  1. Thank you! I guess the brick-built masks are my "signature style." Something I should probably stick to. I remember talking with Voxumo on Flickr, they had the same issue with Nuju's tools. Thing is, I don't like Whenua's original tools in their "drill" quality. For me they are two, well, "glorified" scoops, if you want, whereas a regular drill would have more sense. I wanted to give him two of those, but then decided to keep one. As for Nokama's and Onewa's tools, here's the same reason: in my opinion they serve the purposes they meant to serve. That's about it. Thank you!
  2. They are here because I didn't find them any good covering, so I've just accepted their existence.
  3. Another digital re-imagination of Gen1 character: Takanuva! (image is clickable)
  4. Hello everybody, here are my virtual re-imaginations of the Toa Metru! (images are clickable) Thank you for your attention! EDIT: Here comes Vakama! EDIT1: Added Matau! And with that, the team is gathered!
  5. Oh really? Do you have any viable suggestions? Not really : / I have only one ccbs set, but i mean that the face is like super detailed while the arms are like five pieces. It's actually just the arms that bother me how they are so symplistic : s *shrugs*
  6. That is a sweet design! <3 Honestly Skakdi need more love in general.
  7. Oh really? Do you have any viable suggestions? Aww thanks. You can say I excel at brick-built head and masks. I think it's the first time I see anyone depicting my work as sublime. x3 Thank you!
  8. Lariska is an agile and deadly member of the Dark Hunters in G1 Bionicle universe. Said to be always in motion, performing feats of acrobatics and playing with her many knives, she is one of the best assassins The Shadowed One has in his employment. (all images are clickable) The images above, except for the poster are a part of Digital MOC commission I did for Tumblr user Ghost-Mantis.If you want to know more about my Digital commissions, please follow this link. The model itself is based on a drawing made by Just-A-Drawing Cat from Tumblr.
  9. That is quite nice actually! I like the armor shaping going on here.
  10. I longed to make a MOC of my favorite OC anti-hero. And now, thanks to New Years which brought us Darth Vader, me and Demitsorou finally managed to tear almost all of our Bionicle sets apart to assemble him. Master of Pain by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Kahlahnee is an OC of mine, a cursed Toa of Ice hailing from the twisted realm of Karzahni. Its ruler have crafted a powerful Mask of Suffering as a punishment for Kahlahnee's uncontrollable violent outbursts, which were the reason he's been sent to Karzahni in the first place. His weapon is a baseball bat. Don't ask me why.
  11. [Render] Volt by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Meet Volt, the electrifying space ninja aka Tenno from massive multiplayer online third-person shooter called Warframe. It's not entirely clear, whether Tenno are people that wear Waframe suits, or Warframes themselves, or some incorporeal presences that can switch between Warframes like bodies. The latter is logical if you think of it from a gameplay standpoint. Volt here, in addition to being one of the starting 'Frames, is a master of electricity, which is pretty obvious if you look at his name. Of course, I cannot show it without any sufficient special effects, and I will probably work on the image in Photoshop later, but at least you have now a good idea of what Volt looks like. I will also provide a screenshot with his front and back views. In his hand Volt holds his trusty Boltor nailthrowing machine rifle. For some reason I believe that Boltor is one of Volt's signature weapons. It oddly fits him. Anyway, comments and critiques are welcome, and as I promised, the screenshot: Volt by The Mugbearer, on Flickr
  12. It looks more of a half-body than an actual Moa. Also, it has pretty much only one color going on about it so the whole build just blend in.
  13. Ruk by The Mugbearer, on Flickr General Sargas Ruk is the final boss of the Saturn system. The head of one of the Grineer Artifact extraction projects, Sargas Ruk was targeted by the Lotus for annexing Tenno-controlled dig sites. Ruk enjoys Grineer augmentation, even going as far as replacing the lower part of his arm with a flamethrower and replacing his normal vision with a single augmentation in the center of his helmet. 14. Artakha Bull by The Mugbearer, on Flickr As Biosector01 tells us, Artakha Bulls are powerful and intelligent Rahi shrouded in myth and legend. The Artakha Bull species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.A population of Bulls established themselves in Le-Metru on Metru Nui. They are one of the oldest kinds of Rahi known to the Matoran of Metru Nui; the Archives have recorded appearances of them on the island city prior to the Great Cataclysm.During the events of the Great Rescue, Rahaga Bomonga reported having extreme trouble catching the Bulls because of their unusually high levels of cunning and intelligence. After the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, many Artakha Bulls emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna. Legend has it that the Bulls had intelligence far beyond anything the Matoran could hope to achieve, and so they were the only creatures allowed by Mata Nui to enter Artakha along with the Matoran. Another legend states that the Artakha Bulls were actually on Metru Nui long before Matoran populated it.Artakha Bulls are very strong, very swift, and excellent trackers. They are extremely hostile and bad-natured. Some Artakha Bulls carry spear-like tools. The MOC was inspired by drawing made by Demitsorou.
  15. IC: Gaia [Chiisai Ryuu, infirmary] She's been brought to the infirmary where she supposed to work now. Oh, being one of the few healers on the ship that goes to Mata Nui - a great responsibility! Gaia was glad that there was enough herbs to satisfy any of her desires, and she simply thought of her personal stock of healing items, including potions, ointments and even a small bottle of home-brewed balsam, as an addition to what was available. The balsam was very special: one of the strongest known to Dashi of Eiyu, and with a sweetest taste on the whole Kentoku. One sip is enough for a Dasaka to feel refreshed even after the most exhausting activities. The most precious possession in the whole Gaia's collection. She decided to keep her stock in her bag since they needed no special containment conditions. Now she just sat at one of the stools in the infirmary and followed Asa with her eyes, curious but a bit shy to talk.
  16. Your MOCs are always very complex but does not bother eye with excessive detail. Your designs are complete, I'd say. Yeah, complex and complete. And lovely. Good job! =)
  17. My sincere congratulations, you've done a terrific job on keeping the look and feel of the Rahi despite the scale. They are so well done, I am a bit jelly. Is there a chance to see Muaka and Kane-Ra some time soon? =) Also dat Kini-Nui Temple... *drools*
  18. IC: Gaia Ayiwah studied the Dashi with stern eyes. "Cutting it a little close, aren't we?" she asked, taking the notification. "Oh, my apologies, your Grace," she stepped back, still bent in a bow, but allowed herself to raise a bit to see Ayiwah clearly. "It is the first time I meet an Umbraline in person, it is a great honor to be summoned here." "Fall in with the rest of the group and follow me." "Yes, ma'am," Gaia replied, straightening herself and stepping back into the crowd. After that Ayiwah led them all into the ship - it's name was Chiisai Ryuu if she understood correctly, - to show them it's interior and make them familiar with the layout of the many different rooms. No questions rose in Gaia's head as they proceeded through the storage room to the navigation and from there to the living quarters. "...This is where you will sleep for the next couple of weeks. There is enough room for personal privacy but this is not a luxury cruise, so get used to sharing the space with the rest of the crew..." Dashi looked around and humbly admitted that these bunks were not as bad as one can assume. Pretty comfortable, especially when one take into account that they will spend a few weeks underwater on their way to the Mata Nui. Also, the all meaning of this summoning suddenly dawned on Gaia. She was wise enough to figure this out on her own, but she still was confused and humbly hesitated about her role in this voyage. Maybe, it was an omen from Zuto Nui? A sign that she was needed someplace else rather than Kentoku?
  19. IC: Gaia [Hometown of House Eiyu] For some time there were no customers, but then a Dasaka messenger entered the healer's shop. "Gaia the Healer, by the orders of Commodore Ayiwah of the House Umbraline, you are summoned to the Shipyards on Sado. Here's the official notification," he gave her a scroll sealed with the House Umbraline insignia. "You must depart at your earliest convenience." "Wait, me?" she was quite shocked and therefore stood in awe, not able to move. "Why me? What's happening? Why Shipyards?" "My job is to notify you. You will have to ask your questions to Commodore Ayiwah once you'll arrive. Now I should go," and the messenger departed. "Sheeta. Sheeta!" dashi called on the verge of her breath. The girl appeared instantly and took Gaia's hand. "Sheeta, I need to go. I am needed elsewhere. And I am not sure I will be back soon," she looked upon her. "The shop is yours now. Forgive me, Sheeta, it's too early for this, but I have no choice. Nobody can ignore the summon of the House Umbraline," Gaia looked at the scroll in her hand. Then she looked at frightened Sheeta and smiled to her. "Oh, don't be scared, my brave Sheeta. You are smart and beautiful girl, and you can do it," she embraced Sheeta and they stood like this for a few minutes. "Please, be safe Gaia-san," whispered Sheeta. "I will, my dear. Now, farewell," Gaia stepped back and then turned and hurried to her house where she took her first aid bag, a straw hat and cape for travels and after that walked out. She locked the door for the last time and after that looked around. Gaia took a deep breath and then made her first step on the road... [TIMESKIP] IC: Gaia [sado Yards] It was a few days since Gaia left her hometown. A few long days full of walking, taking carriages, and then ferrying from Odaiba to Sado. And now she stood in the docks of Sado Shipyards. A great vessel, previously never seen, was moored to them. From the looks of it Gaia could assume that this is some kind of submarine, of which she only heard rumors and never saw herself. A group of people has gathered around a Dasaka in Royal colors - that must be Commodore Ayiwah. Dashi of Eiyu closed her eyes and said her prayers to Zuto Nui. She suddenly felt scared and thought that she's not ready for this, but she remembered about the Burdens and that cleared her mind. She gathered all her courage and stepped towards the crowd, joining it, blending with it, and trying to get as close to Commodoe Aiywah as possible. She managed to get to her and bowed before her. "Commodore Aiywah, I am Gaia the Healer, summoned by your orders here before your eyes. This is my official notification," she lend the scroll, seal ubroken, to Dasaka.
  20. Sorry for confusion, I'll contact the staff soon. Oxidized Monk by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Lore: This granddaddy has seen a lot in it's long life. There are still living witnesses on Fostral who saw it triumph in the big race from Incubator. They mopped the floor with those four boneheaded quizzers Zeexen on their right-on dragsters, and copped guns from them worth wads of beebs. Fortune lives in this machine. Creator's comments: So this is mechos, a fantastic vehicle from an old game Vangers made by Russian studio K-D Lab. So much memories... It's now available on Steam! If you brave enough, go and get it! And good luck on the roads of the Lost Chain. Also, the render took me 30+ hours. Reference image: Click
  21. Okay, so what the heck exactly the Hard Truck Apocalypse? Well, it's a videogame. A Russian videogame. Brought by Targem Studios, here in my country it was known as Ex Machina, but you guys probably know it as Hard Truck Apocalypse. And honestly, I like that name better. No reason to be mysterious. So HTA is about you being a post-apocalyptic truck driver and gives you a reasonable amount of a pseudo open-world to explore. To do so, you need to have a truck, and that's where HTA shines. It has five classes of trucks with a great amount of cabins and cargo holds to install, plus a wide variety of weapons. I love HTA for it's atmosphere and it's trucks. And I want to share my love with you by presenting to you these MOCs. Van Hard Truck Apocalypse - Van by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Van is a starter truck that is a gift to main protagonist from his father. This default Van configuration contains a simple cargo bay and Hornet-class machine gun mounted on the cabin. Reference Image Lorry Hard Truck Apocalypse - Lorry by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Lorry is a reliable truck that features high suspension and 4x4 drive. Although it's vastly used by traders, Lorry is still not really that well-equipped for lone trips and requires protection. The default Lorry configuration includes a basic cabin and cargo hold with a weapon mount. The weapon equipped is a general-purpose machine gun based on Russian PKT. Reference Image Ural Hard Truck Apocalypse - Ural by The Mugbearer, on Flickr You know that when you sit behind the steering wheel of this monster, things just got far more serious. Those who succeed, choose Ural for balance of it's carrying capacity and weapon customization. Big enough to get off-road if needed, Ural is the best choice for a post-apocalyptic trucker. This is the default and most common configuration of Ural, featuring a standard weapon mount on the hood and a medium weapon mount on the cargo hold. Featured weapons - a general-purpose machine gun based on Russian PKT (hood) and four-barreled heavy machine gun based on KPVT (body). Reference image Comments and critiques are always welcome, safe road to you, and play well!
  22. [both profiles are approved by Gravity] Name: Kahlahnee [Kahi-lah-ni] - "A great expert", more often addressed as 'The Cursed One'. Species: Male Toa of Ice Affiliation: He is his own boss, affilliated to his own little group. Powers: Full spectrum of Elemental Ice abilities: he can absorb and create ice of various shapes and forms, he can manipulate weather in such fashion to summon or restrain a blizzard, he also can lower the temperature in a few bio around him. Mask of Suffering (in form of lensless Matatu): causes phantom pain to target without actually hurting it physically. However, pain is so real, it makes target suffer and soothes Kahlahnee's own pain. Gear: Blade and Xian-tech laser pistol that works from a shard of Lightstone and a system of lens that focuses the beam and made in form of human-world flintlock pistol. Skills: As his name suggests, he's exceptionally skilled in many spheres, has a great expertise in everything that includes hostage capture, terrorism, extremism on the racial basis and causing a lot of trouble to law enforcers. Weaknesses: His own Mask causes him phantom pain. However, he wears it long anough and got used to this side-effect, but it still makes him a bit clumsy. Appearance: As any member of his group, Kahlahnee wears a black trenchcoat that hides his true colors. His Mask is skillfully paint in black that way it's not changes it's color under his Elemental Power's influence. Has burnt-orange eyes. History: Kahlahnee's Mask was forged by Karzahni himself. He is a runaway convict that managed to escape Karzahni quite some time ago. Most of his history is covered in shadow not because there's nothing to tell, but because he was hiding and traveling and terrorizing matoran and pissing off everyone else. Before going to Karzahni, he was over-exciteable even for those of same Elemental Affinity, and at some point he lost control over himself and killed his close friend, a Toa of Water. He then fled to Karzahni to bring himself before it's master and his justice. After his escape many years after, and some time spent unnoticed, he appeared in the Upper City in company of his friend Polymorph, and they decided that this is a good place to begin with. So they formed their own group called The Black Toa and offered their services to anybody in need. And their services were quite specific... Personality‏: He never smiles, very grumpy and serious. He's not a bad guy by nature, but given that he already killed once, he can do it again. His Mask also brought him some sociopathic traits like sadism and excessive cruelty. Also, still blames himself for losing control over his temper back the day so nowadays he prefers not to. Has a habit to smoke alot, likes strong drinks but is able to have just enough of them to relax. Name: Polymorph Species: Gendefluid and Pansexual Toa of Magnetism Affiliation: The Black Toa Powers: Elemental Magnetic powers: ability to polarize, increase and decrease magnetic field of any object susceptible to magnetic forces, ability to manipulate with metallic objects by means of magnetizing them, ability to invert polarities into vulnerable electric circuitry. Mahiki, Mask of Illusion. Pretty much like Matau used it in LoMN movie: making himself appear and feel like other person. Able to change his own appearance to melt into the crowd. Gear: Glaive (pole-arm, not boomerang-like), short-range tazer. Skills: Deceptive and seductive agent, Polymorph's skills are all about getting someone's trust in order to obtain money, equipment or just valuable items. The Black Toas' major spy and listener. Pretty believable actor. Weaknesses: Egocentric, some parts of his costume and body does not change with his appearance. Appearance: In his basic appearance Polymorph looks like a tall and lean Toa in black Mahiki and black Protodermis armor. However, he has a distinctive detail that prevails in every appearance he might take: violet armor bits on knees and elbows. Also he does not have his pinky and fourth finger on his left hand. Such injury even Mahiki could not conceal. History: A great actor that lives all for himself. All world is a stage. It's fun to change his appearance, it's interesting to be genderfluid. He finds amusing to take and play a form of a naive girl to gain some Toa's trust. And then that Toa is left without anything in his pocket. Ah, the times... For now Polymorph sticks with Kahlahnee. He likes that guy. Like, really. And he will be with him until the very end. Personality‏: Polymorph is a pompous, impudent man. He likes to show-off, and when he's in his original form, he likes to be loud, annoying, but still kinda charming. Also, despite the fact that he likes Kahlahnee, in most situations he's an attention magnet and leaves no space for his grim companion. Likes to flirt with men when takes female form. Hates the lack of attention, especially when flirting with someone who is not interested.
  23. IC: Kikao Ko-Matoran followed his mentor, not paying attention to Vortixx. He just held his staff close just in case. He was told that Vortixx are not to be trusted, and until Soro would say opposite, traveling monk was gonna stick to this line of attitude. He, however, observed ruins of Pala-Koro as they were coming closer. From the other coast of the lake they looked different, inanimate and uninhabitable, but now he's seen that they were pretty much alive since matorans were busy bringing this place to life.
