Archer Vonn
B2W2 info? B2W2 info! :]According to sources, be they reliable or not, the May issue of CoroCoro was leaked, and with it, some juicy gossip. Grey Wind
Unova isn't frozen, the map itself is covered in ice so we won't be spoiled (just like the clouds on the old map). Bulbanews just sort of randomly assumed that. They're wrong on the tunnels thing too, considering the only two "tunnels" in the "glacier" are Chargestone and Mistralton Cave. Blessed Blade
-The game is set two years after Pokémon Black and White. That's correct, as everyone's been talking about that. =P-There have been many changes to the Unova region. There appears to be an encroaching ice sheet or glacier, and the water in the area around the Entralink has dried up.-The Entralink's moat is now dry, and the inner area has changed.I actually only just noticed that the water's gone. >>' And yeah, now that you mention it, the Entralink itself does look slightly different...-The northern and eastern parts of Unova have been covered by this ice, and Opelucid City is just on the border of being covered. The question is if it's ice, or just a spoiler cover like what Lewa said above...-There appear to be cave entrances to the glacier. That's Chargestone and the other cave. =P Same places as in the original, everyone probably just didn't realize what the outside looked like, due to being inside of them for half the time. xD-There are two new towns and at least on new route to the southwest. Those look very cool, and I wonder if it'll be the only new cities around...?-The road between Castelia City and Nimbasa City is complete.-There is now a settlement on Route 4These are the same things, but at least they finally finished it. xD-A new building has been added to the front of Nimbasa City, and a new area to the east of the Rondez-View Ferris Wheel. What new building? And that area might be the forest you visit to get Zoroark... I can't tell.-Driftveil City's lighthouse is gone, and several craters have appeared in the city.Driftveil had a lighthouse?-Liberty Garden is now shown of the official artwork of the map, and appears to have been revamped.I could be mistaken, but Liberty Garden looks the same to me... Been a long while since I got to go there, though.-The construction zone and Freezing Container south of Driftveil are both gone. What is that, directly under the bridge? It looks to be the same place the container place was, back in B/W...-There is a section taken out of the side of the mountain in eastern Unova, and there are several buildings here. That is odd, hadn't noticed that before, and if you look closely, there's a plane there. I had read about that, but hadn't gotten a chance to examine it... And is that a runway?-Challenger's Cave has disappeared.I'm thinking, or at least hoping, that that's just them leaving it out on purpose... Wouldn't make sense for them to take out an area that's so enigmatic...-300 Pokémon in addition to the original 156 Unova Pokémon are now available.-The Unova Pokédex also appears to have drastically changed, with Riolu being #033, Psyduck being #026, and Metagross being #264.-The Pokémon Psyduck, Arcanine, Lapras, Eevee, Mareep, Tyranitar, Metagross, Buneary, Riolu, Lucario, Weavile all appear to be in the new regional Unova Pokédex. No, that's 300 Pokemon, including the Unovan Pokemon. =P And those two things go hand in hand. -There are two new player characters; the male is the characters revealed yesterday on the cover, while the female has not been seen before.New PCs are... Interesting... I like the in-game sprite of the new male character's hair rather than his actual crazy hair... the actual hair looks a little weird. 0_o The sprite reminds me a bit of Brendan from RSE, though. And the female character is very nice.-The character wearing red that was seen yesterday is the new rival; he is said to be a childhood friend of the player. He is a passionate boy who wages on a Pokemon's strength.-The rival is quoted as saying "From now, I'm going to rage!"Let's hope he lives up to his hype. Cheren was kinda cool, but his team...Gonna skip over the gym leaders, as they don't have much real info. =P-The man in the lab coat is Akuroma. He is researching Pokémon strength. A cut-off portion of the photo mentions he is doing something regarding the latent abilities of Pokémon. He is said to be mysterious and hard to read.Wesker clone seems intriguing. I have a feeling he'll be evil, though, if only because of his looks. And the fact that he's a Wesker clone.-The new starting city is Hiougi City, located in the south-west of the map.-Its main point of interest is its lookout. There is a Pokemon Center and Trainers' School; this is the first time the starting city has included either, as well as the first time the starting location is a city and not a town. They named the starting place Hiougi City. Was anything less than total awesomeness to be expected? =P-There are several new facilities. One image shows a large glass tube going through water with Mantine swimming overhead.Looks intriguing...Overall, this is gonna be awesome. =D Quote The Pokemon TopicPokemon: Rise of the Rockets - Rise of the Rockets Discussion Topic - Rise of the Rockets Side Stories

Archer Vonn
The enormous new Pokedex is what has me really excited- on the DS games themselves I have no motivation to go catch a Metagross or Lucario, post game, and train it up by bullying the Elite 4. Alyska
Whenever the first info for a new Pokemon game comes out, regardless of how awesome the plot sounds or how many Pokemon are available, my brother and I always start with the same thing...Riffing on the protagonists' outfits!Me: Okay, the girl looks like the product of a wild night involving Sailor Moon, Princess Leia, and possibly Minnie Mouse.Bro: ...Is that meant to be a skirt she's wearing?Me: Actually, I think it's some sort of frilly short-shorts.Bro: ...Me: Hey, at least she's wearing leggings underneath.Bro: Yeah. Alyska
I checked a wiki, and it seems to be still available. But yeah, I haven't been in the DW much, either- mostly because it's repetitive and time consuming- plus the fact that I've got virtually everything I wanted from it by now. At least with the Pokewalker, you didn't have to spend much time on it to accumulate points- it did that by itself. Actually, now I'm wondering whether the dream world will be expanded upon for B2/W2. There could be potential to develop a story for Fennel and the laboratory... Sure, it's useful, but it's a lot shorter compared to other daycare routes; Skyarrow is waaaay more fun. That said, it's kinda smarter to go there because of their awful new system of letting you know when eggs are ready :<"Subway trick"Explain yourselfB2W2 take place in Unova. The subway is a circle, so you never have to change the d-pad direction. Alyska
Back in DPPt, I used to abuse the Feugo Ironworks like that- you make the character run into a pad that sends them back in the opposite direction, then you tape the button down and leave it overnight. It was slower than the bike, though, so I generally used it for levelling pokes in the daycare up rather than hatching. Archer Vonn
Problem with leaving it on overnight is that it takes maybe an hour or two to hatch five eggs then you have a lot of battery drain for nothing. Dorek
Yeah, it's in the same place. There's been a fair amount of info released already about it, it's on all the fansites. Essentially, the region has been changed dramatically because of a conflict between the new Kyurem Formes. There will be some old locations available, but some have been frozen over or otherwise altered.
