Republic Commando Fixer Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 So glad Lego finally made them! It's been forever! I can't wait to get my hands on these sets! You guys excited too?RCF Quote
Bambi Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Not really, Lord of the Rings has never really interested me. If I ever remember to look at the sets, I'll be able to decide if I want to get one. Quote [my blog] [custom emotes]
Baron Von Nebula Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I'm quite excited. The sets we've already seen look great, and I can't wait to see the unrevealed sets. Surge 2.0 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I've already purchased one of the sets. Lotr has always been one of my favorite stories. I'm starting The books for the fourth time and I've read the Silmarillion twice, the hobbit 4 times, and Unfinished tales. Lotr Lego Bricks combines my two favorite things Lord of the Rings and Lego Bricks. I am so exicted for these sets and most of them look pretty good. I am upset Legolas doesn't come with the Helm's Deep set though. It is even more upsetting if your a fan of the books because in the books Haldir never comes to aide Rohan at helm's deep in the books and neither do any of the elves. I think they should replace the Haldir figure with Legolas. Leolas was a much more important character in the battle of the Hornburg. Quote
Hahli Husky Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I like them so far, I just wish I had the money for them. XD Quote
Republic Commando Fixer Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 ^ Haha me too!! @ Surge 2.0. I am a HUGE fan of the books as well as the films. I agree with everything you said! Can't wait till I can get my hands of some of these! RCF Quote
The Swimming Beard Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 The sets look pretty cool. I will probably be getting the Shelob set within the next few days. Quote "I pitea the fool!" Lyichir Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) I don't think anyone cares.I don't know who your comment was meant to be directed towards, but it's rude, vague, and doesn't contribute to the discussion. Many people (myself included) certainly care about the theme itself, and respectful members care about other members' comments.Personally, while I'm no die-hard LotR fan, I'm still a fan, and on top of that, I'm a LEGO fan. And this theme seems like it's not only a fabulous Lord of the Rings theme, but possibly LEGO's greatest Castle theme ever. Meiko Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I'm glad they made these, though I'm not sure if I'll buy any. I might buy some just to get some minifigures or other parts, but I don't have much of an interest in LotR. Kaleidoscope Tekulo Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I nabbed myself the set with Shelob. Not really because I'm a LotR fan (Actually I've only read The Hobbit and I don't plan to read too much into the rest of the series, but it's not because I dislike it or anything). I mainly got it because I once got a different set with a giant spider when I was younger. They improved on the idea extremely well. Been taking a few pictures for a set review. Still, I'm not a reporter and I don't have a blog, so I'm not sure what to do with it once it's finished. XD Quote Executive Vice President of Tomato Throwing
Kopekemaster Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) Yes. I am very excited. Of course, getting the money and actually ordering them.......................that's another thing. Kaleidoscope Tekulo Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Hmm... When I got the Shelob set, it came with three rings. O.o SCORE! XP Quote Executive Vice President of Tomato Throwing
The Swimming Beard Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I got the Orc Forge. It's a pretty cool set, and the figures are good also. What I don't like is the fact that it only comes with two Orcs, as opposed to the three that it had at toy fair. Quote "I pitea the fool!"
