This is gonna sound weird, but after hearing Lupita Nyong'o as Maz in TFA, I kind of want her as Gali. Her voice conveys depth and wisdom without sounding elderly, and she can bring the sass for Gali's snarkier moments.

 

I just want to hear her say the line "Tahu, stop acting like you are Mata Nui's gift to everyone."

James McAvoy as Sidorak. Because he can do the confident, cruel, manipulating warrior-king, let the private insecurities seep in a little, and convey that utter resignation in the face death.

As amazing as Morgan Freeman would be for Turaga Vakama, I feel like Ian McKellen would also be a good choice (especially in the fight against the Rahi Nui in Tales of the Masks).

First of all, Steve Downes (Master Chief, Halo series) as Kopaka. 'Nuff said. 

 

Michael Leon Wooley (Darkseid, Batman: The Brave and The Bold) would make a great Makuta.

 

Michael Dorn stays as Mata Nui. I don't think anyone else could really outdo him, save for Morgan Freeman.

 

As for Lewa... How 'bout Neil Patrick Harris? (He voiced Spider-Man once, BTW.) 

 

And Steve Blum as Vezon and Vezok. Now that would be something.

I reckon Tim Roth would make a great Strakk. He could to the abrasive, sardonic, materialistic side of the Ice Glatorian, throw in a touch of those odd flashes of rage, nobility and war-veteran-ism, and to cap it off, make the very un-Strakk decision in the Vulcanus Arena against Ackar and Mata Nui more believable than it was in The Legend Reborn - pulling a dirty one on Ackar seemed totally unlike his 99.9% mercenary attitude to life.
