He was moving his game piece, which is the car-shaped one, to a space occupied by another player's hotel piece. He was low on Monopoly money, and the amount he has left happened to be exactly how much he has to pay. Therefore, he knows he's bankrupt.

Otherwise I stare at them blankly and/or just barely restrain my annoyance. EDIT: Btw, it's spelled H-E-L-R-Y-X. I still don't know how people are constantly getting it wrong where I'm involved. =P I've noticed that a lot as well. If the author can portray that in a clever way, it's funny, but otherwise (and a lot of the times) it gets old.

Yeah, Taka's pretty good. I just wished she'd post more comics, but given that her comics are purely hand-drawn and the fact that it takes longer to make quality drawings (even more difficult if she's like me and has a busy schedule), I can understand why. And wow, people sure seem to be warmer to my idea than I thought they would. XP

Funny you should mention this just now, because I am at this time working on a comic series. Although, this one is mostly serious and is pretty much an epic graphic novel/manga type (released in installments) that is hand-drawn. However, I am planning to release a regular comic strip type series along with it, though I haven't figured out whether I should put them in the same topic or in seperate ones. Guess it all comes down to how active I am with the humor series. The "comic strip" series would also be hand-drawn, mainly because I suck at digital manipulation, but I may throw in some sprite comics if I either a) find time to figure out GIMP or B) find out if it's possible to make sprite comics on Corel. For anyone interested, I've begun work on the first chapter and should begin publishing when I get to the 2nd or 3rd. [/blatantselfplug] @MirMir: Well, I guess we could make super impressive comics and advertise them in our siggies with really impressive graphics (or really cute characters). ... Eh, pathetic and uncreative. >_<;

I ditched my retainer before a year was up (though I was close), partially because I constantly forgot to put them back on after taking them off and partially because they were getting gross no matter how much I brushed them. With the exception of this one tooth that didn't finish growing until after braces and retainer, my entire top row is still straight.

Not really. Although, it is kind of annoying when you forget to take them out when you eat. And then, they get kind of disgusting after a while (think plaque, except it's stuck on an object). Brushing the retainers along with your teeth helps, but mine somehow always look bad, which is a pity since it was such a pretty shade of blue, though not as pretty as the one I used for my braces. As a side note, I never had braces on my lower jaw, so I have no idea how retainers feel down there.

Heheh, I still remember how long it felt before I could get rid of my braces... ... And then, I had to put up with my retainer for several more months. Have fun when you get yours; especially since unlike me, you'd be getting them on the top and bottom.

Now I can finally get a nice look at your comics (I wasn't active at the same time they were), with the bonus of creator commentary.

I think nearly all the finalists look awesome, but I think Arya's has the more "special" feel, if you know what I mean. *sigh* I've already voted. Time to break out the sockpuppets!

Aww, they're so cute! I think I like Surge the best (which is odd, given he isn't normally my favorite Hero), and Furno's expressions are so adorable. However, I kinda have a problem with the way Breez looks, mainly because when her head turns, it looks two-dimensional. And, did you just give her the "awesome face"?!
