The best part about the new year is that we're that much closer to all the great games out this year.

Happy New Year from your favorite British Columbian!

Unless you fancy Michael J Fox, Ryan Reynolds, or any other celebrities from BC.

    Sorry for the delay again.

Went to Las Vegas. Visited the Hoover Dam on the way. It was pretty cool. Las Vegas was just like it is in the movies. Right under the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, there was an Elvis and plenty of couples getting married. We went to some fountain thing and it was really cool cause they had this free show where fountains lit up and danced to some music. The music changed every time the show played, but we got some Western music, and it was awesome. Then, we got free backstage passes to see Cirque Du Soleil's "KÀ" since my Aunt works with them. It was amazing. The backstage stuff was pretty cool as well. Personally, I still liked their other show better, "Kooza", the one we got free tickets to see in Vancouver and I forgot to blog about it, but KÀ was still pretty awesome. We then slept over at my Aunt's place.

Yesterday, we went shopping just before we left Las Vegas, and I bought Natalie Breez (not the new one, they didn't have any) and this sweet Star Wars shirt. Then, we drove back to Arizona and ate dinner at this cool japanese place. The staff must have liked us because they took a picture of us and put the picture on the top right corner of their "wall of fame". It was awesome.

This will be one of my last Arizona adventure entries. Tomorrow (Or should I say today?) we are flying to Portland to stay the night at our Uncle and Aunt's place. Then we drive home.

Well, excuse me while I go get 3 hours of sleep.

Sorry. Been busy and not been able to get on the laptop. Here's a quick summary:

Scouted out the nearby pools. Got 2 puzzles. I finished the 500 piece one really quickly.

Stayed at home. Watched some movies. Started working on 3 foot long 1000 piece puzzle. It's super hard and frustrating and I've only completed half. Watched more Chuck. Planning to watch season 3 on the way back, and finish season 2 while we're here. I still love this show.

Merry Christmas! Got now presents just $150 american. Gonna get $50 more when we head to my Aunt's place in Vegas. Turkey dinner was awesome. Still working on the puzzle. It's still really hard. Watched more Chuck. It's still really awesome.

Gotta go now. Headin' to the Grand Canyon. Next Friday, I'll post 2 friday funny pics. Seeya!

    Nothing too exciting today.

BUT WHY IS THERE SO MUCH RAIN!? C'MON, IT'S THE DESERT!

But ya, finished my book Eldest today. Started on the next one already.

Also, why are there so many marathons on American television? There's at least 7 marathons on at once, all day long.

For dinner we went to red lobster.

    It was awesome.

Going to Arizona tomorrow. Comin' back on the 31st. My brother might bring his laptop, and if the hotel has wifi, I'll prolly be able to post my friday funny.

Also, it's almost 100% likely that I'll be getting Assassin's creed brotherhood on boxing day. I played the multiplayer and it is amazing.

My brother is prolly getting black ops, but I played multiplayer and it's just terrible. =/

So, while driving to Portland to go to our cousin's for a bit and wait for our flight, we stop at McDonald's for some breakfast.

I never realized how bad American McDonalds were before.

Anyway, my cousin got a pet bearded dragon, (like me!) and also a chameleon. The chameleon is awesome and now I want one.

On the way to Portland and on the plane, we watched season one of Chuck, which is an amazingly awesome show which I just started watching. We'll be watching season 2 on the way back.

    Nothing eventful at the airport.

When we finally got out of the airport, I didn't realize it would smell so sandy. The desert is awesome.

Also, American intersections suck almost as much as McDonalds. We were at a light and literally no one was moving on all four sides.

Also, you have commercials for books. What's up with that?

    NEW GAMES:

Arkham City: 5 times the size of the first game? Wow. I cannot wait.

Skyrim: New Elder Scroll Game? Dragons? Yes please.

Thor: Definitely looks better than the other games Marvel has spit out (Other than Spider-man 2 of course), but I'm not too excited for this.

Mass Effect 3: Knew this was their next game. But still. ASDF REAPER EARTH INVASION

Resistance 3: No PS3. Do not care. I have to admit that the viral campaign that fooled the news was cool though.

Prototype 2: Never played the first game, so can't say I care about the second. Trailer wasn't all that great.

Insane: I like Del Toro's movies, so this should be interesting. Hardly anything was revealed about the game though. And 2013? Really?

Portal 2: Wait, this isn't new. It's just a bit more of a a quarter of the multiplayer trailer. Better than nothing I guess.

Forza motorsport 4: Do not care, racing games are lame.

SSX: Deadly Descents: Really? It looked like some awesome game, but then it was just some lame snowboarding game.

    Uncharted 3: Don't have a PS3

    AWARDS:

Best Studio: Glad to see Bioware won. One of the best studios.

Best action adventure game: Haven't played brotherhood yet, but I played AC2 and that was awesome. Heard nothing but good things about brotherhood, so I'm glad it won.

Best shooter: I wanted Halo Reach to win, but knew Black Ops would win. No surprise there.

Best performance by a human male: Meh. Would've rather seen the guy who played John Marston win than Niel Patrick Harris.

Best independent game: Never played any of the games, but I heard Limbo was pretty good. Good for them.

Best Racing game: Do not care. Racing games are lame.

Best RPG: Heck yes Mass Effect 2.

Best soundtrack: Never played DJ hero and I don't plan to.

Best Music game: Rockband's fun, but not nearly as fun as other games.

Most anticipated game for 2011: I wish Portal 2 hadn't won this award. It could've been out this month.

Character of the year: Haven't played Black Ops yet, so no comment.

Game of the Year: Haven't played Red Dead, but again, heard nothing but good things.

    Best DLC: Look above.

    OTHER:

The cast of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia? Awesome.

For the first time in my life, I shaved, thus completing my long journey into manhood.

To commemorate the event, I will kill a moose with my bare hands and use it's antlers to chop down a tree every year, as many Canadian men do.

I can practically feel the testosterone and maple syrup oozing out of my pores.

This gif was better than any other photo I saw all week.

I was gonna link it in a URL but Arby said I should just put it in image tags, so blame him if it lags up.

For full effect, let it play through once so it can load and watch it at full speed after.

There are mixed reactions for Oprah's newest holiday gift.

First off, for those who haven't read the book/seen the movie: SPOILERS!

    I CALL SHENANIGANS!

I was promised a blind dragon in the trailer. There was no blind dragon in this part.

    I am disappoint.

Also, Dobby's death was actually very emotional. I always liked him, and was fairly sad when he died.

I'm actually pretty stoked for the next movie. The fight at Hogwarts should be pretty amazing. And the blind dragon.

Also, the story of the Hallows was an amazing scene. The people that made that also made a pretty awesome zombie thing.

This is for the few other people that have a blog who read my blog:

It is time to expand my "Dear Static" campaign! This is a shout out to all my fellow bloggers! If Static (AKA Foxy Panda) makes a post in one of your blogs, and it just so happens to have incorrect spelling or grammar (about 98% of the time), you would be so kind as to edit his post to correct his spelling and or grammar.

    That's all folks.

    Good night and good luck.

Portal 2 was supposed to be released some time in December.

Unfortunately it was delayed until February.

Now it's delayed til April the 18th.

    RAAAAAEEEEEEG

Valve has this to say on the matter: "the shortest delay in Valve's proud tradition of delays" but tries to cheer us up with this: "It represents the approaching convergence of Valve Time and Real Time. Though this convergence spells doom for humanity, it will not affect the new Portal 2 release date."

Also, if I was able to post a video of my reaction, imagine something like when Michael reacts to Toby coming back.
