My iOS Sonic 4 time attacks. All without the use of Super Sonic. Ignore Act 3, I haven't really worked on that one yet. xD

Nice. Which reminds me, are there any differences between Sonic 4 on Wii or 360, or should I just go based on what I want to do with the extra points? (probably either some DLC for 06 on the 360, or a kirby game on the Wii.) Also, when I speedrun, you can bet your gukko I'm going to use super sonic, given how much I love to spam him and hyper sonic on Sonic 3/Sonic 3 and Knuckles. (and occasionally on Sonic 2 when I feel like hacking it. )

I never do speedruns with Super Sonic unless I feel like destroying stuff (Especially in Colors). But I must say, my Sonic 2 speedrun is pretty impressive if I do say so myself....

Chemical Plant Act 2 is evil on the Mega Collection as well. So much in fact, that it's part of the reason I generally play as Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic 2. Of course, gamebreaking when done with legitimately can be rather fun. (save for say, getting stuck in areas with no way of getting out, particularly in the classics when playing as a super/hyper form.)

There's a certain trick at the beginning of CPZ2 you can do, that involves stopping RIGHT before you touch the first enemy, letting Tails get hit, then running down the slope and stopping at the door right behind you once you get through it. With Tails being slightly late, the door will open for you and you can go through. That saves you a good 20-30 WHOLE SECONDS of time. It's awfully hard to pull off though.Which reminds me, anyone here ever heard of SRB2? It's FUN. Too bad I can't play netgames.

I have it for iOS, it's pretty good. I would suggest that because it's portable... But the Wii version has better graphics, slight updates to the physics that make them somewhat better... Sorta... And it has completely different zones for Casino Street Act 2 and Lost Labyrinth Act 2.

Joe Stanski? Isn't he the guy who has the world record for Sonic 2? My record is 1 hour and 15 min with only one life lost, but I'm working on that.Also, Chemical Plant Act 2 isn't hard. The only hard act in the game is Metropolis. Even Death Egg is easier, if you know the strategies... But I do sometimes mess up badly on Mystic Cave in that pit of death... Stupid troll SEGA... Yeah, that's him. Wow, that's fast. I haven't tried timing myself through that game yet.My time for Sonic 1 was approximately 25 minutes... I don't remember. And that was on a Nano. For whatever reason, I can't make a lot of the jumps on an iPod Touch and stuff that I used to.

I added up my times as close as I could remember, on a calculator and divided by 60, and got 22.something. :PAlso, anyone seen the video of CLEAN Classic/Modern City Escape gameplay? The Modern remix is very clear and easy to hear. Too bad it cuts off in the guitar solo and the third verse can't be heard. It's in the guitar solo, not the end. The third verse is after that, chorus, and then the song loops... I think the third verse has a different melody than the first two, but I can't tell from the spotty sound quality. I haven't heard a clean version of that part yet.Also, I'm currently rocking out to "Scramble For the Core... For Cannon's Core Ver. 1" by Jun Senoue. YEAHUH.

Awesome. I actually love the game, mainly because it's like the adventure games mostly in gameplay, and has a whole bunch of characters while keeping the same core gameplay (unlike adventure 1, which has like four different styles of gameplay, and adventure 2 which has three.)Also, I've been listening to the Crush 40 vs Bentley Jones remix of Open Your Heart. So bloody awesome.

Also, the opening cutscene was released by IGN, as was Modern Crisis City, Classic Speed Highway, and the Co-op Amy mission. They are epic, to say the least.

The Perfect Chaos boss is so... amazing...I want this game so much.Also, anybody besides me think Crisis City looks like the best best level of the ones we've seen extensively? (The only remaining stage is Planet Wisp)And if you agree, doesn't it seem ironic that the best level hails from '06?

This. Heck, it's the best opening cutscene for any game (particularly since it's the only one where he goes super in the beginning, save for Sonic 3 of course,) probably the best in Sonic Unleashed, and maybe in any Sonic game ever (though some of the ones in Colors like the "no copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" are up there as well.)

Yes, Tails actually sounds like a boy again, and like he's grown some (though his SA2 voice wasn't too bad, especially since he was actually being voiced by a kid at the time.) Also, mall sections in speed highway? Son I am so freaking happy! I was actually discussing something like that with friends of mine, like having a mall-themed level, or maybe one in an airport like the Terminal map from Modern Warfare 2. First buildings you can go in (and a house-tree,) then chao nightclub, then a mall. I'm so going to enjoy Speed Highway (especially since it has elements from Radical HIghway, one of my favorite SA2 stages.)

Aw, don't feel bad. I'm still about halfway on Sonic 1, and nearly but not quite done with Sonic 3 and Knuckles (Which is the best way to play S&K IMO). I fail on the final boss in Sonic 2. Eggman finally got smart, and didn't leave any rings lying around in the death egg. Curse you Egghead!!! By the way...Which name do you prefer? Dr. Eggman, or Dr. Robotnik? They're both canonized, Eggman is a nickname, and Robotnik is his last name, but which do you like best? EDIT: And the more I watch the trailers for the new Mario and Sonic at the Olympics game, the more I think that the officials must have had to put some sort of rule or restraint on Sonic. I have yet to complete Sonic 1 (have yet to pass Springyard Zone Act 2,) nor have I beaten Sonic 2 (I've got to Metropolis Zone as both Knuckles and Sonic, but died on act 1 as Sonic and act 3 before the boss as Knuckles.) It took awhile to beat the Sonic 3 boss, but then remembered insta-shield and it was a piece of cake. Then I went and got all the emeralds twice in case I got S&K to lock on with it, but realized I would have to make new save files. Then I got the mega collection, and played through S3&K, skipping over S&K entirely. I'll probably beat Sonic 1 soon though, given that you can get it on the PS360 versions of Generations, and you can not only buy the game itself through the skills shop, but also infinite continues (something very handy.) Too bad there are only six chaos emeralds, since you can get them really easily with debug mode. As for the robotnik/eggman, I use eggman more, since it's an insult, suits him nicely, and I'm more of a modern fan due to my first game purchase being a little less than a year ago. However, I generally use Robotnik for classic, and Eggman for modern to keep things simply (and it's shorter than having to add classic or modern so you know who I'm referring to.) Also, I agree that Sonic's abilities have been nerfed, so it will be fair (or as somewhat put it, Sonic: "Yo Nintendo, you're still paying me extra to slow down and make Mario look good right?" ) Another interesting thing is a throwback to Shadow the Hedgehog's game, specifically that there's a pistol-shooting competition, which Shadow has better accuracy at. Looks like he does have an advantage over Sonic. Also, nice to see their stats are similar, but not the same. For instance, I think Sonic's Acceleration is at 7, but his Max Speed is at 9, while Shadow has 8 for both Acceleration and Max Speed.

True. However, Sonic is just a normal hedgehog, who can somehow go faster than the speed of sound. Shadow was supposedly based off an ancient inscription of Super Sonic fighting Dr. Robotnik. Shadow was also designed to be the ultimate lifeform, and is above-average in most physical traits. As such, while he wouldn't be as fast as sonic, I'm saying he'd probably be about 2/3 as fast.

Lemme see if I can remember my Sonic 1 times...GHZ1 - 0:27GHZ2 - 0:24GHZ3 - 0:59MZ1 - 1:08 (I think...)MZ2 - 1:10 (Again, not sure...)MZ3 - 1:50 or something. I remember getting to the extra life shortcut by 0:50.SYZ1 - 0:28. That's an evil level to speedrun. :PSYZ2 - 0:28. Don't remember how...SYZ3 - 2:00, maybe. I can't remember.LZ1 - 0:57. Yay complex hidden shortcuts. :PLZ2 - 0:27. Glitches FTW.LZ3 - 3:00?? No clue. I can get 8 hits in on Robotnik though. xDSLZ1 - 0:28.SLZ2 - 0:29. It was extraordinarily frustrating to get under 0:30 there.SLZ3 - 1:50 or something. I know I usually got to the boss by 1:00.SBZ1 - 1:30?? No clue.SBZ2 - 2:00...? I have no idea.SBZ3 - 0:08 with a glitch. 0:27 if done without it though.Final Zone - 1:01.I haven't memorized any times for Sonic 2. Erm... no. If Shadow uses Chaos Control, he is infinitely faster than Sonic, because time has stopped.

If Chaos Control is used twice at the same time, a time portal opens up. Sonic '06 showed us that. So, apparently the street date has been broken, so Generations has been released early at some stores.Generations also has set the record for most preordered Sonic game.And there'll be a Classic Sonic float at the Macy's Parade.
