    wow i'm blogging like crazy about pokemon of all things hahahahahaha i am a nerd and have no life
     
    So, as mentioned in my last entry, I was able to nab a shiny Eevee.
     
    However, now I have absolutely no idea what to do with it. It's stats are around the board and it's nature isn't of much help. So I need some suggestions of what to evolve the little guy into. I realize that I don't have to use him to battle or anything like that, but I still want to evolve him into something that makes the best use of his stats while looking swaggin'. So here's some info on him:
     
    IVs (31s are known for sure, others are estimated using an IV calculator):
    HP: 31
    Attack: ~30
    Defense: ~21
    Sp. Attack: ~28
    Sp. Defense: 31
    Speed: ~5
     
    Nature: Brave (+attack, -speed)
     
    He has no EVs (I'll Super Train him eventually) and is level 30.
     
    I kind of want to evolve him into something where he looks rad but is still useful, but the attack-centric evolutions (Flareon and Leafeon) don't have great shinies. He has an alright special stat so I've been leaning towards Vaporeon, but I'm looking for suggestions.

    Shiny Pokemon!

    So I was able to chain for another shiny yesterday, this time a Flabébé (click for pic) which I named Flora. I know the pic is of a Floette but it's a lot easier to tell that Floette is shiny.
     
    That's in addition to my shiny Lucario (click again), Yellowjacket. Two shiny Pokemon! I am content.
     
    Thinking about chaining for a Skiddo next? Suggestions are welcome.

    Life Update

    Okay, so just a quick update about how things are going with me, because it's been a long few days. Clearly, there's the topic of my last blog post. It hit me pretty hard, but I've been feeling better as of late. I'm not gonna discuss it here because a. I don't really want to and b. there's not much to say.
     
    It's been a while since I posted the "Love" blog post, and a lot has happened since then. Quick recap: early this year, I fell in love with someone and was confused as to whether she shared my feelings or not. Turns out that she did, and we've both acknowledged that we love each other. We're not "dating" as such right now; on my part, I think that's because I'm sort of uncomfortable with actually going into a legit relationship, and plus a lot is going on in my life with school and extra-curriculars. However, I enjoy having someone that I love and that I know loves me. It's nice having a special person. =D
     
    School has ramped up. I'm taking two AP classes with another next semester, two Honors classes, and a regular class. Five classes sounds relaxing but as of late I've found myself swamped with homework and studying, even though it's only the third week of school. I feel like we should have been eased into school a little bit more? So the stress has been very present in my mind and it hasn't been particularly fun.
     
    On the gaming side of things, I finally got my dream UNUSUAL in Team Fortress 2 this summer: a Sulphurous Western Wear. It may not seem like much, but I like it quite a lot, and it goes along with my Professional Killstreak Southern Hospitality quite well (it's Manndarin/Hypno Beam). In terms of the VICTORY RUN... I hit a bit of a problem. I have completed the game on Normal difficulty with every ship except for three: the Type C for Mantis, Zoltan, and Stealth Ships, which IMO are the most broken ships in the game. So I've taken a bit of a break from that and have yet to return to it. I bought Skyrim and its DLC during the Steam Summer Sale. SO MANY QUESTS SO LITTLE TIME it's a very fulfilling and fun game though, despite having a few flaws.
     
    And finally, Pokemon. Yesterday, I finally caught my first SHINY POKEMON! It's a shiny Riolu, which has 3 perfect IVs because I caught it in the wild (it's part of the Undiscovered Egg group). I was able to get it through the PokeRadar; I chained Riolu up to 40 and got a shiny patch after a few resets of the Radar. It was tedious but totally worth it. I don't get why shiny Riolu/Lucario gets so much hate; I quite like them.

    I don't know how to comprehend the passing of a man who touched so many lives, including my own. I know I'm just one of a litany of people crying out in sorrow, but he and his work are important to me personally. Rest in peace, my captain.
     
    And please if you suffer from depression please talk to someone. Mine is only one of many doors that are always open.

    So, finally, sophomore year is out of the way.
     
    Probably one of the most stressful years I've been through, but probably one of the most precious and generally happy years I've ever had. It had its ups and downs and was pretty eventful overall, both in terms of interactions with other people and self-discovery. I'm a different person than I was at the beginning of the year and I'm better off for it.
     
    More importantly, it means I can put my FTL: Faster Than Light VICTORY RUN into full gear. Meaning I'm going to try to beat the game on Normal difficulty with every ship in the game. So far, I've beaten it with:
     
    Kestrel Cruiser: Type A and B
    Engi Cruiser: Type A and B
    Federation Cruiser: Type A and B
    Zoltan Cruiser: Type A
    Stealth Cruiser: Type A and B
    Rock Cruiser: Type A and B
    Slug Cruiser: Type A
    Mantis Cruiser: Type A and B
    Crystal Cruiser: Type A and B
     
    I'm saving Type C's and the Lanius Cruisers until last because I have no idea how to play with that darned clone bay.
     
    I have too much time on my hands.

    Hey, BZP community. I know I haven't done much for you, but I need a little help.
     
    I'm in love with someone. I feel like I was meant to be with this person. I don't know exactly why I feel this way, but I do. But there's a few complications.
     
    I'm pretty sure the person is not romantically interested in me. We're incredibly good friends (maybe best friends?) and I am pretty sure that at one point she did have feelings for me. It might be my generally low self-esteem talking, but I think that she doesn't anymore, possibly because I didn't realize my feelings for her until it was too late. Which is disappointing, considering that I probably had a much better chance of being with her then than I do now. I don't even know if I'm what she's looking for in a person anymore.
     
    Also, I don't really know what I'd do if I was in a relationship with this person. I've never been in an actual relationship as such before, and to be honest it's a little scary. I've never been the best at expressing my emotions, and I'm afraid that I would not be able to properly do so even if I was in a relationship with her.

    Starbound

    I'm starting to really get into this game. It has a lot of things that I would like to see out of an adventure game, such as in-depth customization and exploration. Granted, it's not done yet, but the direction the developers seem to be taking it is awesome.
     
    Might do some fanart of my Glitch character, Gallant, once I reach tier 10. Stay tuned. :3

    Apart from that, Psych finally announced that this season will be their last. It's a little bittersweet: they should go out on top, but I'm sad one of my favorite TV shows is saying goodbye.
     
    This place is still staying Danger Music for the foreseeable future, though. =D

    TF2 Modeling

    So recently I've tried my hand at modeling in Blender. I'm working on creating a hat for Team Fortress 2 to submit through the Steam Workshop. Mainly because I want something sparkly to wear on my Engineer's head. And also because cash money.
     
    I've finished the model and I'm working on figuring out the best way to UV unwrap this thing.
     
    if I succeed, maybe, just maybe
     
    the engineer will finally have the trilby he deserves
     
    but probably not

    Summer school is bad. But it's a small price to pay for doing Orchestra and doubling up in math.
     
    Also, I haven't had the time to, you know, watch the news/read the news/get the news from controversial blog posts from BZP. That being said, I now have a pretty good idea of what's going on. I don't want to be part of any arguments (not here at least), so I'll just shut my trap.

    FTL and Allergies

    So I got FTL last weekend (right after I saw Into Darkness, which sort of makes sense). Pretty good game; I'm loving it so far. However, I'm finding getting the hang of it quite difficult, as I always come up short of supplies in one area or another when it counts. Also, I always get too emotionally attached to my crew. D:
     
    Anyways, my allergies kicked in recently. It's horrible. I can barely stay 5 minutes outside without suffering a huge sneeze attack. And all of this just happens to coincide with Finals Week. Which is really not great. :|

    Half Life

    So a few days ago I bought the entire Half Life series for $9.99 from the glorious Steam Winter Sale. This includes Half Life, Half Life: Source, Half Life: Opposing Force, Half Life: Blue Shift, Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode 1, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Half Life 2: Deathmatch, and Team Fortress Classic. Thanks Gabe. (I know I'm terrible for not playing these sooner, don't judge me.)
     
    Because I'm on winter break, I've been playing these almost non-stop. I'm already through the original Half Life and Opposing Force (both great games), and I'll be moving on to Blue Shift soon.
     
    I have a problem. Please halp. D:
     
    (Also, I bought Saints Row: the Third, Counterstrike: Global Offensive, and Universe Sandbox for under $30. Wooooo)

    I LOVE the OST from Portal 2. A very nice mix of techno and orchestra.
     
    Then again, most Valve games have good soundtracks, considering they have their own orchestra.
     
    So anyone else have a favorite video game soundtrack?
