It just depends on how much time you want to devote to strategizing. The actual gameplay (PMing me your team's lineups for each game, drafting, trading, etc.) shouldn't take very long.

Well, hopefully this game won't take up too much of your free time. I tried to design it to maximize efficiency, so that it doesn't require too much of me or you, the players. But we'll see how it goes. Also, feel free to make your first pick, Portalfig. And Burnmad you have successfully drafted Tahu.

Awesome. Axonn is off the board. Now we wait for the rest of the teams to make their first picks, and then you can make your second pick.

So remember that one time that I said I was gone for good? When I made a melodramatic exit post commemorating all of you for your friendship? When I said that I was "signing out for the last time?" Well, I'm like Brett Favre, man. Or Michael Jordan. I just don't when to stay retired. Seriously, though, I am coming back one last time because, as it turns out, I have the free time available and because this is a game idea that I have been considering for a while now. So, without further ado allow me to introduce you to...B I O N I C L E C O M B A T L E A G U E OVERVIEWThis game is meant to imitate a fantasy sports experience. So, players will create their franchises, complete with logos and team colors, and then draft players into their franchise with a specific strategy in mind. They will then go through a regular season of games, playing each other team in the league once. This means that each team will have seven games in the regular season. The four teams with the best records will then play in the playoffs, tournament-style, where they will play a best-of-3 series against each opponent they face. The team that wins the playoffs will be named the BCL Champions! COMBATFirst, let's get some terminology cleared up. In this game, you are the owner of a team. The Bionicle (or BZPower) characters that play on your team are called 'players.' So, when I'm talking about you, I'm talking about owners. When I talk about the characters you control, I'm talking about 'players.' Hopefully, this will minimize confusion as you read the rules. Anyways, combat in this game is handled entirely by RNG (random number generation). If you look at the stats next to a player's name, you'll notice a box that has two numbers in it (e.g. [ +8 / +12 ]). These two numbers represent the potential point outputs a player can have. The number on the left is the minimum number of points a player can put out. The number on the right is the maximum number of points a player can put out. So, in the example provided, the player will put out anywhere from 8 points to 12 points per game. When a game is played, the owners of the two teams that are playing each other will PM me the lineups for their teams. Each team has a 7-man roster, but only 4 of those players are allowed to play per game. So, before a game, both of the owners will PM me the 4 players who are playing that particular game. Why mix up lineups? Why not just play the same 4 "best" players every game? Well, this is where weaknesses and affinities come in. Remember when I told you about the points, and how there is a minimum and a maximum for each player? Those numbers can be tampered with. Let's start with weaknesses. Let's say you have a player in your lineup who is weak against Fire. He faces an opposing lineup with two players who have an affinity for Fire. For each opposing player with an affinity for Fire, your player's point value will be affected by -1 to -3 points. So, your player could end up performing worse than his minimum point output. There are also affinities. Let's say you have three players on your team with a common affinity (in this example, Ice). Each player in your lineup with an affinity for Ice will be boosted +1 to +3 points per every other player in your lineup with an affinity for Ice. So, your players could end up performing better than their maximum potential output. This is why it is worth it to tinker with your lineups, so as to avoid having your weaknesses exploited by other teams, and to exploit other teams' weaknesses. In conclusion, I will use RNG and the aforementioned weaknesses and affinities to come up with point totals for each team. The team with the highest point total wins! In case of a tie, victory goes to the team that picked later on in the draft. SCHEDULEThere will be seven 'Game Days' in the regular season. On each Game Day there will be four games, with two teams playing in each game. Game Days will occur every 48 hours. In the time before Game Days, team owners should PM me with their lineup selections for the next game. At the end of the regular season, the four teams with the best records will advance to the playoffs. What if there are multiple teams with the same record? In that case, the team that made its draft picks later will win the tiebreaker. So let's say Team 5 drafted before Team 6. If they both end up with the same record, Team 6 wins the tiebreaker. The playoffs are similar to the regular season. In the semifinals (which is the first round of the playoffs), teams will engage in a best-of-3 series with their opponents. The first team to 2 wins wins the series and advances to the finals. The finals is also a best-of-3 series. The first team to 2 wins in the finals wins the BCL championship. REGISTRATIONOkay, this is where things get dicey. Because of the complicated nature of the game, as well as the effort required from me as GM, I am limiting the game to 8 teams, which means 8 owners. Which means only 8 people can play. This is going to be on a first come, first served basis. Please, only apply if you have the time / dedication to see this game through. Or, if you join but later need to pull out, please find someone willing to take over management of your franchise. Below is the registration form required for you to join. Owner Name: (Your BZP username)Team Name: (Self-explanatory)Team Colors: (One primary, one secondary and possibly one tertiary if you desire)Team Logo: (Must be an actual image, not just a description of the logo. However, this image can be as unprofessional as you need it to be)Team Roster: (You will fill this out as you draft players)1.2.3.4.5.6.7. TEAMSRed indicates playoff teams.1. Enlightened Shadows (Owner: Voxumo) Record: 0-7 THE DRAFTSo how do you go about drafting players to be on your team? Well, it's on a first come, first served basis. The first team to register can immediately choose its first draft pick. However, it must then wait for the other 7 teams to choose their picks before it can pick again. We will then continue in that order until all available players have been drafted. There are 56 players available, so there is exactly enough for 7 per team. After the draft, teams may trade players up until the postseason. However, these trades must be 1-to-1 and must be mutually agreeable. So, one player cannot be traded for two or more players, and no trade can occur without mutual consent. Players in red are drafted players and are unavailable to be picked. 11. Hey all! Although I am no longer in charge of the game, I just thought I'd drop by with a final farewell to the site that I've loved so much. BZPower has had a huge impact on my growth as a human being, in so many different ways - as an artist, a writer, a games leader, etc. I've had so many experiences here that have shaped who I am today, and I would not trade those for anything. But all good things must come to an end, and at this time I'm reminded of that classic quote from 500 Days of Summer, so melancholy and bittersweet: "People change. Feelings change. It doesn’t mean that the love once shared wasn’t true or real. It simply means that sometimes when people grow, they grow apart." I've loved BZPower, but as I look at my future, I realize that it doesn't have a place there. But I will always remember my time here and the friends I've made on this site. As I leave, I'd just like to thank all of you who played this game. Thank you for putting up with me when I messed up. Thank you for your passion, which energized me when I felt down. Thank you for making this last experience on BZPower such a memorable one. Stay passionate. Stay supportive of one another. But above all else, stay awesome. I love you guys. This is Fighty, signing out for the last time.
  12. Round 7 Summary The room was quiet. The press had exited hours earlier, and in the waning hours of the night the dreary bar was bathed in a moody darkness. Baltarc sat in his chair, glass of bourbon in hand, glazed eyes peering off into the disance. At length the man he had been waiting for walked in. "JiMing," Baltarc mused, as the assassin sauntered over to the lone table. "Took you long enough." "Why am I here?" JiMing replied impatiently, hands tucked in his coat pockets. "I wanted to talk to you," Baltarc replied innocently. "Please, sit down, have a drink." JiMing eyed the glass that Baltarc had poured for him suspiciously. "Seriously, Baltarc? You think I'm just gonna sit down and let you poison me? Thanks for wasting my time." WIth that JiMing turned to leave. "Wait!" Baltarc called, standing up woozily from his chair. JiMing halted, keeping his eyes trained on Baltarc. The hitman walked slowly towards JiMing, his gaze unwaveringly fixed on his fellow assassin. When he was just a fraction of an inch away from JiMing, Baltarc stopped. JiMing's entire body tensed, ready to pounce at a moment's notice. However, he was entirely unprepared for what would follow. Baltarc grabbed JiMing's face and kissed him on the mouth. JiMing instinctively kicked Baltarc back, whipping out a sledgehammer and conking him in the head. Stunned, but not killed, Baltarc stumbled to the ground in a daze. "What the heck was that?" JiMing yelled, genuinely confused. His confusion was ended a moment later when the neurotoxin that had laced Baltarc's lips reached JiMing's brain, killing him. Baltarc stood, rubbing the bump JiMing's sledgehammer had made on his head. "Maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all," he mused. Meanwhile, the Dapper Man was marathoning his 433rd showing of the LEGO Movie. He really, really liked the LEGO Movie. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tl;dr: JiMing is dead, with Baltarc collecting his bounty. The Dapper Man and Baltarc remain. Round 8 begins now. I will be gone for over a week, so I would suggest that the final scene by written by the one and only Punished Snake, the host of the next Bionicle Hitman game. However, if he doesn't wish to write the final scene, I can write the next scene when I return. But that would prolong an already overlong game, so if he is willing I think it would be highly appropriate for Punished Snake to bring this iteration of Bionicle Hitman to a close., and then begin his own take on the series. Best of luck to the remaining contenders.
  13. Round 6 Summary Dusk fell on the Odinan skyline as the sixth day of the Assassin Olympics started drawing to an end. The whole day had nearly gone by, but with the night came the murderers, with their minds steeled and hands ready to practice their deadly, artful craft. Pulsating Explosive kicked off the carnage, as he stealthily stalked his chosen prey: the crowd favorite, JiMing. Spying his target in a nearby casino, Pulse entered casually, collecting a cache of chips and sitting down at a blackjack table adjacent to JiMing, who was busy playing his fifth round of roulette. Pulse waited patiently, until he heard the roulette table erupt in a cacophony of jovial shouts and dejected moans, indicating that the round was over. Stepping up, Pulse reached into his coat pocket, his fingers wrapping around his precious Winchester knife. But Pulse wasn't the only one with his eyes on JiMing that night; in the same casino, seated at a nearby five-card stud table, sat Baltarc. He noticed Pulse advancing on JiMing, and correctly guessed his intentions. Excusing himself from the game, he stood up quickly and strode over towards the roulette table, his right hand in his pants pocket clutching his trusty wire. The two assassins converged on their target, arriving at the table nearly at the same time. Before they could act out on their murderous thoughts, however, there was a loud pop and the entire table was suddenly flooded with smoke. Choking on the sudden influx of gas, Baltarc and Pulsating Explosive stumbled backwards. Baltarc was laid out on the ground with a roundhouse kick to the face from JiMing. Pulse, on the other hand, was not so lucky, as his face was met with a hail of bullets from JiMing's concealed SMG. Stepping over his stalkers' incapacitated bodies, JiMing calmly collected his winnings and headed towards the casino's exit. "5,000 widgets," he mused, as he walked out of the building to his awaiting limousine. "Not too shabby." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tl;dr: Pulsating Explosive is dead. JiMing, The Dapper Man and Baltarc remain. Round 7 begins now and will end Thursday at 4:30pm.
  14. I'm sorry to hear about your history with bullying. As someone who used to struggle with self-esteem issues, I can certainly empathize with the pain and frustration you may be feeling. That being said, my treatment of your character has not constituted bullying, and I apologize if it has come across as such. I strive to make the summaries for each round light-hearted and enjoyable, and sometimes that means injecting a little humor. I'm sorry if some of that humor has come at the expense of your character's dignity. I'm being completely honest when I say that any disrespect towards your character was unintentional. As Chro humorously pointed out, I tend to portray successful assassins as awesome and unsuccessful assassins as buffoons. It's just the nature of the game, and it's all meant in good fun. In any case, your emotional needs have been duly noted and I will be sure to cater to them in the future.
  15. Hey, it's nothing personal, dude. Sorry for not being more sensitive. When an assassination attempt fails, I either portray the intended target as exceptional (i.e., the assassination attempt failed because the target was just too strong), or I portray the hitman as incompetent (i.e. the assassination attempt failed because the assassin just wasn't sharp enough). When you've failed, I think I've unintentionally veered more towards the latter, and I apologize for that. But also keep in mind that this is a game, and nothing I write in my 'summaries' reflects how I feel about y'all in reality. Y'all are awesome, and I really appreciate you playing this game and making it such a fun experience for everyone involved.
  16. Round 5 Summary Last night, as the Assassin Olympics steadily raced towards their gory conclusion, the remaining four assassins went out to prowl, eagerly hunting down their various targets. The Dapper Man, who was still at the theater, blissfully unaware that he was still a participant in the Olympics, was taking a quick bathroom break. As he relieved himself and walked out of the bathroom stall, JiMing burst through the ceiling above him, dropping down on him with an outstretched wire. Unfortunately, the floor beneath him had been recently mopped, and so JiMing slipped and fell to the ground, knocking himself unconscious. The Dapper Man was only mildly perturbed by the inconvenience, and left the restroom to watch his seventh consecutive screening of the LEGO Movie. In another part of town, Baltarc and Pulsating Explosive were sneakily hounding one another in a busy Odinan intersection. Spying his target from across the road, Pulse took quick aim with an RPG-7, and the ground underneath Baltarc's feet erupted in a seismic blast of flame. Much to his surprise, Baltarc arose mere seconds later, and trained his own RPG-7 at Pulse. Without any hesitation, Baltarc let his rocket fly, and it found the ground underneath Pulse, launching him into a nearby ice cream shoppe. Much to Baltarc's chagrin, Pulse emerged from the shoppe a few moments later, albeit covered in second-degree burns. The two assasins looked at each other, shrugged, and then ran away, vowing to live (and fight) another day. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tl;dr: No one died last night. The Dapper Man, JiMing, Baltarc and Pulsating Explosive still remain. Round 6 begins now and will end Monday at 4:30pm.
  17. We had one especially long round because I was out of town, and none of the other rounds have ended early, as in previous games. So yes, I suppose it is a bit longer than others.
  18. I realize this is a bit early, but I am feeling rather unwell and will be heading to bed shortly. Round 4 SummaryOn one end of town, the Dapper Man was enjoying a showing of the now annually-rereleased LEGO Movie, as he had quite forgotten that he was still participating in the Assassin Olympics. On another, seedier part of town, JiMing leaned against a graffiti-riddled wall in a dank alleyway, his eyes trained towards the exit of a nearby bar. A moment later his target, dressed in obnoxious shades of purple and green, came tromping out the door, with his posse of bodyguards close behind. "Here goes nothing," JiMing whispered, reaching into the inner pocket of his trenchcoat. "Hey Joker!" he yelled, as his right hand rapidly tossed a fragmentation grenade. ShadowVezon, the target in question, had just enough time to backflip out of harm's way. His bodyguards, however, were not so lucky. "Well, this evening just keeps getting livelier! OOOOOoooh I've never had so much fun before in my life!" with that ShadowVezon pulled out a revolver from behind his back and trained it on JiMing. The would-be assassin froze in his tracks. ShadowVezon paused for a moment, a goofy smile plastered on his face. JiMing was unsure of what to do; but he knew that running meant almost-certain death. Suddenly, ShadowVezon's eyes lit up, as if he had just thought of a new game to play. "Tell me, young squire... do you want to know how I got these scars?" At that exact moment, a bystander stumbled out of a nearby bar, obviously inebriated. He noticed ShadowVezon with his gun trained on JiMing and his eyes widened. ShadowVezon's eyes narrowed until they were infinitesimally thin slits. "Keep on walking, sssson. You've got legs; I presume you know how to use them." "Uhh, yeahh - brahp - sure thing..." the alcoholically impaired individual stuttered, stumbling past ShadowVezon. The gun-toting assassin took his eyes off of the buffoon for one moment, and in that split second the drunkard had shed his disguise and wrapped a taut wire around ShadowVezon's throat, revealing himself to be none other than Pulsating Explosive. "It's time to go, J-man," Pulse whispered into his victim's ear. "But... I.. haven't... gotten to... the punchline!" ShadowVezon retorted, jabbing Pulse in the face with his left fist. Pulse stumbled backwards as ShadowVezon kicked him in the gut, laughing wildly. "Now, where were we?" ShadowVezon said, swinging around. Much to his surprise, JiMing had vanished, and in his place stood Baltarc with an irascible look on his face. "Wooow, what an evening! I suppose you're here to kill me, too?" ShadowVezon guffawed. "That's the idea," Baltarc replied levelly. "Well, you'll have to do better than these two. They were so unoriginal, so blase. I hope you came prepared," ShadowVezon grinned. "I'm pretty sure I know how to kill someone like you," Baltarc shrugged. ShadowVezon howled in response. "You think you know how to kill a Joker? I'll show you how to kill a Joker! Heeheehaahhaahaha!!" ShadowVezon laughed maniacally as he pointed a gun to his own head. He pulled the trigger, a sharp retort sounded, and suddenly a flag sporting the word 'BANG' in bright red letters shot out of the barrel. ShadowVezon stood there grinning, until his maniacal smile started fading from his face. "Wait, just a second!" he giggled nervously, examining his faulty six-shooter. "That's not what was supposed to happ-" "Cute," Baltarc interjected, unamused. And with a quick, decisive slash, Baltarc decapitated ShadowVezon with his concealed sai. Baltarc kicked the unlatched head into a nearby dumpster and lit a cigarette, enjoying a congratulatory smoke as he walked off into the night, bloody sai still in hand.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------tl;dr: Regenerated ShadowVezon is dead. JiMing, Pulsating Explosive, Baltarc and the Dapper Man remain. Round 5 begins now and will end Friday at 11:30pm. For those of you wondering, ShadowVezon attempted to kill himself. However, he was eliminated by Baltarc instead.
  19. Hello all. I am so incredibly sorry that I didn't get this out last night as promised. My business over the weekend took a bit longer than expected. Round 3 Summary The third day of the Assassin Olympics was going along swimmingly. The sun was shining, the snow was glistening, and the local morgue had been cleaned up, ready for new residents to be interned. Aegon Targaryen had gotten up early to enjoy an invigorating judo session, a hearty protein shake, and a lively meet-and-greet with some of his die-hard fans. Eager fans were lined up to meet the renowned Olympian. "Would you mind signing this for me? I've been dying to get your autograph!" said a breathless fan, whose face was obscured by an Aegon Targaryen Fathead. "Sure," Aegon shrugged, taking the piece of paper. As he mindlessly scribbled down his signature, his eyes happened to notice an unfortunate sentence at the top: Wanted: Dead or Alive. His autographing hand froze and he looked up just in time to absorb a rocket-blast to the face. Protalgif removed the Fathead and, with the aid of a grappling hook, escaped the horde of traumatized fans. The bounty hunter chuckled, crossing another name off of his hit list. As he rounded a corner in the hotel in which Aegon had been having his meet-and-greet, his nose detected an auspicious aroma. "Hmm... vanilla... with a hint of lemon..." he murmured as he walked, wondering from whence the smell was wafting. He got his answer a moment later, as Voltex's cake-hammer came flying out of nowhere and collided with his face. Protalgif went limp, his life ended in arguably one of the most delicious ways possible. Voltex picked up his hammer, leaving Protalgif's crushed, cake-plastered corpse in the hotel hallway. He headed back to his hotel room to retrieve his favorite suit coat, as he had an exclusive interview with GQ later that afternoon as a part of their Olympics coverage. Walking into the room, he poured himself a shot of Shadowhawk-brand bourbon and took a moment to observe the breathtaking view out of the vista window of his suite. As his eyes gazed at the shimmering Odinan skyline, he noticed an anomaly amongst the clouds. Namely, a helicopter, carting a strange piece of cargo. As the chopper approached, Voltex was able to make out the large piece of cargo dangling from its underbelly: a grand piano. The chopper dove towards his window, and, at the last second, pulled up, snapping the cord and sending the piano hurtling through the glass into Voltex's room. Voltex was barely able to dive out of the way as the ensuing eruption of ebony, ivory and mahogany littered his suite with debris. Voltex stood up, brushing the dust off his dirtied suit coat. "Well, that was odd," he mused. As he stood there pondering why on earth an assassin would use a helicopter to sling a piano through a window, he heard a strange beeping sound. Unfortunately, he didn't have time to hide before the bomb which had been hidden in the piano exploded, engulfing the entire suite in flame. A satisfied Unit watched from his helicopter. "There was probably a more efficient way to do that," Unit mused as he piloted away from the scene of the crime. As Unit was mentally assessing how he could streamline his assassination processes in the future, he suddenly found it hard to focus. His vision had become blurry, and he was having a hard time forming coherent thounghksihherns. That's when he realized that he had a crowbar protruding from his skull. Unit had just enough time to look at his co-pilot's seat to see ShadowVezon sitting there, a diabolical grin plastered on his wild face, before he lost all consciousness and plummeted to his death. Vezon had just enough time to jump out of the chopper and pull his chute before the helicopter collided with the ground in a colossal explosion. In another part of town, Baltarc, Blade, and Pulsating Explosive were having a competition to see who could withstand the most hits to the face with a sledgehammer. Baltarc went first and, despite being weakened by Lhikevikk, managed to endure a full-frontal sledgehammer attack to the skull from Pulsating Explosive. Woozily taking his own sledgehammer, Baltarc swung it with all of his might at Blade's head, eviscerating his cranium into a gory mess with the consistency of oatmel. Baltarc then turned to Pulse. "Your turn," he grinned madly, advancing on Pulse with sledgehammer outstretched. Pulse turned and ran away as the sun began to set on the third day of the Assassin Olympics. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tl;dr: Aegon Targaryen, Protalgif, Voltex, Unit and Blade are dead. Baltarc, JiMing, Pulsating Explosive, ShadowVezon and the Dapper Man remain. Round 4 starts now and will end Wednesday at 11:30pm.
  20. Round 2 Summary A bright sun ushered in a new morning of the Assassin Olympics as Round 2 officially commenced. The sky was clear, birds were chirping, and the whole island smelled of lavender and arsenic. But mostly arsenic. The sun was still barely creeping over the horizon and Chro was already out on the hunt. He had eaten a good, nutritious breakfast, had engaged in some early-morning yoga and calisthenics, and was freshly-showered and shaved. He felt unstoppable. As he drank deeply of the crisp morning air, he noticed his target, Toa of Anarchy, buying a coffee from a streetside vendor. Moving quickly, Chro snuck past ToA and inconspicuously dropped a cyanide pill into his steaming cup of coffee. A split second later, Punished Snake emerged from underneath a nearby cardboard box and shot Chro point-blank in the face. Punished Snake turned to see a very confused Toa of Anarchy. "I wouldn't drink that if I were you," Snake said flatly, as he cleaned the Chro-brains off his gun. "Thanks," Toa of Anarchy replied, enjoying his new lease on life. That is, until Unit's wire wrapped around his throat, cutting off his air supply and leaving him dead on the ground. Punished Snake shook his head. "Really, dude? Strangling someone with a wire? That's bush league, bro." Unit shrugged, "You're the one who just shot a dude in the head. Talk about unoriginal." "I prefer the term 'classic'," Punished Snake shot back, as he took a sip of his Kanohi-Cola. Remarkably, the cola, unlike practically every other drink in Odina, wasn't toxic. Unfortunately, the straw which Punished Snake used to drink it had been laced with cyanide by JiMing, and a moment later his twitching corpse collapsed to the ground. Unit grunted, making a mental note never to buy Kanohi-Cola again. In another part of Odina, Voltex was busy preparing himself for the day. He was cramming his backpack full with the essentials: detonators, extra rounds, throwing knives, etc. As soon as he was done packing, he took a quick swig of his water bottle. As soon as the liquid hit his tongue, he detected an odd, metallic taste. He swung around to see Pulsating Explosive in his apartment, grinning evilly. "I see you've fallen for my trap," Pulse said matter-of-factly. "You see, I've injected your water bottle with enough arsenic to kill an entire herd of elephants. In a few moments you will be-" His monologue was cut short as Voltex spat the water into his face and, with a hearty kick, sent him flying out the window. Voltex was just recovering when a throwing knife went whizzing through the now-open window, nearly clipping his ear. From across the street, a very disappointed Blade cursed, and packed up his throwing knife kit to move on to his next target. All of a sudden, Burnmad dropped down from the ceiling, wrapping his wire around Blade's throat. Luckily, Blade had just managed to grab one of his throwing knives and used it cut the wire and escape. Burnmad grimaced, annoyed. As he turned to leave, his path was blocked by Baltarc, who had his Glock trained on him. Burnmad smiled in amusement. "You really think that's going to be enough to put me down, boy? See, it would be one thing if you threatened me with that peashooter on a normal day. But, y'see, it just so happens that I have a Sponsor," Burnmad unveiled the official tag to prove it, "and he would be very unhappy if I were to die. He strengthened me to make sure that didn't happen. Now why don't you-" Before he could finish his sentence, Baltarc's peashooter eviscerated Burnmad's neck, effectively decapitating him. Baltarc shook his head. "Why does everyone talk so much?" Baltarc wondered as he exited the building via aerial laser-shark. In another part of town, Norik was wondering the same thing. Protalgif had had him at gunpoint for the past two hours, but had detained him with some long-winded story about his sordid past. "Dude, I can't take this anymore!" Norik screamed at last. "If you're going to shoot me, why don't we both just get this over with?" Protalgif shrugged. "If you insist," he replied, as his bullets riddled Norik's chest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ tl;dr: Punished Snake, Burnmad, Chro, Toa of Anarchy and Norik of Gielinor are dead, and thus become Sponsors. Protalgif collects the bounty on Norik, and has +1 to the resistance of his choice. Round 3 begins now and, since I will be gone all weekend, ends Sunday, February 16th at 11:59pm.
  21. I realize this is a few minutes early, but I'll be going to bed soon and thought I might post this beforehand. Round 1 Summary The sun set on the first day of the Assassin Olympics, and as its rays vanished the streets of Odina took on a tense, pulsating atmosphere. Around every corner could lie an assassin, ready to eliminate one of his competitors in a number of grisly, gruesome ways. This atmosphere phased some more than others. The Olympic veteran and one-time champion, Vox, had gathered at the local pub for a meet-and-greet with some of his die-hard fans. As Vox autographed a foam icepick for one of his fans, he smiled: "And who should I make this out to?" The fan, whose face was hidden underneath a dark-gray fedora, replied, "Lhikevikk will do." Before Vox could react, Lhikevikk had forced an icepick through Vox's spleen and left him crippled and bleeding out on the floor. He died moments later. Lhikevikk sauntered over to the bar, removing his headwear as he settled on a stool and took a nice swig of Shadowhawk's signature bourbon. As much as it pained him to admit it, the stuff was actually quite good. He quickly drained a shot of it and promptly asked the bartender for a refill. The bartender, Protalgif, obliged by smashing the business end of a sledgehammer through Lhikevikk's face. In another part of Odina, Commander Viral was skulking through an alleyway, up to some nefarious scheme or another. As he rounded the corner, he walked straight into Shadowhawk's outstretched stiletto, bursting his heart on the protosteel blade. Shadowhawk watched on coolly as his victim bled to death in front of him. Then, leaving the corpse in the street, Shadowhawk walked over to his car and revved up the engine. As he did so, the whole vehicle erupted in a fiery conflagration of cake-bombs. As the grisly yet somehow delectable wreckage lay strewn over the road, a solitary note, still legible, sat in the ruins: "Courtesy of Voltex Catering." At a nearby cinema, the LEGO Movie was airing once again, due to its thunderous reception by those who had attended the advance screenings. As Unit sat in his seat, marveling at how perfect Will Arnett was for the role of LEGO Batman, a wire suddenly wrapped around his neck. More than moderately annoyed, Unit snapped the wire and proceeded to punch his would-be assailant, Toa of Anarchy, for violating one of the cardinal rules of the theater: No talking, texting, or homicide during the movie. Toa of Anarchy, perturbed by how easily Unit had evaded his wire, left the theater in annoyance. As he walked out of the theater doors, a throwing knife cut through the air, whizzing towards his face. He batted it away absentmindedly and kept walking, much to Canis Lycaon's chagrin. Foiled, Canis too left the theater, musing about how he would get back at Toa of Anarchy. His frown and furrowed brow worried a nearby onlooker. "Hello, sir," said an odd figure in a purple suit, "but... why so serious?" ShadowVezon, in complete Joker garb, dropped a canister of laughing gas at Canis's feet. Canis gagged on the poison, but the more he inhaled, the happier he felt. Soon, his breathing had stopped entirely, and a ghoulish smile was plastered on his cold, dead face. ShadowVezon, satisfied by his kill, went cackling into the night. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tl;dr: A Vox in a Box, Toa Lhikevikk, Commander Viral, Shadowhawk and Canis Lycaon are dead, and thus become the first Sponsors. Everyone else remains alive. Round 2 starts now and will end Wednesday night at 11:59pm. Remaining assassins, PM me with the name of your target and the weapon with which you intend to kill them. Sponsors, PM me with the name of the player who you either want to strengthen or weaken. Or, if you are placing a bounty, post that player's name here in the topic.
  22. Sorry for the confusion. The first round has not started. It will start at midnight tonight and will end at 11:59pm on Monday. But players have until the end of the first round to PM me their stat PMs, because I don't really need their stat PMs until I use them to tally up the results of the first round.
  23. Okay, I'm still missing stat PMs from Aegon Targaryen, Burnmad, Chro, Shadowhawk, Protalgif, Commander Viral and Vox. Remember that if you don't send me your stat PMs by the end of the first round, you are automatically terminated from the game.
