Dallior posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsHello, fellow Bzpowerians! This is Dallior with another MOC! This year's convention circuit theme challenges us to create MOCs that shine in the spotlight... black light, specifically. Well, soon after hearing this, I decided to make a MOC for it, and combine that idea with the pre-determined goal of mine to build a small MOC with a custom torso. These ideas came together in this reimagining of a popular LEGO Chima set, CHI Fluminox, or in this case CHIBI Fluminox. Wordplay! FLICKR GALLERY LINK This teeny-tiny version of Fluminox features a custom-made torso and a a cute little bow (weapon, not accessory). And for those of you wondering, this set weighs 75.5 grams and has 50 parts. This is my entry for the BZP Flickr contest.

Takua Comic/Chibi Style
Vezon shall Return posted a topic in General ArtTime to post something less controversial. lol Isn't that right Takua? lol Yep... Takua agrees. This is a quick concept art I made in 20-ish minutes, for a possible comic series. It was a project I wanted to do for a long time, and I even had older artwork made from Paint and similar concept that were made in 3d. Don't worry, I can take any criticism, complaints, or concerns, so be as honest as you want to be. lol
Taka Nuvia posted a topic in General Art... yep, that's it. That's exactly what I put in the title - a small, chibified Tahu with somewhat huge feet (and a wonky mask D: ) A sketch, you might say. Without pupils because my pen was not fine enough to get those in as well. I think he's cute, though. :3
Taka Nuvia posted a topic in General Art< it's a clickable thumbnail! =DAnd no, I never get tired of doing these chibis. <3 Oh, and by the way, I never really had anything against Hahli's mask design. O.o
ShadowBionics posted a topic in General ArtAll right then, well I wasn't entire sure about this originally, but I'm going to post up fan art of one of my fan-made characters, a Shadow Toa-like warrior named Elitha, but personified in what my friends have nicknamed "toon style." If this would side more with non-topic kind of art, please move it. I'm not sure about this one and I read through the guidelines as much as I could. In a nutshell, my "toon" style of drawing is like a chibi kind of thing where characters are made to look cute and sort of playful. I was inspired to do this actually by The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It's not the same kind of style, but I was inspired to draw characters kind of like that. I've done this with various video game characters ranging from Link and Zelda to Claire "Lighting" Farron. I've done the same for Elitha, except she is now more human-like.Dare to CompareHere is the Mk IV version of the Elitha MOC alongside her toon counterpart. For personal reasons, I've blotted out part of my signature, but that's another story. Like the MOC, her drawing counterpart has gone through some changes as well.Original Mk I inspiredMy apologies for the blurriness of the picture. But this was my first attempt at drawing her. You see, Elitha's story revolves around her as a troubled Matoran thrust into a world she didn't want to be a part of by the Brotherhood of Makuta, ultimately losing everything she held onto and becoming a shadow warrior with the help of a mask she created, the Kanohi Mask of Death (the Ignika's knock-off and polar opposite).Current Mk IV inspiredHer current incarnation. I showed off the Mk III to BZPower sometime back and after getting some criticism and advice, I updated the MOC, so then I set out to update the drawing as well to reflect those changes. She still has the same general look. Elitha is portrayed as a troubled "young woman," so to say and I wanted to try and personify that. In doing so and to incorporate one of the main things about the toon/chibi style, I've made the mask look like a tiara and the rest of her face you can see. Her face and hair is constant in both drawings.I originally thought about giving her the cape-wings that appear in the MOC, but I tried to put them in and they ended up just looking like some bizarre Gorast wings. The way the wings are constructed and appear from the front, I guess it wasn't too much of a good idea.Okay, I guess that's about it for now. Note: before you say the drawing(s) look(s) simple, that is actually the point. They are meant to look simplistic and have a playful kind of element to them. This style is especially popular with my friends and they like how I make these characters. I know I'm not the best artist in the world and I can't draw realistically, but as one of my friends put it, these are cartoonish kind of drawings so they can't really be compared to realistic drawings in that league. All right, I guess that is it. As before mentioned, if this doesn't fit in with this forum, please move it, although since this is a "human Bionicle" character, I thought it would be fitting to post here.
Soran posted a topic in General ArtI drew a new picture! This picture is totally not inspired by someone who has recently drawn a bunch of cute chibis. This is a small (No kidding) drawing of my character, Soran, as a chibi... With a cookie.Fear His cuteness! Doesn't he look adorable. :biggrin:Comments, complaints, Criticism?

Argentum posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsHey Guys! This is me. My name's Karzahni. Well, Karzahni JR. I was brought into this world a couple of years ago by my Father, who says I am the best son he could ever wish for! What we have both noticed over the couple of years I have been alive is how much I'm like my Dad. Here's another picture of me by the way: here. I've got a cape like him, an elongated head, broad shoulders, skinny limbs and red eyes. I also have the green armour that he has on his front, only smaller, and claws on my hands just like my Dad. For my last Birthday, my Dad gave me a piece of his chain, which I have to use to help him in his work. I'm not very good at it yet, but that will change when I get biggerer. He's told me that when I'm much bigger, the cave that we live in will be mine. He's such a nice Dad! He brings me food from the outdoors while I look after the cave, and we eat together. Recently, I heard whispers that a Toa called Lesovikk is looking for my Father. They must be good friends. My Dad would like a word with you a minute, so I'll just go and get him! "Dad!!!" "Dad!!!" "Daddy?" "Where are you?" It looks like he's not here right now, so I'll have to end it like this. I'll see you later! (out of character- Anyone guess where Karzahni is? )
Argentum posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsHello and welcome to tonight's episode of Gukkowatch! In this episode, we're going to look at baby Gukko Birds! But first, let's give a basic introduction of what a Gukko Bird is. A Gukko Bird is a kind of Rahi, mainly found on the island of Mata Nui and also Metru Nui. On Mata Nui, they live in forests, mainly in Le-Wahi. On Metru Nui, they prefer to make nests in the cables in Le-Metru. When the young Gukko Birds are born, they are around 1/3 of the size of the adult Gukko Bird. They are playful creatures, and whilst we were photographing them, decided to come up to us and investigate. Of course, this meant we could get much better shots of them. Anyway, the young Gukko Birds spend 50% of their time asleep, and the other 50% flying with the rest of the flock. We also found they were quite good posers! This concludes our episode today, but if you'd like to see some more pictures, check out our gallery! Thanks for watching! ~Argentum~
