  2. Either way, the Cherubim are the best, and that's that. Seriously, I've been more interested in them than anything else in HS so far, and continue to do so. It's weird, but I don't care. undyingUmbrage soon sqeeeee.
  3. This is a ridiculous time to do this. It's only Friday for 1/6th of the world, give or take. 4. Surely your P's will suffice? I mean, what's the difference really between your P's and your full licence? A much lower accepted Blood Alcohol content, limits to how fast you can go, and displaying your P signs. I don't know what the exact rules are in Victoria, really just basing all that off rules down here, but you know what I mean. None of those really impede what you'd have to do, I'd assume. It'd be really stingy if they didn't let you go any further in the process because of that. That's the future, though. Congrats on getting accepted, and good luck with the full process!

    Ipod Classic

People who know me know that I'm not the biggest fan of Apple. Despite that, I've received 2 Apple products over the years (iPod Classic 80GB and Touch 32GB), and I've used them, because turning down gifts is never a nice thing. But it's fair to say I've sure used them, and become quite attached to them. I don't believe that they're better than other products in the same market (and maybe they're not), but I've never felt the need to replace them because they both still work and do what I want to them to do. What annoys me about recent Apple strategy (in fact, the general strategy of the multimedia market today) is the push of the smart phones and other portable devises that do everything. And by do everything, I mean do everything that I'm not particularly interested in and don't have as much space. A phone for me still is for texting and calling only, I recently acquired my dad's old phone, which is some Nokia that's around 9 years old. None of the other paraphernalia really appeals to me, particularly as my compy does most of that just fine and I don't need to have all this stuff with me all the time. What I do want is an mp3 player, and that's it. And the iPod Classic does that. And you don't hear anymore innovations on that front, the only ones worth talking about in this case would be increasing the size further, to like 240GB or something. But there simply isn't as big a need for it, you've got to go for the flashy all in one stuff. *sigh* We'll be living our lives in the palm of our hands very soon and that makes me sad. I just like the idea of everything have it's own particular uses, so there is a need to move around in physical space and such, rather being totally absorbed with screens. At the same time though I would like the expansion of virtual space for things like digital movie, music, photo and other libraries, while also keeping these virtual storage spaces in physical objects in your possession, rather than the Cloud and stuff like that. ...the problem with me these days is I ramble and I end up supporting both sides of the argument at the same time, sort of? The point of this entry was meant to be "oh cool, they do actually still sell iPod classics, that'll be good if my 80GB ever runs out of space I can get a 160GB one, h'ray!" And somehow it turned into all that. ^^^ Bleh.
  6. Q1: Are you comfortable with the current perks that are available for regular members?Honestly don't know, it's been years and years since I didn't have the PM perks, so I couldn't say. I'm sure they're fine though, I certainly wouldn't feel the need for the extra perks these days. It's just force of habit that I maintain blogs and such.Q2: Should certain benefits given to members in Premier Membership be bestowed upon regular members? And if so, which benefits?I think the poll creation one could be added, if it hasn't already (been a long time since I've checked the PM rules). I dunno, maybe there's some issue of moderation that I'm not seeing.Q3: Since the price of the Premier Membership has increased, is it still worth it for any of the versions of it (6-month, 1-year, Lifetime)? If you're not getting PM without the intention of helping the site, then you probably shouldn't get it. If it's only perks you want, maybe it's not worth it. But that's not the point of PM, it's about helping the site out.Q4: Do you think the current price for any of its versions is worth it for a blog and few other benefits?Probably not, I guess. But again, that's not the point of this. Perks are merely bonuses.Q5: If you are a regular member, do you plan on buying Premier Membership? If you are a premier member but didn't buy Lifetime membership, do you plan on buying it again?I wish I didn't get Lifetime in a way, because I feel I owe the site mroe than the $35USD I payed for it years ago.

    Jake

    This folder is entertaining.
    1. Infrared

      Infrared

Thanks! You've probably been asked this before, but how did you choose the dates that you use for your member increase statistics?

    2. Phyoohrii

      Phyoohrii

Wow, this is a late reply. Haven't been asked that, the dates are only chosen because that was the last time I did that letter. Ie I did the last 'I' entry on 26th of March 2010 (member #99409 'iRONiC'), and the previous on the 2nd of May 2008 (member #36734 'In memory of Aaron').

    3. Infrared

      Infrared

      Okay. Thanks!

  8. Another Friday already? *sigh* My life is so boring. Infrared Infrared has 196 posts (4 Star Rating, 3223 Profile Views) and joined BZPower 25-August 07. He has an avatar with half a silhouetted Hau, and probably likes Ninjago. Particularly as he's a moderator at partner site Ninjago Wiki. He last visited on the 8th of June 2012. Some people call that today, others call it tomorrow. Here's an innocent banner. BZP Member List Trivia: There are (at the time of writing) 265 members starting with I that have more than 10 posts. Of those, only 40 have posted since BZPower has returned from last years upgrade. Another 597 have less than 10 posts. That is a total increase of 34 members since the 26th of March 2010, and 156 members since the 2nd of May 2008.
  9. So basically the Ministry of Love is actually that, right? Terrifying.
  10. Beautiful! Really impressive animation.
  11. Aw, that's a shame. Usually that's what happens to me whenever we have eclipses and such, always raining and cloudy. Today, despite freezing, has been a really great day for it. Lucky your friend got those pics, I'd imagine they'd be gorgeous. That would have been sweet. We're in the privileged position of getting the full transit from beginning to end...but that means no cool sunset/sunrise images. Oh well.

    Blender Stuff

Oh that is nice. Anyone with good Blender skills fills me with awe. I don't mean Blendtec-esque Blender skills.
  13. It's pretty cool. I haven't bothered to make a pinhole camera to watch it, even though I'm in a prime location to do so, so I've been checking the stream every now and again instead. But yeah, very nice to be on this side of the Pacific to have the opportunity to witness it for our scientists and such. So, yeah. We're not getting this opportunity again from over a hundred years...cool.
  14. I liked the flash, I reckon it was worth the wait. And worth the weight...in gold. Also Smeag's music, hooray! Very cool stuff, it's all been very funny and fun so far. Though sad that there won't be any more stuff about great music from yesteryear for a short time...or will there? And now, intoducing, the new friend.....................,GEROMY
  15. Why isn't there a LEGO version of the film clip yet, haha. I mean, we have several Rupert Grint minifigs to work with. [/dumb]

    Acronym Tag

Haha, yeah, you'd probably have to underline everything with an acronym and have a second one or something. The problem is everything now looks important
  17. By voice actors, we do mean the actual dialogue straight from the films, right? Right???Anyway, this is pretty awesome. Epic.
  18. Well that didn't work. HalfWolf HalfWolf has 314 posts (3 Star Rating, 130 Profile Views) and joined BZPower 5-February 06. He has an avatar of Batman, lives in Texas, I'm guessing, and likes aliens and plenty of movies, among things. Rightio. He last visited on the 25th of April 2012, and his birthday is the 29th of August 1995. Yay. Here's a human banner. BZP Member List Trivia: There are (at the time of writing) 296 members starting with H that have more than 10 posts. Of those, only 32 have posted since BZPower has returned from last years upgrade. Another 870 have less than 10 posts. That is a total increase of 18 members since the 16th of July 2010, and 160 members since the 18th of April 2008.
  19. OK, I'm going to take some drastic measures to get me to do some study and such, I'm going to start blocking sites that I frequent so that might force me to actually get stuff done. So I'll be gone for a little while. I'll probably come back sometime during Swot Vac (next week), by which time I should have everything I need to do done, and for some reason I'm a much better studier for exams so I won't need the block then. So yeah, bye guys and gals. ...not that I do much here that my absence will be noticed. ...not that my presence here is particularly relevant to anyone.
  20. Something I whipped up just now, hope more people put up their hands to put entries in. Name: Phyoohrii Additional Images: Just White, Just Black, Shirt Mockups (from Cafepress). Description: The basic idea behind it is as a homage to this. It's doesn't have the finesse and styling of the original but a simpler shading would be better for printing (also I did this quickly). Alternatively it can be even easier by making the logo and writing all one solid colour, either black, white, or any other colour, depending on the colour of the shirt. Black would be the preferable choice, but above there is a range of other shirt colours that I sampled to see how it looked.
