  1. Hey Darcy! You're a disembodied head! XDLol. Now, if you could do that for FPSes and teach it to me, I won't ever have to worry about sucking at them again.
  2. Took some inspiration from a certain dA artist's My Little Alchemist series (FMA ponies, FTW!) and thought I should annoy a few anti-bronies (since I'm always snarking on the bronies). Anyways, I decided to mess with Kopaka since everyone loves him so much. Also my little experiment on the biomechanical style for my future Bionicle-related drawings.http://www.brickshel...oa_-_kopaka.jpgYeah, I know some parts aren't that great. And I probably made him look more like the Predator or something. And the spikes were originally intended to be round beads, but i changed my mind after I finished them. Some of them are badly drawn, but I've since mended them on the original picture (and I'm not feeling OCD enough to rescan). Anyways, let the flame war commence!

    City Of Wraiths

I tend to disagree; at least for these first few pages, the formal tone helped bring it across as stiff and a bit uncomfortable, which is what the dialogue and characters conveyed as well.I do think you should switch it in later pages if you don't plan on maintaining the overly-serious tone. Natural-looking handwriting would fit better. I wish you the best of luck. I'll agree with you on that, actually. Good point.Lol. And no one noticed the font changed after the first page. But then, Baskerville and Poor Richard are very similar...:PAnyways, I'm planning on giving non-Wraith characters Sans Serif font while the Wraiths keep the serifs. What do you think of that?

    City Of Wraiths

Thank you all for your comments. Sorry I didn't get here sooner, but I had a very busy week, and I was only able to come on for a few short moments. I know I should really let Kyori answer this, but...I asked her once if she would like me to digitally color the comic, and she declined, saying she'd prefer to keep it black and white, "at least for now".Yeah, now I remember. I may at least color the cover art, if I ever find time. But feel free to color any of my pages. I'd like to see how you color. This applies to anyone interested. Thank you for the review, Kakaru. Yeah, I seem to remember Miraka pointing the same thing out about a year ago when I showed my cast members an early version of page one. But I never had a problem loading and viewing the pages. I guess it depends on the computer. But I promise I'll reduce the image sizes before posting them in the future. And bleh, I know about the stupid speech bubbles (especially the last one on Page 2 ). I had underestimated the amount of space the font would take up (I hate going below 10 point, btw) and am taking measures to prevent that in later chapters (and being more concise with dialogue; now I know why professional comics have such brief lines =P). Cropping: Trust me, I've already cropped off as much of Page 1 as I dare; but I all but forgot for the next two (which I scanned recently, which is a year after the first)And I'm so glad to see people liking my backgrounds, especially considering how I nearly went insane drawing the details. XD I'm going to avoid that location for a good while (or at least use somewhat less detail). On a different note: did anyone notice that transparency effect I used for Orpheus (guy with the Arthron)?

    City Of Wraiths

About a year ago, I suddenly came up with an idea to do a graphic novel/manga type fantasy comic series. I finished the prologue within a month, then I got a case of writer's block (writer's block for later parts of the script). Didn't help that the site went down for months. And then I lost my drive completely. Now it's back for the time being and while I'm still not done with chapter 1, I just thought I should at least put up the prologue. And yes, I am aware of how awfully cliched it is; it's making me cringe right now. =P Anyways, I'll post a complete lore later, but I'll just give you the basic concept. It's set in a Bionicle-like universe populated mainly by Matoran. There are also Toa and Turaga among others, but they are few and far between. There are also phantom-like beings known as Reapers (or Wraiths) and Ghouls (colloquially known as "Soul Eaters" due to their taste for - you guessed it - souls). Wraiths can control elemental Shadow and one other Toa element and can take on whatever shape they please (typically Toa or Matoran, but others are also known to happen). Ghouls are similar to Wraiths, but they are feral and their only ability is to sense spirits and tear souls out of living bodies. I'll establish the story as we go along. For now, please do enjoy the Prologue. Cover Art Prologue Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Omake If I get artist's block again or have too little time or just feel like it, I might include some "non-canon" humorous segments featuring the story's character (like what some mangaka do). Also where I stick people I have no idea what to do with. Cast Along with characters I imagine, I also use actual BZPers in this series. If you like, I can include you, though I can't guarantee when you'll make an appearance (if at all). Just PM me with an image or detailed description of how you want your character to look as well as a bio. Listed here are my present cast (if they have appeared, what chapter they first appear in is listed next to their name).Kyori: Yours truly, I'm in the Prologue, the she-Wraith with a KauKau. I'll only be making minor appearances from here on out, though.Thylon: TBAShadix: TBAMiraka: TBAEvo: TBALord Oblivion: TBAEveryone else came from my skull. If I had sent you the invitation PM and you had accepted, but I forgot you, please let me know via PM. Credit Bionicle is owned by LEGO.Original Characters are owned and drawn by me.Credit to Evo (currently The First Evo) for coming up with the original Shadow Reaper and Soul Eater concepts.
  6. *refrains from FMA:B spoiler* But I will say they aren't looking at him. ;)On-topic: olook a fuzzy bird puppet
  7. Nothing like a good run in cold weather just before an exam because some professor got mixed up and took our exam room during our exam time. And might I add it was ORGANIC CHEMISTRY!

  9. Heheh, ponies...Lol Pytza stopping you from doing something you weren't gonna do.On a different note, your feet don't match the rest of you (finally could see something =P I wish Photobucket was allowed).
  10. Granted, but it's furry, and you now have angry PETA people mobbing you. I wish for pony meat. XP
  11. What's "Pride's Melancholy"? Someone please explain? Can't find it on Google.On-Topic: Granted, but now they literally take forever to come out.I wish people would quit lumping bad anime dubs with the good.
  12. Granted, but you are now swarmed by hungry lolcats.I wish the next person would explode. =P
  13. This could be interesting. I've got something in mind, but I don't know if I would have the time for it (Junior year in college is one of the busiest times). Plus, I'm already commited to a private work (soon to be posted). Is there a minimum and/or maximum length?
  14. Bleh, I somehow misunderstood your first post. I think I would be more inclined to watch Ninjago if it were anime-style (provided they're not still minifigs). I don't really care at the moment. =P
  15. It's CGI. Even Avatar: The Last Airbender isn't really anime, despite the style (it's "anime-influenced"). Anime is also not entirely CGI, there has to be some form of traditional animation. However, in Japan, everything is anime, and the category we've given it is purely Western in origin. Heck, I have a hard time distinguishing anime and Western animation when I'm speaking Mandarin (they are also called the same thing). But, per the western view, I would say no, it is CGI. It's not even animated in Japan, and has no Japanese or even Asian origin.
  16. I had no idea Lysaku was female until the second comic. Lol the reactions to the pony. And enough with the XRM hating, people! It's not that bad. Still, look forward to seeing what else you in store.
  17. Hello L, Kyori/Twilight here (don't know how many people remember me). Finally found the forums again. I'll get to the brickshelf comics later, when brickshelf is working again. The deviant one was funny. That sure gives a new meaning to "war horse". =P Just so you all know, I'm neutral on MLP, and will throw something snarky in either direction, so don't take any pony-related comments too seriously.
  18. Haven't had any in forever.TPBM is an otaku.
  19. Off-topic: I highly recommend Brotherhood. It's completely faithful to the manga and of course as such has an excellent plot (I don't really care for the first anime). Firs 39 eps are on Netflix (dubbed), and i think all the episodes are on Funimation's [nope] (both sub and dub).On-Topic: Yes. Used to love watching it.TPBM knows what Zoids is.
  20. Nope. Not yet anyway.TPBM likes Fullmetal Alchemist.
  21. Loaded with work. x.x

    Doomsday

Oddly enough, the forums didn't work for me at the times some of these posts are dated. Anyways, I'm back on BZP, and catching up. First off, like how Season 1 was resolved. Second, you two nutjobs are as funny as ever. Third, I knew you had a sister (I think some of us BZPwers, including yours truly, caught her on Skype once), I didn't know you had more than one. =P Last, I'll get back to you after I catch up.EDIT: Caught up. Poor Jolly. DX On another note, when did you become a brony? >=P Your avvie looks like the ponified version of Edward Elric. On yet another note, when did half of BZP turn into bronies?! o_0
