Lyichir
The movie opens with a ridiculous scene of the ninja skateboarding and being ridiculous. The title card comes down: "The Super Crunchy Ninja Skateboard Party Movie With Pratfalls/Physical Comedy and Cute Furry Animals for the International Audience!" Zoom out. The movie is being shown in a theater, attended by the four ninja. Cut to the end of the movie, where the ninja are talking about how inaccurate the movie was and how "that's not what being a ninja is all about". Soon they're faced with an actual serious threat, and get their chance to prove what being a ninja IS about for the entire world...Yeah, that's all I've got. Really I just want something like the TV show, but bigger and better. That and a Collectible Minifig series like The Lego Movie had. Aanchir
It'd be fantastic if they can get a lot of the same voice cast on board, and even better if they can get Jay Vincent and Mike Kramer to do the music. Other than that, I mostly just hope the characterization and tone are consistent with the TV series. That shouldn't be a problem since the writers of the TV series are in charge of the screenplay. More female characters would definitely be nice as well. Or at least greater involvement from the ones the series already has (Nya, Pixal, Misako, etc). Smitty
I'd like to see it be more serous, it'll almost have to be if they want parents that are not AFOL to let their kids have it to watch at home. I would also say more consistency, but that's really a complaint about the show's lack of what keeps nerfing the ninja and where their elemental blades when to. Quote At some point you realize that you are but a speck in the Universe. That you time in this worlds is but a blink. You see the whole of reality as it unfolds before you. You try to see how far you can reach, and it’s not that far past your face. But then you come back from the brink. You hold them in your arms again. And you know that you are where their world begins. You are their rock.
TheSkeletonMan939
I want it to take place in the same world as the TV series. Same voice actors, too.
TheGeekIgnika
I really want it to have the same sort of emotional connection as in The LEGO Movie (I heard they take place in the same universe). This is a reboot of Ninjago, and they better not screw it up. Also, this is slightly off-topic, but a rebooted Chima movie that could actually be good would be nice. It's basically a license to proudly emote on a somewhat childish level rather than behave like a supposed adult. Toa Smoke Monster
As others have said, I would want it to take place in the same world as the cartoon. Though I would want it to be a stand alone movie, not connected to an overall storyline from the show. That way, people could jump right into the movie's story and not have to worry about being caught up on the show and/or any other Ninjago media. The Ninja could even face a new threat unique to the movie, just to keep things fresh. That is what I would want to see in a Ninjago movie. 2 Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.
randomreviewerbros
I would like it to be something close to the TV series, and as good as the TV series is, if its on the big screen its going to have to be even better which will be a tough task because the TV series is great and has been since the start which I can't believe is already 3 and a half years ago Quote Go check out our Youtube channel! Banana Gunz
Consistency would be great, but most of all I want it to be good, and to be moving. I want it to feel important and be worth having a movie about. And a different/better looking animation style. It won't be consistent with the TV show but if you're showing it on the big screen at least pay a few extra bucks to make it look nicer. Ayliffe
What I'd want from it is a style consistent with the Lego Movie (All upcoming Lego movies should be set in the same universe as TLM), most of the same voice actors from the TV (although Lloyd should be replaced, his voice is just ugh), at least one reference to the Fold, an after-credits scene teasing TLM 2, and in general I'd like it to be completly separate to the TV show and more like TLM. Oh, and I want it to be produced by Animal Logic. Quote "In the beginning the Universe was created. The Lego Movie's shadows-on-a-cave-wall "canon" is largely inconsistent with Ninjago's established canon, which is more akin to that of Bionicle in terms of its depth and isolation from other themes. Even if the Ninjago movie retains TLM's stop-motion style (a liberty the TV series doesn't have), the Ninjago movie should remain in its own universe. I do agree that a post-credits teaser of TLM 2 would be awesome, though. 2 Quote Formerly Lyichir: Rachira of Influence Aanchir's and Meiko's brother
Voltex
While I would have no issue with it retaining the current canon of Ninjago, I hope that the movie will be standalone. I don't have the time or interest to devote myself to learning several years' worth of story just to understand a movie; I'd like to walk into the movie and walk out afterwards knowing what happened. I'm sure the movie won't require you to know all the past events in the Ninjago storyline. With a story as episodic as Ninjago, and with such a simple core concept, it's easy to write an independent story with the same characters, and in fact those sorts of stories are told regularly in the graphic novels.
