt (a lot, in fact), but he's still moving. Sorry if I'm stretching things at this point; if it helps, the tackle won't be nearly as strong as it would've been if not for the counterattack.
  15. Yeah, I got the message the first time. Just a body slam, no ORAORAORAORAORA-ing. And Joskander's not avoiding anything, just turning slightly to compensate for his opponent moving slightly, so I figured that was within the range of allowable Kakama uses. I can still change it, though, if that's too much of a stretch.
  16. That sounds vaguely like me, although I'm not entirely certain what I might have done to prompt any such whispers. I have been using Joskander's Kakama offensively, though, so I might've screwed up somewhere.
  17. I agree! The Olmak, and 2008 Takanuva's Avohkii to an extent, were huge masks and that made them not as useful if you are not building a titan. Also, all of the other legendary masks were small, normal sized masks. The Vahi didn't even have a forehead! Yeah, but the Mask of Creation's got a freaking crown on it! It's grand in all but size, and that should be fixed! :| ...seriously, though, I kinda feel like it being disproportionately big would actually fit the design. I get what you mean with the Vahi and Ignika, but...
  18. IC: Is... is he actually trying to trip me? Joskander thought. I've got a Kakama, man, I'm prepared for that sort of thing. Exploiting his mask-granted reflexes, he corrected his course slightly to adjust for the Skakdi's change in position and charged on. OOC: Yeah, I figure the position Joskander's running from lets him actually see where he's going. That sort of thing's kinda important to him, y'know. Anyways, he's got a Kakama on, so I figure he'd probably be within melee range now? Probably? RPG time is kinda hard to judge sometimes.
  19. My main issue with the current design is that it just seems a bit too, I dunno, small.
  20. I have a good (well, better) feeling about future Bionicle material now. Really digging the general theme of the concepts.
  21. ...I had a surprise encounter with an old friend once, but it didn't end nearly as well. You're a lucky guy.
  22. IC: Joskander grunted as he pulled his face free of the snow. Yeah, that went about as expected, he thought, preparing to take off running again. Right, did I at least hit the Skakdi? ...no, he isn't even paying attention to me, too busy taunting the other guy. I can work with that. The Toa of Air reactivated his Kakama again and took off at the highest speed he could muster, bracing himself for a high-speed shoulder-first body slam. OOC: Stubborn Joskander is stubborn.
  23. You could always check Youtube for some of the old stuff.
  24. IC: Joskander blinked as the enemy Skakdi reacted to the three-pronged attack, quickly firing off a few laser bursts as he shoved his injured partner away. Beams of energy lanced through the air, nearly grazing the Le-Toa's shoulder as he made a Kakama-assisted sidestep- -and promptly tripped over a lump of ice at superspeed. Welp. His mask-enhanced reflexes kicking in, Joskander instinctively lashed out at the Skakdi with his chain even as he fell sideways into the snow, channeling his elemental powers through it to give it an extra kick if it reached its target. OOC: Yeah, that should give you an idea of how fights with this guy usually go. Clumsy Le-Toa is clumsy.
