  1. UPDATE: Tahu and Kopaka are now sold, Protector of Ice, Onua and Protector of Earth has been traded. Only the Protector of Fire is left! And here are the trades I'll consider: 1 Protector (maybe 1 Toa) for 1 Trans-Orange Kraata 1 Protector for 1 NYCC Trans-clear Hau There's other trades I would consider (the two I've stated trade conditions for are my main targets!), as said I'm interested in the infected Hau, the poisoned Hau Nuva (any of the variants), Chrome Hau (MUST be in near-mint condition - no missing chrome), Protodermic Nuva masks (not Kaukau or Miru), Shadow Kraata (not Stage 1), all 36 other Kraata variations and the Hero Factory Recon chest piece, as long as their value and my asking prices line up. I'd also consider rare sealed polybags such as 40117 Villains Minimodel, though these are low priority. Parts need to be new or excellent used condition. I'd prefer trades within Europe, but I'm happy to trade worldwide _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hi all I would like to offer for trade or sale, 6 Gen 2 Bonicle sets, new and sealed (Tahu Master of Fire, Onua Master of Earth, Kopaka Master of Ice, Protector of Fire, Protector of Earth, Protector of Ice) which have all been signed by the designers. I won these as part of the BFTGM contest (see here - I know it's not the best image, and no the MOC is not for sale , but I'll put up some clearer photos should anybody request them) so I can guarantee they're authentic. They do have slight damage but that's due to shipping and the way the boxes are designed) I know only a handful of each exists, but recently I have come to a situation where I sadly need to part with these collectable items. I've never traded here before, but I have impeccable Bricklink feedback and have done several positive trades on Brickset's forums, and one positive trade on Eurobricks. Price - I'm not sure how much these are worth, maybe someone who's a bit more of an expert in the field can enlighten me - all I can say is it'll be over the UK RRP. I'm in the UK, but I'm happy to sell/trade internationally within reason (I will only send these Signed For or Guaranteed within the UK, Royal Mail ITS (or similar) internationally). Please be warned that minimum postage for these is £3.90 for UK, £10.15 to Europe, £12.45 to US/Canada and £12.90 to Australia/New Zealand for one of these sets. Feel free to ask how much it will be for more than one. If you want to trade, I'm looking for an NYCC Trans-Clear Hau (for around $30 - if I'm buying I don't mind if someone acts as a proxy to get one for that price off eBay and send it on to me) and a Gallimimus Trap polybag (for around £5 or equivalent currency)- if you have one to trade or sell, please PM me and we can discuss. Any questions, please ask me. EDIT: Forgot to mention Paypal only.
  2. apparently Lego didn't get my phone number, and it took me forever to notice they were trying to contact me, but here we are. now I was thinking, perhaps I should just not open this box just so that whenever someone goes "so what 2015 sets do you have", I can be like "all of them. theoretically." then I'll shake a sheet of paper with Schrödinger's face printed on it right in front of them for several minutes
  3. Here's my entry to BFTGM contest. I posted it at RusBionicle, and though I haven't won anything it's still one of my own favourite OCs. Zarahk the Ice Hunter is fierce and merciless. His Mechanic Ice Claw and resourceful mind make any Toa absolutely helpless. Zarahk's goal is to get the Mask of Ultimate Power at all costs and nobody will stop him on his way to might and power! You can view the other photos here: http://imgur.com/a/q6CS3 This was my first experience with CCBS which totally changed my mind about the system. It makes MOCs look more stylish. Also, I've put a lot of effort in this mechanic claw. Here's a gif: http://5secondsapp.com/ul/f3f2df30aef3876d68a3523055d7d303.gif
  4. Bionicle's back! Well, it's not "on-the-shelves" back yet, perhaps. There's still a couple months to look over all that gorgeous concept art and watch some masks get made and read up on just who these heroes are. You've got your sleepy hulkster, your warrior-joker, your speedster trying to outrun the dark... You've got almost everything, but for one element: you don't have your villain yet. And what do we do when there's a gap to be filled? We build! Your latest mission, bestowed by none other than LEGO, is to build a villain. Build them mean, build them wicked, and build them like you've never built before: this party doesn't stop at the edge of BZPower. Judges will select the semi-finalists and finalists from BZPower and the five other sites in the contest (RusBionicle, ReBrick, Eurobricks, Le Club Bionifigs, and Pockyland), and the top entry from each site will be in the running for a 14k gold Bionicle mask! Make sure to read the official contest rules carefully. Some rules may look familiar, but don't make any costly assumptions. If you have any questions at all, be sure to ask. You've got until December 1 to enter the contest. Get to it! 5. Flickr Gallery Helsephyr is my primary entry for the BFTGM, and also the first proper moc I've finished in four years. The general idea is that he's a guardian of heat that awoke when the Mask Makers began harnessing fire to create Masks of power, and now haunts the island seeking to destroy the forge, so that no one may use the source of his power for their own gain. Also, his eyes glow when under a light. Criticism is appreciated.
  6. Makuta Kraazyk Entry Image Gallery (when public, obviously) MOC The initial design for this MoC was made a little while back. I was trying to make a humanoid figure with a lot more articulation than the average set. When I saw this contest I figured I’d take that jumble of mostly black parts and make it the best I could. He features the usual shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, foot and neck articulation. He also has 1 additional point of articulation in each shoulder, and 2 more points of articulation along his spine, although in filling out the armor one of those was mostly lost. I will likely upload more photos later to give more of an idea as to what I mean and how he's built, though I'm sure you geniuses out there have already figured it all out before I even typed this sentence. You clever MoCists you. Anyway, C&CC are more than welcome. The following is the back-story for the MoC if you care to read it. BIO History Kraazyk was the last of the Makuta created by the Great Spirit, and was often considered the least among his brothers. He did, however do his job of creating Rahi very well, having a tendency toward making more intelligent species as opposed to others who preferred fangs, teeth, and slime over brains. When Miserix allotted territories, Kraazyk got a small island to the southwest of the universe inhabited by Ce- De- Vo- and Bo-Matoran. On his first time on the island he encountered a Ce-Matoran attempting to escape one of Chirox' less friendly creations. After blasting the thing with chain lightning, he begrudgingly took her back to her village on the southern edge of the island. Along the way she called him a Toa, and although he replied that he was far beyond any Toa, she said he was still a hero to her. Over time this village became his fortress and he became quite fond of the villagers of the island, especially the Ce-Matoran he saved. That Ce-Matoran later became a Toa, and her armor was similar to the form Kraazyk had when he had saved her, but hers is a tale for another day. As the centuries passed he became less interested in creating Rahi and began seeking out legendary weapons, masks, and tools. Those that he did not give to the Brotherhood he kept for himself, eventually amassing one of the largest collections of rare and legendary relics in the universe. He also had an extensive library for research. When Teridax revealed his plan, Kraazyk sided with him once it was clear Miserix would be outnumbered. Little changed for Kraazyk after this, he continued seeking legendary items and caring for the needs of his little island. Along with the other Makuta, he purged his inner light, but due to the attachment he had developed for the people of his island he was unable to do so fully. A few centuries before the Great Cataclysm, Kraazyk found a legendary item beyond any other he had ever encountered. The Blade of Fate. Discerning it's power, he decided to have a talk with Teridax. Without flinching, Kraazyk explained the Blade's powers and demanded to know what Teridax was withholding with regard to the Plan. Teridax, knowing he could not hold his own against Kraazyk as long as he held the Blade, told him the Plan in it's true entirety, including numerous back up plans and the fact that all other Makuta would be eliminated. Kraazyk then made Teridax an offer, Kraazyk would keep the Blade, do all that Teridax needed for the Plan to succeed, and keep the knowledge to himself. Then, when the plan was done, Teridax would spare Kraazyk. Teridax agreed and things progressed as per usual, the rest of the Brotherhood never knowing of the exchange. When Teridax took control of the Universe he kept his word and did not kill Kraazyk. Instead Teridax showed Kraazyk a vision of his island being reduced to burning rubble by Rahkshi and then Teridax opened a dimensional portal and threw Kraazyk out of the Universe. Since then Kraazyk has been dimension hopping, trying to return to the one thing he actually cared about and exact his revenge on Teridax. His travels have taken him many places, and now finally to the "Okotoverse". Hearing of the legendary masks of power and believing them as a potential way to return home, he is willing to crush whoever and whatever gets in his way. Abilities and Traits Kraazyk has access to all the powers standard to a Makuta. He is particularly skilled with creating intelligent Rahi, such as Keetongu, Krahka, and Artakha Bulls. He has become adept at handling strange tech and materials due to his extensive multiversal travels. He trained with various Dark Hunter's and Toa in using a variety of powers through his Blade and is skilled in hand to hand combat. Kraazyk was known and despised by his fellow Makuta for being unusually honest for a Makuta, although he built up the reputation intentionally, making him one of the best liars in the Brotherhood. It is extremely unpredictable as to how he will handle any given situation, as he may charge in obliterating anything in his way, be patient and manipulative, or he may even assist others in order to earn their help. After being cast out by Teridax, Kraazyk was able to fully drain the light from himself. However, he still remembers the Ce-Matoran who called him a Toa and this has at times given him the strength to show some restraint, though he has never held back if he thought it would cost him a chance to get home. Weapons and Tools He bears the Blade of Fate, a sword crafted out of protosteel by Artakha and then exposed to energized protodermis. It is completely indestructible and will reshape itself if anything were to try reconstituting it. In battle it allows him to mimic with equal power the abilities of his foe, however it relies on his skill and training to use the abilities. It also serves as a source of endless power, thus making abilities that require large amounts of energy, such as shape shifting, much easier to perform. Outside of battle it allows him to see the destiny of another and know any secret they may withhold from him, though this requires an extreme amount of focus, he must be within line of sight of the subject, it can be blurred if he is emotionally attached to the subject, and it will not allow him to see his own destiny. He wears a Kanohi Miru, Great Mask of Levitation, as he often refused to touch the ground outside his own lands due to his arrogant nature as a Makuta.
  7. Siren of the High Seas [Full Flickr Gallery with WIP shots] Be wary, those who travel to Okoto by way of Mermaid’s Trench! Local rumors boast of a valley filled with untold treasures just beneath the glass-like calm. One thousand Lords’ ransoms amassed by the victims of the beautiful but deadly Merfolk who reside in the trench. They are led by Siren. With her Typhoon Pike, she sinks any crew foolish enough to trespass her waters and makes them a part of her permanent collection. --------------------- Siren is my entry for the Battle for the Golden Mask contest, and a long-planned spiritual successor of an older MOC, Fanglyfuss. I first set out to make a fish with a larger under-bite like how most species of actual angler-fish usually have. I then loosely based the rest of the design on this piece of concept art. The silver tail works thematically, but I'm not too pleased with adding another colour on an already colour-heavy MOC. Her rear shoulder armor is rather poorly constructed and something I would like to fix now that I have no contest deadlines looming on me. I also need to rework the arms slightly so that she can actually hold her pike in dynamic shots.
  8. This is the MoC I submitted for the BFTGM competition back in November, and I felt that I should make a topic for it and see what you guys think about it. Natrix: History Natrix was ancient serpentine warlord that used to have reign over a large portion of Otoko, leading an army of reptilian humanoids known as the Varans, that formerly lived peacefully alongside the villagers. Natrix's aggresive personality and hunger for power over the island caused many conflicts with the other tribes, and ended up forming a rivalry between the villagers and the Varans. After a great war occurred between the two factions, Natrix was defeated by Ekimu and Makuta, with the assistance of 6 of the villagers most skilled warriors. His unconscious body was then imprisoned within a tomb buried deep within the island. The Varans were then banished from Otoko by the villagers in fear that they would attempt to reawaken their sleeping overlord. The location of Natrix's tomb on Otoko is currently unknown, and treasure hunters on the island are forbidden to search for it. Abilities: Natrix is covered with plenty of blades and strong armor plating, making him a very resilient opponent. Having no ranged abilities, Natrix prefers to fight up close and personal, or stealthily hunting down his target (his large size makes that rather difficult, however). He is armed with 3 large blades on each hand, the largest one being designed to suck the life force from his prey. Most of his armor plating is on his body and tail, which he utilizes to constrict and crush his prey. However, his body is not entirely covered in armor and spikes. His back is his most vulnerable spot, having very little protection on it, but his large size and rapid reflexes makes it extremely difficult for an opponent to flank him.
  9. Its been a while since the end of BFTGM and I was just wandering where the winners of the contest will be shown.
  10. Hey there everyone! Soooo the battle for the gold mask has got me pretty pumped! After a month of building, I'm finally ready to show off my entry. Allow me to present Makuta: Master of the Forge! To be honest, I kind of misunderstood the contest theme at first. I thought the goal was to build THE villain of Bionicle (AKA Makuta), and not just any villain we could think up. By the time I noticed that the other entries were NOT just a bunch of Makutas, I had already drawn up a bunch of ideas for my Makuta. Whoops. I decided to go along with the designs I already had instead of starting from scratch again. The new Makuta is a mask-maker along with his brother Ekimu, so I tried to give him a "blacksmith" feel with the hammer along with the longer armor around the hips, sort of resembling a smock/apron. Welcome to Makuta's workbench! In case you couldn't tell, he likes making eeeeeevil masks. I wanted him to exude power, strength, and evil-ness without looking like a beast; after all, the Makuta we knew and loved was highly intelligent and laid careful, fiendish plans, attributes that I thought a “beast” look wouldn’t convey properly. The result was a Makuta without claws, fangs or horns. Being a mask-maker ain't easy, especially when everyone keeps telling you that your brother's masks are better. A gallery with a few more pictures is available here, if you care to look. That's all for now! See you all in the competition! (Although, I guess we won't even know how the competition is going until the results are announced... I'll see you all around anyway!) Shad
  11. Hi all! I'm a fairly old member here on BZPower, but not one that actively makes posts I was just curious as to what people think of my entry to LEGO's 'Battle for the Golden Mask' competition! The wait is long to here who made it through, and some feedback would be amazing A link to pictures and other goodies here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/401572 Thank you in advance! Also, I'm more than happy to give my opinion on some of your mocs if that tickles your fancy

  15. Finally got my main entry done! And here it is! I give you, the ECDR-1000! Better known as the Evil Cyclopian Death Robot One-Thousand! (I owe partial credit to my best friend, who built the gun-arm.) Entry Image Posing with its makers Dueling Teridax Doesn't really have a backstory, but I imagine it as some deadly mercenary robot that was built by some other supervillain and was sent out into the galaxy to pick off his enemies. Probably gained sentience and went rogue. Comments? Criticism? Cookies?
  16. … Araxi was once a Protector of the Earth Tribe, but when he donned the Mask of Fear, it transformed his body and warped his mind. Now he terrorizes all those he encounters, shapeshifting into the form of whatever they fear most. … 1 • 2 It's kind of a mashup of a spider and a wasp. With a face. It's also my BFTGM entry.
  17. Entry Photo: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6190106 Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=550126 The Bohrok-Kal originally were planned to each have a Bohrok-Kal Va assist them. However, the Bahrag decided not to do that, and this is tho only prototype they have. Now he has become sentient and warns all of the reawakening of the Swarm Queens, not knowing that they have already done so. I hope you like it!
  18. Flickr Brickshelf A mysterious shaman that wanders the jungles of Okoto. Only ever seen at a distance or in the corners of brave adventurers' eyes, it is rumored that he guards the great Masks of Power scattered across the land from all who seek them. C&C greatly appreciated!

  20. My first entry to BFTGM. I had also planned an LDD entry but couldn't figure out rendering before the deadline so I guess I won't be entering that. Rahonu, Master of Dread by DARKSIDERZ, on Flickr A being who was sent from the stars after the descent of the Toa. His mission is to take down any confrontation, and destroy anything that comes between him and the Golden Mask! The Toa are in for a grand challenge! Best of luck to all contestants!!!!
  21. Wow, its been a REALLY long time since I posted here. And to think, my poor little account was starting to worry that I would never do anything with it again ... To start out this new beginning, I will be showing you my 2 main entries for the BFTGM contest. The first one is my main model: Pscoius, Father of Machines: Entry pic: http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=401515&id=/user_images/117573/1417379102m_DISPLAY.jpg Gallery (when public): http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/401515 History: In an alternate universe, the collision of the bota, bara, and aqua magna (into spherus magna) caused spherus magna to explode on impact, destroying all 4 planets. After many details and events occurred, an Onu-matoran rescued the mask of life, and brought it to safety on a distant asteroid. After time went by, he found out what immense power it held, and created a new world with the fragments of the older ones. With that, he created several lords to follow him, one being Pscoius. Under these lords, there were the matoran, a slave-like race of smaller, weaker bio-mechanical organisms. After years of failure with the new world, that Onu-matoran and the other villainous lords ganged up to defeat the others. Instead, only a few survived, being forever neglected by society. On his own island, Pscoius, with the power of gravity and psionics, created new abominations with the dead matoran and their weapons. Because of this, he could now lead an army to the matoran infested island and take control of the new world. The second one is Ohlinxi, Slayer of Zyglak: Entry pic: http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=401514&id=/user_images/117573/1417378531m_DISPLAY.jpg Gallery (when public): http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/401514 History: Once the "bad" lords were banished, the remaining lords gave the worthy matoran protodermis, so that they can defend their island. Although their powers were binded to the island, some of the new toa ventured off to distant islands in the search of greater power. After several toa disappeared, the matoran were outraged. In a decisive plan, several matoran broke in and when into the protodermis, transforming them into toa. Several of these toa wanted more power, so they started to steal the power of the good toa. Because of this, all toa (except for 10 of them) were banished to the depths of the ocean. In here, they either survived by killing or died trying. Ohlinxi, an Onu-matoran, learned how to survive, especially around the presence of zyglak. After years of mercilessly killing the zyglak kind, he was ready to rise up onto the surface. When he finally went on shore, his thirst of killing was intensified. In spite of this, he went around, gathering followers to try to take over the island. After a while, he found the makuta, and decided to join them. Because of this, he was stationed at the snowy tops of Onu-koro's mountains, slaughtering any matoran that happens to go by. So thats it. Sorry that the back-stories were so short, but I'm very busy, and I only had enough time to write the very basics. The actual stories are a lot more in depth and explanatory. I'll be posting the rest of my completed MOCs in the upcoming week or so when I have time... Comments and criticism are appreciated
  22. This creature was, until recently, one of a species of imposing--but rather cowardly--hunter/scavengers. That all changed when it broke into an ancient crypt looking for bodies to feed upon. Instead, it found an ornate staff emitting an alluring glow. When the beast touched it, the ancient consciousness imprisoned within the scepter immediately took control. It modified the scavenger, both mentally and physically, and now used the beast to further its own ends. The villagers call the mutated creature Calliope, for its hauntingly musical cry. Larger Entry Pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Nyarlathotep/Calliope/bftgm--calliope_1_fx.jpg Gallery (when public): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=550312 I'm aware that this one is basically a glorified table-scrap. Don't expect him to actually win anything, but I figured I might as well toss him out there.
  23. Last-minute entry ahoy! The being now known as Kykohi was once an ordinary villager on the island of Okoto. However, he had an intense interest in the Masks of Power, digesting any bit of their lore he could find. Eventually, what was once a relatively innocent hobby grew into an obsession, not only with the masks, but with any powerful artifacts. Finally, a few years ago, the villager disappeared and could not be found. Everyone assumed he had run off to look for his precious artifacts, but no one guessed that he would be successful... They underestimated him. In his travels over other islands, the self-christened Kykohi found samples for what he sought: a suit of black armor that granted him the strength and stature of a Toa, albeit in an unnatural, twisted form; a pair of sleek, artificial wings which enable swift, silent flight; a series of clamps and chains whose sullen orange glow binds his soul to his body, granting him amazing regenerative abilities; and a pair of phantasmal swords capable of bypassing physical matter to directly injure the mind and spirit of an opponent. Now, Kykohi has returned to his homeland to finally seize his ultimate goal, the treasures that first sparked his obsession...and woe betide anyone, villager or Toa, who stands in his way. Larger Entry Pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Nyarlathotep/Kykohi/bftgm--kaikohi_1_fx.jpg Gallery (when public): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=550310
  24. Something My cousin and I created while I was visiting for Thanksgiving. Years ago, I created a bipedal dragon moc that acted as the inspiration for this build. 25. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Toa-of-Gallifrey/BIONICLE/Moana-Nui/1.jpg Gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/128941361@N03/sets/72157649534101275/ Moana-Nui is the fusion of a former Dark Hunter and a variety of aquatic Rahi. Only some Dark Hunters remember who Moana-Nui was before being fused to the aquatic Rahi. Those who know can’t say, for they know what the Shadowed One will do if they speak. The only thing they can say is Moana-Nui sold information on the Dark Hunters, especially the Shadowed One, to the Brotherhood of Makuta. Moana-Nui’s mind and feelings were taken over by those of the Rahi, but one of the Dark Hunter’s feelings remains: hatred. Armed with an axe imbued with elemental Water powers, Moana-Nui despises all living creatures, especially the Shadowed One and will go out of its way to harm anyone, especially Dark Hunters.
