French nails (also called french manicure) means painting your fingernails so that it looks rather natural - including painting that white line where the nail extends oner the finger. And that line gets all wiggly and weird quite easily D:

No you're not. You just don't really need to actually add any to your drawings. When it comes to being in a cave, its obviously suppose to be dark, which you did well. When it comes to your author/author's Bionicle representation comics your backgrounds don't really need to be all flashy anyway since you draw doorways and walls anyway. Makes it look like a realistic house.
