  1. It's only been really slow in the past couple of years. Once the swarm of new players come, we'll go back to the five+ pages a day norm.
  2. IC: (Weiss) "One of our own was captured by the heathens in the earlier battle," Weiss said. "A small group of remaining guards are holed inside of an armory with him. Come, Sir Knight, help us free him!" He pointed the way. OOC: That's Ira.
  3. IC: (Weiss) The Lesterin was a grotesque sight indeed. He had lips chewed off, hundreds of scars along his body, some fresh, a metal clamp, flecked with rust, constrained his head. He knew not what happened to the being, but it seemed that he had went through a deal of pain. Upon hearing the word 'Blackrock' he knew the Lesterin was not lying. The canyon was sacked so long ago, he thought, only one among the current Brotherhood had went through it. But this being, he managed to both survive the sacking and miss out upon the group that fled to Darkmine. Unfortunate indeed. As for the clamp and lips, he saw validation of Grandmaster Makron's legendarily painstaking conversions. "The Brotherhood is alive, Sir Zenithex, praise Ak'rei'an that you escaped such an ordeal with your soul. We are fair in numbers, and allied as equals with the Makuta servants and Piraka warlords against Mata Nui's tyranny. Have you any more questions, Sir Knight? Or will you join to help us secure the village?"
  4. OOC: I'm impressed. IC: (Weiss/Ko-Koro Streets) His fellow Brothers were busy securing the east, attacking the cavalry building. The west was under the domain of the Makuta servants, and their prisoner thugs. Weiss had been sent quickly back near the front, to check if any Matoran were escaping from the ruins of the gate. He found one, certainly. It was a Matoran, Patero-armed, dead and slaughtered by a red-armored being some distance away. The Toa carefully came forward, holding his glaive tightly. The Matoran's corpse, he saw, was mutilated and partially defiled. It made the veteran cultist squirm just slightly. Coming closer, he saw the being was writing upon the wall messages in blood: Praise Ak'rei'an Ak'rei'an is salvation He hadn't seen the being before, and had no idea why he knew of Ak'rei'an. Weiss had to know, "Turn, killer! I am Sir Weiss of The Brotherhood of Ak'rei'an, why do you know of the glorious Archangel!" He kept the point of the blade towards Zenithex.
  5. IC: (Senavysh Angavur) "So many people indeed," she said. "But might I ask, why are you searching? Is it for leisure or requirement?"
  6. IC: (Mons Shajs) "Disciplines, I'a meant..."
  7. IC: (Mons Shajs) "What'er tha other powers, might'a I ask?" Shajs said, recovering his composure. "An'a are ya limited ta one?"
  8. IC: (Senavysh Angavur/Imperial Library/Sado) It was sad how little the Imperials paid attention to this place, Sena thought. She had made it a goal for herself to visit the Imperial Library every time she came to Sado. Be it once, twice or a dozen times. She always was in awe of it, a vast collection of knowledge, of experience, of words. The names of countless Toroshu, clans living, clans gone, tactics and poems alike. Among her people, the village library was a place of tradition of thought. The Taajar had a rich literary tradition, despite what some ignorant Imperials might think. Epics and poems, tactical guides and almanacs, biographies and histories. The latter were especially coveted, she thought, to remind clans of the glories of the past, and keep the memory of it alive. In this Library, there was a large section (Relatively) filled with Taajar texts. There was studies by Imperial scholars about them, their histories, and their tactics (Something she had a deep interest in), there were donated texts in Vulgar Taa, sent as part of tribute to the crown in the past, and finally there was the ancient tomes. Hidden in an old part of the building was a vast collection of books and scrolls, completely priceless. Religious texts, early versions of the modern sagas, and manuscripts written by the court writers of the Xhanoks. All were in Old Taa, and all were taken long ago after the defeat of her people. Some were from clans destroyed by wars, against both the Imperials and themselves. Some, like a fragile version of her clan's de facto epic, The Crystal Hewers, were taken as spoils from the remaining clans. It saddened her, but she was thankful at the least the Imperials didn't leave them to turn to dust. As Sado was tearing itself apart, she had found a degree of refuge in here. As it was either read in the library, or go into her quarters for her own safety. She couldn't really leave the city until she paid tribute the Rora, as according to the old treaties. So she decided to make use of her free time to read up on tactics of the old world. She had with her texts from rather obscure modern scholars, about Taajar and Imperial strategies in ancient times. She thought she would read the modern texts first, as she was still in the process of learning the intricacies of Old Taa from her sister back home. She was sitting at a table, away from another figure, an Imperial near middle-age, with a intellectual demeanor. She noticed her going about, picking up dozens of encyclopedias, to her mind, looking for something with a disheartened look. Might as well help. So Sena got up, and asked Nihonei: "... I couldn't help but notice you are looking a tad disheartened," she said, in near perfect Imperial. "Are you looking for something special? I know this place well, and could help look for it, if you want?"
  9. Mangai Expedition Wiki Page is up. If you don't have your character there, put him/her on to the list. And also, the events page needs updates, by someone with a better memory than I.
  10. IC: (Mons Shajs) The Skakdi jumped back an inch in shock. "T-that'sa-amazin'!"
  11. IC: (Mons Shajs) "Mighta I ask, but whataya mean by 'disciplines', sword-fightin' techniques, or somethin' else?" Shajs asked.
  12. How many Piraka are around Onu-Koro? And when are they attacking?
  13. IC: (Mons Shajs) "Brothers they a'were. Makuta grew jealous o'er tha Matoran's affection fer Mata Nui, 'an put im inta a deep slumber, bea'for history began ta be recorded" Shajs said feeling somewhat strange telling the story. "'e declared 'imself ruler o'er that island. But tha Turaga, tha previous leaders of'a our lands, rightfull'a declared 'im a thief and mongrel, an' held onta faith 'in Mata Nui. They'a said six Toa would com'an rescue tha island from Makuta's grasp. 'An long before'a I came ta thisa land, they did. Tha First Toa came indeed, but unforun'a'ly, they died fightin' him, 'an Makuta retained dominance o'er the island 'til the Maru destroyed 'im in tha black heart'o Mangaia."
  14. ESTP, Assertive Explorer. Not what I expected, by hey, I'll roll with it...
  15. Saw Fury and Big Hero 6 on the same day, both were good. Big Hero Six: I was honestly surprised, and can say It's my second favorite Marvel film this year. While it had a number of clichés, I found them easy to overlook. It was the funniest Disney film I've seen in a while (Superior to Wreck-It-Ralph in that regard) and it had a cast of enjoyable characters. I didn't take it seriously, but it was an hour not wasted. 8/10 Fury: A pretty good, and honestly unrelenting film. The actors were excellent, and it really captured the little terrors of being trapped inside a mass-produced steel box on treads. And also, it rather much restored my faith in Shia LaBeuof as a decent actor. 9/10.
  16. IC: (Mons Shajs) Being once upon a time a pirate captain, Shajs was a deal more in tune with the darker side of Mata Nui. Or at the vary least, what it once was. He never was a Makuta servant, as back then he felt no reason to align himself to anything but his own ship. But several of his crewmen were, and he'd known, and conversed with them often during his frequent trips to Xa-Koro. Shajs knew the type and knew many of their reasons. And everyone of them was dead, many by his own hand in his service with the Marines. He had many years back went from indifference to seething hatred of Makuta and his servants quite fast. Something all those histories he studied later on enforced. "Ta' say Makuta wus a being is 'bout tha best description ya can give. Too vile ta be consider'a god, an' too powerful ta be consider'a a King. He'a corrupited scores 'o Rahi ta 'is whims, sent 'is a-so-called sons ta' attack innocents, an'a convinced scores 'o loonies, malcontents 'an terrorists ta follow 'im. The Koros fought 'is forces fer o'er a thous'und years, 'til tha Maru a'sent 'im ta his final judgement... 'ell, we're still havin' ta deal with straggalars from 'is forces ta this vary day!"
  17. I wouldn't sent any character in until the new order comes into effect.
  18. IC: (Tarotrix) He'd luckily eaten only a small bite. "I've seen fruit spiked with far more potent intoxicants, to be honest."
  19. Echelon and his merry men The Nightfall are in complete control of the Sanctum. The Brotherhood is forcing the remaining population of the Koro into house imprisonment, and have virtually secured the city. To the point, it's unofficially New Xa-Koro.
  20. IC: (Tarotrix) The Colonel gave a small grin at the scurvy remark, and took a grapefruit. It was remarkably fresh, he thought.
  21. IC: (Mons Shajs) The Skakdi tagged along, to the side of the group. He paid attention to both the discussions and his surroundings, just in case. Hearing that they came from a distant, clannish Empire piqued his interest, however. As despite his rather rough manner of speaking, Shajs was quite educated. From the disparity between the genders among the foreigners, a question began to build in his mind. "Pard'un, ma'am, but ar'a there a'more women than men in yer lands?"
  22. From pain comes enlightenment, my son...
  23. Similar to pets, in regards to status. A Brotherhood character can be created with a zombie, or gain one after conversion. Unlike Rahi, however, Zombies are held together by magic, posses a reasonable degree of intelligence, semi-autonomy and Turaga-level elements. It comes at the cost of an element or mask power, or a similar power if they are Lesterin or Skakdi. On the same note, if one has any characters in Ko-Koro you want converted send me a PM, and they can join the new, righteous order. Or part of it.
  24. Not really my life, truthfully, but I'll give the BIONICLE books some credit for getting me more into reading. Which led me going to BZP, which has honestly helped me expand my writing abilities and improved my literacy.
