  1. This has been too long in coming, this should have been done years ago, but better late than never, eh? The size discrepancy was ridiculous and highly misleading, and of course very wasteful. This makes things a lot better for storage too, because geez, the boxes I have to deal with are just ridiculous and take up a lot of space. But yeah, glad they're also implementing a whole raft of sustainable measures it seems. They'll realise it's better for their bottom line as well, particularly in the long term, so it's good they're showing some responsible business and environmental practices in the years ahead.
  2. Glitched account deleted, at long last, thank you Black Six! Hence, Phylog 1.0 has also been deleted. (though I did back it up, probably unwisely!) All other activity from my early days still viewable in the BZPower Archives. Also hi everyone! You may hear from me again in the not too distant future.

  3. Well folks, this is the big one. For 300 weeks, for 5.75 years, I've been highlighting one of the now 46764 members on BZPower. I've only covered 0.6% of the whole BZPower fanbase. Nearly 80 members a week on average join BZPower. Wait, really? I'm not really sure on my maths on the last one, that sounds bizarre. Anyway. For real, now, I'm calling it quits. 300 is quite enough. Why on earth I kept this up for this long is beyond me. Especially with my ignorance about everything. But you guys and girls enjoyed it, right? As much as one can enjoy me just rehashing info from someone's profile, often profiles that barely have any information. And all those banners. Wow. So ends what's sort have become a BZPower blog institution, the Random BZPer of the Week. Thank you. Let's see who the final one is. Oh I say I say I say, how appropriate... Ta-metru_defender Ta-metru_defender has 10161 posts (4 Star Rating, 2791 Profile Views) and joined BZPower 27-December 03. He is a Premier Blog Assistant (hence, blog), has an avatar of some guy from what I believe is Metal Gear Solid (watch as how hilariously wrong I am!), has a banner of the LEGO Ironman minifig, currently lives in South Carolina (after being nearly everywhere, man), has a LEGO.com account, and loves films (watching and directing, nice), among all sorts of books, games, TV shows and bands. He also has too many #5 films, but that's OK, because who can choose? He last visited on the 13th of July 2012, and his birthday is the 6th of June 1991. Another one of those people who I always assumed was older than me (well, OK, he is by just over a month, but you know what I mean). And this is it, the last banner, and the last dumb banner message. Thanks for reading everyjuan. Which now brings me to something else. This point will also mark the point where I'll be taking my leave of BZPower. I think it's time I moved on, for real this time. There is stuff in my life I need to work on, to fix, and such. But I thank this wonderful community for the past 7 years, it's been a blast. You've been so kind, so warmhearted, and frankly its been a joy to know you all. You're amazing people, no matter what other people say, no matter how much I've distanced myself from you all. Thank you. If you want, I've set up a Twitter account, which you can see in the About Me section on the left. You can follow that if you want, I'm not sure when or why I'll post things on there, but you're more than welcome to send a message to me over there for whatever reason. I don't actually know how things work on Twitter, so I'm assuming that's the thing you do, right? I dunno, anyway. There's also the email and such over on the left too, but I never really go there. I don't know, if anyone feels inclined to contact me, you have your ways. That being said, I may come back here every now and again for some sort of life update or something. But for now, bye everyone, enjoy yourselves, and play well.
  4. The Internet was out for the whole area for the whole day, so I spent most of the day trying to find out what was going on, and to eventually fix things up once things were supposedly back to how it should be. It was 16 hours of HASHES. Anyway things are working again, which is great. In the meantime throughout that nonsense, spent the rest of the day rearranging my room, basically moving my desk from one side of the room to the other, and trying to make room for books and such. Actually did enjoy it, felt sort of accomplishing, rearranging things and actually doing some manual labour. Change is as good as a holiday, I heard once. Maybe that is true? And semester results came out today, pretty good for the most part, that'll do. Also that birthday entry was sorta melodramatic? Bleh, who cares.
  5. Happy Birthday to me, I guess. I really don't know what to think about today. For the most part it's been just as uninteresting and pathetic as I thought it would be. Oh well. Onwards and upwards.

    Well Oh My

I just seriously doubt that's the case, though. Everything we do on the new board doesn't seem to affect the archive in anyway. Like for instance someone who had been made a staff member since the upgrade, like...*goes to find an example* Velox is still listed as a Premier Forum Mentor on the old board, when now he is clearly a Premier Forum Assistant. So if I was to get the old account deleted on this board, I would reckon it's still going to exist over in the old. I mean, there are no posts from the old account in the new board, so I would think losing posts would not happen. The things I've got to consider is whether to keep the old blog (probably no huge priority, I'll keep an archive for myself anyway), and also the potential threat to the existence of this account, which I think is only a very minor threat. Because in the grand scheme of things, all of this REALLY MATTERS.

    Well Oh My

It's been 5 years since I lost my original account. Or more accurately, five years since I had this one. Wait, goes to check...oh, the spinny hasn't updated here, but anyway, yes, it has been. That's incredible how time has passed in this way. So, ever since this whole mess started all that time ago, I've debated whether it should be removed permanently. Because frankly it's embarrassing with it's constant state of zombietude, just being all ruining everything in the member list and such. My thinking is that now that the board has been split into two, with the archive and regular board, that if I was to ask for the old account to be nuked here, it would still exist on the other site. Also in the end whether it really matters because all topics from that account are linked to on the right, so if the account was to disappear from the archive as well, at least the topics will remain and I'll be able to find them. My only concern is whether there would be a risk to this account, though I imagine there wouldn't be, considering they're different member numbers and different emails attached. The only other thing is that I'm guessing that my original blog would disappear, so I might want to grab myself an archive of it, because I find it interesting at the very least. Also a reminder of how much of an COOL DUDE I was/am. Anyway, what do you think I should do? Keep or remove? In either case, I'm not going to go asking about removing it quite yet.
  8. Guess what, it's now a few hours later! Rokroro Rokroro has 2374 posts (4 Star Rating, 3635 Profile Views) and joined BZPower 8-April 06. He has an avatar of Heath Ledger's Joker with a purple Pakari, has a LEGO.com account, claims to live in Hapori Nui (uhuh), and likes Poirot and House, among "other stuff". Oh Hugh Laurie. He last visited on the 2nd of July 2012, and his birthday is the 12th of June 1995. Yay for him. Bannerisms.
  9. Taka Nuvia: Cheers! ^^ Ballom: Oh yeah, the banner. OK, there we go. Gatanui: Donation. That's why I was kinda surprised, wasn't expecting that. I guess it makes sense but, eh. It means I've only really 'earned' one of my five boosts, through a news story a while back. I guess I have helped out the community, but yeah. BioGio: Anything that's related to BZPower gets posted in that category. 'Issues' probably doesn't always apply in the sense you're thinking. GSR: Oh yes, I'm going to lord over you guys so much, you have no idea.
  10. So apparently I'm a POBZPC now. That's pretty sweet. Was...honestly not expecting that. I'll take it though. Thanks B6! Next RBZPotW in a few hours or so. I mean, I could do it now, but it's really time for bed. It's 12:12. That's a pretty cool time to sign off for the night.
  11. Welp, sounds pretty good to me. I'll have to look into this a bit.
  12. While I probably should invest in some quality headphones soon for my intended purposes, the cost has always bothered me. Particularly on the issue of how long they last. If they don't last as long as earbuds (generally the Sony ones I usually get last around 18 months) I'm just not prepared to fork over thrice or more the money. I know the difference (my audio engineering friend has been an audiophile for a long time, I've heard the difference on his headphones), but the difference just isn't justified in the cost to me. But I haven't really researched into it much obviously and am quite an audiotech novice anyway. It should be something I should look into but...yreh.
  13. Best thumbnail. Always. I was going to make a fuss about how this is the month I contributed to Project 2012, the topic for which has been dead for months which is upsetting. Especially as there have been, and will be, several awesome pieces for the months. So yeah, I made some art for it. I remember at the time when I finished this that I thought I probably wouldn't like it several months down the track. That's mostly true, but at the same time I reckon it's one of the best pieces I've done. Which isn't saying anything, but yeah. The idea for it was the three Matoran (Nuhrii, Vakama and Jaller) are each forging masks that would end up being significant later on in their own lives. It was inspired solely on the Nuhrii I made for the Big BIONICLE Poster I finished back in January, who was doing just that, forging his future black Kaukau. It was fun to make a full 'set' for the characters, the forge and all that. The drones were also fun to design as well, loosely based off the ones from BIONICLE 2. Anyway yeah, I can see more of the issues that this has that I didn't see before, like I should have made an effort to fix Jaller's lighting, for example. I still like it though because of the amount of satisfaction I had at the time for making it.
  14. I tried this a few days ago, it was pretty neat. I have really no idea what I made, I just kinda got in this zone and built something weird. But yeah, cool idea.
  15. Yes, I'm glad the donation part is now available. It's been well overdue since I last helped this site.
  16. Went to Tassie's west coast, mostly Strahan and places in that region. Really pretty, didn't end up doing much but it was great to see the lovely landscapes around there. So I've explored a good deal of my beloved home state now, which is just as well. Probably the personal highlight for me was a place called Lake Burbury. Turns out it's a man made lake, but all the same it looked gorgeous. "It's like our piece of Canada", my mum said, it was really serene and expansive, lovely. If it wasn't obvious, none of us have been to Canada. I'm still yet to leave the boundaries of this country, sigh.
  17. Whoops, forgot to actually queue on of these. Suppose I'll make this now. It's still Friday somewhere, right? Anyway, this week we're limited to whether the person last visited on a Saturday, so here we go. GreatKhanArtist GreatKhanArtist has 356 posts (5 Star Rating, 28 Profile Views) and joined BZPower 18-August 02. She lives in Calgary, and likes cooking, climbing and creating, among things. Cccccccccccccccool. She last visited on the 24th of March 2012, and her birthday is the 28th of August 1984. Great times. Been a long time since a final banner message didn't use the same gimmick, hooray.

    Brave

I am just flabbergasted that you could say that a film is horrid because it was depressing. That would certainly narrow down the number of good books, films, TV shows and other forms of story-telling that are out there, because guess what, literature can be depressing, very depressing. So can life. Texts shouldn't just be for escapism, it should also be a window into the world. I just...this probably isn't what you meant, I hope, but it just sounds completely absurd that tragedy could be so repulsive to you that it gets in the way of a story. What made Wall-E, Up and TS3 WAS the underlaying tragedy beneath them, and how they either resolve it or come to terms with it. It was then helped by the visuals and humour, particularly the interactions between different characters. Topic at hand, Brave looks boring, and I have no faith that Monsters Uni can be any good, certainly not like the original. I'll probably watch them, but I'm not hearing any good ideas on the horizon from Pixar, which is a shame. Cars 2 was sorta like Incredibles except at least the latter dealt with an interesting idea, super heroes having to live out ordinary lives, whereas Cars 2 was mindless and poorly structured, and no underyling message that I could empathise with. The ability to have something I can empathise with is what was crucial to all the previous Pixar films, not evident in Cars 2. Pixar is serious business.
  19. Guess haven't had much to say. Well, I had my exams, now on holiday, then I'll be gone for a couple of days. Also other stuff that no one would find any interest in. I'll probably make another RBZPotW today to deal with not being able to this Friday, I'll slate it to be posted then though. I hope you're enjoying your summer time, I sure did, it was our best summer in years. It's made this cold winter snap all the more unbearable, though.
  20. This never gets old. Never. String waits with an apple. How can my echo feel the neat stiff? Should whatever daughter rest on top of string? Phoenix leaps. Into the optical editor attends the behind herd. An air shifts without a tailor.
  21. Basically this guy. His name is Phyoohrii, he's pretty cool. he hunted dark hunters and doesn't afraid of anything.Geez, that image is nearly six and a half years old? That's terrifying.
  22. I'm so disappointed in all of you for not mentioning the Nuva Cube. I mean come on.Also, a compromise between BIONICLE and Hero Factory fans...the Hydraxon/Von Nebula helmet? Eh? EH?None of those fit the year though so that's not so good.
