OOC: Ladies and gentlemen, the designated villains have arrived.IC: "We fear many things, but no branch may be judged until it has grown. We will wait to pass judgment on the Syrrinx, but if any force attempts to destroy without proper cause, we will do all in our power to stop them."Admittedly, that wouldn't be much for a while yet, but the first mobile ship of the fleet was nearing completion even as they spoke.

OOC: Wait, wait, there's war? Who, where and why?IC: "Culture or not, I don't like this whole subrace thing. One of your subservient races could prove themselves ten times more capable than you, but they'd still be nothing more than followers. I don't like it, even if it stays out of our society.""I still think you're making a bigger deal than you should over it. If they're happy with it, what's the problem?""They're happy because they don't know they had other options.""So we assume. Have we honestly known them for long enough to make a proper assessment of their culture? It doesn't seem ideal, I agree, but if it's working, at least study it before going to war over it.""Putting that aside, on your note of the war being fought here instead of there, that won't work. You can't win a war by sitting on defense, you need to fight back or else they'll keep whittling away at you. At some point, we'd have to go and make that big journey. And it's still something I don't like the logistics of.""What if the Syrrinx come here, get destroyed, then we attack back? All hypothetical, of course.""Then they have ample time to rebuild. Twelve lightyears is not a short distance, Osled.""Regardless, overall, these are fairly reasonable points. We asked the Syrrinx more than one question though, and we're here to do the same with you. Why wouldn't we want to fight you? If the Syrrinx aren't a factor, what reason would it be a bad idea to go to war against you?"

IC [Location: 2-5. Identity: Head Admiral]The fleet shimmered into existence outside of 2-5, the fusion drives of the Natsirt fleet powering online and coming to a full burn; railguns began charging and machine guns began being cooled. On the Last Breath of the Enemy, the Head Admiral buckled his harness as the blast doors closed over the crystal screen, feeling the inertia as the fusion engines roared to life. Clicking a helmet on over his head -standard issue; you couldn't have depressurization killing you-, he didn't active the life support, keeping the visor up. He called the fleet back on the screen, issuing orders quickly; all weapon batteries were to be opened, all weapons warmed and ready for combat. The fleet was to disperse into three sections; the medium sized vessels making an upside down V in the front, his ship in the middle, with the small ships flying in same formation but above and below the vessels, the races mixed throughout the formation. Then he turned on the FTL boosters, sending a transmission to the alien homeworld."This is the Grand Admiral of the Trilateral Alliance of Planets speaking, as well as the Head Admiral of the Confederation of Planets. You are ordered to give up your colonies along the Great Passage; your people will be assisted in this effect and given ample time to leave. For specifics we wish you to leave what our starcharts call 1-40, 2-1, and 2-4. This is your homeworld; we do not expect you to leave. If you do not comply, we will destroy your fleet, your shipyards, and then we will ask you politely again."He gave it a moment to sink in."Your move."

They are demanding that the Alizarin hand over three of their worlds, and threatening to burn their fleet and industrial complexes to the ground if they fail to comply. It would be a brilliant move but for how well-liked the Alizarin are in Sector 2.

OOC: Oh god- Now I'm gonna be pulled between two fights.Great.Who wants to help me and TPTI? :PIC: With our engines, that distance can be covered in less than a day. They would not have time to rebuild. Should we have to attack, we would force them down.As for why you would not want to fight us? While our fleet is not huge, our worlds are fortresses, and any of them, but especially Treanu, would pose a difficult nut to crack. Another factor- the Syrrinx are far away, and with such warlike behavior, I can see them turning on any "ally" to make their nation more powerful. My nation would be a close, strong ally, and together we could watch each other's "backs" so to speak. We could become powerful, together, and aid each other.IC: May this day be remembered. Now, would you like to stay a while and experience our world, establish an embassy, or anything else of that nature? Or will you be taking your leave of us?

Well, would you just look at that?

IC [Location: 2-5. Identity: Head Admiral]A woman stepped up next to the admiral, frowning slightly. The admiral looked at her badge pinned on her space suit, cursing lowly under his breath."A Confederate Overseer?" The man scowled. We could be stepping into a pile of hakagth here; the Council feels we need to have... a backup plan incase this turns south.""We're already neck deep in hakagth Overseer! The Council is a **** wishy washy pile of politicians who can't make up their mind!""We are not playing with mere nations here admiral, we are playing with the future of our race," the woman replied coldly. "Do not forget that over ten billion Natsirt are counting on you here. If you fail it could mean the end of our species.""We will never let that-""As we speak the civilian fleet is being prepped for evacuation; this is interstellar war, not planetary skirmishes. IC: We do have a fleet, actually- however, at the moment we haven't been able to focus on increasing the size of it while we increase our worlds' defenses. They are nearly complete, however, and once they are in place we can begin building ships quite quickly, as we have a number of worlds with thriving economies to produce and support them. We will be able to produce a sizable fleet quite quickly, and this in turn would benefit you as our allies.Right now, however, while we don't have a strong enough fleet to counterattack with, our worlds are defended enough to turn back an attack, with the help of our fleet. As allies, we will share our technology and help you build your economies. For such aid, we would also be in your debt, and we are willing to compensate any losses you were to take- while loss of lives is irreplaceable, material losses we can aid you with.

Well, would you just look at that?

(2-5) Ic: In a brief flash of turquoise light, the miniscule Leben fleet popped into existence inside the Kuiper Belt of 2-5. The monstrous Tinte shimmered and disappeared from sight, its pigmentation cells covering its skin allowing it to blend in with the blanket of stars, asteroids, and nebulae behind it. The ships arrived just in time to see the Tap's fleet begin to close in on, presumably, the target races' homeworld.Abstaining from joining the TAP's forces, the Leben remained among the ring of debris, hoping they were undetected by the preoccupied Alizarin who resided within the system.Ooc:Leben Ships Present:
