  1. Only with special permission. They will be revealed after the polling is over.- 55555
  2. In some cases yes, in some cases no. Mostly no.But I know for certain that some judges have reviewed entries but are waiting to post the reviews until the judges are revealed, so that they won't give away their identity.- 55555
  3. Talked it over with Velox, the Chinese New Year is now allowed.Good luck on your entry.- 55555

Prices only go gents, that's the moral of this story. - 55555

  6. Thanks everyone! Thanks to the voters who got my MOC up there, thanks to the BBC staff for running the contest, and thanks to Kevin Hinkle and TLC for the prizes.Congrats DeeVee! And congrats to the other finalists. :)Rest assured that I will work more on The Batman.- 55555
  7. I remember your banners. Epic. - 55555
  8. I guess the reason why the news was posted is partly that, as you said, it´s the first project to reach 10 000 supporters, and partly that Minecraft is a highly popular game all around the world and in BZPower as well, so it´s understandable that this project deserves special attention because of what it is and because of the great support it´s encountering.~Gata. I believe the reason it was posted was because it looked like Lego was on board with it, and it was likely that sets would come from it.Speaking unofficially, I think future Cuusoo projects that seem likely to become sets will likewise become news.- 55555
  9. PG is below PG-13, so PG level stories are acceptable. PG-13 is a maximum.- 55555
  10. Thanks man! That dude from Spirited Away is epic, he usually crosses my mind whenever I'm thinking about big evil guys. I'm not sure, but I suspect the mix of animallistic-ness and sentient-ness in the bad guy was inspired by him.Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks! - 55555

    Rant Ideas

Rant about Bring Back Bionicle-ness. For or against. - 55555
  13. I think this would be the first to go. Bionicle is one of the best projects, if not the best, project that Lego has ever made, and it is the most extensive. Right now we are resorting to discussing other projects to keep the forums alive, but I think once Bionicle comes back, we may not even have the time or the server space to discuss other stuff in the wake of all the new Bionicle stuff. That's a matter of opinion, though. Even when BIONICLE was still around there were people here who hadn't enjoyed the sets or story for years. If BIONICLE were to come back, there would be some people who would be receptive to it and some who would continue to prefer older themes. It's possible that the influx of new members would drown out those members who saw BIONICLE as "just another theme", but that would depend heavily on a revived BIONICLE being as huge a phenomenon as it was when it first began, which IMO isn't a guarantee.BIONICLE was an amazing project in that it was a truly inspired and imaginative theme at a time when LEGO was not doing too well financially. But that doesn't make it their biggest or most influential project of all time. Ninjago has been an incredible hit with kids, just as BIONICLE was in 2001. LEGO City has been incredibly successful for years without even needing a strong story component. LEGO Star Wars helped to pave the road for BIONICLE by showing that there was a strong demand for heavily story-based themes. The thing I worry about is BIONICLE fans once again becoming insular and dismissing other themes as unimportant. I feel it was this idea that gave many fans the mistaken idea that BIONICLE was somehow more valuable than other LEGO themes and that TLG would suffer financially if they ended it. As it is, BIONICLE was groundbreaking, but once new ground has been broken, anything can grow or build on it-- not just the thing that originally broke the ground in the first place.Pretty much all Lego themes except Bionicle can be dismissed story-wise.- 55555

    The Best Idea

I would be afraid of mangling. Look at the HF TV show, mix that with the Bionicle movies, and we'd be in serious trouble. Or not, maybe it would be good. - 55555
  15. I like the glow in the dark, it highlights the white & black well.KUTGW man.- 55555
  16. Give it time, it hasn't even been a week. There's a lot of entries to go through and rate.Believe it or not, we should be ready with the public winner voting as soon as December 10th, the Judged Winner and the results of that poll will be posted together a few days after that. One of our judges has already gotten me his results, and the other judges all seem active and planning to meet my deadline.- 55555

    Finished Two Animations

The next John Lasseter! ...Or one of those random Korean animators who are so crazy and nameless. - 55555

    Why?

Get some tupperware, put a rubberband around it, flip it over, prop it open with a small stick, tie a string to the stick, and presto, live mouse trap. - 55555
  19. Yes, but you should keep in mind that the judges may be unfamiliar with your source material. Good point. 'Tis the season!- 55555
  20. I would say that the only way the length effects the judging is if the entry is too short for the content and crammed in, or too long for the content and spread out. It's possibly some members of our crack judging team may disagree, but I doubt it.Good luck gents.- 55555
  21. That story would be allowed, though possibly you would have to choose one specific theme to officially group it under when entering. Ill let Velox take this one. That's not really our department. You're more than welcome to do a religious themed story as long as it follows the overall BZP guideline: - 55555
  22. There would be great news for the front page.- 55555
  23. Great picks all around.Good luck in the coal mines, Eeko & Erebus!- 55555
