IC: Nunonu Nunonu exited the hut and began walking to the mines. "That's me. Lots of things to fix down here, no offense to our miners but...they break stuff a lot." He said as he got a foul look from a random Onu-Matoran. Shrugging towards him he continued walking. "So, what do you find yourself doing on a daily basis? What's the play by play for a Toa of.." He drifted off, thinking of what the Toa had said earlier to no avail.

Which Hero Factory set did you purchase or obtain first?
KCGR replied to Rooster Nui's topic in Hero Factory Discussion
Stormer 2.0 for me, I'm a sucker for the white / blue color scheme -
IC: Nunonu Nunonu looked down at the drill he was carrying, investigating what could have been wrong with it. It looks fine...Hm... Checking the power supply he sighed and shook his head. "Uh, no gear, just give me a moment....this drill is fine, just dead on power." Moving swiftly throughout his hut Nunonu navigated the chaos as only the creator of it could. Before long he had plucked a spare drill power supply from somewhere in the hut and clicked it into the drill, he gave it a quick test and was satisfied when it spun up fully functional, that feeling left fairly quickly however as he began to second guess himself. "Hopefully that's all that was wrong." He said, unsure of himself. Slinging the drill across his shoulder he turned back to the Toa "That was an easier fix then normal, although not the first time it's happened." As if it took the statement as a challenge, the drill suddenly spun a bit and puffed a few sparks. "Ow! ow." Nunonu exclaimed before setting the drill against the wall. "Uh..I'll fix that later." He hung his head for a second. "Wasn't supposed to be back today anyway, I've got time." "Now about that trip to the mine. We can head out now if you're ready." Nunonu said, avoiding eye contact and feeling a bit embarrassed.

IC: Nunonu "Good to meet you, Casanuva. I'm Nunonu." He said as he glanced over his shoulder. After a couple minutes of walking Nunonu stopped at a hut that had a empty box out front with a sign reading 'Will attempt repair on drills and other equipment, pay only if fixed.' "Here we are." Unlocking the door, Nunonu entered the house, which was quite cluttered with bits and pieces of all sorts of equipment about everywhere one would look.
-
IC: Nunonu Nunonu rubbed the back of his head. "Can't be much help with a electromagnet, but I'd be happy to guide you to the mines after I drop off this drill at my hut." He said as he begun to walk away from the scene towards the general direction of his hut. "Come on, It's on the way."
-
IC: Nunonu Nunonu felt a tap on his head, turning around he saw a Toa. "Hey there. You a miner?" The Onu-Matoran wondered why he would be mistaken for a miner for a brief moment before looking down at the drill he had to repair. "Huh? Oh, the drill." He said "No no, I repair things around town. Mostly drills like this one." He looked the Toa up and down, noting the somewhat unusual color scheme. "Figures that I deliver one drill and they've already got another one for me to fix." Nunonu said with a sigh. "At least it's work though. But besides that, do you have any ideas what happened here?"

(Image will link to gallery when public.) This is my interpretation of good old Teridax as he appeared in the Toa Empire alternate universe, who was not given any description except that he wears a Hau instead of his normal mask. So I decided to pool my three Toa Iruini parts and make this guy. Front View I was heavily inspired by the newest live action Transformers film's Optimus Prime design at the time, which led to the almost knightly / samurai armoring. Back View Under all the armor plating, he's mostly just a Phantoka Makuta build, but that's due to my own incompetence at custom torsos / limbs. Staff Could have made a better weapon, but I was constraining myself from using silver pieces. The Resistance Also pictured are a generic Inika build of Takanuva, and a Pohatu Mata built to the size of modern day sets. Thank you very much for clicking on this thread and looking at my MOC! Feedback appreciated.

((OOC: Heya, I'm new here to the RP forum)) IC: Nunonu Nunonu was just returning from delivering a repaired drill to a mine when he saw what appeared to be a collapsed building. I'm..pretty sure that wasn't there when I left. he thought to himself. Walking closer to the building he noticed a variety of stretchers leaving the scene. "What happened here? This doesn't look like a scheduled building demolition.." He said aloud to nobody in particular, attempting to keep his distance so the medically trained could do their jobs.

Name - Nunonu Appearance - A Pre-Rebuilding Matoran with a powerless orange great Pakari, black torso / arms, and orange feet.Gender - MaleEquipment - A screwdriver set, small welding torch, wirecutters, and a soldering iron. All of which he keeps in a backpackTechnological items - NoneWeakness(es) Weak as far as physical might goes, even for Matoran standards. and his naive and curious personality could often lead him into trouble. Little to no combat skillAlignment - Neutral, could be swayed depending on how persuasive one is.History - The story of Nunonu is not a interesting one. A simple Onu-Matoran who is trying to make it as a inventor. He's no Nuparu however despite the resemblance, and instead works as a local repairman, with a drop box outside his hut. He doesn't charge much for the services, saying people who need things repaired should pay however much they think it is worth.Personality - Naive, curious but not one for putting his foot down, he will back down from conflict more times then not, unless he is personally invested in one side or another. Nunonu means well though, even dropping the charge on some of his repairs if the individual can't afford it.Traits & things to note - Young for a Matoran. Favors his left hand -------------------------------- Name - Angitu Appearance - Grey and orange Toa of Iron, looks more heavily armored then he actually is, wears a sleek black visored helmet over a Kakama, his fingers of all things are completely unarmored except for the middle digit of each hand, those are completely mechanical. He says that it's for a better grip on weapons.Gender - MaleEquipment - A combat knife and a blue wrist mounted shield made from a undersea creature's carapace which gives it the effect of glowing an aqua color in the dark and flaring that color when impacted with something, besides being flashy it is just a regular shield. Wears a Mask of Speed under his helmet.Technological items - None, although his helmet may look it, it is purely aestheticWeakness(es) - His ego and need to monologue will mean he leaves himself open to attack if he believes he has beaten someone. His armor and shield are quite lightweight, meaning it could easily be puncturedAlignment - Neutral, is easily tempted by money.History - Angitu has very few memories from before his time on the island, he woke up in the water off the coast of Ga-Wahi, where he almost was food for the creature you now see him carry around as a shield. He found his way to Ga-Koro afterwards, he then enlisted as a Ga-Koronan Marine. He eventually grew bored of the life, saying quote "I'm still in my prime! There's so much more I could -do-" He soon after left the marines, ditching them for the private sector, working as a freelancing mercenary who drifts between Koros looking for work.Personality - Self described as "The charismatic mercenary" Angitu isn't exactly what you'd call modest, boasting and the like. If he finds a cause that he truly can see is good, he will fight for it, hard. That's pretty unusual though for the most part he'll fight for whoever can either pay him the most or who amuses him the most. He's a pretty big dork when he's by himself though, complimenting himself and thinking everything he does is awesome.Traits & things to note - He really -really- likes his helmet, rarely taking it off.(Shield and Helmet both approved by Nuju Metru) EDIT Reason: Added minor appearance detail to Angitu & backstory

which bionicle sets from 2006 you liked the most
KCGR replied to Tahu3.0's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Brutaka, although Nuparu, Vezon and Fenrakk get a special mention as very fun sets. -
If we're talking actual figures, that's a tough one. Probably Maxilos, because he had some sweet weapons and a pet. If we're talking characters, I feel like if I retained my knowledge of the storyline and just became said character, I'd choose Teridax because I think I could dodge a moon.
-
Alright, should be fairly obvious who I chose (It was Teridax.). But that's just because he's the villain I grew up on. However, if I didn't have a soft spot for Ol Terry my choice would have been Krika because the idea of a Makuta who has at least some morals is a interesting one to me.

What did Greg Farshtey De-canonize Hewkii x Macku?
KCGR replied to Banana Gunz's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
I can't remember the exact reasoning, but I believe it was due to the Matoran being nanomachines in the Great Spirit Robot they don't need the ability to love. That said, I deny that fact and will continue to ship Hewkii/Macku, which answers your second question- 48 replies

10201 Takutanuva because it has all the parts from two of the first sets I owned, and it has that neat movie edition Mask of Shadows

From the experiences I've seen with shapeways and selling third party stuff, generally you'd want to avoid words copyrighted by LEGO. Let's take the Inika masks as an example, you could make a non-organic version of the Calix and the key words to avoid using would be Calix, BIONICLE, LEGO, Inika, etc. Most Shapeways sellers will come up with their own name for something, even though the people buying it would know it is in fact referencing something else

For me it really depends on how you define first, The first BIONICLE merchandise I came across was the Huki Mctoran back when I was a young'n. My brother was really the one who would get the actual sets, due to me being very young at the time. I grew up second-hand experiencing the Bohrok and the Toa. But the first sets I owned that were mine? That belongs to Takanuva and Ussanui, Makuta, and the Lerahk. Got all of them for some type of special occasion, can't remember if it was birthday or otherwise.

Does anyone go through the archives?
KCGR replied to randomreviewerbros's topic in General Discussion
Going through the old set review archives used to be one of my past times on BZP. I think there was a point in time I had read all of the reviews dating back to the first one, but that time has past. -
Are there many members who read but rarely post?
KCGR replied to Oroki's topic in General Discussion
I've been here for 7 years now, which is really weird to think about, by the way. Never could get into the actively posting thing, I tried when I was younger but it sorta ended up with a bunch of stuff I'm embarrassed to look back on. However - with the 13th anniversary, my own 7th anniversary, and the rumors of BIONICLE returning. I think i'm going to make a effort to post again. -
I first heard reference of this site on the LMB around 2007, and stumbled my way onto it not too long after.

I'm quite partial to the Kanoka Launchers, although the Zamor Launchers are surely my favorite design wise. If I had to choose, I'd probably choose Kanoka because something about the look of Vakama's Firey-jetpack-disk-launcher just hit all the right things to make me like it

I personally don't see much of a parallel between the Rebels main characters and the original trio from the footage we've seen so far. But as said above, nobody can really tell until the series airs. Either way, I'm looking forward to it, was a big fan of TCW and even though it started a bit rough, it exceeded my expectations later in the series. Always been interested in exploring the years before A New Hope too, so Rebels has got me on board with that aspect.

I remember the Kanoka Club the most fondly, I still remember getting codes for it from the sets.

Thanks for the input!, Yeah, I can see where you are coming from with the armor. But I kind of did take some inspiration from the live-action Transformers movies, so thats probably where that came from. Also, rubberbands are amazing for functionality. I think some people just don't like using non-LEGO parts, but then again they do have LEGO rubberbands so..idk why they aren't used much.

Hey guys!, So I've been working on this for a couple days now.Pic 1.As you can see, It's a sort of power gauntlet thing that I made for my arm, it includes a rubberband based function where I can flick my wrist and the blade / projectiles will come up towards my hand, a Thornax launcher on the top of the wrist, the blade can lock in the down position by pushing the blade in between the two ball joints on the underside of the gauntlet. And it is completely made out of BIONICLE pieces except the rubberbands and old sock I attached it too. More pics below.Pic 2.Pic 3.Pic 4.Pic 5.Pic 6.Anyway, thanks for looking, feedback would be appericated

If I can recall correctly, we've gotten a grey-trex in a bag, tan cat in a bag, black cat in a bag, a turtle pack and some purely cosmetic valiants for the new specs, i.e space ranger, shinobi, etc, as for howto get, you pretty much just have to be on at the right time, they mail random things out.-Masbts, The blubbery overlord
