Wamsutta
Hello one and all! I am here in order to compile a complete list of the available Bionicle pieces on shapeways.com. This is also a place for modelers to come and specify their new product ideas/for commission requests by bzpower members. Please feel free to comment if I have missed anything, or to let me know that something new is being modeled. ***Legal Disclaimer*** I did not make any of these 3D modeled pieces, nor am I trying to claim that I did; I am simply compiling a list. All rights go to the respective owners. For more information please visit Shapeways.com's "Content and Copyright" section, or go to this link: https://www.shapeways.com/legal/content_policy Shapeways.com is a 3D modeling site where anyone can upload their schematics of something and the company will host images of it on their site. Any site-goer can purchase the product, which will then be shipped to them via shapeways.com's mailing service. The modeler gets a portion of the money from the purchase as well. Modelers can make the products available in a variety of plastic colors and metals. Click
Is there really a need for this topic? I'd get the exact same results by just searching "Bionicle" on Shapeways. Wamsutta
"This is also a place for modelers to come and specify their new product ideas/for commission requests by bzpower members." This was the other reason for making this topic; also, some folks may not know of shapeways.com and they can learn about it here. Gonny
Thanks for doing this. I'm often finding things I like and then forgetting exactly what they're called and end up having to dig through a bunch of other stuff to find it. I think this topic will really help keep things organized as more and more products become available. Quote A Turaga You are a very wise Turaga. Letagi
I would suggest making it clearer in the title that these are Shapeways pieces. For a moment I was convinced you were trying to list every piece used in every Bionicle set. -Letagi

UngluedBike
I like this a lot, makes it so much easier to find stuff rather than dragging through shapeways. Cheesy Mac n Cheese
I've already suggested the Great Spirit Robot constraction figure. I am now going to suggest of a constraction figure the Prototype Robot, in proper scale with said Great Spirit Robot (it's slightly shorter, so the figure should be slightly shorter). It'll probably be harder, though, because it was only ever seen as 2D drawings in the comics, whereas the there are already 3D models of the GSR from animations, and we've generally seen more angles of it. Cheesy Mac n Cheese
I know a guy who could make these guys every easily, if they don't have moving joints. The idea was for them to have moving joints. It would be possible, however, to design individual body parts with axle and pin holes so that existing LEGO pieces can be attached and do the joint articulation for it. For example, the joints found in Exo Toa. Quote My friend went to Po-Wahi and all I got was this lousy rock. Wamsutta
If you could have this person do that, tourmalinex, that would be incredible. I think we all would be willing to wait three weeks for him/her to create a 10-inch-model. That would be amazing!!
