    New Project

    So, in case you haven't noticed, I haven't really been working on comics lately. That's because I started working on a brand new project a while back! I'm not going to say TOO much about it, but I will say this: it's going to be a little different from my usual works.
     
    It's not the best thing in the world, but I whipped up a quick poster just so you have a little idea what to expect:

    Being a regular visitor of the Comics forum, I've pretty much read terrible comics of every variety, from the boring comics injected with failed attempts at humor to the comics which ultimately end up being absolutely hilarious for all the wrong reasons. However, I've always been particularly bitter about comics made with the MNOLG kit. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they're using one of the kit's numerous reuploads (though that makes me a little bitter too, I still can't figure that one out).
     
    I guess seeing the kit reminds me of the days when a friend of mine wrote comics using it (come on, you know who you are). Maybe I'm remembering them to be better than they actually were, or maybe I'm being too hard on myself (because I literally can't think of the comics I made back then without cringing, which is part of why I rebooted them a while back). But honestly, I'm reading his comics again now and I can still say they're better than most of the stuff that goes on here nowadays.
     
    So, yeah, seeing MNOLG comics now makes me bitter, but a lot of that bitterness comes from nostalgia. It was just a carefree time when I was happy and just enjoyed everything I did, no matter how lackluster or terrible it was. And that's probably the thing I miss the most, since it's not something I can really say anymore.
     
    If there's one thing I can safely say I really like more about now than back in the old days, it's that the friends I have now are a lot closer than the ones I had back then. (Come on, you guys should know who you are too.) You guys are all great, and I couldn't ask for better friends even you paid me. And I love getting paid for stuff. Also, I'm better at writing comics. A lot better.
     
    Wow, this spiraled in a different direction quickly. Also, is that a Faxon next to my proto bar? Man, I'm old.

    So I looked at this and thought "Why wasn't this canon?"
     
    Help join the cause to give Vezon an axe for a hand in the story serials! If Greg can magically make old deceased characters alive again, he can at least make this alternte set portrayal exist.
     
    And by the way, it won't be a shield, it will actually be the blade of an axe replacing his hand. Shields are so generic. Also, if this is confirmed, it will have to have existed for the past six years, starting with Kardas' first appearance.

    I have returned, PIRAKA SCUM! And once again, I, TOA IGNITER, have hijacked PIRAKA VEZOK'S blog in order to start an ASK COLUMN to secretly find information on where you are keeping the TOA INIKA!
     
    So if you, the PIRAKA menace, are bold enough to challenge the great hero TOA IGNITER, then ask me QUESTIONS!

    Okay so this is kind of a story, I guess.
     
    See, I don't care about the Ninjago story at all. I just like the spinners.
     
    It's really unfortunate that they're never in stock for very long. And even worse is there are so many greedy scumbags out there buying them all up to sell them online for outrageous prices.
     
    I am NOT paying eighty-eight dollars for NRG Jay. Just sayin'.

    I Just Realized

    The staff forgot to review Witch Doctor last year.
     
    Now what will I do!? I can't sleep at night without knowing the staff's opinions on this old retired no-longer-in-production Hero Factory set that I already have! This is an upset in the balance and order of the universe! I'm seriously freaking out here! Quick, someone on the staff go review it! I don't care if it's a lengthy review or just "It sucks." The universe can't go on without some sort of Witch Doctor review!
     
    On an unrelated note, I'm sort of tempted to find out exactly how many blog entries there are titled "I Just Realized". I only say "half-tempted" because I figure I'd give up before I reach the first hundred thousand.

    I don't like tater tots.
     
    I like mashed potatoes and I'm starting to love fries again, but tater tots? Bleh.
     
    Maybe I just don't care for deep-fried foods. I despise hush-puppies, and that's tough if you live around where I do.
     
    So yeah.

    AHA! In my quest to find the TOA INIKA I, TOA IGNITER have kidnapped PIRAKA VEZOK and put him in a DARK CLOSET in my SECRET BASE! Thus, I am back to answer your UNANSWERED QUESTIONS, PIRAKA!
     
    Now ask away, PIRAKA! Ask QUESTIONS or face the wrath of my ZAMOR SPHERE LAUNCHER!

    Ironically, it was probably the easiest day in school I've had in a long, long time. We watched a bunch of movies and had a sub in one class. Basically, we pretty much did nothing. The irony is stunning.
     
    ...But I still avoided walking under ladders so I wouldn't jinx it.

    This is from a topic on BIONICLE-based dreams. By now, it's ancient, and I've already shown this to a few people, but I really love pointing this one out.
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
    There's more to this- WAY more to this. I think I got up to like sixty "episodes" or something, and I don't even believe that's half of them. I also seriously doubt these are actual dreams.

    I sorta fit with the theme of the staff name-change fad. Sorta.
     
    Even though I was parodying two people who added "Sweetroll Thief" to their usernames. (Actually, it's one now, as far as I can tell.)
     
    Either way, I'll definitely change back to just Gerlicky once the 45-day waiting limit is up.

    Because in that BZPowercast feedback poll, I mentioned that it forced me to answer how I download it when I actually never download it, so I had to say I buy it off of iTunes or something.
     
    Now you have the option to say you don't listen to it.
     
    Now I know the staff actually DO listen to the lesser folk who they believe to be dumber than a sack of hammers. I feel empowered.

    Part of me wants to drum up an entry so there'll at least be some competition.
     
    The other part knows I'm awful at writing mysteries.
