  1. Early last month, Michiel Wouters joined BZPower to share some Bionicle memorabilia that had rediscovered from their childhood: a water bottle and a drink cup from LEGOLAND Germany. After some sleuthing, it turns out the water bottle came from LEGOLAND too, and while Michiel is keeping that in their collection, the drink cup is now up for sale in the B/S/T forum. If you'd like to own this unique piece of Bionicle history, now's your chance!

  2. It's a new month and that means it's time for us to give away another LEGO set. Swim on over to the 2023 Member Raffle #5 for a chance to win LEGO Star Wars Buildable Figure 75523 Scarif Stormtrooper, straight from Rogue One. We'll be giving this away shortly after Memorial Day, aka the end of May, so before you break out your white pants make sure you enter. Who knows, you could be lucky like Lalajujunini, who won our April raffle!

  3. Earlier this week The LEGO Group announced that they and Novo Nordisk had entered into a partnership with European Energy. The energy company will use renewable energy and biogenic carbon dioxide to produce e-methanol, which in turn will be used to produce polypropylene, polyethylene, and potentially other plastics to move away from fossil fuels. The LEGO Group already uses polyethylene derived from sugarcane in a majority of cases, but this agreement could potentially see polypropylene, the plastic used in minifigure weapons and accessories, switch to a sustainable source. The first batches of e-methanol won't be delivered until 2024, so don't expect this to happen overnight, but it's still a great step in the right direction for the planet. Happy Earth Day!

It's time to call the results from BZPower's Best Bionicle Toa Bracket, Round 4. The people have voted, and the top Toa has been chosen. It is none other than 2004's Toa Lhikan! It was a very interesting bracket and I hope you all had fun following it. Read on for more insight, and stay tuned to BZPower for future Bionicle brackets. (I asked if y'all wanted more, and you said yes!)

  5. Now that we're back, we're back, and you can't stop me from streaming if you try! (Until I have to take a break due to real life in a couple weeks.) We successfully finished LEGO The Incredibles last week, getting 100% completion and all of the achievements, so it's time to head to another game. Come by the BZPower Twitch channel starting at 7:30 PM Eastern tonight to watch us play LEGO Jurassic World, where we'll begin by collecting the red bricks to give us bonuses to make the rest of the challenges less complex. I'm excited to be streaming again and to be hanging out with dinosaurs and our community!

  6. I really want to put all of these technical issues behind us and get back to our weekly videogame streams. I think we're almost there, and tonight I'll be heading over to the BZPower Twitch channel starting at 7:30 PM Eastern to take a stab at it again. We'll be playing more LEGO The Incredibles, with just a couple more levels to do and a handful of achievements standing in the way between 100% completion. With luck the audio will be clear and it'll be smooth sailing from here on out!

  7. There's a little under a week left to enter the Official SBC Contest 4: The Gift That Keeps On Giving! You have until Sunday, March 26th at 11:59 PM Eastern to build a Bionicle character out of primarily System parts, similar to the awesome Tahu and Takua Gift-With-Purchase set from earlier this year. The winner will receive a Trans-Clear Mask of Fire and there will be a random drawing for a Trans-Neon Green Skull Scorpio Mask, so there's no reason not to enter!

The final choice is upon us. Three rounds of votes have narrowed down our set of Toa to just three favorites. Left standing are Tahu Mata, 2003 Takanuva, and Lhikan. Who will get the top slot? Vote now in the forth round to help us determine the outcome. Meanwhile, read on for some thoughts on the results for the third round.

  9. We did it! Thanks to the entire Bionicle fan community's outpouring of support, the Bionicle: Toa Head Statue project has received ten thousand votes and will be considered in an upcoming LEGO Ideas review phase! Congratulations to yannickbuildsthings aka ToM Dracone for making an awesome build that brought us all together. Whatever happens next, we've shown that our passion for Bionicle is still strong, all these years later!

  10. It's been nearly two months since we last went live on the BZPower Twitch channel to play some videogames or do any streaming at all. I think most of our technical issues are behind us, so we'll be doing a test run tonight at 7:30 PM Eastern, hopping back into LEGO The Incredibles to pick up wherever it was that we last left off. There may be some hiccups as we adjust settings and make sure things are working properly, so please bear with us. Also, this unfortunately will not be a regular return to streaming, since BrickFair Fredericksburg will be keeping us busy the next two weeks. Still, we're excited to give it a go this evening!

  11. We've mentioned it a few times over the past year or so, but now it's really time to bust out all the stops! If you haven't visited LEGO Ideas to vote for the Bionicle: Toa Head Statue project, go do it now! Tell your friends to do it too! There's only 23 days left for it to get a little under six hundred votes and reach the goal of ten thousand supporters and be considered for release as an actual LEGO set! We love yannickbuildsthings (aka ToM Dracone on BZPower) and all of his great builds and art, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for this project! We may have gotten a Bionicle tribute set already this year, but wouldn't two tribute sets be even better?

  12. Now that we've all had time to enjoy and appreciate the Tahu and Takua Gift-With-Purchase set that released last month, it's your turn to break out the bricks and design something new! Tufi Piyufi has kicked off the Official SBC Contest 4: The Gift That Keeps On Giving! and is challenging members to take a Bionicle set and translate it into the Gift-With-Purchase style of Tahu and Takua. To make it easier to add a custom Kanohi and other details, we're allowing digital builds and custom stickers this time around! The winner of the contest will receive a Trans-Clear Mask of Fire, and one randomly-selected entrant will receive a Trans-Neon Green Skull Scorpio Mask, giving everyone a great reason to enter! The deadline is Sunday, March 26th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, so go get your brick on!

We have our semi-finalists for Round 3, after 119 votes. We're down to just nine Toa, so their numbers are dropping quickly, but we're that much closer to seeing who will be the top favorite. You can vote now for the third round, which will be running until mid-March. Meantime, you can see the results for the second round here, or read on for some of my insights.
