I didn't end up bidding on the Rahkshi display case, someone did though, was it anyone here?

I might buy a set of those Tohunga, but I too wish they weren't so expensive, some doubles to make Takua and others would be nice.

I bought the Rahkshi display case.

I was thinking, "That's not too bad," until I saw the OUTRAGEOUS shipping.

fun fact is, every time I see something like this I think "what a mo*on, he has to be some 91,5% positive feedback or someone with 3-4 feedback" then I always find out he has 60000 feedback and ask myself: "WHAAAAAT?????"

P.s.:come on, this is too much, he probably made a mistake

I agree; though I have a feeling that it was a lot funnier to say that it was only "a bit overpriced".

Here's a top-notch "Bionicle Warrior" for sale, missing one foot and hand each. The seller actually seems to think that it was a real set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Bionicle-Warrior-/111311083823?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item19eaa8592f

Well it kind of sucks having to write this, but I thought I should let everyone know that the Gold Hau was a fake :( . It was the original red Hau that came with the set, painted in a chrome/gold color with holes punched in the side of it to look like a genuine Hau. The seller claimed ignorance to knowing it was a fake since his father supposedly gave it to him, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt (frustrating though it may be) since he did issue me a refund. Be wary if he ever puts it back up on eBay.

That it's a beautiful find! I actually found this right before buying the Platinum Avohkii, so I went ahead and ordered it then. But it is a really cool poster.

Nobody buy it! Take a really good look at the picture. You can see that the gold paint is chipped on the forehead hole. Notice that bit of red? That's not a reflection, it's the original plastic showing from beneath the chipped paint.

I reported this item as a fake/counterfeit. I would advise that anyone else who is able to report it, please do so since we don't want anyone to be fooled by this. That piece is worth maybe $2 and certainly nowhere near $5000.

Also, if you look at some of the pictures, you can see that the holes in the top are both far too small, and in the wrong spots.

Thought I would put this here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/9299-DECOOL-Mata-Nui-Bionicle-TOA-FREE-WORLDWIDE-SHIPPING-LEGO-Compatible-NIB-/271468976157?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item3f34cfd81d

It is a knockoff and if you guys wants a review on this knockoff, here you go: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/12000-review-decool-toa-mata-nui-knockoff/

:)

While I dont encourage the purchasing of LEGO knockoffs, to me, it looks like a pretty good deal considering the majority of Toa Mata Nui sets are usually $100+, in used condition. Also the pieces that are missing from this knock off (Mahri Jallers Sword) are easily obtainable :)

I wanted to report the guy selling the fake Gold Hau (again); however, I had nothing to base the claim on. He was really careful of no where in his auction mentioning that it was gold, whether fake or real, at all. He even had the gall to mention he will NOT be offering a refund.

I went ahead and sent him a couple of questions, whether it was a mask made of gold, how much it weighed, etc. Things that would reveal his scam. And have not gotten a reply since, figures.

In any case do you guys think this is a good deal?

good idea! :)

anyway, the deal is not so bad for MISB! it depends, how many bidders want the same thing... also, do you want to resell it, or just for your own collection?

I really want that :) I can afford it, but I bet I can't afford postage to the UK, because its usually astronomical :/

I'm glad he gave you a refund, TLH, but I'm surprised he did if he was just going to re-list it. I would agree with Flintsmith that a negative review and an explanation of your experience with the seller in addition to reporting the item might help warn other potential buyers that are not members on this site.

Gold Hau was a fake.

It says he has 100% positive rating.

Did you neg him?

I just did about an hour ago. I don't know why I waited to long to do so. I was contemplating leaving neutral feedback since he refunded me, but after seeing him relist it and no longer being able to claim ignorance to the item's authenticity, I couldn't not leave negative feedback in good conscience. Does it show up as 90% positive feedback now?
