  1. "Only six Matoran were left free to oppose them." — Narrator, If a Universe Ends Here, have my renditions of six valiant rebels from Voya Nui. Before you ask, yes, there are inconsistencies (read: asymmetries) in their color schemes, it is intentional because in my book Karzahni is obsessed with asymmetry in everything (have you ever seen his mask?) And even then, Garan and Kazi came out quite symmetrical. Sigh. Anyway. I was not happy with some of Voyatorans’ tools (visually), so I decided to revamp them a bit. The most notable changes belong to Dalu, Kazi and Velika. Dalu now wears a pair of charger clamps that are wired directly to her body, hence their ability to drain her own powers. Kazi’s tools are simple yet brilliant: tuning forks! With Velika I went down the total reimagination road, with him having a cybernetic hammer arm and a chisel that suppose to perform the same task as his power carvers. * * * Now folks remember, if you like what I do and you want to see me create your OC, a favorite Bionicle Character, or something else, feel free to look up my Commission Info! 2. Thank you for giving me an idea! :3 And thank you for your praise. Thanks! Sorry for that, I have to imitate Ferron gripping the hammer somehow - hence the thinner fingers.

  4. %5BRender%5D Team Sevetu (Technorealm OCs) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr These three are OC Toa from Technorealm Bionicle AU. The are a part of an RP Adventure me and my spouse are leading for our friends geardirector, artiestroke and galaxy-of-jellyfish. All three of the models somewhat based off Demitsorou's drawing of them. %5BRender%5D Toa Ferron (Technorealm OC) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Ferron is Toa of Iron and Gear’s character, a Nynrah Ghost in the past. Unlike all Nynrah Ghosts, he never was blessed with visions of blueprints, and never built anything brilliant. One day he saved a wounded Toa that was attacked by the Dark Hunters, who lended their Power to Ferron. Led by strange visions of objects and voices, Ferron is traveling to find his Destiny. (Character Bio / More Pics) %5BRender%5D Toa Rixec (Technorealm OC) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Rixec is Toa of Psionics and Roxy’s character. She was a monk in a secluded Ce-Matoran monastery when her spiritual leader saw visions of peril and lended Rixec a Toa Stone. Now new-formed Toa of Psionics is on a journey to discover her Destiny. (Character Bio / More Pics) %5BRender%5D Toa Arion (Technorealm OC) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Arion is a Toa of Fire and Nick’s character. He was just a simple blacksmith from Akamai-worshipping village. His Turaga saw visions of darkness on the North and saw it as a sign to pass down his Toa Stone to Arion. Now Arion travels north to learn about what exactly is wrong and, if such is his Destiny, prevent the disaster. 5. Another digital MOC commission, done for lovely ghost-mantis! [Digital MOC Commission] Akida and Ikir by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr This time it’s Akida and Ikir, and I am very proud how they came out. Ikir’s wings actually follow the anatomy of real avians, and are properly foldable! 6. Thank you! Okay, I understand the disappointment, but consider this: these intructions are my bread and butter, they will help me pay the bills as much as digital commissions. I assumed that was the reason for putting these up for sale. As soon as I get some money to spare, I will definitelybe buying these! Thank you good friend! I appreciate the support! <3

  8. Hello community! Some of you may remember, the others don’t, but some years ago I actually ran a LEGO CUUSOO project that proposed to create a line of micro ships from your favorite game FTL: Faster Than Light. Despite having a huge following and even some articles on the media, and reaching the ultimate goal of 10.000 followers, the Lego Group did not pick the project for their LEGO Ideas set. I have promised myself that one day I will make the instructions available for the fans, and laid low for too long. But wait no more! I have put the PDF instructions for the micro ships from FTL: Faster Than Light on Gumroad! You heard that right, this is not a drill! The instructions are released in two forms: individually and in bundles! The three FTL Bundles cost 9$ and include a set of instructions for FTL ships plus a FREE instruction of game’s mascot ship The Kestrel! The one MEGA Bundle costs 22$ and includes all available FTL ship instructions AND A FREE instruction of The Kestrel! And finally, each PDF instruction is also sold separately for 5$. !Check out my Gumroad profile to see what’s available! But wait, there’s more! To provide an example of an instruction, and for the sake of self-advertisement, here’s an absolutely free of charge PDF Instruction with The Kestrel and a SUPER BONUS in form of an instruction of SSV Normandy from Mass Effect franchise: >>>CLICK HERE<<< Awesome! Now, a couple of disclaimers, just to be sure we’re on one page. 1. I do not own FTL Faster Than Light. It’s a game made by Subset Games aka Matthew Davis and Justin Ma, and y'all should know that, we're on their forums. The instructions are sold with their approval. 2. These are digital goods, which means there are no piece packages. Those are PDF files that show you how to assemble those micro ships with the pieces available, plus brick lists so you could easily buy what you need. 3. The choice of instructions included in the bundles is not random. With the help of Glen Bricker and polls he made during the CUUSOO campaign we’ve paired them up, so there’s that. Don’t request new bundles or ask to remake the existing ones. 4. Yes, the Kestrel is in every bundle. It’s free, so why not, right? 5. If you want me to make something that you like, go and check my Commissions info post. And now, shout-outs! Shout-out to Subset Games for making an awesome game that inspired me to make this all possible! Shout-out to Glen Bricker, who supported me through all the hardships of doing the CUUSOO project and beyond that. Go, check out and support his current project Brickyt! Shout-out to Stefan “Sastrei” Garcia for creating those amazing instructions! Go check out his Homeworld conversions! Shout-out to all of you who followed and supported LEGO FTL project on CUUSOO, and to those of you who over the years found me and told me that you are still waiting for the instructions to happen! Here’s to you, FTL and LEGO fans! And a little shout-out to my first customer artiestroke from Tumblr. You’re the MVP Roxy. :3
  9. Thank you for your detailed feedback, however you seem to have missed the part when I said that Uxar supposed to be a mix between a moth and a dragonfly. So all the fluff, and the big feelers on his head, are inherited from a moth. In fact, I used this as a reference image: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/Moth_September_2008-3.jpg Look at this precious baby, friend! It's so fluffy I wanna die! <3
  10. Another digital MOC commission, done for lovely ghost-mantis! [Digital MOC Commission] Uxar and Ketar by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr She commissioned me to do my revisions of two of her favorite Elemental Creatures - Uxar and Ketar. As you all can see, I took a very drastic approach. They do not look anything like their sets, and both me and Ghost-Mantis are okay with that. [Digital MOC Commission] Uxar by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr [Digital MOC Commission] Ketar by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr I made Uxar to look like both a moth and a dragonfly, with fluffy body and long tail. As for Ketar, I just made him a scorpion which he supposed to represent. I am quite proud of this segmented back and organic pincer design. --- If you like what I do and you want to see me create your OC, a favorite Bionicle Character, or something else, feel free to look up my Commission Info!
  11. Well, maybe, but this model is based on other's character, and this character sports gold bits. Also because they belong to a Psionics-based race, and Psionics has gold as part of its color scheme.
  12. Trans light blue was not used due to POV-Ray clogging like crazy on it during the rendering process. =\
  13. A birthday gift to a friend... you all know him probably. His BZPRPG OC, Commodore Ayiwah.
  14. If only to see more great feedback from you.
  15. I don't plan to do them, but I may consider if someone would want them bad enough to drop me a commish. I did Norik tho... not sure how satisfied I am with him.
  16. Yay for Metru fans! <3 After looking over the renders in greater detail, I have a few more comments to make. Firstly, I like how Nuju holds his Crystal Spikes - like claws, rather than a standard melee weapon. Reminiscent of how he held his tool in the movie, if I'm remembering correctly. And the design itself is great. That being said, I think it would've been cool if Vakama held his Disk Launcher in the same way (forearm-mounted as opposed to holding it in his hand). I have to say the weapon looks a little bare-bones, but I have a fondness for its overall length and shape. The Disk Launcher was always one of my favorite Toa tools, and the way you captured it here is great. Still on the subject of weapons, I have to say that Whenua's drill looks pretty sick. I'd also say he'd look better with two! Really enjoying it. Nokama's Hydro Blades are my favorite of the Metru's arsenal; they're just fantastic! And the simplicity of Matau's and Onewa's tools work great for their purposes. Build-wise, I appreciate how you managed to get a different look out of each Toa despite using the same base. For example, the slenderness of Vakama's body compared to Whenua's bulk, is really cool and displays a lot of character. Amazing how just some changes in armoring can affect the whole aesthetic. And of course, those heads/masks... absolutely stunning. I especially enjoy the use of a System sausage for Whenua's brow, and the build of Vakama's head - my favorite of your designs - captures a sullen look that's simply remarkable, even if not intentional. Overall, I'd buy these in a heartbeat. They're all really very cool, and certainly nostalgic (which is saying something, coming from someone who wasn't a fan in '04). Well done, and I look forward to anything you may do in the future. Wow, that's one detailed feedback! I appreciate that you have pointed all the things you like, this is the best kind of feedback I could've asked for. <3 When designing Nuju's Tools, I followed an idea that they should serve a role of "glorified" ice picks more than snow shoes. A wrist-mounted Disk Launcher is something to consider, but it's hard to pose unfortunately. :\ I am not sure how I like that they have the same body build. On one hand, I call myself a lazy for not thinking their builds over in detail - because I'd really love Nuju to be tad less tall than Onewa, but certainly above the rest of them, and I would really love Matau to be super-slender. But at least I made Whenua a shortie, and it's a lovely touch that is a shoutout to their Turaga sets. As for more models, honestly after finishing the Metru I am in a bit of uncertainty. I don't really want to take requests, unless people are willing to drop a commission or two, so I am going to rely on my own inspiration. Although, I think there are a couple of MOCs that I may post...
  17. One can dream - those are pretty hard to create given the amount of non-existent part/color combinations. Thank you! <3 Yes, they are pretty uniform - firstly, because they are a Toa Team and should bear a similar build, and secondly because I am not that patient to create a brand new torso for each model if I have something that worked before. Yay for Metru fans! <3
  18. Thank you! Yes, it is a pity that most of my models are not buildable in real life, but that's I consider my art more of a 3D sculpting, even if I try to keep all the connections legitimate. As for Turaga Lhikan, I honestly don't have any plans on doing any more Bionicle characters for now. If someone would like to drop me a commission, I may consider it, otherwise - maybe, but not in some near future.
  19. The turn of a new millennium was at hand for the citizens of the Slizer Planet - a giant ball of flame hid the sun from view, casting its ominous red light over the Judge’s Dome. Inside, a tall, black-and-yellow mechanoid, a Slizer by the name of Jet, rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “There is a storm brewing,” he said in a raspy voice. He looked away from the fiery light in the sky, turning towards the center of the chamber he stood in. There stood four stasis canisters. Four of us will wait out this storm, thought Jet. Carefully pressing his hand against one of the capsules, he closed his eyes, sighing sorrowfully. Only four. There are no more canisters on the whole Planet. We will have to draw straws to decide who will be saved. And I somehow doubt I’ll get a lucky draw… “We have answered your summons, Judge,” came a voice to his right, shaking him free of his own thoughts. At the entrance of the chamber, the seven stood - seven Slizers from the Seven Regions of the Slizer Planet. Jet mustered a warm smile. At the head of the seven was a mechanoid in red and black, hot as flame. Torch. He eyed the canisters with unease. Behind him was Scuba, an insightful blue Slizer from the depths of the Water Region. And behind Scuba, the Slizer Ice stood, his skiing goggles lifted. Next was a teal Slizer - Turbo, conqueror of the City’s streets. Not used to walking upright, the racer awkwardly stumbled after Ice, barely bumping into him. The rest of them - Amazon the Jungle Slizer, Granite the Rock Slizer, and Electro the Energy Slizer - lagged behind. “I hope you know why I have summoned you to my Dome?” Jet began. Turbo was the first to speak. “Nope. Enlighten us, bright-head.” “Keep your mouth shut, supersonic disaster,” grumbled Granite, poking him with his leg. “Shut up, stone head-” “Silence!” Jet interrupted. “Can you stop squabbling, even for one moment?” Scuba shook his head and stepped forward. “Do not be angry with our brothers, Jet. please, tell us: what is this about?” The judge Slizer turned his head to the fiery orb in the sky. The other Slizers shuffle forward to look at it too. “A disaster is upon us, the likes of which we have never seen before, and of which no records can be found,” said Jet. “What kind of disaster?” Electro asked, raising his brow. Jet said nothing. The rest of the assembled Slizers exchanged worried glances. Scuba touched his comrade’s shoulder. “Jet?” “The flaming orb in the sky,” he replied. “It is an asteroid, massive in size, pulled in by our planet’s gravity. Soon, it will hit our planet, and even I cannot comprehend the damage it will cause.” A strained silence ensued. Those present looked from the asteroid to each other, to the four canisters in the room with them. “I have prepared for the worst,” the Judge Slizer continued. “Our Disks of Power, along with our gliders, are already safely stored beneath the Dome. Four of us will do everything in our power to prevent the coming catastrophe. The other four will survive, and rebuild the Planet if the first four should fail. His comrades gasped. Turbo was the first to break the silence. “How will we decide who is to do this?” Jet did not answer, turning and walking to a locker mounted on the wall. He opened it, taking out eight sticks. “Four of these are shorter than the rest. We will take it in turns to draw one each. Whoever draws a long straw will be put into stasis,” he said, pointing at the canisters. “And then, they will be launched into space.” Torch huffed and stepped forward, clenching his fists. “I won’t be drawing,” he challenged. “Because I will not be called a coward for waiting out this storm. I will stop the asteroid, even if I have to do it myself!” The red-and-black Slizer turned away, shaking off his brothers who tried to stop him, and started for the exit. Jet sighed and swung his arm, a Disk of Power at the ready. It flew across the chamber, striking Torch square in the back, paralyzing him. “Wh- why?” He gasped, falling to the ground. “Because I do not want you to die in vain, brother,” Jet replied, shaking his head. “Scuba, put him in the first canister. Torch made his choice. I only hope that none of you are foolish enough to also pass up the draw.” While the Water Slizer was busy opening the canister, Jet offered the straws to the rest of them in turn. Turbo and Ice drew long straws. Granite and Electro drew the short ones. “It looks like it’s you and me left, eh, Scuba?” Amazon chuckled, eyeing the handful of straws skeptically. “You first?” Scuba shrugged, drawing a stick from Jet’s hand and inspecting it. It was longer than the others. “Let it be as it is,” he said simply. “Such is life, I guess,” replied the Jungle Slizer, forcing a smile and helping his brother into the canister. After Turbo finally entered his canister, grumbling stubbornly all the way, Jet activated the built-in rocket boosters. Together with the three remaining Slizers, he backed towards the chamber’s far wall. “Goodbye, my friends,” he whispered as the canisters launched, eventually fading into fiery dots in the crimson sky. “Let the gods protect you…” The new millennium began with global catastrophe, sowing terror in the hearts of the Slizer Planet’s inhabitants: the asteroid struck the Sea of Energy, sparking a chain reaction the created a powerful storm. The storm rolled across the planet, incinerating the Jungle, levelling the mountains, and destroying almost all inhabitants of those regions. Those who survived were changed by the storm’s energy, becoming an entirely new species - the horrifying mutants, Slizers of the Millennium.
  20. I like that you used a different gearbox for "anthropomorphic" Soldier. =)
  21. As I've stated on Tumblr, both telescope and a character are superb. <3
  22. Dude, this is sick! I love everything, from the structure to overall design! Good job man!
  23. This looks quite nice actually! Good job!
  24. Indeed! I've been suggested to keep it that way. In the end, the head feels like a focal point, I guess.
